The Azores Youth Observatory (AYO), a partnership between the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences of the University of the Azores and the Regional Government of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, is organizing an International Webinar on “Digital Youth - Skills and Literacy” on the December 15th 2022, at 4 pm (Azores is one hour behind Lisbon and London).
The digital youths’ webinar aims to present reflections on the impacts and challenges the new Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) components such as Internet, mobiles and computers cause and, or pose to the youths. Considering that we are living in a more and more digitally globalized world, the urgency of the academic debate around the youth ICT skills and literacy subjects is crucial. It is imperative to understand if youngsters, education communities, organizations and systems are being able to keep up the pace of the progress of science, new technologies, information, and educational digital mechanisms and taking the best out of it on the path towards knowledge, and progress.
