Selling digital products can be done as a primary business or a supplementary income stream, providing flexibility in how you run your business.
Here's a comprehensive guide to help you get started:
Identify your niche and audience - Find a niche that piques your interest and has a marketable need by doing some research. Determine who your target market is and learn about their wants, requirements, and problems. Example, your target market is printing businesses. Since back to school is right around the corner, your job is to provide them ready to print templates like school essentials such as name tags, notebook covers, memo pads, learning materials, planners for students and teachers.
Create high-quality digital products - Ensure your products are well-designed, user-friendly, and high-quality.
Set up an online store - Choose a platform to sell your digital products, such as Raketph, Shopify, WooCommerce, Gumroad, or Etsy. Create a professional and user-friendly website or store where customers can browse and purchase your products. I highly suggest you set up an account on Raket PH since it's free.
Price your products - Consider offering different pricing tiers or bundles to attract a wider audience. Set a competitive price, offering both a basic course and a premium package with additional resources. These days, bundles are on demand since a lot of people want to start selling by offering wide variety of products they can modify or rebrand. You can also put discounts on your selected products to attract more customers.
Optimize your product listings - Write compelling product descriptions that highlight the benefits and features of your digital products. You want your audience to know more about your products and how it will benefits them. Use high-quality images or screenshots to showcase your products. You can use mock-ups to showcase your products. Lastly, include customer reviews and testimonials to build trust.
Payment Methods - Set up secure payment gateways to accept payments from customers like Gcash, Paymaya, Paypal, and E- Banks.
Market your Digital Products
Content Marketing: Create blog posts, videos, and other content that showcases your expertise and promotes your products. You can use Tiktok to create video contents that might interest the viewers.
Social Media Marketing: Promote engaging content on platforms on Social Media. I only use Facebook for promotions but you can use other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.
OTHERS
SEO: Optimize your website and product pages for search engines to increase organic traffic.
Email Marketing: Build an email list and send newsletters, product updates, and special offers to your subscribers.
Paid Advertising: Use Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other paid advertising channels to reach a larger audience. If you have the means then you can integrate paid advertising to market your products.

A lot of you are confused between MRR and PLR products. So, MRR and PLR are acronyms commonly used in the world of digital product licensing. MRR (Master Resell Rights) allows you to not only resell the product to others but also to pass on the resell rights to your customers. Meaning, your customers can resell the product and can also grant resell rights to their customers. Generally, you cannot modify the product. You must sell it as-is. MRR is suitable for those who want to build a business based on reselling digital products. On the other hand, PLR (Private Label Rights) provides the most extensive rights, allowing you to not only resell the product but also to rebrand, modify, and claim authorship of the product. You can often edit the content, change the graphics, and repurpose it. This is suitable for those people looking to create a unique brand.
Choosing between MRR and PLR depends on your business objectives. If you aim to create a reselling network and leverage subsequent sales, MRR is the way to go. If you prefer flexibility, customization, and building a unique brand, PLR is the better option.
DFY (Done For You) refers to digital products or services that are fully completed and ready for immediate use by the customer. Meaning, the product is fully ready-made and does not require additional work or changes from the buyer.
