on top of the hill located
on County Road 426
Toppled by a tornado on
April 4, 1922
All church and community members dedicated their time and labor to rebuild a new church at the same location
in the Hranice Community
*NEW* 2nd Building 1924
The new Brethren Church was built and dedicated in 1924, located in the same location on
County Road 426
On July 30. 1954, lightning struck the church, causing the church to burn down.
This Hranice church bell was struck by lightning, starting the fire that burned down the second church.
When the bell was struck, it started ringing and the ringing alerted the people in the community!
*The bellows pump organ was saved by lifting it through a window.
Leonard and Millie Mikulin
gifted a small piece of land atop a
beautiful hill on FM141, located in the Dime Box Community, for the new location to build our third Czech Moravian Brethren Church.
Members of the community again donated time and labor to build our present day Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, following the plans drawn up by Albert "Boots" Blaha.
The Church was dedicated on May 29, 1955.
Services are Sunday Mornings at 9:00 AM.
Come join us!!
