Call for Submissions – Protist Special Issue on Dinoflagellates

Until the end of 2025, Protist is welcoming contributions for its upcoming Special Issue:
“Dinoflagellates – The Black Box of Eukaryotic Evolution”

This issue will cover all aspects of dinoflagellate biology - from molecular mechanisms and taxonomy to evolution, ecology, and beyond. Both primary research and review articles are welcome.

Particular interest will be in identifying knowledge gaps in our understanding of how dinoflagellates work, and the challenges facing the next generation of dinoflagellate biologists.
