Accommodation:
What does accommodation mean? An accommodation is a change to the environment, curriculum format, or equipment that helps a student overcome or work around their disability (Do It, 2022). Accommodations change how the curriculum is accessed or tested.
How does this affect general education teachers? A teacher may have to use accommodation frequently. An example of accommodation is allowing a student who has trouble writing to give his answer orally (Center for Parent Information and Resources, n.d.).
-Accommodations are part of specially designed instruction that allows students to access and make progress in the general curriculum (Accommodation Central, n.d.).
