From Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi
By Taxi/Cab (Recommended):
Prepaid taxis and app-based cabs (Uber, Ola, etc.) are easily available at all airport terminals. The journey to IIT Delhi takes around 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic.
By Metro:
Take the Airport Express Line from IGI Airport to New Delhi Metro Station.
From New Delhi Metro Station, switch to the Yellow Line (towards Millennium City Centre) and get down at Hauz Khas Metro Station.
From Hauz Khas, IIT Delhi is about 2 km away. You can take an auto-rickshaw, e-rickshaw, or cab.
By Bus:
Airport shuttle buses are available, but they are less convenient. If you prefer buses, look for those heading towards South Delhi (Vasant Vihar / Hauz Khas) and then take a short ride to the IIT campus.
From New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) / Old Delhi Railway Station
By Taxi/Cab:
App-based taxis and prepaid cabs are available right outside the stations. Travel time to IIT Delhi is around 40–60 minutes, depending on traffic.

From New Delhi Railway Station:
Enter the Yellow Line Metro (New Delhi Metro Station, Ajmeri Gate side).
Take the metro towards MillenniumCity Centre and get down at Hauz Khas Metro Station.
From Hauz Khas, IIT Delhi is a short 5–10 minute ride by auto-rickshaw/cab.
From Old Delhi Railway Station (Delhi Junction / DLI):
Take the metro from Chandni Chowk Metro Station (Yellow Line) towards HUDA City Centre.
Get down at Hauz Khas Metro Station.
Take a short auto-rickshaw/cab ride to IIT Delhi.
