⭐ 1. Notepad क्या है?

Notepad एक साधारण Text Editor Software है जो Windows Operating System के साथ आता है।
इसमें हम साधारण Text लिख सकते हैं, Editing कर सकते हैं तथा छोटी-छोटी Files बना सकते हैं।

Notepad में Formatting कम होती है, इसलिए यह केवल basic text editing के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है।
इसमें बनाई गई file का extension .txt होता है।

⭐ 2. Notepad का Edit Menu

Edit Menu text से संबंधित कार्यों के लिए उपयोग होता है।
इसमें text लिखने, बदलने, खोजने, हटाने जैसे commands मौजूद होते हैं।

✔ Undo

• पिछले किए गए कार्य को वापस लाता है।
  
  

• यदि गलती से text delete हो जाए तो Undo उसे वापस ला देता है।
  
  

• Shortcut: Ctrl + Z
  
  

Example:
अगर आपने एक वाक्य delete कर दिया → Undo दबाते ही वह वापस आ जाएगा।

✔ Cut

• चुने गए text को remove करके clipboard में store करता है।
  
  

• यह copy जैसा दिखता है, लेकिन copy में text हटता नहीं, लेकिन cut में हट जाता है।
  
  

• Shortcut: Ctrl + X
  
  

Use Case:
यदि किसी शब्द को एक जगह से हटा कर दूसरी जगह रखना है तो cut उपयोग करें।

✔ Copy

• चुने हुए text को copy किया जाता है लेकिन original text वही रहता है।
  
  

• Clipboard में उसकी duplicate बन जाती है।
  
  

• Shortcut: Ctrl + C
  
  

✔ Paste

• Clipboard में save text को cursor की current position पर paste करता है।
  
  

• Shortcut: Ctrl + V

आप Windows के किसी भी app से text copy करके Notepad में paste कर सकते हैं।

✔ Delete

• चुने हुए text को बिना clipboard में store किए हटाता है।

✔ Find

• किसी शब्द, sentence या letter को खोजने के लिए उपयोग होता है।
  
  

• Shortcut: Ctrl + F
  
  

Example:
बड़ी file में “computer” शब्द कहाँ-कहाँ लिखा है यह Find से पता चलता है।

• Find द्वारा जो text मिला है, उसी text की अगली appearance खोजता है।

✔ Replace

• एक शब्द को दूसरे शब्द से बदलने के काम आता है।

Example:
"Student" शब्द को "Learner" से बदलना।

Format Menu text की styling और appearance को control करता है।

✔ Word Wrap

• लंबी line को automatically विंडो के हिसाब से तोड़ देता है।
  
  

• Word Wrap off होने पर horizontal scrollbar आता है।
  
  

Useful when:

• लंबी paragraphs लिखनी हों
  
  

• text को आराम से पढ़ना हो
  
  

✔ Font

Font option में तीन main features होते हैं:

1. Font Face

• टेक्स्ट का design बदलने के लिए
  
  

• जैसे: Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New
  
  

2. Font Style

• Text को Bold, Italic, Regular करने के लिए
  
  

3. Font Size

• Text की size बढ़ाने या घटाने के लिए
  
  

Tip:
Changing Font does not change existing formatting accuracy, only appearance.

⭐ 4. View Menu

✔ Status Bar

• Window के नीचे एक पट्टी होती है जिसमें cursor की position दिखाई देती है।
  
  

• Ln = Line Number
  
  

• Col = Column Number
  
  

Important:
Status Bar केवल तब दिखाई देगा जब Word Wrap off होगा।
