Title: Basis Sets of Three-Dimensional Diffeomorphisms and Their Neighborhoods 

Abstract: Let f: M → M be an omega-stable diffeomorphism defined on a smooth closed n-dimensional manifold M. It is well-known that such diffeomorphisms have a hyperbolic chain-recurrent set, and periodic points are dense within it. Moreover, the chain-recurrent set is a union of so-called basic sets, each of which is compact, invariant, and topologically transitive. This presentation will discuss the basic sets of three-dimensional omega-stable diffeomorphisms, the topological structure of their basins, and the question of compatibility among various basic sets within the chain-recurrent set.
