Hi, I'm Dipendu Pramanik

I am a Research Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Indore. I have obtained my Master's degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad. My expertise lies in Applied Mathematics, particularly in the realm of applied differential equations. Currently, my research delves into the intricate field of mathematical modelling for seismic surface wave propagation in layered mediums. I explore seismic wave behaviour within Earth-like structures, taking into account factors such as local/non-local elasticity, homogeneous/non-homogeneous layers, and isotropic/anisotropic mediums. To achieve this, I draw upon my knowledge of elasticity, viscoelasticity, poroelasticity, and the fundamental principles of seismic wave behaviour, weaving them into precise mathematical models that capture these complex physical phenomena.
