Digitsmith: Calcudoku & Kakuro ("the app") is a number puzzle game made by one independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
What stays on your device
Your puzzle progress, best times, streaks, statistics, achievements, settings and in-progress boards are stored only on your device. We do not run servers for the app and we do not receive this data. Android may include it in your device backup (Google Drive) if you have backups turned on.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Ads appear between puzzles, on the home and puzzle-list screens, or when you choose to watch a video for a reward. They never appear while you are solving a board.
To show and measure ads, Google may collect and use:
your device's advertising ID;
your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
device and app information (model, OS version, app version, language);
how you interact with ads.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and in US states with privacy laws, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings Support & privacy Privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.
Google's use of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Purchases (Remove Ads, Expert Pack) are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation of which products you own, so it can unlock them and restore them if you reinstall.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. No data is sent anywhere for this.
Sharing
When you share a result, the app creates the text or image on your device and hands it to the app you pick. The image shows the board's shape only, never your digits.
Children
Digitsmith is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your personal data, requests about ad data are best made to Google. You can uninstall the app at any time to remove everything it stored on your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
