Dilek Sayedahmed, PhD

Bonjour/Hi! Bienvenue sur mon site web!

My name is Dilek, and I am a senior economist and researcher dedicated to fostering inclusivity through impactful consultancy. Renowned for my work with stakeholders, I specialize in budget planning, market design, policy design, and gender analytics to address inequities with innovative resource allocation methods.

With over three years of leadership experience, I have successfully guided teams, directed programs, and established strategic partnerships across corporate, public, and research sectors. My expertise lies in launching research initiatives, strengthening partnerships, and integrating communications and marketing with research and policy to drive social innovation and leadership.

My research combines Market & Allocation Design, Strategic Convening, Participatory System Mapping, and Inclusive Social Impact to redesign systems for profound societal change. Additionally, I focus on fact-checking, journalism, and reporting to ensure accurate and inclusive narratives in media and communications.

My team facilitates collaborations and data-sharing between Canadian and New York-based social scientists, amplifying our collective efforts. I am thrilled to currently wear multiple hats at the Equity & Inclusion Consultancy Group (Groupe de conseil et de recherche sur l'équité et l'inclusion), Women & Gender Equality Canada (Femmes et Égalité des genres Canada), and the Waterloo Institute for Social Innovation & Resilience (WISIR).
