Finding a new barber is a tough decision - especially when there are so many barbers in San Diego to choose from. There are barbers in North Park that are so expensive that you will have to amputate your left arm and right foot in addition to paying 50+ dollars, so the goal with this guide is to stay away from that!
We wanted to find the best of the classics, and here are some of the best barbershops in America's Finest City! Spoiler alert! Normal Heights Barbershop Dino's Barbershop is our top choice!

Vince's Barbershop
Vince’s specializes in all haircut styles, whether you want modern or classic. Favorites include tapered cuts with comb overs as well as classic fades and other old fashioned styles such as flat tops all done using classic straight razor expertise that is rarely seen in today’s shops. With antique barber chairs and a barber pole, Vince’s has the feel of a real vintage shop straight out of the 1940s and 50s, which makes sense considering this San Diego landmark has been in existence since the 30s. In fact, the owner is a 5th generation barber.
Urban Shave
Urban Shave is not your typical barber shop. Instead of giving cookie cutter haircuts chosen out of magazines, Urban Shave barbers customize styles based on face shape and lifestyle. Appointments are booked online and customers are educated on the shop before they arrive. Because of this the barbers know exactly what the client wants as soon as they step in the door!
San Diego
Spanish for Saint Didacus, San Diego is a city in California on the coast of the Pacific Ocean and is known as America's Finest City. It is famous for its mild year-round climate, natural harbors, extensive beautiful beaches, the United States Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center.
San Diego has been called "the birthplace of California" because of Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo's landing on the bay. The Presidio and Mission San Diego de Alcalá, founded in 1769, formed the first European settlement in what is now California and it gives the city so much history.
The city is the seat of San Diego County and is the economic center of the region as well as the San Diego–Tijuana metropolitan area. San Diego's main economic engines are military and defense-related activities, tourism, international trade, and manufacturing. The presence of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), with the affiliated UCSD Medical Center, has helped make the area a center of research in biotechnology.
