Aqualia…
Kinandon arrived back on the planet Aqualia. This time he was on a beach, so he had time to transform gill slits and a tail before going underwater. He spit some teeth out onto the sand. Jessica had beat him senseless. "That Jessica." Kinandon said. "I was playing with fire and I didn't even know it. I tried to kill a goddess." He said. Kinandon reached into a satchel he had tied around his waist and got out some pills. These were the same pills he took earlier to heal his bruised back and they were the pills Samantha gave Evander to save his life. He swallowed the pills and in a matter of moments, his broken nose went back into shape, his black eyes vanished, and his swollen jaw went down. His teeth, unfortunately, did not grow back. As miraculous as these pills were, they couldn't do everything. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice. "You got what you deserved. No one hurts my darling Evander and gets away with it." Kinandon turned around quickly to see Jessica there. She had a dark blue loin cloth around her lower area and she was shirtless with pink starfish covering her breasts. She was holding a Digi-Worm Phone in her hand, which was one of the two devices Kinandon created that allowed him to teleport to anywhere in the universe via a wormhole. Kinandon felt fear coursing through his body. One reason Ahab didn't hand the kingdom over to him was because of his timidness, but a combination of his rage and hatred towards Jessica, plus having powerful Digimon at his command, gave him a sense of confidence that he had never felt before. But now he had no Digimon with him, and now he knew that Jessica was a descendent of the powerful Sebastian Poseidon, an Aqualian merman whose powers were revered as godlike even by Aqualians. He fell to the ground and prostrated himself. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were a descendent of Poseidon! Please forgive me! Please forgive me! Don't kill me! I'll happily hand over the kingdom to you if you want if you'll just spare my life!" Kinandon begged. After he finished speaking, he began sobbing. Jessica looked down at Kinandon with a look of disgust on her face. "Pathetic." She said. "You came to my house last night playing warrior-king with your band of Devidramon and then sicked Tylomon after us knowing that we'd try to escape Hydramon by going to the ocean, and you want mercy?" She asked. "PLEASE!" Kinandon yelled. Jessica started laughing. She placed her left hand on her left starfish covered breast and began laughing even harder. "Look at you! You're such a coward!" She said before laughing some more. She gathered herself and said. "Relax. I won't kill you. Not yet. I just came here to let you know what you're dealing with. I announced myself as Jessica Glovion when I made my proclamation of war, but my real name is Anastasia Calista Poseidon. And I am every bit as powerful as my ancestor Sebastian. If you really want to get revenge on me and win the war against Earth, you'll need to send some of the most powerful Digimon you can find. I would get a thousand Mega levels if I were you." Jessica said. Kinandon looked up and wiped the tears from his eyes. He was still trembling. He was confused. She wasn't here to kill him? But wasn't that her original goal? Wasn't that why she came to Aqualia during the inauguration?
"W-w-w-w-w-why are you-you-you t-ttelling me this?" Kinandon said, nervous that it might be a trick. She might have said she wasn't going to kill him to let his guard down before blowing his head off. He considered her to be the most evil woman in the universe, so he wouldn't put it passed her. Jessica flipped her hair back. "I just want this war to be a challenge. My Digimon haven't had a decent battle in SOOOOOO long. Gabumon is starting gain weight. He could really use the exercise." Jessica said. "W-w-what?" Kinandon said, still not understanding why his enemy would be giving him advice on how to defeat her and the planet she aligned herself with. "Are you deaf? I'm a Digidestined with 3 Digimon who can assume their mega form. With my husband's Agumon, one of them can become Omnimon. And on top of all that power, I am like the second coming of the god Poseidon. With my power, I could crush every last man, woman, and child on this puny planet. I'm practically a one woman army! All I want is a little bit of a challenge." Jessica told him. Kinandon was sweating profusely. He knew she was right. Although in terms of normal military might, Aqualia could crush Earth, but given their alliance with the Digimon, and the fact that a descendent of Sebastian Poseidon was on their side, Aqualia was at a disadvantage. Jessica pressed a button on the Digi-Worm phone and started walking towards the wormhole it created. "I'm so looking forward to our war." She said before stepping into the wormhole. Kinandon stared at the place the wormhole once was. He pounded the sand. He was angry with himself for acting like a coward before his adversary. "I behaved like such a coward! Damn it! Katie would have never prostrated herself before the enemy!" He said out loud.
Earth…
Kyoko stood in front of her house looking at the hole that BoxerInsectmon had caused. The ground behind her was also severely torn up by Hydramon's Fault Break attack. Her eyebrow was twitching. "This….looks expensive. I told Evander it was coming out of his paycheck, but…." She knew she didn't pay Evander that much. She gave him a decent wage, and he got additional yen from the clients who submitted cases, so he made enough to live on even without Jessica, but without actually doing the math, Kyoko didn't know if he could pay for it or not. Evander and Jessica arrived through a wormhole. Evander was holding a trembling wet Jessica. "Jessica? Can I put you down now? You're kind of heavy." Evander said. Jessica snapped a glare at him. "I'm kind of what!?" She said. "Oh! Uh! No no! I didn't mean it like that! It's just-" Evander said, realizing his error. "You know I've been cutting carbs and doing cardio at the gym every day at the week! How dare you say I'm heavy? I'm no sea cow! I'm a little mermaid!" Jessica said defensively. "You're not objectively heavy! I just meant that I've been holding you for 15 minutes now and my strength in my arms is starting to fade!" Evander said defensively. Jessica started bursting out laughing. She wasn't really offended by Evander's comment and knew what he meant. She wanted to get his goat. Things had been so serious over the past 12 hours, she wanted to provide herself a good laugh. "What's so funny?" Jessica couldn't respond because she was laughing so hard. "I knew exactly what you meant. I just wanted to provide some comic relief." She explained. Evander set Jessica down gently on the sidewalk. Jessica concentrated really hard but she couldn't get her mermaid tail to transform back into human legs. "So, are you going to change back?" Evander asked. "I'm trying." Jessica said. Jessica was squinting and grunting. A couple more minutes passed. Evander was looking around. Some cars were passing by - though they had to swivel and swerve around the badly damaged pieces of road - and they were getting some strange looks from the people across the street. Jessica continued grunting and squinting. "Be careful. You might get a hemorrhoid." Bedmon said. Bedmon is Ladybugmon's In-Training form. Jessica stopped grunting and squinting and just relaxed. "Maybe you should take me inside." She said.
Inside, Evander carried Jessica into Kyoko Kuremi's bedroom. Jessica took her shirt off revealing a white bra underneath. "Evander, please put my shirt in the dryer." She said. "Sure thing." Evander said, taking the shirt from Jessica's hand. "There's a reason mermaids and mermen never wear shirts in their half-fish forms, and that's because shirts are so uncomfortable when wet." Jessica explained. "I figured as much." Evander said. Jessica then took her bra off and handed it to Evander. "Put these in there too." She said. Evander's eyes went from making contact with Jessica's to going a little bit south. As many time's as he's seen them, each time was an exciting experience. A big smile came across his face and some blood trickled down his nose. "Uh. Yeah. Yeah." Evander said. Evander was about to leave Kyoko's master bedroom to put Jessica's shirt in the dryer. As he opened the door, he saw Agumon standing there. "Hey, pal. Where you going?" He asked. "Hey! You're no longer Koromon!" Evander said, surprised. Agumon nodded. "Yep. Samantha gave us lots of food and we digivolved." Agumon explained. Agumon looked over to Jessica, "Jessica, I wanted to know if you were ok." He said. Jessica covered her breasts by folding her arms. "I'm fine. Just don't look at me right now." Jessica said, blushing. "Why not?" Agumon asked, confused. "Because I'm topless." Jessica said. "So? I've seen Evander without a shirt on plenty of times" Agumon said. "That's different." Jessica explained. "How so?" Agumon probed. Evander handed Jessica's shirt and bra to Agumon. "Agumon, do you know how to work a clothes dryer?" Evander asked. "Yep." Agumon responded. "Then put these in. This is a way you can help Jessica." He said. Agumon smiled and gave a solute. "You got it!" He turned around and headed for the laundry room. Evander turned around and went over to Kyoko's drawers. He started going through them to find one of her shirts. He gave one to Jessica. "Here, put this on. I'm sure Kyoko won't mind." He said. Jessica put the white shirt on and buttoned it up. Evander then got onto the bed Jessica was lying on, and lied right next to her.
They were silent for a few moments. Jessica broke the silence with a blunt question. "So...how much did you see?" Jessica asked. "I saw both of them. It was as enjoyable as ever." Evander said jokingly. "I meant how much of my…..you know….rampage….did you see?" Jessica corrected. Jessica still hadn't managed to turn her mermaid tail back into human legs. "I was unconscious for a little while. I woke up coughing up blood and water. I looked over and saw you beating the ever loving Hell out of Kinandon. I didn't think anything was weird until I realized the Tylomon were gone, but we had no Digimon with which to defeat them. There was also a demolished building. But then I saw you fly up into the sky in your mermaid form and manifest a trident in your hand. I stopped you just as you were about to deal the finishing blow." Evander explained. Evander was looking up at the ceiling as he was talking. He turned over to look at Jessica. "If I connect the dots between what I saw and what your mother said last night, I'd say you went all Percy Jackson on their asses." He said. Jessica was silent for a moment. "You're right. I'm a monster." Jessica said. "Why do you say that?" Evander asked. "I wanted to kill Kinandon, and I destroyed all of those Tylomon by throwing a building at them. And as I manifested that Trident in my hand, my next thought was that after I beheaded Kinandon, I would go to Aqualia and use my powers to lay waste to everything to make them pay for hurting you and persecuting me. Think about that for a moment; lay waste to an entire planet! To kill every man, woman, and child in an act of genocide! The thought occurred to me only for a second, but still…that such a thought would enter my mind… I'm not a princess. I'm not a goddess. And I sure as hell am not a mermaid. I am Leviathan." Jessica said. Evander thought he would try to lighten the mood. "Leviathan? You sure are pretty for a multi-headed sea monster of Canaanite mythology." Evander said. Jessica was silent.
"Look, Jessica. You were angry. We all have times in which we think things we shouldn't when we're angry. I've known you our whole lives. You're not a monster. You're not a Leviathan or any other sea monster. You're only huma-" Evander cut himself off. He was about to say the cliche "You're only human" line, only to realize that Jessica only looks human. He corrected himself. "You're fallible, just like the rest of us. Think nothing of it. You just had some thoughts that arose through anger. Now that you're calm, you have no intentions on reeking havoc on your planet. Like you said, the thought was fleeting."
Jessica sighed. "But if Greek myth is anything to go by, I'm insanely powerful. I could flood this entire planet and kill every last living thing if I wanted to. If the Greek myths about my great great great great a-hundred-times great grandfather are accurate." Jessica said.
"Do you want to flood the globe?" Evander asked.
"No, of course not." Jessica responded.
"Then why are you worried over the fact that you can?" Evander asked.
"Because what if at some point in the future all this power goes to my head. Like the old saying goes 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely'. What if I go mad with power and, like, take over the world or something? What if I do start to see myself as a goddess that everyone should worship and serve?" Jessica supposed.
Evander leaned over, and smiled at Jessica lovingly. "Abraham Lincoln once said 'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.' Jessica, I have known you our whole lives. You are a good woman. If you decide to make use of these newfound powers of yours, it will be for good, not for evil. You'll kind of be like Superman err...Supergirl; an attractive alien female with incredible abilities who defends Earth." Jessica looked Evander in the eyes and smiled. "You think Supergirl is attractive, do you?" She asked in a teasing tone. Evander looked away and blushed. "Well, I-I mean Mellisa Benoist is kind of cute, but she certainly has nothing on you, honey." Jessica kissed him. "Thank you...for believing in me." She said.
Evander placed his hand on Jessica's mermaid tail. "I do believe in you." He said. The moment he said that, her tail morphed back into human legs. Perhaps Jessica's difficulty to transform back and forth thus far was psychosomatic?
Later that evening, after it had gotten dark, Evander, Jessica, Samantha, Kyoko, and the Digimon were eating dinner. It was homemade vegetable soup. "It sure is nice of you to feed us after I punched a hole in your wall." Ladybugmon said before taking a big slurp of soup. "Well, it's not really your fault. But what will you do now? Clearly, Kinandon has a way to track you. He knows where you are." Kyoko said before turning to Jessica, "Before I took your shirt and bra out of the dryer, I checked for tracking devices, but couldn't find any." Kyoko said before taking in a spoonful of soup. "Maybe they're on the Digimon." Samantha suggested. Kyoko shook her head. "I thought of that. But I searched all of the Digimon and couldn't find a single thing." Gabumon looked at her. "So that's what you were doing! I thought you were just checking for fleas." Gabumon said.
Evander put his elbows on the table and folded his hands. "Maybe Kinandon put some kind of spyware in one of our Digimon. Perhaps it's not ON them, but IN them." Evander said. Terriermon looked mortified. "Hold on! I don't remember any crazy fish king shoving anything up MY butt!" Terriermon said. "That's not what I meant. You Digimon are data. It could very well be the case that Kinandon, or someone who was working with him, put some kind of virus or software in one of you so he could keep track of us just in case we got away." Evander hypothesized. "Evander." Kyoko said. "Yes, Miss Kuremi?" He responded. "Elbows off the table. It's rude." Evander sweat dropped like an anime character and removed his elbows. He thought he looked cool, but Kyoko had to ruin the moment.
Evander then had an idea. "I think we should head to the Digital World and contact Jijimon. He might know a way to scan to the Digimon's code and properly detect the spyware." Evander said. "It couldn't hurt." Agumon said. Samantha's eyes lit up. "I'll come with you. I might be able to see Betamon again!" She said. Evander had a sad look on his face. Agumon put his claw on Evander's shoulder. "Don't worry, Evander. That Betamon isn't the one that got sold to the Digi-Market in Eden." Agumon said. Evander smiled and nodded.
After dinner, everyone stood around Kyoko's open laptop. Evander held his orange smartphone-like digivice up to the computer screen. "Digi-Port Open!" Suddenly, the screen lit up and the human, the two Aqualians, and their Digimon were sucked into the laptop screen. Kyoko looked stoic. "Yeah….at this point, nothing surprises me." Kyoko said.
The Digital World…
Evander, Jessica, Samantha, and the Digimon came through a portal. Unfortunately, it was 20 feet in the air, so they all came crashing down. They groaned in pain. "Ow! That's smarts!" Agumon said, rubbing his behind. Jessica looked surprised that the fall didn't hurt her. "Something broke my fall." She said. Evander spoke up. "Yeah, I did." She looked down to see that she was sitting on Evander. "Can you two get off of me?" Samantha asked. Jessica had fallen on Evander who in turn fell on Samantha. They all got up. Gabumon was rubbing his horn. "My horn isn't cracked is it?" Terriermon walked a few steps over to where Gabumon was standing. "Let me examine it." Terriermon said. Gabumon bent over so Terriermon could examine his horn. "Nope. Your horn is fine. It's just your brain's fractured." Terriermon said. "Hey." Gabumon said. "Just bustin' your chops." Terriermon said before turning around and heading towards his human partner, whose landing point was 10 feet away from them.
Jessica looked out at the ocean. "This looks like File Island." Evander looked into the forest. "No time to waste. Let's find Jijimon." Evander said. Jijimon's house was in File City. According to Digimon Wiki "File City is a small rural-like town. Its outskirts are mainly used as residential areas. The northern section is comprised of a few buildings, such as Birdra Transport, Jijimon's House and an item bank, all surrounded by prairie. There is a small meat farm behind Jijimon's house; continuing north leads to a cave a Drimogemon uses for exploring, while following the northeastern path leads to a path behind a waterfall that leads to Mt. Infinity. Going west from Jijimon's House leads to Green Gym, while following south leads to the main plaza."
Before they could make a move toward File City, they heard voices that sounded like a group chanting. They looked over to find that some distance across the sandy beach, about 40 feet from where they were standing, was a Shellmon instructing a dozen Betamon in a workout session. They were were all jumping up and down as Shellmon vocalized like a metronome. "Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut!" Shellmon said. At every "Hut!" that came out of Shellmon's mouth, the Betamon would jump up. "It's a bunch of Betamon!" Agumon said. "I wonder what they're doing." Gabumon said. They all walked over to the exercising Betamon and asked what was going on. The Betamon looked surprised. "Humans? What are humans doing here?" One of the Betamon asked. "If humans are here, it can't mean anything good. Humans only come here when our world is in danger!" Betamon said, sounding fearful. The Shellmon looked intently at Jessica. Jessica noticed the Shellmon staring at her and was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. "Oh no. Don't tell me this Digimon thinks I'm a snack….in either usage of the term" She said mentally. The Shellmon continued to stare at her. Jessica began grimacing, feeling more uncomfortable. Finally, the Shellmon decided to say something. "You look familiar. Are you Jessica Amber?" Shellmon asked. Jessica looked surprised. "How do you know my name? Wait! Are you-" She was cut off, "Yep. I'm the Shellmon who oversaw the trial for your Crest Of Affection many years ago!" Jessica smiled and her eyes lit up. "Oh my gosh! You're THAT Shellmon!? It's been a long time!" She said. "It has indeed! You sure have grown!" Shellmon said. It was like a reuniting of old friends. "We're in trouble! The Digidestined have come back! Our world is in trouble again! We need to take shelter! What if it's another Digimon Ruler? What if it's something like the Anti-Royal Knights? What if it's Eaters!? I don't want to back to living in Eden!" One of the Betamon said, getting more and more worked up as it talked. Another Betamon got annoyed. "Shut up!" He said as he smacked his fellow Betamon on the back on the head.
Samantha looked around at the Betamon, starting to feel a little sad. Suddenly, she saw one of the Betamon in the group hop over to her. It looked up at her and stared at her intently. Samantha was now the one starting to feel uncomfortable. "Umm….hello there." She said. The Betamon didn't respond. It just kept staring at her. "Is there anything I can do for you?" Samantha asked. "Are you who I think you are?" The Betamon asked. Samantha started wondering if maybe this was HER Betamon, so she responded "Are YOU who I think YOU are?" The Betamon said "I don't know who you think I am, but I think you're Samantha Marina, my partner." Betamon said. Samantha lit up and smiled. She reached down and hugged it. "Yes, I am!" She pulled back after Betamon made some muffled noise. "But, I got married. So my last name is now Silver. But yes, I am your partner. Oh Betamon, I missed you so much!" She said. She embraced her partner again. Another Betamon hopped forward and looked at Samantha worryingly. "Is….is Keisuke here?" He asked. Samantha shook her head. "Sorry, I don't know anyone by that name." Agumon looked stunned. He pointed at the Betamon who asked about Kesuke. "Hey! I thought hackers sold you in the Digi-Mart in Eden!" Agumon said. Jessica was surprised. "You seem like you can tell all these Betamon apart." Agumon looked offended. "Are you saying that you think they all look alike? That's a little racist. I suppose you think I look exactly like Nokia's Agumon?" Agumon said. Jessica grimaced. "Well…." She said, "My heavens!" Agumon said. He folded his arms and looked away from Jessica. The Betamon he pointed to said "Yes, I was sold to the Digi-Market, but a kind human named Keisuke freed me along with a Gotsumon and Tentomon. He became my partner. I got to Digivolve all the way to Mega." He said.
Evander stuck his hands in his pockets and frowned. "Sorry, I don't know any Keisuke." Evander said. Keisuke's Betamon looked sad. "But if I ever get to meet him some day, I'll tell him you're doing well." Terriermon asked what all the Betamon were doing here on the beach and Samantha's Betamon told them that they were training so that they could digivolve. Digimon can digivolve naturally if they get enough training and fighting experience. If they digivolve that way, they can stay in their newly digivolved form. Digivolution by means of a digivice is artificial and Digimon who digivolve that way always revert back to the stage they were when they last digivolved naturally. They revert when they win the battle, get defeated, or simply run out of energy. "Since I didn't know if I'd ever see you again, I thought I'd try to digivolve naturally." Samantha's Betamon said. "Well, I'm here now." Samantha said. "Boy, you've really grown! If only I could have grown." Samantha's Betamon said.
Evander looked towards the forest which was what you had to walk through in order to get to File City. "Shellmon, it's been nice seeing you again, but we really need to get to File City." The Betamon all hopped over to Jessica and stared at her. "What? What is it?" Jessica asked. "We don't know. We just...are fascinated by you. There's something about you - like an aura emanating from you that makes us…." One of the Betamon said. Shellmon finished his sentence. "Something about you makes us want to serve you." He said. Jessica was creeped out by this. Knowing she was a descendent of Sebastian Poseidon, she figured she probably could control sea life, but she never imagined that would extend to water type Digimon. Shellmon or other water type Digimon never acted like this before. Was it because of what happened earlier that day at Miyako Island? Did she turn on some kind of fish pheromone when she tapped into Poseidon's powers?
They headed off to File City. They went into the city and passed several Digimon just living small town life. A Biyomon walked out of one of the shops with a bag of groceries. She turned back and said "Have a nice day, Deramon." They came to Jijimon's house and knocked on the door. Someone answered it, but it wasn't who they expected. The one who opened the door was a feminine Digimon with fair skin and blue hair. It was wearing a blueish grey helmet with yellow insect-like eyes and light blue armor cut to expose its thighs. The armor had a yellow fur-trimmed collar. It also had large blue butterfly-like wings on its helmet, and a blue showgirl skirt cut like a butterfly's wings. "Humans!? I thought….wait, no. You're the ones who took down the Mother Eater who was consuming Vggdrasil. How did you find your way back into this world?" The humanoid butterfly Digimon asked in astonishment. "It's kind of a long story. But we have been here before. Briefly two years ago, like you said, to defeat The Mother Eater. And we came here before that back in 2006." Evander said. Then it occured to him; how does this Digimon know about The Mother Eater? "We're looking for Jijimon. He's a friend of ours." Agumon said.
"Jijimon is out getting groceries. He'll be back soon. Come on in." Said the humanoid butterfly Digimon. "I'm Hudiemon, by the way." Evander noticed that Hudiemon's voice sounded like two voices speaking in unison. "I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but are you a jogress Digimon? You sound like you're speaking with two voices." Evander said. "I noticed that too. Are you like Omnimon?" Ladybugmon asked. Hudiemon put her index finger to her lip, thinking of how best to answer that. The answer wasn't simple. "Well, you're not wrong. I am a fusion of two beings. I was once a human girl named Erika Mishima, and I was once a Digimon named Wormmon." She replied. Their expressions turned surprised. "So, like a biomerge digivolution?" Jessica replied. Everyone went and took a seat, either on Jijimon's couch, or on one of his chairs. Hudiemon started flying into the kitchen "I suppose that wouldn't be an inaccurate way of describing how I came to be." She said. Hudiemon had put some tea on. She poured it into several glasses and got a box of sugar out of the cabinet. She got a very large helping of sugar and poured it into the tea cups. She took a spoon and stirred it up. Hudiemon then grabbed a bottle of Maple Syrup and poured it into the tea. A lot of it! She poured a lot of maple syrup into her guests cups. She then stirred the maple syrup and flew back into the living room. She gave each one of her guests a cup. Evander, Jessica, Samantha, Agumon, Gabumon, Terriermon, Ladybugmon, Leormon, Pawnchessmon, and Betamon all took a sip simultaneously. They were all utterly shocked at how incredibly sweet the tea was! Evander felt pain coursing through every single one of his teeth. "Wait!" He mentally said. "Don't tell me that this tea is so sweet that it gave me cavities in every single one of my teeth simultaneously! NOOO!!! I was so proud of being cavity free for the last 5 years! My dentist will be so disappointed with me!" Jessica, on the other hand, was knocked unconscious. "So….sweet….." She said. Ladybugmon….well, Ladybugmon was flying around the room at such high speeds that he could barely be seen with the naked eye. "WHOO HOO!!!!!! BOY! THAT STUFF IS SWEET! HOLY MOTHER OF VGGDRASIL!" Ladybugmon shouted as he continued to fly around the room. Terriermon looked wide eyed and stared at the wall. "Can I…..can I see sounds!?" Terriermon asked. Hudiemon giggled. "Sorry. I like my beverages really sweet. I wasn't thinking. I'm only used to preparing tea and juice for Jijimon and myself." She said.
Jessica had slightly regained consciousness. "So….sweet….so…..sweet." She muttered.
Somewhere else in File City, Jijimon was checking out with a bag of groceries. Deramon could see that Jijimon was an elderly Digimon, so he said "Would you like a senior's discount? Any Digimon over the age of 65 or older gets half off of all their groceries, even if they never managed to Digivolve past Rookie!" Deramon said. Jijimon nodded. "Yes, that would be great. Thank you." Jijimon paid for his groceries and turned to walk outside. Jijimon was a short Digimon about 4 feet tall, with scraggly white hair covering literally every inch of his head. Not even his eyes were visible. He carried a walking stick with a large cat-like paw on the end that looked like a much larger version of a Gatomon's paw. He wore a brown leather robe, and had big poofs of white hair on his large feet. Jijimon walked out of the shop with a bag of groceries and put them in a wagon that he owned that was nearby. "I should have gotten Hudiemon to do this. I'm getting too old for all this errand running." Jijimon said. Hudiemon lived with Jijimon and was his housekeeper, but they had more of a grandfather/granddaughter relationship than a employer/employee relationship. She even called him Grandpa out of affection.
As Jijimon was walking down the street, a hooded figure snuck up behind him with a big mallet. The hooded figure struck Jijimon hard on the head! He lost consciousness. Jijimon fell over. The hooded figure smiled.
Back at Jijimon's house, they heard another knock at the door. Hudiemon flew over and opened the door. "Oh, Grandpa. You've returned." She said. Jijimon was standing right there at the door. "Yes, I am back." He said. Jijimon was holding the groceries that he had picked up at Deramon's shop. "I bought some hamburger meat to make hamburgers tonight. Since I'm a senior, I got 50% off." Jijimon said. "Did you get the Burgermon brand? Their meat is always the best quality." Hudiemon responded. "Yes. I got that." Jijimon said.
Hudiemon took the groceries out of his hands and put them away for him. Jijimon walked into the living room area and saw Evander, Jessica, Samantha, and their Digimon sitting there. Evander smiled and waved. "Hey, Jijimon. Long time, no see. Remember me? I'm Evander. I'm all grown up now. I've got a job, a beard, a wife." Evander said before being cut off. "But no driver's license." Agumon said. Evander scowled and growled slightly. "Jijimon" was ecstatic. "Oh, yes! I remember you! The Digidestined. Are only you three here?" Jijimon asked. Jessica nodded. "Yeah. Mario and Flora are in America, and Zai is back home on Devillis. Emily is in New York, and we completely lost contact with Rachael and Tameron." Jessica explained.
"I'm happy to see you, but why have you come?" Jijimon asked. Jessica explained her whole situation. It was a long story, so it took her about 20 minutes to get through it all. Jijimon, who was now sitting down on the couch where Evander was previously sitting (he had sat on the floor to give Jijimon a place to sit) was rubbing the white hair of his scraggly beard. "Yes. That is troubling. The Three Great Angels, Gennai, Krasus, Yukio, and I had a meeting recently. Gennai told me of a great evil arising in The Digital World. A person known as Agent Salvation plans to destroy Earth and Aqualia. I'll bet he or she used the ShapeChange device you mentioned to take your form, declare war on Aqualia on Earth's behalf, and is also the one pretending to side with Kinandon." Jijimon said. Evander raised his finger. "He or she must also be the one giving Kinandon all of the Digimon we've had to fight so far." Evander said. Jijimon nodded. "Yes. All of the clues fit together." Jijimon said.
Samantha sighed. "If we just knew where this Agent Salvation was, we could confront them." Suddenly, Jijimon's communication device started ringing. Jijimon hopped down from the couch and reached into his pocket. He answered. "Yes? …….. Yes? …….Oh, I see. That's fantastic! I'll tell them right away. ….. Thank you. Bye, now." Jijimon said. "Who was that, Jijimon?" Gabumon asked. Jijimon turned and looked in Gabumon's direction. "That was MarineAngemon. He is the mayor of the Underwater City 100 miles off the coast of File Island. He contacted me and told me that they arrested a suspect that fits the description of Agent Salvation." Jijimon explained. Everyone's spirits brightened up.
Jijimon explained that Underwater City was 100 miles to the south, and that they had to go underwater to find it, of course. The city was submerged about several miles beneath the ocean floor. It was at the halfway point between File Island and The Continent Of Server. The city was under a large clear dome with a tunnel system that connected to File Island. Oxygen was pumped in from the outside so that the inhabitants who weren't water type Digimon could breathe. Evander asked how they would go there since they couldn't swim that long, and there's no way they could hold their breath long enough to dive down two miles. They had no diving gear. The only ones who could really do it were Jessica and Samantha if they shifted to their mermaid forms. Jijimon said not to worry about that, and that MarineAngemon was sending the transportation they needed. "All you need to do now is go to the beach on the east side of the island." Jijimon said.
So, the group went to the east side of the island. When they got there, they saw several Submarimon sitting in the shallow parts of the ocean. "Hey there. You guys with Jijimon?" One of the Submarimon said. "We are!" replied Agumon. "We're your ride." The Submarimon said. Submarimon was one of the digivolved forms of Armadillomon. Armadillomon could armor digivolve into Submarimon using the Digimental of Reliability. Submarimon was a machine-like Digimon with a drill on the front, yellow feet on the back, front flippers, and a cockpit for passengers to ride inside. The cockpit had a clear covering so passengers (or drivers depending on whether Submarimon gave over control) could see outside. MarineAngemon had sent 10 Submarimon to carry each of them to Underwater Kingdom. They all got in and took off.
Aqualia….
Back on Aqualia, scientists were working in a lab on an island not far from the castle. They were all wearing loin cloths and had no shirts, but had lab coats on. They were all typing away and clicking on computers. They were clearly busy. Kinandon walked in. He was still feeling the humiliation from earlier that day when he prostrated himself before Jessica and begged for his life. He never could stand up for himself. Whenever he would get picked on by other kids, Katie was always the one who came to his rescue. It didn't matter that Kinandon was one of the king's sons. In fact, it was BECAUSE Kinandon was one of the king's sons that other kids picked on him. They thought that he was arrogant and looked down on them. Nothing could be further from the truth, but they believed that anyway. One would think that the king would bring the hammer down on kids who bullied his son and the parents who didn't raise them right, but whenever Kinandon complained to his father, Ahab told him that if he couldn't stand up for himself on his own, he'd never be fit for the throne.
But now Kinandon was king, but only because his sister, the queen, was assasinated mere minutes after she assumed the throne. Kinandon asked "How is your research going?" One of the scientists responded. "We're doing all we can. But, something like this has never been tried before. We're trying to merge two things that never were meant to merge." He explained. Another scientist said "Never meant to merge? That's right. What we're doing is unnatural. If you want my opinion, It's….heretical. I fear that the Greatest Spirit will punish us for even trying." Another scientist said. Kinandon walked over and punched that scientist in the face, knocking him out of his chair. "Who said I wanted your opinion?" He asked angrily. In college, he was timid around the very men he was now surrounded by. He would never raise his voice or even contradict anything they said. He didn't want any trouble. He just wanted to go along to get along. But his powerful anger against himself for that behavior earlier in front of Jessica drove him to be bold, here and now. The scientist he punched responded "I-I-I'm sorry, my liege. Forgive me. I was out of line." He said in a fearful tone. He knew the king could have him executed for any reason he deemed fit. The monarchy on Aqualia was powerful. That is why you wanted a kind and good ruler.
Kinandon walked over to a large vertical cylindrical shaped chamber. It was roughly 9ft tall, 30in to 48in in diameter. The front of the entire exterior was made of glass. It was filled with an orange fluid with bubbles surfacing up to the top. Inside this large tube...was Katie! Katie had several wires and tubes attached to her body. Katie wasn't conscious, but she floated in the test tube in mermaid form with all of these wires, and tubes sticking into her. The wires and tubes were hooked up to a large machine that connected to all of the computers in the laboratory. Kinandon reached out and put his hand on the glass. "The chance of failure is 99.999999% according to my calculations. But if there's any chance at all that I can have you back, I must try. And I won't care what you look like." Kinandon said in a loving and gentle tone.
What were Kinandon and these Aqualian scientists up to?
The Digital World;
Back at Jijimon's house, Hudiemon started to head into the kitchen. "I'm so glad your friends will finally get this threat." Hudiemon said. She suddenly heard a feminine voice behind her. "They're not my friends." the voice said. Startled, Hudiemon turned around to see Jessica Glovion standing before them. "The other Jessica!" Hudiemon said out loud. Jessica's eyebrows raised. "Oops. Wrong setting." She took out a blackish grey device and pushed a few buttons. She morphed into a small, green, amphibious looking Digimon with a yellow bill, and what looked like green wreath around its head. It was covered in green scales, had human-like ears, and it had a turtle shell. It was wearing a small blue cape. It had webbed hands and feet. Hudiemon looked astonished. "She's sending them into a trap!" She said mentally. She turned for the door, but suddenly saw pins made of water fly past her and hit the door, piercing it and leaving pin pricks. "Sorry, but I can't let you leave to warn them" The little amphibious Digimon said. Suddenly, the little green Digimon began glowing white. "Kappamon warp digivolve to...AK-Mermamon!" Suddenly, the turtle-froglike Digimon had transformed into a beautiful mermaid with short blonde hair, a bear torso save for red breast coverings that looked like red autumn leaves, and two bandoliers holding a plethora of bullets strapped over her chest in a X shape. She had two machine guns in each hand.
