Quick Shots/Fast are a “film editing technique of several consecutive shots of a brief duration (e.g. 3 seconds or less). It can be used to quickly convey information, or to imply either energy or chaos. Quick Shots/Fast cutting is also frequently used when shooting dialogue between two or more characters, changing the viewer's perspective to either focus on the reaction of another character's dialog, or to bring to attention the non-verbal actions of the speaking character.” (Wikipedia)

B-Roll is the extra footage that helps the story move along. It’s our filler footage.
All three of these terms work together. Establishing shots let our audience know where, when, and time of day the film is taking place. Locations is established through b-roll footage as well.
