The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Parañaque, under the leadership of City Director John A. Visca, CESO V, conducted an Orientation on the Management of the Dead and the Missing (MDM) Protocols on November 5, 2025, held at the Parañaque City Hall.
The activity was attended by members of the MDM Response Cluster of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), together with representatives from the different barangays of Parañaque.
This orientation forms part of a series of capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing the preparedness of the CDRRMC and barangays on the proper management of the dead and missing persons, as well as in the updating of contingency plans.
The MDM Protocols serve as a coordinated inter-agency mechanism that ensures deceased individuals are found, retrieved, identified, and laid to rest in a manner that upholds dignity, respect, and cultural or religious traditions.
Through continuous capacity development, DILG Parañaque reaffirms its commitment to strengthening disaster response and management systems for a safe and resilient Parañaque City.
