This piece is influenced by the artist Christian Marclay. Specifically for his most notable piece, "The Clock". As well as their critiques on the concept of time. An alarm can be something we see in everyday life similar to a clock. Intrinsically in design did I want to take a different approach to illustrate what time might look like to someone. I wanted to take the perspective of time being this monster-like entity dressed in a business suit because we find ourselves always on the clock when it comes to business and that can be rather daunting. Titled, The Illusive Alarm, alarms are deceptive as is time, but we trust alarms and time to get us where we need to be, henceforth giving the artwork its name.

Christian Marclay on the Discussion of Time
How has the digital revolution facilitated a new era where artists can take advantage of a world "without borders"?
Art can be spread simultaneously all throughout the world with an easy click of a button. Art can also be utilized in so many forms to convey ideas and discussion on real world topics whether it be social, philosophical, political, etc. I believe due to this seamless connection and more production of creativity from the new resources to utilize will bring an interconnected way to reach others without restrictions or "borders". Content can be consumed so easily that, an artist in this day and age can likely find themselves a community or following if they can commit to their passion, and enjoy expressing it.
A montage of clips comprised of several thousand films that correctly depict the time, time zone, and minute by minute response for where the film is being exhibited. Christian Marclay has gone on to discuss how this piece can be identifiable as the phases of someone's career, or the idea of how death takes part in the aspects of time. His goal was to keep this fascinating and incorporate others assistance in making the overall composition which ultimately led to me being interested in its creation and meaning.
