Parish Safeguarding Resources

Each Parish has a designated Parish Safeguarindg Representative. These are trained and experienced volunteers.

The Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency ( CSSA) has set out eight standards of what it expects in terms of level of safeguarding practice in church bodies. The standards can be found here:

The CSSA has a wide range of resources aimed at helping safeguarding reps perform their role. These include guidance on safer recruitment (including DBS), code of conducts, responding to allegations and creating a safer environment. The resources can be found here:
