The course provides benefits for students in understanding the process of taking evidence in cyber crime cases, carrying out analysis, making reports and even giving testimony at trial in expert witness statements.
Apart from this, students can become pioneers of healthy internet in society, understand the culture of anticipating cyber crime, and become pioneers in the good use of information technology in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
About Digital Forensic
Digital forensics is a branch of forensic science, primarily concerned with the investigation and discovery of the contents of digital devices, and is often associated with computer crime. The term digital forensics was originally synonymous with computer forensics but has now been extended to investigate all devices that can store digital data.
More specifically, the Digital Forensics course begins with a background in digital forensics (especially in Indonesia), digital forensic principles and procedures, forensic triage, forensic analysis of digital and electronic evidence, and how to convey investigation results in the form of reports.
The outcome of this course is that students can analyze digital and electronic evidence submitted in the form of investigative reports. This report can lead to an introduction to the legal process in the field of digital forensics.
Competency
