Chapter 10: Clash Of The Tridents

Back on Earth, Jessica and Flora were sitting on the balcony of Jessica's and Evander's apartment. Jessica and Flora were having coffee. It was the next morning. "Do you mind if I ask a personal question?" Flora asked. "Sure." Jessica responded. "You've been married to Evander for nearly 10 years now, right?" Flora asked. "So...why don't you have any children?" Jessica took a sip of her coffee and looked sad. "Well, we have been trying. But the tests have come back negative each time. I'm worried that our differences in biology may be the cause. I may look human right now, but….I'm not. Evander is, and so….what if we're not biologically compatible. Evander said that we should be similar enough for reproduction to be possible. 'Like a horse and donkey making a mule!' he said. But …I'm not sure." Jessica said. Flora looked saddened. She had been having the same issues with Mario.

They were both silent for a moment. "Wait, did he just compare you with an ass?" Flora asked. Jessica didn't say anything, but they both started laughing.

A bluish white portal opened up and Samantha came through. She looked distressed. "Jessica! It's terrible! There's a Digimon wreaking all sorts of havoc on Aqualia!" Samantha said. They both leaned forward. "I take it it's not something you and Betamon can handle alone?" Flora said. "The king's entire army of Digimon can't handle it! She's destroying everything!" Jessica and Flora looked stunned. Jessica ran inside and alerted Evander and the Digimon. After she did so, Mario and Zai showed up at Nakano Apartment Complex where Evander and Jessica lived.

"Why would a Digimon in the king's army start running amok?" Mario queried.

"I don't know! But you have to come and stop it!" Samantha pleaded.

Everyone was outside of Evander's and Jessica's apartment. They all nodded and said "Right." Samantha got her Digi-Worm phone out and opened up a portal to Aqualia. They all ran through it. When they arrived on the other side of the wormhole they saw an armor clad mermaid causing maelstroms to destroy nearby buildings. It was AncientMermaidmon! "We're on the Continent Of Asioo." Samantha said. Up in the sky, a hundred Devidramon and Darkdramon were trying to stop the rampaging mermaid. "Dark Roar!" One of the Darkdramon shouted before firing a powerful beam of dark matter at the rampaging mermaid. The AncientMermaidmon deflected the Darkdramon's attack by spinning her trident so fast that it looked like a large spinning plane propeller. By doing this, AncientMermaidmon deflected the attack. After the attack was deflected, AncientMermaidmon screamed "Crystal Billows!" before creating water out of thin air, crystalizing it into super solids and firing it at the DarkDramon like a machine gun. The Darkdramon grunted as it got hit with all of the crystalized water bullets. Its armor partially protected it, but it still got hit in some of the open spots. "Crimson Claw!" One of the Devidramon attacked. He was going to slice AncientMermaidmon with his glowing crimson red claws but before they could make contact, AncientMermaidmon spun around and cut the Devidramon in half with her trident! The Devidramon reverted back to a DigiEgg which fell to the ground below. AncientMermaidmon then looked at the hundreds of Devidramon approaching her. She screamed again before pointing her trident at them and attacking them with a "Crystal Billows!" The Devidramon all got hit and reverted back to DigiEggs.

"Gigastick Lance!" The Darkdramon behind her attacked using the Gigastick Lance on its right claw. The AncientMermaidmon deflected it with her trident. She grunted like some kind of cavewoman. AncientMermaidmon and the Darkdramon then clashed weapons; her trident and his Gigastick Lance. Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! It was like a fencing match! "Terrible Gaze!" The Darkdramon shouted before shooting a strange beam from its eyes to numb the enemy. AncientMermaidmon got hit with the attack, and was momentarily immobilized. The Darkdramon had a chance to give a killing blow, but he chose not to take it.

Kinandon was standing on the ground below looking up at the conflict. "Katie! Please! Stop! You're destroying everything! This is your home! These are your loyal subjects!" Kinandon pleaded. The Digidestined were standing nearby. They were so enraptured by the battle up above that they didn't even notice Kinandon standing there until he cried out. When Kinandon cried out, they looked over to him. Given that they were distracted, they were unsure of whether they heard what they thought they heard.

"Did you just call that thing Katie?" Kappamon asked. Kinandon looked at them. The second Kinandon saw Jessica's face in the group, he ran towards her, pinned her to the ground and began choking her. "You bitch! This is all your fault!" He said, his hands gripping her neck tighter and tighter. Evander was going to intervene, but Flora jumped up and kicked him in the jaw like a karate master, sending Kinandon backwards. "Purrfect hit!" Flora said. Gatomon got an annoyed look on her face and one comically large sweat drop went down the side of her head. "Oh gosh, please don't start making cat puns." She said in a monotonous voice. Evander walked over to the Kinandon, now sitting on his butt, and grabbed him by the vest. "What the hell is going on here? What is that Digimon? Why is it wrecking everything? And why are your own Digimon soldiers going after it?" Evander asked. "It's Katie! It's my sister….Katie!" Kinandon said. Evander looked frustrated. "You're not making any sense!" He said. "My scientists and I….we were working on a way to bring Katie back from the dead. We were….going to fuse her mental data with that of a Digimon. My advisor and partner; Agent Salvation, took a DigiEgg of an ancient mermaid Digimon. We used the Digimon in that DigiEgg. But….when Katie woke up, she writhed in agony in the amniotic chamber and...when the fusion was complete, she came out as this Digimon! But it's like she's not even in there!" Kinandon explained. Evander let go of Kinandon's vest and let him back down. Behind him, Jessica was coughing as a result of Kinandon's assault.

"That Digimon…" Kappamon said. "I've seen pictures of it in murals in the Digital World. It's one of the 10 Legendary Warriors who sealed Lucemon away in the Digital World's ancient times. They've been gone for centuries. That you could get somehow obtain her data...much more fuse it with a dead woman…" Kappamon said in bewilderment.

They then heard evil laughter. Everyone looked behind them to see a humanoid figure clothed in a black purplish aura. It was Agent Salvation. Kinandon crawled over to Agent Salvation on his hands and knees. "Agent Salvation! Please! Katie's been resurrected, but….she's lost it!" He said. The dark figure laughed some more. Kinandon scowled. "What's so funny?" He said in an angry tone. The aura soon departed from the figure revealing Ophanimon Falldown Mode underneath. "Everything is going according to plan. Soon, the clash of goddesses will bring about ruin." Ophanimon Falldown Mode said.

Mario's Guilmon took a couple of steps forward. "What are you going on about?" Guilmon asked. Ophanimon FM looked down at the little red dinosaur Digimon and said "Anastasia VS. AncientMermaidmon, of course. Their battle will be bring destruction to this world. Then I'll use AncientMermaidmon to wreak havoc on other planets. The destruction of all life is near. You see, the reason gentle and kind Katie is rampaging like this is because a combination of extended oxygen deprivation to the brain due to her being, you know, dead, plus the fusion of two consciousnesses has basically driven her mad. She is in a tremendous amount of pain right now as Katie and AncientMermaidmon fight for control. Her head must be splitting with agony! And like I said, our dear Princess Anastasia, who has all of her cognitive faculties working, will have to take this rampaging Frankentsein down! They'll destroy the whole planet in the process!" Ophanimon Falldown Mode monologued. "Then I won't fight her." Jessica said. Ophanimon chuckled. "Well, that is your choice. But if you do nothing, AncientMermaidmon will destroy the planet unopposed. Either way, I win." Ophanimon FM replied. Ophanmon Falldown Mode then looked up at AncientMermaidmon, who was still paralyzed by Devidramon's attack. "When AncientMermaidmon is through wrecking this planet, I'll just simply transport her to every inhabited planet in this universe and repeat the process. AncientMermaidmon or Katie will rampage on every inhabited planet in the universe; Aqualia, Earth, Felinia, Devillis, Angellis, and many more! With no more living things, there can be no more evil! And without evil, the universe will be in harmony. I will bring salvation to all!" Ophanimon FM monologued.

"The universe will also be sterile and boring. You honestly think destroying everyone is bringing everyone salvation?" Zai said in a monotonous voice.

"I wouldn't expect tiny minds like yours to understand." Ophanmon Falldown Mode said.

Evander put his hands on the orange tinted goggles around his neck. He pulled them up over his head and let go, letting the goggles snap onto the top of his forehead. "Lady, you're insane. We will stop you." He said. Jessica looked over to Evander and smiled seeing the orange tinted goggles now strapped to his forehead instead of dangling around his neck. "That's much better. You can't be a Goggle HEAD if they're not on your head." She said.

Up above, the group of Darkdramon were losing the fight. The paralyzation from one of the Darkdramon's Terrible Gaze had worn off and AncientMermaidmon was attacking again. She raised her hand and called forth lightning from above. Several lightning bolts came down from up above and struck all of the Darkdramon. They cried out in pain before being reverted to DigiEggs. Everyone's attention turned to the AncientMermaidmon. She looked down and her eyes locked onto Jessica. She immediately flew down and came after her with her trident.

Jessica's digivice glew in her pocket. The words "WARP DIGIVOLUTION" came across the screen.

"Gabumon warp digivolve to…...MetalGarurumon!"

MetalGarurumon jumped in front of Jessica and took the hit for her. AncientMermaidmon's trident clanked up against MetalGarurumon's armor. MetalGarurumon wasn't hurt because his armor protected him from getting stabbed. "MetalGarurumon!" Jessica said in relief. "Don't worry, Jessica. I won't let anything happen to you." He said.

"AncientMermaidmon, you're going down!" Mario said. "Yeah!" Guilmon and Mario's Agumon said in unison. Ophanimon Falldown Mode levitated off the ground. "I don't think so. I won't let you break my tool." She said, getting in front of AncientMermaidmon. "If you want to fight AncientMermaidmon, you'll have to defeat me first."

The Digidestined all looked at each other knowingly. They all pulled out their Digivices.

"WARP DIGIVOLUTION" came across the screens of all of their digivices.

"Agumon warp digivolve to….WarGreymon!"

"Terriermon warp digivolve to….MegaGargomon!"

"Leormon warp digivolve to….SaberLeomon!"

"Pawnchessmon warp digivolve to…..KingChessmon!"

"Agumon warp digivolve to…..ShineGreymon!" (This is Mario's Agumon)

"BlackGatomon Warp Digivolve to...Lillithmon!"

"Palmon warp digivolve to…..Rosemon!"

"BIOMERGE DIGIVOLUTION"

"Ladybugmon biomerge to...MedievalGallantmon!"

"Guilmon biomerge to….Gallantmon!"

"Gatomon biomerge to….Ophanimon!"

All of the Digimon were now in their mega forms. "You should be ashamed to call yourself an Ophanimon." Flora's Ophanimon said. When she spoke, the sound of Flora and Gatomon could be heard speaking in unison.

All of the Mega Digimon came at Ophanimon Falldown Mode ready to fight her, except for MedievalGallantmon and MetalGarurumon. MidievalGallantmon looked back at Jessica and said. "Jessica, we won't be able to take on AncientMermaidmon and Ophanimon at the same time. I want you to use your powers to fight her." He said. Jessica shook her head. "No, I won't! I can't!" She objected. MetalGarurumon nuzzled her with his snout. "Don't worry, Jessica. I'm sure I'm more than enough to take care of her. I'll fight so you won't have to." He assured her.

WarGreymon flew at Ophanimon Falldown Mode and started clashing between her scythe and his Dramon Destroyers. Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! The sound of WarGreymon's Dramon Destroyers and her scythe clashed. Ophanimon then leaned on her scythe and roundhouse kicked WarGreymon down to the ground. Gallantmon was in front of her about to attack her. They also clashed several times between Gallantmon's lance and her scythe. Gallantmon jumped back and his shield began to glow. "Shield Of The Just!" Gallantmon shouted, the voice of Guilmon and Mario speaking in unison. A large blast of energy fired out of Gallantmon's shield and in Ophanimon FM's direction. She got hit with it and got knocked back, she crashed into a building behind her. Ophanimon FM had crashed into a child's bedroom. She broke the bed in half when she fell and hit her head on the wall. She was about to get up and retaliate. When she flew out of the child's bedroom, outside the hole she had made, MegaGargomon was waiting for her. "Gargo Missiles!" MegaGargomon shouted before firing the giant megaton class missiles from its shoulders. The missiles hit Ophanimon Falldown Mode and she cried out in pain. She flew through the wall again and landed outside of the house on the other side. Ophanimon then flew up above Ophanimon Falldown Mode who was lying flat on her back. "Sephirot Crystals!" She shouted. She formed ten crystals between her hands in sephirot formation and fired them. The fallen Ophanimon bellow was hit with every crystal. Ophanimon Falldown Mode got up, flew up into the air quickly and swung her scythe at the unfallen biomerged Ophanimon. Ophanimon flew back avoiding several swings of the scythe.

Ophanimon Falldown's scythe then had flames surrounding it. "Flame Hellscythe!" She swung her scythe and an inferno of fire came out of it. The flames enveloped Ophanimon and she screamed in pain. Gallantmon then flew up and tried to strike her with his lance. "No one attacks my wife and gets away with it!" He said. "Lightning Joust!" Gallantmon fired lightning out of his joust towards Ophanimon Falldown Mode. She flew to the left to dodge. "Demon Crystal!" Ophanimon Falldown Mode shouted. She created a bunch of red crystals in mid-air in the shape of a pentagram. The crystals then fired like bullets in Ophanimon's and Gallantmon's direction. Gallantmon got in front of Ophanimon and held his shield up. The red crystals all struck Gallantmon's shield. Ophanimon and Gallantmon were unharmed. "Demon Crystal!" She attacked again. Again, Gallantmon again protected his wife with his shield. While Ophanimon Falldown Mode was busy attacking them, Lillithmon had come up from behind them. "I want to have some fun!" She said, grinning psychotically. Ophanimon FM quickly turned around, afraid of the sneak attack and trying to prepare for it. But there was no time, Lillithmon had put her hand on Ophanimon Falldown Mode's stomach. Lillithmon's left hand had long purple finger nails. Her right hand was in a golden metallic glove. Lillithmon looked up at Ophanimon FM and gave a psychotic looking smile. She said "Phantom Pain!" This was the name of her attack. The metal covering Ophanimon FM's abdomen started rusting rapidly, like time lapse photography. "What's happening?" Ophanimon FM asked. "This attack of mine causes the opponent's body to rot with the powers of darkness. I increase the entropy around the area I touch. Your armor will rust and rot, and you'll age rapidly. And you'll suffer even in death." Lillithmon said. She then grinned more widely. "It's a slow and painful death! Isn't that exciting!?" She said. Zai sighed. "Syn, that's kind of messed up." She said, looking up at her Mega level Digimon. Zai then gasped. "Syn! Look out!" She cried out. Lillithmon was then slashed in the back! It was KnightMermaidmon. "I won't let you get in the way of my revenge." She said. Syn/Lillithmon had let go of the fallen Ophanimon. As a result, the rotting process stopped. "Damn it! My Phantom Pain attack can only work if I'm making physical contact with my opponent." Syn said in frustration.

KnightMermaidmon looked over to Ophanmon Falldown Mode. "Master. I'm back. Let me prove my loyalty to you...and my love for Posi." She said. KnightMermaidmon then began exchanging blows with Syn the Lillithmon. KnightMermaidmon slashed at her with her sword multiple times. Each swipe was countered by Lillithmon's fingernails. She had extended them to the length of small daggers at will. "Oh my! Oh my! This is titilating! You seem like a tough opponent!" Syn said while blocking each sword strike with her nails. "You might actually give me a hard time! This will make standing over your bloody corpse all the more satisfying!" Syn the Lillithmon continued.

Syn was a bit of psychopath when she digivolved from BlackGatomon into LadyDevimon or Lillithmon, but she wasn't evil. She never attacked any of her comrads or her tamer. She fought for good out of her own free will, but the virus attribute in her gave her "A sort of messed up demeanor." To use Zai's words. All Digimon had free will, and even species that were normally considered evil could choose between moral options. Another Lillithmon was a member of the 7 demon lords and represented the sin of lust (all 7 of them represent one of the 7 deadly sins). That Lillithmon IS evil, but Syn was different. Some Digimon inclined them towards certain good or evil dispositions, but didn't determine them. Syn had a bit of a bloodlust as LadyDevimon and Lillithmon, but she satisfied it by taking out the bad guys. Syn the Lillithmon continued to clash weapons with KnightMermaidmon. She grinned and began laughing. "Hahahaha! I can't find an opening! How fun!" She said. The KnightMermaidmon jumped back a little. They were both now on the ground. "You're enjoying this?" She asked. "Very much!" Syn answered before lunging at her. "Razor Nails! Razor Nails! Razor Nails! Razor Nails!" Lillithmon attacked repeatedly. The nails of Syn (or Lillithmon) were covered in a black aura. When they struck KnightMermaidmon's sword and shield, they became corroded. They became a little corroded with the first strike, and became increasingly corroded with each following strike. She was attacking using only her right hand covered in the golden metallic glove. Lillithmon had a psychotic grin on her face while she attacked. "What is this? What's going on? KnightMermaidmon asked. "It's my Razor Nails attack! Using the mystic glove on my right hand, I channel my bloodlust. Everything this claw touches erodes." Lillithmon explained. "Razor Nails!" She attacked again. KnightMermaidmon's sword was now extremely rusty as was her shield. Lillithmon's attacks had been so relentless that KnightMermaidmon hadn't had a chance to retaliate. KnightMermaidmon held up her shield. "Shield Of Atlantis!" She shouted. But nothing happened. Instead, her shield crumbled in her hands. Lillithmon jumped at KnightMermaidmon and grabbed her by the neck. She pinned her to the ground. When KnightMermaidmon had fallen to the ground, her helmet had come off, revealing a blonde woman's face underneath, the same face she has when she's AK-Mermaidmon. Lillithmon raised her metallic claw poised to deal the finishing blow. "Phantom Pain!" She cried out.

Before Lillithmon could deal the finishing blow, KnightMermaidmon's body glew everywhere. "Mermaid Apocalypse!" Energy blasted out of her body and knocked Syn/Lillithmon back. KnightMermaidmon got up and started chanting something in what sounded like Digi-Code. Soon, a new sword and shield had manifested themselves in her hand. Lillithmon looked stunned. "I-Impossible!" She exclaimed. KnightMermaidmon explained "That was a spell passed down from my ancestors. It ensures that I can replace my weapon by gathering metallic particles in the air."

"Shield Of Atlantis!" KnightMermaidmon attacked. Lillithmon got hit with the attack and was sent back. She crashed through a couple of buildings and ended up on the beach nearby. She groaned in pain as she sat up. But she grinned as though she liked it. "Oh, Zai! I'm having so much fun! Thank you for bringing me!" She said.

Elsewhere in the city, Gallantmon and Ophanimon were each fighting Ophanimon Falldown Mode. "Eden's Javelin!" Ophanimon attacked. She swung the javelin in her hand and a beam of energy fired out of it. "Lightning Joust!" Gallantmon attacked. Gallantmon was behind Ophanimon Falldown and Ophanimon was in front of her. Ophanimon Falldown Mode caused fire to consume her scythe. She swung around protecting herself from both attacks in a wall of fire that covered her from all over. "My! My! You're both rather str-" Ophanimon FM began before finding herself punched in the face by MegaGargomon. MegaGargomon had punched Ophanimon FM so hard that the metal mask covering her face cracked a little bit, revealing her face from the nose below. "Looks like I need backup." Ophanimon Falldown Mode said. She took out a device and used it to open up several portals from which many Digimon came through. Hundreds of Parrotmons, Devidramons, Darkdramons, Bakemons, Knightmons, Depthmons, Dragomons, and other Digimon came through the portals. "Try fighting my army!" Ophanimon Falldown Mode said.

WarGreymon took a step forward and looked at the army of Digimon approaching them. "We won't give up no matter what!" WarGreymon said. "Terra Force! Terra Force! Terra Force! Terra Force!" WarGreymon repeatedly created a huge ball of energy above his head and tossed it at the opposing Digimon. A few Parrotmon got hit and took major damage. One of them flew up to WarGreymon and started attacking with its claws. WarGreymon parried with its Dramon destroyers. Then WarGreymon spun around rapidly "Grey Tornado!" He tore through the Parrotmon like a drill and caused it to revert back into a DigiEgg. He then looked at the other two Parrotmon he had just attacked. One of them had electricity sparks crackling on its head. "Our turn. Sonic Destroyer!" WarGreymon jumped to the left to avoid the attack. The other Parrotmon also had electricity crackling on its head. "Sonic Destroyer! Sonic Destroyer! Sonic Destroyer! Sonic Destroyer!" WarGreymon evaded every attack. "Terra Force!" WarGreymon attacked. One of the Parrotmons got hit, took even more damage, and was reverted back to a DigiEgg. He then flew over to the third Parrotmon and impaled it with one its Dramon Destroyers while calling out "Mega Claw!"

Meanwhile…

MetalGarurumon was fighting AncientMermaidmon by himself. The other Digimon fighting Ophanimon Falldown Mode had managed to gradually move the fight farther and farther into the city and away from Jessica, MetalGarurumon, and Kinandon. "Garuru Tomahawk!" MetalGarurumon attacked, doing a backflip and releasing a missile from the center of his chest. The AncientMermaidmon swung at it with her trident. When she did so, the missile exploded and AncientMermaidmon was pushed back in the air a little. She grunted. She then pointed her trident at MetalGarurumon and sent crystalized liquids at him at high speed like a machine gun. MetalGarurumon propelled himself through the air using the jets on his yellow wings. He managed to do a good job avoiding the bullet like crystals for a few minutes. He ran off to the side and AncientMermaidmon turned her trident in MetalGarurumon's direction as he ran. She stopped firing for a second, and MetalGaurumon stopped running/flying in the air for a moment. "Ice Wolf Claw!" He attacked, sending a plethora of missiles at the AncientMermaidmon. AncientMermaidmon dodged each missile. "She dodged it. Well, let's see if she can dodge all of these!" MetalGarurumon said before opening his on-body missile openings again. "Ice Wolf Claw! Ice Wolf Claw! Ice Wolf Claw! Ice Wolf Claw!" AncientMermaidmon dodged every single one of his attacks, not be jumping off to the side, but by teleporting! MetalGaurumon looked astonished. "What!? That's impossible!" He said. "Crystal Billows!" AncientMermaidmon cried out. MetalGarurumon flew up to avoid the attack. MetalGarurumon's plan was to turn towards AncientMermaidmon and fire another attack. But as soon as he dodged the Crystal Billows, AncientMermaidmon appeared mere inches from his face. She had teleported! "Crystal Billows!" She screamed. The plethora of crystalized liquid shards hit MetalGarurumon - every single one! "Auuugggh!" MetalGarurumon cried out.

Jessica, who was watching the battle from below, cried out "MetalGarurumon, no!" One of MetalGaurumon's yellow jet wings had been damaged, making him unable to keep flying. MetalGarurumon crashed down to the ground about 20 feet away from Jessica and Kinandon. Jessica ran over to MetalGarurumon and put her hand on him. "MetalGarurumon! Are you ok?" She asked. MetalGarurumon groaned and slowly stood up. "Yeah. Don't worry...Jessica. I'll protect your home. There's no need for you to fight." MetalGarurumon said. He stood up and looked up towards AncientMermaidmon. AncientMermaidmon was flying down towards them. "Good. She's coming this way. With my wing damaged, I can't continue to fly." MetalGarurumon said.

The AncientMermaidmon then flew down and swung at the MetalGarurumon. He jumped back dodging the attacks. "Metal Wolf Snout!" MetalGarurumon shouted before firing lasers out of his snout. AncientMermaidmon screamed, causing a bolt of lightning to come down from the sky intercepting the attack. AncientMermaidmon screamed again and caused another bolt of lightning to come down on top of MetalGarurumon! He shouted in pain as the bolt of lightning fried him. "MetalGarurumon, No!" Jessica shouted. MetalGarurumon stood up slowly, struggling, groaning in pain. Jessica let out a sympathetic moan. "Ice Wolf Breath!" MetalGaurumon shouted before sending out a stream of freezing mist out of his mouth. The mist covered AncientMermaidmon and froze her. "You did it!" Jessica said. They stared at the frozen mermaid Digimon for a few minutes. Soon, the ice began to crack and AncientMermaidmon broke free, screaming. "IT HURTS!!!!!" She screamed. "Great Maelstrom!" AncientMermaidmon shouted. She swung her trident above her head and created a maelstrom that covered everything in water. MetalGarurumon got caught up in the attack. When the attack subsided, MetalGarurumon was lying on the ground coughing up water. "Crystal Billows!" AncientMermaidmon attacked. MetalGarurumon got hit again! He groaned and struggled to stand up. The metallic armor covering his body was crackling and sparking. There were many dents in it.

Jessica watched in sympathy as her Digimon struggled to get up. He had taken major hits. She wasn't sure how much more he could take. As Jessica watched her Digimon struggle, her eyes were off of Kinandon. Kinandon was initially enraptured in the battle, but now he had decided to use it as a distraction. He grabbed Jessica from behind and pinned her to the ground. Jessica screamed. "Let me go!" Kinandon looked down at Jessica with disgust. "You evil coldhearted bitch. After I'm done with you, I'll go after that backstabbing 'Agent Salvation'. Bring about an end to all life on my planet? Not while I'm king." He said. "If you don't get off of me, I'll kill you!" Jessica threatened. Kinandon laughed. "You think because you're a Poseidon that I should be worried? Oh yeah, you aren't aware of MY newfound powers." Kinandon said. Jessica began to glow gold. She screamed, pushing up against Kinandon with all her might. Kinandon glowed in a silver aura. "What?" Jessica couldn't believe it. She was sure she had just activated her Poseidonic mode. Kinandon put his hands around Jessica's throat and began choking her. "Our ancestors fought a great war a long time ago which devastated this planet. They fought for who would be king of Aqualia. After Sebastian had defeated my ancestor, he manipulated our genetic code to seal our power away, so we could never rise up and rightfully take what is ours. Luckily, the power of Poseidon skips a generation, and your mother was unable to fight back. But now….I've managed to fix my genetic code! I have all the powers of my great great great grandfather! Don't think your special, Red!" Poseidon monologued. Jessica was struggling to get free. Her eyes averted over to her Digimon, hoping he would come to help. But he was too busy fighting against AncientMermaidmon. The two Digimon clashed while Kinandon held Jessica to the sandy beach. "I'm not afraid of you anymore. I've got god powers of my own!" He said, grinning sadistically as Jessica gasped for air. "MetalGarurumon! Help me! Please!" Jessica thought. She could feel herself losing consciousness. MetalGarurumon looked over to Jessica momentarily. "Jessica!" He shouted. He wanted to help, but AncientMermaidmon's attacks gave him no opportunity. He had to keep fighting to defend himself.

As Jessica's eyes began to shut, she had a flashback of Evander and her having dinner one night talking about having a kid. Evander said "Biologically incompatible? I suppose. But you seem human enough to where we'd be compatible." He then flashed a big grin "Like a horse and donkey when they come together to make a mule!" Evander fiddled the fork around his plate of spaghetti. "I mean, you have a placenta, and the other lady parts necessary." He said. "I look human, sure. But we may be genetically different enough to be incompatible. Besides….maybe that's not it. What if I'm just sterile?" Jessica asked. Evander was silent. The flashback ended. "No….I'm not giving up!" Jessica thought to herself as her vision got blurrier and blurrier. Suddenly, the aura surrounding her surged like crazy. Jessica pushed Kinandon with an open palm and sent him flying 100 meters backwards, causing him to land into the sea. Jessica turned over and coughed.

"Jessica! I'm sorry!" MetalGarurumon said, relieved. MetalGaurumon was so focused on how happy he was that Jessica defended herself without his help that he had forgotten he was in the middle of a battle! AncientMermaidmon swung her trident. As a result, a stream of water came up out of the sea and hit MetalGarurumon with extremely high pressure. AncientMermaidmon then raised her trident and let out another primal scream, she caused lightning to rain down on MetalGarurumon one more time. "MetalGarurumon!" Jessica cried out. When the lightning engulfing MetalGarurumon subsided, MetalGarurumon stood there motionless for a moment before collapsing to the ground. MetalGarurumon layed on the ground, motionless. "MetalGarurumon! Please answer me!" Jessica stopped glowing. She ran over to MetalGarurumon and threw herself over his body. "MetalGarurumon! MetalGarurumon! MetalGarurumooooon!" She cried out, worried about her Digimon. She was trying to shake him awake. MetalGarurumon briefly regained consciousness. He let out a few coughs before looking over at Jessica sprawled out over his body. "Jessica…..I need…..WarGreymon…." He said weakly. Jessica was pleasantly surprised to get a response out of her Digimon. She looked him in the eye and nodded. "I understand." Jessica whipped out her Digivice and used it to call Evander.

Back in the nearby city…

KnightMermaidmon was firing beams of energy out of her sword rapidly at Lillithmon. She got hit with several of the beams and grunted in pain. Zai was standing nearby. "Don't give up, Syn!" Zai said. Lillithmon crouched down, panting out of breath. "My my! You got serious!" Syn the Lillithmon said.

WarGreymon was taking on a large group of Knightmon. "Terra Force! Terra Force! Terra Force! Terra Force!" WarGreymon attacked consecutively. He deleted several of them. Nearby, MegaGargomon was punching and kicking a Dragomon. Then he unleashed his "Mega Barrage!" attack, reverting the Dragomon back to a DigiEgg. Another Dragomon came up from behind and hit MegaGargomon with a "Tentacle Flapping!" attack. MegaGargomon fell down to the ground. Quickly brushing himself off, he said to himself "There's just so many of them!"

The Digidestined's Digimon were in an all out Digi-Melee all over the city! Gallantmon and Ophanimon continued to clash with Ophanimon Falldown Mode, Flora's Rosemon was nearby unleashing a Forbidden Temptation attack on some Devidramon, deleting them. They were giving it their all, but they were woefully outnumbered. The Digidestined's Digimon took as much damage, it seemed, as they dished out. They were becoming beaten, battered, and exhausted.

MedievalGallantmon floated in the sky looking at the relatively few Digimon they had going up against Ophanimon Falldown Mode's army. "This isn't good. We need our own army if we're to make a dent in this sea of Digimon." Evander said. Evander then got a call on his Digivice. He answered it, still in the form of MedievalGallantmon. "Jessica, what is it?" He said, Evander's and Ladybugmon's voices speaking in unison. "Evander, we need Omnimon!" Jessica shouted. "Understood." He said.

"Ladybugmon, will you be ok fighting here as Tankbugmon?" Evander asked.

"Yes. You go to Jessica. I'll manage." Ladybugmon responded.

MidievalGallantmon floated down to the ground. The biomerge between Evander and his Digimon broke, and the MedievalGallantmon briefly glowed before splitting into Evander and Tankbugmon.

Back at the beach, AncientMermaid stood over Jessica and MetalGarurumon. AncientMermaidmon grabbed her head and continued to writhe in pain. "It hurts! Kinandon!" AncientMermaidmon screamed. Jessica got a surprised expression on her face. "She spoke!" Jessica said. The AncientMermaidmon pointed her trident at Jessica. "Jessica, they won't get here in time! Run!" MetalGarurumon said. "No! I'm not leaving you!" She said, looking down at the battered Digimon. Just as AncientMermaidmon was about to strike, a small fireball hit her in the back and voice cried out "Grey Fire!" Jessica and MetalGarurumon looked over to see Evander and WarGreymon. Evander had ridden over on WarGreymon's shoulder. Evander hopped down and ran over to his wife. "Honey, are you ok?" Evander asked. "Yes." She replied. MetalGarurumon finally managed to get up. He looked over at WarGreymon and said "It took you long enough to get here, old friend." He said.

WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon got beside each other. Evander and Jessica both gave each other a knowing nod. They both jumped back and aimed their digivices at each other. Evander and Jessica were standing about 10 feet away from each other, and they were pointing their digivices in the other's direction. On their Digivices, the words "DNA DIGIVOLUTION" came across the screens against a black background. Bluish white light beams shot out of their digivices in each others direction. The beams of light collided. When they did, they split to form two other light beams that hit WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. Upon being hit with the bluish white beams of white, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon both formed bluish white glows.

"DNA Digivolve to….Omnimon!"

The two Digimon had become one; a humanoid Digimon standing in pure white armor, dawning a white cape with a blue interior. The Digimon was wearing a white helmet with blue zig zags on each side, likely representing Garurumon. The Digimon had aqua blue eyes. On its arms were helmets looking exactly like WarGreymon's and MetalGarurumon's heads. "Omnimon! Do it!" Evander and Jessica shouted in unison. Omnimon nodded. AncientMermaidmon charged towards Omnimon. Omnimon swung its WarGreymon arm and a sword popped out of the WarGreymon head. Omnimon shouted "Grey Sword!" before clashing sword and trident with AncientMermaidmon. Omnimon jumped back a bit and pointed the MetalGarurumon head in AncientMermaidmon's direction; "Garuru Cannon!" He fired a beam of ice out of the cannon. AncientMermaidmon got hit and got pushed back. "Don't let up, Omnimon!" Jessica cheered on. "Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon!" Omnimon attacked repeatedly.

AncientMermaidmon got hit with every attack. The attack had resulted in her being frozen in a big block of ice. Omnimon took his Grey Sword back out and charged towards. "Frozen Fish! My favorite!" Omnimon said before striking AncientMermaidmon with the sword. The sword crushed through the ice and impaled AncientMermaidmon. "It's over." He said. Suddenly, the AncientMermaidmon vanished into thin air! Omnimon looked shocked. "What!?" He exclaimed. The mermaid Digimon appeared around him. She spun her trident around and unleashed a blast of high pressured water at Omnimon. He spun around and put his arms up trying to block the attack, but he was being pushed back, his feet making grooves in the sand. "It must have teleported like last time. That was an after image clone!" Omnimon said to himself. The AncientMermaidmon then raised her hand and when she brought it down a bolt of lightning came down on Omnimon. Omnimon cried out in pain.

Omnimon stood up, trembling from having a large amount of electricity flowing through its body. Omnimon flew over towards AncientMermaidmon "Grey Sword!" AncientMermaidmon blocked with her trident. AncientMermaidmon then teleported again about 20 feet behind Omnimon. She let out yet another primal scream. This time, a large group of Dragomon emerged from the sea. There had to be 50 of them. "Dragomon?" Evander said. "Did they respond to her call?" Jessica observed. The Dragomon looked at Omnimon and said "We must serve Queen Neptune; goddess of all the sea." They then started attacking Omnimon. Omnimon flew up into the air and began targeting each Dragomon one by one "Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon! Garuru Cannon!" He attacked. He managed to instantly delete several of them. AncientMermaidmon then appeared from behind Omnimon, having teleported. She smacked him down into the water below with her mermaid tail. The remaining 45 Dragomon all ganged up on Omnimon. "Tentacle Flapping! Tentacle Flapping! Tentacle Flapping!" They attacked. One of the Dragomon hit Omnimon repeatedly with its trident. The trident came down on Omnimon hard. Omnimon grunted in pain. Omnimon struggled against the horde of Dragomon surrounding it on all sides. "You're messing with a former member of the Royal Knights! I'm no weakling!" Omnimon said. He managed to get his cannon up underneath one. The cannon was pointing behind Omnimon. He fired it, deleting the Dragomon. This allowed Omnimon just enough wiggle room to get his WarGreymon arm freed, which was previously being held down by some Dragomon standing on it. "Grey Sword!" He swung the sword and deleted several Dragomon. He flew back up and pointed his canons down at the Dragomon below.

"Double Shot!" Omnimon shouted. This attack caused streams of reddish yellow fire to be unleashed from the WarGreymon head on its left arm and streams of ice to be unleashed from the MetalGarurumon head on its right. Several more Dragomon were reverted back into DigiEggs.

"Double Shot! Double Shot! Double Shot!" Omnimon attacked repeatedly. This time, about 10 Dragomon went down. One of the Dragomon reared up and threw its trident in Omnimon's direction. "Forbidden Trident!" The Dragmon cried out. Omnimon deflected it with his Grey Sword. He pointed his cannon down at the Dragomon who threw it. "Garuru Cannon!" A blast of ice came out and reverted that Dragomon back to a Digi-Egg.

There were about 20-something Dragomon left. The AncientMermaidmon appeared behind Omnimon again and knocked him down with her trident. Omnimon fell back into the shallow ocean water with the Dragomon. However, this time, as Omnimon was falling he began spinning around rapidly with his Grey Sword extended. "Kyaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!" Omnimon shouted. He was able to take out several Dragomon. Omnimon chuckled. "A spin attack! Who says video games don't teach you anything?" Omnimon said. There were still some Dragomon left who came at Omnimon. Omnimon raised his sword high into the air. "Omni Blast!" Lightning came down and incinerated the rest of the Dragomon. With no more Dragomon left, Omnimon turned his attention to AncientMermaidmon. "You're not the only one who can summon lightning." Omnimon said while looking at her.

Evander and Jessica were cheering Omnimon from the side. So they didn't notice that Kinandon, who Jessica had flung into the sea earlier, had made his way back to shore. "Damn you!" Kinandon shouted.

Evander and Jessica turned to see an angry Kinandon standing there on the beach. But what surprised them was seeing that he had a mermaid tail and was levitating in mid-air. "You murderer! I will end you!" Kinandon shouted as he went higher and higher into the air. Kinandon manifested a trident in his hand. He dove towards Jessica "I'll run you through!" He shouted. He came down towards her with such speed that she didn't think she could dodge. She closed her eyes and clung to Evander. Clank! Jessica opened her eyes to see what had happened. Omnimon had gotten front of Kinandon and was blocking his trident with his Grey Sword. "Omnimon!" Jessica cried out. "Change of plans, Jessica. I wanted to fight so you wouldn't have to. But…I won't be able to fight both of them at once. You have to use your powers." Omnimon said. Jessica looked at Omnimon distressed, shaking her head. Omnimon looked back at her and nodded. "I believe in you." He said. Evander grabbed Jessica's hands and looked her in the eyes. "I believe in you too." He said. Omnimon's WarGreymon arm was trembling as he tried to hold the trident back. Omnimon looked forward in Kinandon's direction. "He's so strong!" He said before looking back into Jessica's eyes. "Like I told you that night….you have a heart of gold. Someone like you can only save lives, not destroy them." Jessica shook her head again. "Don't you trust me? …...Jessica?" Omnimon said, continuing to look back at her.

As Omnimon was talking with her, Kinandon bore down harder on the Grey Sword with his trident. The Grey Sword started to crack a little and Omnimon's arm trembled even more violently under the muscle strain. Jessica looked worried. This was the moment she feared; the moment in which she'd have to use her powers to win this war. Omnimon asked again "Don't you trust me, Jessica?" Jessica looked stunned. She could have sworn she heard Gabumon's voice instead of the blend of WarGreymon and MetalGaurumon. Jessica's expression turned determined. She clenched her fist. "Of course I trust you, Omnimon!" She responded. She began glowing in that golden aura. She quickly took her pants off so she could manifest her mermaid tail, which she did in a matter of seconds. She then took her shirt off, revealing clam shell breast coverings. She manifested a trident in her hand. But this time, she also managed to manifest a dark green breast plate over her breasts and dark green shoulder armor over her shoulders. Jessica flew over Omnimon's head and landed behind Kinandon. "Over here!" She said, about to strike Kinandon. Kinandon turned around and their tridents clashed!

Omnimon jumped away. "That's my girl." Omnimon said under his breath.

Jessica and Kinandon parried each others' weapons. Jessica used a free hand to manifest water in thin air. The water took the shape of a spear, but then it froze into solid ice. She grabbed it as it floated in mid-air and was going to use it to stab Kinandon in the neck. Kinandon flew back several feet to evade. Jessica then flew towards Kinandon like a bullet! She flew so fast that she literally broke the sound barrier, leaving a sonic boom to astonish Evander and Omnimon nearby! When Jessica tackled him, she went about 500 yards off the coast. She grabbed his face and pushed him down into the ocean water. "Let's fight in the sea like real sea gods!" Jessica said. Jessica swung the trident at Kinandon and he parried it again. "You're a goddess of death," Kinandon said as their weapons clashed. Jessica perked up. She remembered her nightmare. The mermaid and merman skeletons in her dream called her that. In her moment of self doubt, she was distracted. Kinandon raised his hand and sent a surge of water at her, knocking her back. He then teleported above her and tried to run his trident into her exposed abdomen! Jessica's eyes widened with shock and a thick sheet of ice covered her exposed midriff protecting her! The Trident hit the thick ice and clanged against it. "Sorry, I can't let you do that." She said.
