Chapter 1: Jessica Glovion! Wanted Woman!

On planet Earth, in the city of Tokyo Japan, a man in a brown trench coat stood hunched over with his hands on his knees breathing heavily. He was clearly out of breath. He had short brown hair and a black beard. He was wearing orange tinted swimming goggles around his neck like a necklace. Under the trench coat, he sported a blue T-shirt. His pants were black jeans. He was wearing brown shoes. In front of him was a man in a black beanie, a leather jacket, light grey pants, and blue tennis shoes. The latter man clinged to the back of a chain link fence that stood between the two walls of an alleyway. "You're….not…..going….anywhere." The trench coat wearing man said, trying to catch his breath. The man then stood upright, reached into his pocket and flashed a badge in his billfold. "I'm Detective Evander Glovion of the Kuremi Detective Agency. I'm taking you in." The man in the beanie said "For what!? I didn't do nothin'!" Evander responded "Oh please. Your history of domestic violence against the victim was more than enough for me to get a warrant to search your house and phone. I infected your phone with malware and spyware. I know you collaborated with your buddy Hiroshi Nishijima in the murder of your ex wife. I have all the text messages between you two saved on my hard drive. You told Hiroshi that you could never forgive Yumi for dumping your sorry ass, to which Hiroshi responded 'That witch needs to pay'. You told her and I quote 'I will kill her with my own bare hands if you'll help me hide the body.' Not only do I have these texts, but I searched your house, found a pair of blood stained gloves, and checked your computer to find out where you'd try to flee to. You booked a flight to Russia to lie low for a while." Evander then put his billfold back in one of his trench coat's pockets.

The man in the beanie fell on his butt and started trembling all over "You….you have my text messages!?" He asked in fear. "You heard me. The judge will love it when I go to testify. Oh yes, I have ALL the juicy evidence for your guilt, you murderous bastard." Evander responded. "I'm not goin' to prison!" He shouted as he turned around and tried to climb the chain link fence. "Hey! Oh no you don't!" A woman's voice shouted as she entered the alley. The woman had shoulder length brown hair and was wearing a typical Japanese policewoman uniform. She found an empty beer bottle lying next to her on the ground. She picked it up and hurled it at the suspect. He got conked on the head. It didn't knock him unconscious, but it did startle him enough to cause him to lose his grip on the chain link fence and come tumbling down back to where he started. "Makiko Date. Glad you could make it." Evander said to the policewoman. "Don't patronize me, or I'll arrest you too!" she said. Makiko grabbed the shirt of the beanie wearing suspect and pulled him up to his feet. She handcuffed him. "Thanks, Evander. We knew this guy was guilty as sin, but without your hacking skills, we wouldn't have the evidence sufficient to convict him." Makiko said. "Well, if I hadn't gotten the warrant, it would have been unlawful of me to go through his stuff." Evander said. "I'm thankful to Kyoko for pulling some strings and making the warrant process go much faster."

Officer Date proceeded to put the beanie wearing criminal into her patrol car. She closed the door and turned to Evander. It was getting late. The sun was setting. "I'm so thankful this day is over. I'm exhausted." Evander said, sticking his hands in the pockets of his trench coat. "Yeah. We chased this guy all over the city!" Officer Date replied. "We? I'm the one who did all the running. You just followed behind in your patrol car. You got the easy part." Evander said. Evander looked over to the suspect in the back of Makiko Date's patrol car. "I can't wait to get home. I wonder what my wife is cooking." Evander said. "Hopefully it's fish. You need brain food to keep your intellect sharp, detective." Date said. "Nah, Jessica doesn't eat fish." Evander said. "Oh yeah, that's right. Is she vegan?" Date asked. "No, it's not that. It's probably because she-" Evander cut himself off realizing that he almost revealed something that was meant to be kept secret. "Because she what?" Date probed. Evander let out a big grin and rubbed the back of his head. "It's nothing. Have a nice night, officer." Evander then began to walk off. Date pointed towards Evander and hollered "Hey! What were you about to say? Get back and tell me or I'll arrest you!"

Evander slowly crept into Nakano Broadway. Nakano Broadway is a shopping mall in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan. It's also where the Kyoko Detective Agency is located. Evander always thought it was odd that a detective agency would be in a shopping mall of all places, but given his situation at the time he first visited, it was only a passing thought. Evander walked past the Fortune Telling booth and came to a big black door. He opened it and walked in. "Well, how did the case go, my young Watson?" asked a woman sitting at a desk near the window. She was an attractive blonde woman with an open white buttoned shirt, and black hot pants. Pink sunglasses sat on top of her head, and her hair went down to the back of her legs. It was Kyoko Kuremi; the head detective who ran The Kuremi Detective Agency. "Exhausting, but we got him." Evander said. He walked over to the board where his cases are usually pinned up. He reached over on Kyoko's desk and got a stamp. He hit the piece of paper that was held up by a red pin. The most important cases were always pinned with red. Least important cases were held up with green pins, and for those more serious, but not pressing, were held up with yellow pins. With the stamp, Evander pressed the sheet of paper leaving the words "SOLVED" in big red capital letters. Kyoko chuckled. "You've been my assistant for two years now and I've not once heard you say that. Perhaps you could use a cup of coffee?" Evander's blood ran cold when Kyoko suggested coffee. She always tried experimenting with different ingredients in the coffee and the final product usually ended up being a total abomination. "I'll pass. It's late. If I drink coffee now, I'll be up all night." Evander said nervously, smiling with his eyes closed and rubbing the back of his head.

As Evander was walking home, it dawned on him; this is not the Kyoko Kuremi he's always worked with. The Kyoko he worked with who was infamous for her horrible tasting coffee was actually an Alphamon in disguise. The Kyoko he was currently working for was a former patient at Kamishiro Hospital, suffering from Eden Syndrome. Eden Syndrome is a disease caused in the brain of a person while logged into a virtual reality network called Eden. It always happened when a digital monster called an Eater attacked and devoured their mental data. Alphamon, a member of the Royal Knights in the world of the Digimon, took over Kyoko's body while she was out cold in order to investigate the Eater phenomenon that was afflicting The Digimon World just as much as the human world. After a digital shift had occurred (i.e the digital and human worlds became one and the same), Evander and the rest of the digidestined traveled to the Digital World to defeat The Mother Eater; the one controlling all of the little Eaters. This caused the digital world to reboot back to a time before the eaters first appeared in The Digital World. And since The Digital World's spatial fabric was intertwined with the human world, it caused the timeline of the human world to reset too. Now, no one remembered anything of Eden Syndrome, the Digimon, or even Eden itself. The only ones who retained their memory of that timeline were the Digidestined, hackers like Arata, Nokia, and Yuuko, and their Digimon. The Digimon were left behind in The Digital World. It was a mystery to him why they didn't forget as well. Evander's mind was thinking about all that he had gone through. He thought about his Digimon partners Ladybugmon, Terriermon, and Agumon. He missed them. Solving cases was a lot more fun when the perpetrator was either a Digimon or someone exploiting a Digimon, and he solved all of his cases with his Digimon by his side. He had just reunited with them after 12 long years of being apart from them. They had left his side to go back to the Digital World when he was 16 in the year 2008 and he hadn't seen them up until the mess with The Eaters, Kamishiro Enterprises, and The Royal Knights in the summer of 2021. And then after a month of being with them, they left again. "I need to stop reminiscing about the past. This world knows nothing of Digimon anymore, except as a game for children. That's just the way things are now." Evander said to himself.

Suddenly, Evander found himself at the door of his apartment building. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realize he had come back. "Man, I need to get myself a license. I should have gotten an IDP before Jessica and I moved here, but...it is what it is. It's too late now. The website said International Driver's Permits can only be obtained in your home country" Evander said to himself. He walked up the stairs and entered his apartment building. "Honey, I'm home." Evander said. Evander's apartment was a decent sized apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a laundry room, and a kitchen. The living room was pretty spacious. Jessica got paid well as an employee of Kamishiro Enterprises. Jessica Glovion was in the kitchen cooking up a steak and french fries. Jessica had long orange hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing a long sleeved shirt that was navy blue in the sleeves area and a lighter shade of blue in the torso area. She was wearing dark green pants, and had a pearl necklace on. On her left hand she wore her wedding ring. "How'd it go?" Jessica asked. Evander sat at the kitchen table and held his face in his palm. "Exhausting. I mean, the easy part was hacking into the guy's phone and getting his texts, and searching his apartment for clues. But once we found him, we chased him all over the city!" Evander explained. "Don't get me wrong. I'm glad you're slow in the bedroom, but you need to be fast when pursuing suspects." Jessica said. "Maybe you ought to work out more, flabby." Jessica said in a teasing tone, looking back at him and grinning. "You forget that I ran a lot when I was investigating in Eden." Evander said. "That doesn't count. That was some weird cyber/physical hybrid thing. Your real body was comatose at Kamishiro Hospital for a month, remember?" Jessica said, looking down at the meat she was cooking. Evander said "Oh yeah. I guess that's no more exercise than running around in a video game."

Jessica suddenly caught a whiff of something foul. "What is that stench?" She asked, clamping her nose shut with her index finger and thumb. Evander realized it was probably him, given how much he had sweated that day chasing a murder suspect around the city. "I'll go take a shower." He said. "Don't take too long. Dinner's almost ready." Jessica said. "Hey, I haven't taken a long shower ever since I married you." Evander joked. Jessica giggled at the innuendo. "You're awful!" Evander got up and went into the bathroom.

Later that night, after Evander and Jessica had eaten their meal, they went to bed. Evander was lying awake looking up at the ceiling while Jessica was fast asleep next to him. He remembered the times that he and his Digimon had in the Digital World. He remembered how ditzy Ladybugmon could be at times, like asking Jijimon for cookies and milk while he explained the crisis that afflicted the Digital World back when Evander and Jessica were just tweens. He remembered how Agumon was always hungry and he remembered the time he challenged a tamer named Regan to a Digimon Battle, and how Agumon had lost against Lizomon. He remembered that time The Digimon Ruler put a red mark on Jijimon and controlled him to attack him and the other Digidestined and how Evander card slashed a powerful "Digi-Modify! Radiant Force activate! Digi-Modify! Power Activate!" and his MetalGreymon's Giga Destroyer was so powerful that it leveled the entire area, but still did only mild damage to the red mark controlled Jijimon. He chuckled as he remembered Flora, a girl from the planet Felinia, contacting him on the com to scold him for nearly blowing them all up. "I sure was reckless back then." Evander thought quietly to himself. "Reckless, hot headed, and stupid. I'm nothing like that now. I'm the calm, rational, logically thinking Detective Glovion. It's amazing how people change as they grow up. You know? We're kind of like Digimon in that way. Agumon and Jessica's Gabumon also seem totally different when they Digivolve to Omnimon. Hmm...maybe someone should make an anime about how human growth is tied to a Digimon's growth."

All of a sudden, the outer wall came crashing in and dust and debri filled the entire room. "What the Hell is going on!?" Evander shouted as he coughed. Evander and Jessica looked over to see a black haired man with a brownish yellow vest and dark green shoulder armor on. He had dark black pants and brown leather boots on. It was Kinandon from Aqualia! "Well, well, well, lookie what we have here. So you masacre my whole family and come home to a comfy quiet bed with your hubby? Jessica, you are a cold hearted monster." Kinandon said. Evander and Jessica noticed that Kinandon was standing on something; a Devidramon! The Digimon Analyzer classifies it as an evil dragon Digimon. It's at the champion level. "A Digimon!?" Evander said, surprised to see any Digimon after 2 years. "What do you mean masacre? I've never met you or your family!" Jessica responded. Kinandon gritted his teeth and growled in anger. "Don't play dumb, you murdering bitch! You almost killed me! I'd be dead if your laser gun hadn't run out of energy!" He shouted. "I swear! I don't know you! You must have the wrong woman!" Jessica shouted.

Below, the commotion was drawing a lot of attention. Police officers were soon on the scene cautioning people to back away from the area for their safety. The local news was also covering it. "Channel 7 is here live at Nakano Apartment Building. A giant black dragon creature with a man riding on it has just busted into one of the apartments. He is conversing with someone, but we can't make out what they're saying." A female news reporter said into her camera.

Kinandon got even angrier. "Do you think I'm stupid!? Devidramon! Attack!" Kinandon shouted. Devidramon raised his massive arm and poised it to strike. "Crimson Claw!" the black devil dragon Digimon shouted as it swung its claws at Jessica and Evander. Evander instinctively grabbed Jessica and jumped backwards, narrowly avoiding Devidramon's sharp claws. Devidramon's claw came down onto the bed and broke it in half. "Honey, we have to get out of here, pronto!" Evander said. Jessica nodded. "Yeah." They both ran to the door of their apartment room and exited into the hallway. They ran downstairs and made it outside. Unfortunately, Kinandon and the Devidramon he was standing on were waiting there for them. "Think you can escape Aqualian justice?" Kinandon said. Jessica's eyes widened with surprise. "Did you say, Aqualian?" She asked, not thinking she heard correctly. "Aqualian! You know, the planet Aqualia; the planet you and I are from! Are you deaf as well as evil?" Kinandon responded. "Another Aqualian! I can't believe it!" Evander said. "Why are you after me?" Jessica inquired. Kinandon just shook his head in disbelief. "It amazes me that you could look someone dead in the eye before you shoot them and pretend not to know them." Kinandon said. "Ok, I'll play your game. You came to Aqualia through some portal, shot my entire family, and tried to shoot me. Your reason? You said you were declaring war on Aqualia on behalf of The United Nations. Why war against us, you ask? Because my ancestors took back the advanced technology we gave the people of Atlantis and used terraforming technology to cause it to sink into the ocean." Kinandon explained.

Jessica stared in surprise and fear. Surprise at what this man was telling her, and fear of what the Devidramon could do to her at any moment. "This can't be." Jessica said. "I've haven't seen my home planet in a long time! My parents brought me to Earth when I was 5 years old, and I only went back once when the Anti-Royal Knights were invading different planets!" Kinandon said "No more talking. Devidramon! Kill her! No. Wait, kill her human hubby first. Let's make her suffer the way I did before she passes into the next world." Devidramon raised his claw again, poised to slice Evander. Evander's eyes went wide with fear and he started trembling. There was nowhere to run, not enough time to dodge, not enough time to do anything but stand there and be cut down. Devidramon powered up his claws for another strike. They glowed red. "Crimson…" Devidramon began. Suddenly, three consecutive fire balls came out of nowhere and hit Devidramon! Devidramon was knocked off balance for a second and nearly fell over. Kinandon nearly fell off but was able to regain his footing. "What was that?" Jessica asked. "Yoo hoo!" a high pitched voice came from above. Evander and Jessica looked up. It was an Agumon. "Agumon!?" Evander said in pleasant surprise. Agumon was waving from a second story window. "Long time no see, buddy!" Agumon said. Terriermon jumped up and held himself up by the window frame so he could see out the window too. "You guys just can't seem to stay out of trouble can you?" He said. Ladybugmon pushed his way forward and leaned on Terriermon. "Don't forget about MEEEEEeeeeee!" Ladybugmon said in sing songy. "You're squishing me!" Terriermon complained. Ladybugmon picked up Agumon and Ladybugmon flew down to the entrance of the apartment building where Evander and Jessica were standing. Terriermon used his large ears to glide down. "How did you get here?!" Evander asked. "That's what you say after we haven't seen each other in 2 years?!" Agumon said, offended. "We'll explain later! We got a fight on our hands!" Terriermon said, looking over in Devidramon's direction.

Jessica looked a little sad. She was obviously hoping her own Digimon; Gabumon, Leormon, and Pawnchessmon were with them. "What's with the long face? They're here too." Terriermon said. Ladybugmon flew up to the second floor apartment building and assisted Gabumon, Leormon, and Pawnchessmon down just as he did with Evander's Digimon. Jessica's face lit up and some tears filled her eyes. "Gabumon! Leormon! Pawnchessmon!" She said as she group hugged her Digimon. "I missed you, Jessica." Gabumon said.

Kinandon was surprised to see these creatures. "My advisor told me you had Digimon, but she said they weren't here with you." He said. "No matter. Attack!"

Evander and Jessica both took out their digivices. As children, their Digivices were D-Powers, but when Eden was invented, they both got Digivices shaped like smart phones. This meant they couldn't use the Card Slash feature anymore, but it didn't matter. "Agumon, Terriermon, Ladybugmon," Evander began as he held up his orange smartphone-like digivice. "Gabumon, Leormon, Pawnchessmon," Jessica continued as she held up her blue smartphone-like digivice up in the same pose as Evander, "Digivolve" they both shouted in unison.

The word "DIGIVOLUTION" appeared on both their digivices in big green letters against a black background.

"Agumon digivolve to…..Greymon!"

"Terriermon digivolve to….Gargomon!"

"Ladybugmon digivolve to….BoxerInsectmon!"

"Gabumon digivolve to….Garurumon!"

"Leormon digivolve to….Leomon!"

"Pawnchessmon digivolve to….ChessKnightmon!"

Their Digimon stood poised and ready, now in their champion forms. "You're outnumbered, buddy!" Greymon said. "Oh really?" Kinandon said. Kinandon took out a device that opened up some portals through which came more Devidramon. There were now about 6 Devidramon, one for each of Evander's and Jessica's Digimon. Greymon grabbed one of the Devidramons and threw it up into the air. "Nova Blast!" Greymon shouted before firing a big fire ball out of his mouth at the Devidramon. The Devidramon took a direct hit and fell to the ground, shrieking in pain. It got up and rain towards Greymon. "Red Eyes!" Devidramon shouted before shooting red lasers out of its eyes. The lasers hit Greymon and immobilized him. "Darn it! I can't move!" The Devidramon took Greymon's immobility as an opportunity to strike. "Crimson Claw! Crimson Claw! Crimson Claw!" Devidramon slashed Greymon 3 times with glowing crimson colored claws. Greymon took some damage. The Devidramon then kicked Evander's Greymon, knocking it to the ground. Evander gasped as he saw his Digimon fall to the ground. It actually fell back into the apartment building, doing even more damage than Kinandon had previously caused. "Greymon's in trouble!" Evander yelled.

Gargomon ran up to the Devidramon that was attacking Greymon. "Bunny Pummel!" he shouted as he hit Devidramon with both of its machine guns. Gargomon then did a backflip to get some distance between himself and the Devidramon. Gargomon pointed his arm guns at the Devidramon. "Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon shot his machine guns at Devidramon and hit him with a plethora of rubber bullets. The Devidramon cried out in pain as the barrage of rubber bullets sank into its flesh. Gargomon then went to Greymon and shot a single rubber bullet into his foot. "Hey, Greymon! Snap out of it." "Ow! Greymon cried out in pain. It hurt, but it was just what he needed to get over his paralysis. Greymon stood up and rammed into the Devidramon that paralyzed him with his horns. "Great Horns Attack!" Greymon shouted as he attacked. "Crimson Claw!" Devidramon retaliated. Greymon grabbed Devidramon's arm just as he was about to hit him with another Crimson Claw. Greymon threw Devidramon over his shoulder and slammed him down on the pavement. Devidramon hit the pavement face up, his back hitting the pavement so hard that it caused the pavement to crack a little. Greymon's mouth started fuming flames. "Nova Blast!" He shouted as another large fire ball came out of his mouth. The fire ball hit Devidramon and caused him to dissipate into digital particles, before reforming as a DigiEgg. "One down." Greymon said.

Meanwhile, another Devidramon was going after Jessica. Jessica screamed in terror as the Devidramon flew towards her, arm stretched out, like it was going to grab her. All of a sudden, her Garurumon jumped in front of her and bit down on Devidramon's hand. "Garurumon!" Jessica cried out, sounding relieved. "You won't hurt my Jessica!" Garurumon told the Devidramon. He took his powerful wolf-like jaws off of the Devidramon's hand and turned towards him. "Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted as he spewed a large stream of blue flames. The Devidramon screamed in pain as the flames consumed it. It jumped back and prepared for a counter strike. It reached out for Garurumon "Touch of evil!" This attack slashes enemies with the powers of darkness. Fortunately, Garurumon dodged. "Missed me, missed me! But please don't kiss me. You're kind of ugly." Garururumon taunted. Then Garurumon attacked again. "Howling Blaster!" More blue flames shot from his mouth and hit Devidramon. Suddenly, Jessica's Leomon jumped high into the air. He reached into his sheath and pulled out his sword. Leomon came down onto Devidramon and pierced it with his blade. Devidramon shrieked as it dissipated into digital particles before reforming as a DigiEgg. "That's a second one down." Leomon said.

BoxerInsectmon ran up to one of the remaining 4 Devidramon. "Sonic Boom!" he shouted. BoxerInsectmon uses this attack by flapping his insectoid wings at high speed and producing shock waves that slice the opponent. The Devidramon grunted in pain and took a few steps back. "How do you like them apples? Me? I love apples, myself." BoxerInsectmon said. Unlike Ladybugmon, who had a high pitched voice that sounds a lot like Elmo from Sesame Street, BoxerInsectmon has a deep manly voice like Steven Blum. However, Ladybugmon never loses its childlike nature upon Digivolving. The Devidramon grabbed BoxerInsectmon and slung him into the next building over, causing a large crack in the concrete. BoxerInsectmon stayed in the concrete crater for just a second before falling down onto someone's car below. When BoxerInsectmon fell down onto the car below, the alarm started going off. BoxerInsectmon stood up and moaned in discomfort. "I guess he doesn't like apples. Oh! I know! I should ask him about pairs!"

Gargomon stepped in for BoxerInsectmon and fired off his gatling guns. He kept firing until the Devidramon took enough damage to revert into a DigiEgg. BoxerInsectmon looked miffed. "Hey! That was my kill, Gargomon!" Gargomon scowled. "This isn't a contest, BoxerInsectmon!"

Now, only 3 Devidramon remained, one of which had the Aqualian Kinandon standing atop of it. "This is bad." Kinandon said to himself. "They're winning! How can I get my revenge if they defeat me?" Jessica shook her head. "I don't even know why you hate me! I've told you I've not been to Aqualia recently! You must have misidentified your target!" As soon as the words left Jessica's mouth, she realized something. That can't be it. Kinandon said his advisor said that their target had Digimon. Could she have done something horrible but then blacked out? She had read about this sort of thing in books on psychology. Maybe she really did kill his family, but the guilt and horror was so overwhelming that her mind forced her to forget. But she then remembered that back when Eden was a thing, lots of hackers used Digimon for their own ends. Perhaps he had one of them in mind. Obviously his target is a woman. Maybe he's thinking of a member of the Nakano Stripes, a group of hackers consisting entirely of women. But he's so sure he has the right person. And he said he got a very close look at his assailant's face. "Jessica!" Evander shouted, waking Jessica up from her series of thoughts. "Now's not the time to zone out!" Jessica nodded her head. "Uhh...right." Evander looked at their Digimon. "It's time to finish this!" Evander said in a determined tone. "Right!" All of the Digimon replied in unison.

"Nova Blast!"

"Gargo Pellets!"

"Howling Blaster!"

"Sonic Boom!"

"Fist Of The Beast King!"

"Pyramid Formation!"

All of the attacks hit the Devidramon. They all dissipated. Kinandon fell to the ground, no longer supported by the Devidramon he was standing on. He got up and wiped some blood from his mouth. He looked over at Jessica with a look that could kill. "You murderous bitch! I will have my revenge on you!" He took out a knife he was hiding and started running towards her. Evander stepped in front of his orange haired wife to shield her from her assailant. But Kinandon soon found himself being flung into a building wall by being hit by Greymon's tail. "Get Tyrannosaurus Wrek'd!" Greymon said confidently. Kinandon had the wind knocked out of him. Evander started walking towards him. "Look, pal. I don't know why you think my wife killed the Aqualian royal family, and I'm really sorry for your loss. But I won't allow you to hurt my wife under any circumstances. I'm a detective. I'll take you in for questioning." Evander said while he walked. Kinandon groaned in pain. He reached into his pocket and took out a device similar to the one he saw Jessica used. "You….won't get away with this." Kinandon said before pushing a button on the device which caused a portal to open up right underneath him, which he subsequently fell through.

Evander looked frustrated at the fact that he couldn't gnab the guy who just tried to murder his wife. "Damn it! He got away!" Evander said. Jessica looked very anxious. It was written all over her face. Was she really a killer? Did she do it but then black out due to the horror over what she had done? Should she have really used her Digimon to resist the Aqualian government? Maybe she should have let Kinandon kill her. If she was guilty, she deserved it. "Jessica. I think we should go hide somewhere." Evander said. Jessica didn't respond. She was still lost in thought. "Jessica!" Evander shouted. Jessica snapped out of it. "Wha-what?" she responded. Or, knowing that we have our Digimon now, he may send another army of Digimon after us!" Evander said. Garurumon nuzzled his snout against Jessica. "I don't believe a word he said. I know you'd never hurt an innocent person, Jessica." Garurumon said. Jessica smiled and petted her Digimon. "Thanks, Garurumon." She replied. Although, in her mind, doubts about whether that was really true were continuing to rise. The Digimon de-digivolved back to their Rookie forms.

Agumon asked "Where should we hide?" Ladybugmon chimed in, "Hopefully some place with lots of candy!" Agumon started jumping up and down "Oooh! Oooh! Or maybe somewhere with lots of hamburgers!" Evander snapped at them "Knock it off! This is no time for joking around!" Ladybugmon's and Agumon's demeanor changed, having been scolded. Evander knelt down to their level. "I'm sorry guys. I didn't mean to snap at you. It's just that this is really serious. Jessica's in a lot of trouble with her home planet and I just don't know what to do."

Suddenly they heard a feminine voice from behind them. "I don't know what kind of trouble you're in, my dear assistant. But you can lay low at my place and we can figure this out." It was Kyoko Kuremi.
