Our Mission & Objectives

We recognize a significant separation between dinoflagellate specialists in imaging, molecular biology, and taxonomy. Our goal is to bridge these fields, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Key Goals

1. Connecting Experts Across Fields – Creating a space where dinoflagellate researchers from different disciplines can interact, exchange expertise, and collaborate.

2. Hosting an Online Dinoflagellate Seminar – Establishing a regular seminar series to engage a broader audience beyond just taxonomy, with a strong emphasis on early-career researcher (ECR) presenters.

3. Facilitating Support & Collaboration – Encouraging knowledge exchange, mentorship, and skill-sharing across labs.

4. Developing a Shared Resource Platform – Centralizing literature, datasets, microscopy images, and molecular data for easier access and better integration of knowledge.
