Solemnization

Perhaps one of the more popular and most frequented areas in the island city-state of Singapore is its Riverside area, home to nightspots, skyscrapers, luxury hotels, and entertainment venue. It is also home to a significant chunk of Singapore's history, as it is on the Singapore River's north bank where Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles made his first landing.

The Singapore River is a major artery that passes through the Central Business District. With all the business establishments, government offices found in the Riverside area, and with many tourists visiting the place all year round, it is easy to see why there are many hotels in the area to cater to the high demand.

Some sources will cite the hotels in the Riverside Solemnization area as some of the finest establishments in Singapore, perhaps the best excluding those in the higher-profile Orchard Road district with all the shopping complexes.

Riverside district hotels vary between mid-range establishments mostly found at the river's western end and the high-end hotels located in the Marina district in the eastern end. Of course, while the majority of the hotels can be classified into these two segments, there is also a sprinkling of other budget lodging establishments. This way, people with different budgets can all have a quality place to stay in.

The majority of the top-tier hotels can be found in the eastern part of the river. Among these hotels are old-school colonial hotels nearly a century old and modern hotels that cater to contemporary styles. The thing with many of these hotels is that staying there means paying $200 or more per night.
