The Narrative Structure:
Heroes
Archetypes
Journey
Archetype VS Stereotypes:
Archetype means: original image.
Basic elements of a story (the story is about what the hero needs):
Setting: when and where it's happening.
Character: whatever can be personified.
Plot: what is happening or the series of events ( intro, rising action or climax, anticlimax and resolution.
Conflict: a challenge or problem on which the plot is based. Without conflict, the story will have no purpose or trajectory.
Theme: the idea, conviction, moral lesson or insight. It's the central topic that the author is trying to convey to the reader.
The Pixar storutelling formula:
Write about feelings and sensations that you know (universal feelings).
Look around you.
Ask yourself: What if...? This opens the door to imagination.
A good story is emotional.
