"I've been using this planner for 3 years. I LOVE everything about it, specifically the ability for me to personalize all the pages I need. I can modify the lesson plan pages to fit the classes I teach. I also like that I can choose the extra pages I use and don't have to buy a pre-made planner with sections I don't use."

"I love the One Stop Planner! I teach 3-4 different high school courses each year and the planner helps keep me organized. The lesson planner is posted digitally for students and admin to see. I was able to edit it to meet my admin requirements. I use other forms to keep track of conferences with students, small group progress, late work, tardiness and absences which are color-coded by class period."

"As a homeschool parent, planning is a daunting task. Using the editable One Stop Planner makes it easy to enter lesson plans, change lesson plans and print. My weekly spread always looks fantastic, is legible, and I am good to go. Before I would try to scratch out or white out so I did not have to rewrite but this became tedious, messy and I missed assignments. Customization, is the part I enjoy most. I split columns and rows to accommodate my homeschool needs, I add in the week #, color code the subjects, fun color the days and add in digital stickers that represent a holiday or season. I change the Notes section to field trips or supplies needed. It is really easy to make my own for my needs."

"I have struggled for several years to find the planner that had just what I needed that didn't cost an arm and leg. With the One Stop Teacher Planner, I found what I was looking for. It took a little bit of time to set my planner up and get it printed just the way I wanted it, but I now have a planner that fits all of my needs. No more having 3 or more books to try to stay organized."

Possibly one of my favorite benefits of digital planning that makes my organized soul happy is the ease of inserting papers into my planner and not having stacks and stacks on my desk. When I receive a handout or agenda at a meeting, I quickly insert that page into my planner. When I need to find that page again, I simply use the search tool again and find that page! This helps me stay so much more organized without having endless amounts of papers! Check out the video below to see an example!

There are certain forms I must fill out during the school year that are issued by my administration. These forms can easily be adding and duplicated inside a digital teacher planner! Check out my youtube tutorial on adding your own templates into your digital planner!

I have used various online and paper teacher planners over the years; some of them have been really useful and I've used them continuously for a few years. However I'm sure like many of you, I like to change things up every now and again, and recently after seeing someone using a spreadsheet for their day planner I thought I'd turn to my trusty Numbers. I love Numbers as an infinite whiteboard, collaborative planning tool, and recently even a vision board for my renovations. I love that I can add images, photos, videos, links and text with such ease, but because I had previously used a third party teacher planner app, I'd never thought of for daily lesson planning.

I love that I can link directly to the lesson material, either online or in my files for easy access when I need it. I also love that I can record evidence of learning within the file; take photos of learning, upload scans, keep marks recorded. Most importantly I love that I can plan out my units in the matrix on the year specific tab (I create my matrix table fortnightly as I teach 7 or 8 lessons a fortnight per course and this allows me to see those two weeks at a glance), and I then simply copy and paste the individual lesson into the timetable planner tab. I can make changes and adjustments as I go, but also easily work from this as a basis for the following year.

In early 2010, Rod Hall, an elementary school teacher, was reflecting on the current school year, and planning how toleverage his summer break to best prepare for the next schoolyear. He had two primary goals. The first, to be more effectivein communicating with parents, to keep them "in the loop" onwhat was happening in the classroom. The second, to reduce timespent on weekly activities not directly tied to studentlearning.

In merging these goals, the idea of an online lessonplanner came into focus. This would allow a much simpler way tohandle lesson scheduling, with quick and easy methods toaccommodate all the events that cause plans to change. And byallowing parents to view his weekly plans online, he would givethem a powerful tool to know exactly what their children werelearning.

Rod recruited his brother Jeff, a seasoned softwaredeveloper, and what began as a weekend project soon became muchmore, and led to the official launch of planbook.com in Augustof 2010! Planbook quickly became the established market leaderin online lesson planning, and we now have over one millionteachers and one billion lessons in our system!

The equipment was essential for me to make the switch. Sometimes when people talk about planning digitally, they just type their plans into some kind of app. But, I need more. In order for me to switch to planning digitally, I needed to be able to physically write. This is what kept me using paper planners for so long. The iPad and Apple Pencil solve that problem for me.

Flashback to the previous school year and many years prior, my favorite way to prepare for back to school was to set up my own paper planner. With the Arc Notebook system from Staples, I was able to use my own templates and custom create my own planner. You can see what that looked like in this video. 006ab0faaa
