Harris Christopher M. Ongchuan is the 11th Governor of the Province of Northern Samar.

Prior to his election as Governor, he was voted as Representative of Northern Samar’s 2nd Legislative District and was appointed as Assistant Minority Leader of the 19th Congress. He was an integral member of twenty one (21) crucial Congressional Committees, including the Committee on Appropriations, National Defense and Security, Public Works and Highways, Local Government, Health, Trade and Industry, to name a few.

Governor Ongchuan has more than 20 years of extensive record in public service. This includes having served as Municipal Mayor of Laoang, Northern Samar. He also became a Sanguniang Panlalawigan Member, a Sanggunian Bayan Member of Laoang and PCL President.

A hands-on public servant, he has brought thousands of assistance to individuals in crisis situations especially during the height of the pandemic. He is an advocate of health, peace and order, economic development, infrastructure, and social welfare.
