Dinner Button is a local-first app. The production release has no user accounts, backend, analytics, advertising, or tracking. The developer does not collect, receive, sell, or share personal data through the app.
Dinner Button stores family nicknames and emoji, custom meals, preferences, votes, settings, and dinner history in the app’s local storage. The app uses this information only to provide its dinner suggestions and family voting features. It is not transmitted to the developer.
The device operating system may include app data in a device backup according to the user’s Google backup settings. Those backups are managed by Google, not by Dinner Button.
Dinner Button does not request camera, photo library, contacts, microphone, notification, or precise-location access. The production release does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or account services.
Users can open Settings and choose Reset app data to remove information stored by Dinner Button. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data, subject to any device backup managed by the operating system.
Dinner Button is intended for general family use. It does not ask for ages, legal names, email addresses, photos, or precise location, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be included in the app and posted at the privacy-policy URL on the app’s store page. The effective date at the top of the policy will also be updated.
