  1. DISCUSS (Engage students in a classroom discussion around the importance of being kind. Invite them to

     • listen to the story “Be Kind” read aloud which is all about how kindness can make a difference in the lives of others - you can watch it together in the classroom

     • look through the calendars of ideas for being kind

     • find one that they like and that they could do at home

     • perform a random act of kindness on someone. It can be writing them a note, performing a task for them, or doing something for them as a surprise

     • write about how doing something kind made them feel and what else they could do next time to help people.

And now they can answer the question "What does being kind mean to you?"

• 2. CREATE (create a collaborative book with Book Creator and share it with your students, inviting them to create their own pages)

  3. SHARE (share the ebook through a link; share your ideas and feedback on the Feedback board; comment other students' ideas)
