DinCharya (“DinCharya App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects the privacy of its users and is fully committed to protecting personal information shared by users. This Privacy Policy explains in detail how information is collected, used, stored, protected, and shared when you use the DinCharya mobile application.
By installing or using the DinCharya app, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
DinCharya is designed to work primarily as an offline-first application, and we collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide core functionality.
When you use the app, we may collect personal information such as your name or email address only if you voluntarily provide it, for example while signing in using Google Sign-In or setting up your profile. This information is used solely to identify your account and enable optional cloud sync or premium features.
The app also collects routine-related data such as daily schedules, habits, journal entries, mood selections, meditation usage, and progress statistics. This data is primarily stored locally on your device and may be synced securely to the cloud only if you enable online sync.
Additionally, we may automatically collect limited non-personal technical information such as app version, device type, operating system version, and anonymous identifiers. This information helps us maintain app stability, improve performance, and fix bugs.
How Your Information Is Used
The information collected by DinCharya is used strictly to improve your experience and provide the features you choose to use. This includes allowing you to create and manage routines, track habits and streaks, write journals, practice guided meditation, and receive reminders or notifications.
If you choose to sign in or subscribe to premium features, your information is also used to authenticate your account, process payments securely, and restore purchases. Usage data may be analyzed internally to improve app design, feature performance, and overall reliability.
We do not use your data for profiling, behavioral manipulation, or selling purposes.
Data Storage and Security
DinCharya takes data security seriously. All sensitive information is protected using industry-standard security practices, including encryption and secure storage mechanisms. On-device data is stored using secure local storage, and cloud data is protected through trusted backend services.
When cloud sync is enabled, data is transmitted over secure connections. We make reasonable efforts to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
To provide essential functionality, DinCharya uses a limited number of trusted third-party services. These include Google services for authentication and advertisements, Razorpay for secure payment processing, and Supabase for backend and data synchronization services.
These third-party services may collect information as governed by their own privacy policies. DinCharya does not control how these services operate and recommends reviewing their privacy practices separately.
Advertisements and Subscriptions
DinCharya displays advertisements only to free users and only when the device is connected to the internet. Ads are provided through Google Mobile Ads and are designed to comply with Google Play policies.
Users who purchase a premium subscription enjoy an ad-free experience. Payment information is handled securely by third-party payment providers, and DinCharya does not store sensitive financial details.
Permissions and User Control
The app requests device permissions only when necessary for specific features. For example, storage permissions may be required to save files, microphone access is used only when recording audio, and notification permission is needed for reminders.
You always have control over permissions and can revoke them at any time through your device settings. The app will continue to function with limited features if certain permissions are denied.
DinCharya is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately upon request.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained only for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide services you have enabled. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Once deletion is completed, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems.
You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information. You may also withdraw consent for data processing or request data deletion at any time.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
DinCharya may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in features, legal requirements, or security practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
