Welcome! I’m Dihan Zou, a PhD candidate in Economics at UNC–Chapel Hill.

I am a microeconomic theorist working on mechanism design and contract theory, with applications to regulation and organizational design. My research asks how institutions can improve economic outcomes when information is private and the instruments for shaping behavior are limited.

I bring energy, empathy, and patience to teaching, combining economic intuition with interactive tools to help students from diverse backgrounds build confidence in their reasoning.
