Code Assembly

PROJECT OVERVIEW Code Assembly Ltd have designed and developed Incoder, a SaaS software application set to disrupt the way that software is developed around the world. Incoder uses AI enabling a developer to generate up to 100% of their unique code for all abstractions, essentially automatically generating code and drastically reducing the development time for any application.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES Incoder had been developed and was almost at launch stage. Code Assembly required help in identifying digital companies they could collaborate with locally to test the tool further and to develop templates that would create banks for the AI. They also requested assistance in identifying key contacts in the county who they could work with to help launch the product. In particular they were keen to engage with the Local Authority and other policy makers to ensure that they could promote the company and its innovation regionally.

PROJECT SOLUTIONS The Digital Solutions project worked with Code Assembly to identify possible collaborators and relevant support agencies, facilitating introductions and meetings and the promotion of Incoder to the wider digital community in Shropshire.

The project has resulted in some significant collaborations and support:

  • The introduction to Innovate UK has resulted in the company signing up to Innovate to Succeed and obtaining in-depth support to develop a bid for Innovate UK funding. This has also opened up other potential opportunities for further funding.

  • The company was introduced to Aston University and are now looking to undertake a KTP due the Aston University’s specialist expertise around AI.

  • The project also facilitated discussions with WM Academic Health Science Network resulting in an offer of incubator space and additional developer time from the AHSN.

  • As a direct result of the project the company now have representation on the Institute of Coding board at University Centre Shrewsbury

  • Code Assembly had their first unofficial launch at the projects DING event which resulted in over 40 companies learning about the possibilities of Incoder. As a direct result Code Assembly have found a VR developer to work with and a number of other digital companies based in the Shropshire area. It also provided a test bed for how they presented Incoder prior to their official launch in San Francisco.

This support will help accelerate getting Incoder to market, providing access to funds, expertise and collaborators. There are also future plans to investigate options for a Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Chester Business School.
