Zai walked behind the two, just keeping a short distance, but able to watch them.
"Wow... I'm glad we followed them instead... watching that Flora girl is like a movie!" Syn snickered.
"What a stubborn person..." Zai sighed, shaking her head slightly, "and an odd one too..." she mumbled lightly, "not even asking directions when lost. So the boy has to find the place when asking. Oh... I forgot his name... ah well... it doesn't really matter...'"
MetalRyumon quickly reached File City and soon went off toward Jijimon's house.
"Hey Regan, look!" MetalRyumon said.
Regan looked where MetalRyumon indicated to see Magnadramon with Kari on her and they too were flying in Jijimon's house's direction.
"Hey, Kari!" Regan shouted.
Kari looked in his direction and smiled at him. "Hi Regan!" she shouted back.
MetalRyumon moved close enough near Magnadramon.
"It's really been a while eh Kari?" Regan asked.
"Yeah...it has been...I missed you Regan..." Kari said.
"Yeah...me too..." Regan replied.
"Hey! What about me!" Magnadramon said.
"Don't worry! I missed you too. I'm glad you're all okay. I even missed the annoyance of Lizomon." Kari said.
"......I think I should take that as a compliment..." MetalRyumon said.
The other three laughed.
Mario walks up to the door and knocks. After a second, Jijimon opens the door a crack. "Ah, it's you. Where are the others?"
"Flora's right behind me, Regan went elsewhere for a short while, Evan's poisoned and in the woods for an antidote, Jessica's curing him, and we also have some others with us who want to know what is happening," Mario says in one breath.
Jijimon nods. "This is something all of you might like to see at once. Let's wait for the others before we get started. Would you like some cookies or muffins while you wait?"
Mario nods. "I think a snack would do well." He turns toward Flora and Zai and then notices Regan and Kari not far away. "Hey! Regan! Kari! Over here!"
Both Kari and Regan, still riding their flying digimons, waved from their mounts as the digimons approached and landed.
Then they climbed down from their digimon who then de-digivolved to their natural form of Lizomon and Gatomon.
"Hey guys. Sorry to have kept you waiting." Regan said.
Mario smiles. "It's no trouble."
Jijimon then opens the door while holding a pan of muffins. "Ah good to see you again, Regan, Kari, Lizomon, Gatomon. Want a fresh muffin?" he asks, holding up the pan.
"No thank you." Regan said with a little chuckle. "But I'm sure Lizomon will accept."
"Certainly!" Lizomon said happily.
"I'd like some as well." Gatomon added.
Well then Agumon came with Gabumon and told them that Evander was in trouble. Kari looked at the departing Digidestineds and digimons with a worried look on her face.
"Get yourself Kari. Regan's been in a lot worse than that. He can handle himself. And you'd better not be the one to panic. Surely the others around will be looking to you again as the leader..." Kari thought to herself.
She turned to Jijimon. "So, can we know what you wanted to tell us?" she asked
"Come on in and I'll tell you," Jijimon says, widening the door as he steps back. Mario and Flora were already inside in the living room.
Kari nodded before coming inside, but not before looking toward where Regan went first, then she finally entered the house where her Gatomon also was in.
"Okay. So, what exactly is happening Jijimon?" Kari asked as she took a seat and Gatomon jumped on her lap.
"Just stand on the rug," Jijimon says. "You'll see."
Mario looks at Jijimon with confusion and obeys him. His Digimon stand on the large 5 by 5 foot rug as he does so.
Flora shrugs and also stands on the rug, her Digimon doing so as well.
Kari briefly looks uncertain, then she looks at Jijimon.
"Uhm, it is really safe?" she asks.
Jijimon nods. "You'll be safe."
Mario looks at Flora with uncertainty, who returns a similar glare, but not too similar.
Jijimon nods and walks over to a nearby brass suit of armor. "Just keep your arms and legs inside the tunnel at all times."
"Wait a minute!" Mario exclaims. "What do you-"
Mario never had time to finish. At that second, Jijimon reaches over and twists the helmet around, a large click sounding out. Suddenly, the rug disappears, revealing a long metallic slide with no visible end. Mario, Flora, and their Digimon fall onto the slide and start to slide down the slide. Mario, Flora, and the Digimon scream in fright as they continue to slide. Well, almost all the Digimon.
"Weeee!" Guilmon yells in excitement.
Kari also screamed in fright from the descent. Yet she hoped that it was not some kind of trap.
Gatomon continued to cling tight at her partner. "When will this be over?" she shouted.
Suddenly, up ahead, a bright light is seen. The light gets closer and closer until it engulfs the group. When their eyes adjusted, they were on a foam mat in the middle of a huge underground lab-like room.
Jijimon appears from behind a rotating wall panel. "Have fun?"
Mario looks up. "How'd you get down here so fast?"
"I took the stairs."
Mario collapses in embarrassment. "If that's the case, why did you have us go down the slide?"
"I thought it would be fun for you," Jijimon says with a chuckle as he walks over to a sliding metal door on the other side of the room.
"We'll take the stairs next time." Gatomon said with some anger.
"Agreed." Kari said. "Anyway, let's see what he wants to show us."
With that Kari and Gatomon went up after Jijimon.
Mario and Flora also get up. Mario brushes himself off and follows the others with his Digimon in tow. Flora and her Digimon stay close behind.
Jijimon reaches the end of the room and presses a button on the wall. A panel slides open and reveals a keypad. Jijimon quickly punches in a code, causing an above light to go green. The keypad is hidden again and the door opens to reveal a large laboratory along with hundreds, maybe even thousands of Digimon, running around as if the world was coming to an end. "My friends," Jijimon says, talking to the Digidestined, "Welcome to Central Command."
Kari looked around in the new room, looking impressed, along with Gatomon.
"Well, seems you have finally come at last." a new voice said.
Among the digimons, he could be easily recognized. A seven feet tall figure clad in gray robes and cloak. His face had hawk-like features, long silvering hairs and his black eyes showed a great trace of experience and knowledge.
"Krasus...what are you doing here?" Kari asked.
"Surprised to see me here?" Krasus asked, his expression partly casual, partly serious.
"Well...to be honest, yes..." Kari said.
"I do not mind." Krasus said.
"Still, why are you here?" Kari asked.
"I thought Regan was with you. Where is he?" Krasus asked.
"He went to help out another digidestined. He'll come back soon." Kari answered.
"I do hope so." Krasus said. Then he changed the subject. "If I am here, it is fairly obvious : To aid the digimons in their struggle against the growing evil.
But I think that Jijimon can explain more about it, thus I will let him continue the explanations. If you will excuse me, I have to attend to other things."
Then he turned and walked away, getting back to other digimons and checking on other things.
"So Jijimon, care to explain more?" Kari asked.
Regan and Lizomon soon arrived after Evander and the others.
"No answers yet?" Lizomon said.
"But I thought he was waiting for us." Regan said. "Something else may have happened." he added in a dark tone.
Then the door opened...but the one having opened it could not be mistaken at all for Jijimon, for he was way much taller than Jijimon.
A gray cloaked figure standing seven feet tall, long silvering hairs coming out of the hood, narrow hawk-like features on the face, sharp black eyes that hinted of a great amount of experience, as well as three parallel scars traveling down the right cheek.
"Krasus!" Regan said in surprise.
"I know it is not me that you may have been expecting, but Jijimon is currently occupied." Krasus said.
Evander looked suspiciously at Krasus. "Careful, guys. This may be a trap. For all we know, this could be the threat we were called to defeat!" Evander said. "If that's the case, then give him a big ole punch!" Augie suggested. Krasus laughed. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You wouldn't stand a chance." He said. Evander growled. "Don't you look down on me!" Evander said, throwing a punch. Krasus simply waved a hand toward Evander before he was suddenly thrown outside by an invisible force. Then multiple energy ropes appeared around Evander to tie him and held him in the air.
"I am not to be mistaken for something of a similar name in your world, young Digidestined." Krasus said.
"We know Krasus. He's a friend of Jijimon, Gennai, and is respected by a lot of digimons." Regan said.
"And is also a lot more powerful." Lizomon added with a grin. "He can even control mega level digimons, so don't think he's some kind of weakling."
Evander grunted and struggled to get free of the ropes. "I don't care how powerful you are! Anyone who looks down on me gets a knuckle sandwich!" Evander said as he wriggled around in the vines which had wrapped themselves around his body like ropes. Evander turned to his Agumon and said, "Augie, use your claws to cut these vines." Augie nodded. "Claw Attack!" He exclaimed as he tried to slice the vines to free his partner.
Inside, Jijimon continued talking to the Digidestined. In answer to Kari's earlier question, Jijimon nodded. "Yes. With this new threat to the Digital World, the counsel has decided to move underground. While I know that under my house isn't exactly the most hidden of places (a bit obvious for my tastes actually), it will have to do. Feel free to walk around and talk with some of the others. I'm sure a few familiar faces will appear in this crowd for you, Kari." He then pauses and then smiles. "I believe Regan is here with that Evan character, and apparently with Krasus." He then turns to Kari. "This place is built to hear things in the house from anywhere in the underground, but they can't hear us down here. Sounds like they're having a party, from the sound of it."
It was true. Although a bit muffled, everything upstairs could be heard.
Mario listens and sighs. "Yep, that's Evan, alright. Still as hasty as he was earlier."
Flora shrugs. "Someone should cut off his sugar supplies."
The energy ropes were completely unaffected by Agumon's attack.
"You thought it would be that easy?" Krasus camly said as he walked toward Evander and Agumon, seemingly not taking notice of Jessica and the other digimons.
As he walked closer, a series of dozens of red glowing balls appeared around Krasus, all orbiting around him.
"Digimon replication attack..." Regan muttered.
"If I truly were an enemy that would seek your death, you wouldn't be alive as we speak, young Evander." Krasus calmly said.
"Golden noose." he then spoke before two balls moved foward, a glowing golden line forming between them. They quickly moved around Agumon, immobilizing him with the double attack normally used by Pegasusmon and Nefertimon.
Then the balls returned to Krasus and continued to orbit around him.
"I am not to be underestimated, for I can be as powerful as LifeRyumon. I believe you know who it is.
Though...I admit I have much greater endurance and much more various abilities than that Holy Dragon Knight Digimon has." Krasus finished.
"Geez Krasus, LifeRyumon can really hold up against you. You know that."
"Indeed." Krasus simply answered.
"Hey Jessica, care to try to explain to Evan to stop trying to attack Krasus? He got no chances at all to do that, and It'd be better to not make too much of a bloodbath right now." Regan said.
"That's a lot of 'to' in those sentences Regan." Lizomon said with a smile.
Ladybugmon flew Closer to Krasus. "Tell me, Krasus...." Ladybugmon started. "If you are not our enemy why are you tying my tamer up in energy ropes?" Ladybugmon asked. Krasus turned to the flying insect Digimon and replied, "He attacked me first. He jumped to conclusions, then got mad when I told him he stood no chance against me. What was I supposed to do, stand there and let him get in free hits?" Krasus asked. Ladybugmon lowered his head and patted his hands together. "Oh yeah. You're right. Look, I'm sorry for my partner's behavior. I haven't known him long, but appearantly, he can be a bit of hot head." Ladybugmon said. Jessica ran over to Evander and looked angry at him. "Are you crazy!? You're lucky that Krasus is a good guy or you might be dead right now! You really cause me a lot of anxiety with your recklessness, you know that, Evander!? Why did I have to fall…" Jessica ranted before catching herself. She was going to say something else, but then modified her sentence. "Why did I have to fall through the portal with you? You're just going to make my hair turn white." Evander looked at Jessica while she angrily scolded him. Evander sighed. "I'm sorry, Jessica."
Agumon had a Sweatdrop on his head. "Thanks Evan. Now, from trying to help you out, I'm all tied up." Agumon said. "You're my Digimon partner! Helping me is your job!." Evander said. "My job? You're not paying me." Agumon replied. "That's not what I meant, you digital doofus!" Evander said, sounding annoyed.
Agumon sighed in exasperation and then turned to look at Krasus. "Krasus, Evander is a little....how should we say....." Agumon began.
Evander rolled hise yes. "I don't know but don't say it unless you want to be Extinct." Evan Threatened. "I'll just Take a bath later." Agumon said. "Extinct, not stink." Terriermon added. After a moment of scowling and brooding, Evander began wiggling again. "Now let me go!"
Jessica put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes. Then she turned around and faced away from Evander. " Jeeze, He's so impatient and hot headed." Jessica thought. "Sometimes he's the sweetest and most gentle boy I've even known. And at other times, it's like he's another person." She mumbled.
"He's such a nuisance," Flora mutters as she listens to Evan from under Jijimon's house, also finishing off Ladybugmon's apology from earlier with an appropriate term. She then looks at Kari. "If he is as strong as you say he is, then I assume that he is more than just human." Then something crosses her mind. "Hey, if he IS that strong, then why can't he just take care of the evil himself? He seems very capable."
Jijimon hears this and shakes his head. "Not that easy, I'm afraid. First of all, we don't even know where this evil is or where it will first strike. Second, we're not even sure if Krasus can match this evil in power since the evil is well hidden. If it turns out to be stronger than him, he would most likely lose."
Flora's ears droop slightly, but not very noticeably. "Eh, well, worth a shot."
Krasus simply turned away while he made a small waving off motion with a hand, causing Evander's bonds and the Golden Noose to disappear.
"Next time, you should know before speaking of things you do not understand." Krasus said as he walked back in the house.
Regan sighed as he kept an eye on Evander.
"The mermaid mentioned something about the boy acting differently than normal. We'd better be careful, just in case." Lizomon mentally told his partner.
"Agreed." Regan mentally replied.
"Well, are we going in?" Regan asked to the others as he and Lizomon followed Krasus inside.

"Krasus is powerful, yes, and he's not human as well." Kari said. "But he knows he has a limit. And he has also preferred not to always make personal interventions against enemies. He'd prefer that we wouldn't become too dependent on him."
Flora shrugs. "Same deal on my planet: never get dependent on your parents. In the third year, all cubs have to find food on their own."
Mario counts his fingers.
Flora sees this and raises an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
Mario looks up. "Eh, this is like the fifth time you mentioned something about your planet."
Flora's ear twitches a bit and she raises a claw-like fingernail to his chin. "Got a problem with it?"
Mario backs away a bit and shakes his head ferociously. "No! Not at all!"
Flora lowers her hand and turns back to Jijimon. "Well, what now?"
Jijimon holds up his hand. "Patience. I got a few things to take care of. First of all, I need to open the passage." He walks over to a lever and pulls it. A bookcase in the living room upstairs slides back to reveal some stairs down to this level of the hideaway. "Next, I need to gather the council together for a meeting." He then walks away to a sideroom. Suddenly, an intercom throughout the hideaway rings out, giving a message from Jijimon. "Attention, all council members. Please come to the boardroom for an important meeting."
Through the next room, Digimon hear this and scramble around to gather the council members. After a few seconds, several Agumon rush past, leading Gennai to the boardroom.
Mario looks at him and turns to Kari. "Who's that?"
Evander looked at Krasus "I still don't trust him." Evaner thought. He then stood Beside Regen. Evander's stomach growled. "I'm Hungry." Evander said.
Augie's stomach began growling too. "My Stomach's Caving in." Augie said.
"He's Gennai. One that has helped in growing the Digi-eggs for the Digidestined's Digimons and also in making the crests." Kari said. "He's another friend of ours, though he was a human, but he's a digital being now."
"And he's more different than Krasus. Actually less weird, though it's obvious that he gives a lot of respect to Krasus. In fact, there's a lot of Digimons that respect him, Lizomon being one of the main among them." Gatomon added.

Krasus looked where a set of hidden stairs has been revealed. "Well then, shall we?" he said as he went down the stairs.
Regan and Lizomon nodded as they followed the tall gray cloaked figure.

Kari turned to look at the stairs to see Krasus, Regan and Lizomon coming.
"Regan!" Kari said happily. She then came up to him and showed a partly worried, partly relieved look. "Are you all right?"
"Lizomon and I are okay, just tired." Regan said with a tired smile, then the smile faded. "However, I got some bad news."
"If you will excuse me, I have to attend to the meeting with the others." Krasus said.
"Wait Krasus." Regan said. "Could you tell them...that Ragnarok has returned?"
Krasus nodded, his gaze becoming more serious. "I will." he simply stated before he went up in the same direction as Jijimon, Gennai and the other Digimon leaders.
Regan then partly stepped back as he sighed and let himself rest against the nearest wall. Lizomon sat on the floor.
"You fought Ragnarok, didn't you?" Kari said with some disapprovement."
"Yeah." Regan replied. "From Rookie to Bio-Merge. Result : Draw."
Ragnarok?" Mario and his Digimon ask in unison.
Flora sighs. "Perhaps you should just tell us everything that you can about your last visit here. Otherwise, we'll be just as lost as we are now countless times from now."

Jijimon sits down at the roundtable. Dozens of Digimon were seated around the table, including the three Great Angels, along with others who weren't Digimon, including Gennai, Yukio, and Mitsuo. "Okay," Jijimon starts off. "I called us here because I have some good news. Several Digidestined have arrived, some of which many of you might be familiar with. Some of them will be a great aid in finding and destroying this evil. Others...well, let's try to stay positive." He then looks from council member to council member, seeing if there were any responses to this news.
Evander was standing next to Regen. "I can't believe this Ragnorock guy can be that powerful." Evander said. "you make this guy sound like he's more powerful than Armeggedemon and Apokalymon combined." Evander said. "What I'm wondering is how Ragnorok came to be." Jessica said. Ladybugmon made 2 Fists. "Well no matter how powerful he is, we'll beat him!" Ladybugmon said. Evander pushed his arms down a bit. "I don't know how anything can be that powerful. but then again remember Devimon?" Jessica said. "It doesn't matter. We'll be pushed aside anyway since we can only digivolve to Champion. We don't even match up to any of the tamers here." Ladybugmon said.
"Tamers? You're wrong. You ain't Tamers, but Digidestineds." Lizomon added. "Make no mistakes about that."
Regan sighed. "There's a really big lot that we did last time four years ago. It would be too long to explain too much about it.
Anyway, it's fairly obvious that we have to explain about Ragnarok."
Kari showed a saddened look. "Ragnarok...well...he's not human, and neither a Digimon. That's one thing we know for sure. But...he's just a monster."
"A monster that only likes to kill." Gatomon added, arms crossed and on a serious tone.
"Ragnarok is a creature that we've been killing many times already, but he has kept coming back. His latest idea to fight us has been to replicate our fighting ways : Digimon.
He actually created a virus copy based on my data, making that cursed BlackLizomon as powerful as me. Thus, he's a dangerous opponent." Lizomon said with clear hatred in his voice.
"But we haven't completely discovered how Ragnarok can return, but Krasus is working on it." Regan finished.
"Ragnarok...he looks a lot like me." Regan added after a pause. "But he looks different as well. You can't mistake him for me...otherwise, you're probably as good as dead.
And even encountering him alone is not a good thing. The least you need to do is make him reveal his true form..."

"My apologizes for my late arrival." Krasus said as he entered the room with the circular table. "I had a few minor things to deal with."
"Unfortunately, I bring news from the Child of Life. He told me that Ragnarok has once again returned. Not surprising again." he added up again.
"However, I believe that whatever threat is causing the Digital World to call out more Digidestineds from other worlds must truly be a calamitous one. I do have thoughts on what it could be..." he finished as he came up to the table.
Evander looked at Lizomon confused. "Well for one thing aint is not a word, and 2nd; What's the difference between a Tamer and a Digidestend anyway? For all I know I could be Étagère." Evander said. "Well, I know we don't have a Clone." Ladybugmon said with a sigh of relief. "Yeah, Great." Evander said. Evander looked kind of undecided. "I know I would be more help to you guys if our Digimon could digivolve to the next level. Maybe if I had a crest, or a blue card, or something." Evander said. "Me too." Jessica said. Terriermon hopped up on Evander's shoulders and patted him on the head, before giggling slightly. "You guys don't need to worry. You would not have been chosen to come to this world if there was nothing you could do." Terriermon said. Evander looked over to the green and white bunny perched on his shoulders and smiled. "Yeah, you're right." Evander said. Terriermon smiled with his eyes closed and giggled. "You're darn tootin', I'm right! Don't worry about it!" Terriermon said before opening his eyes again.
Flora sighs. "Can this world get any more stranger?"

"Ragnarok?" Jijimon says after several members at the table started to talk among themselves. "Oh dear, as if things couldn't get any worse." He then hears the next part. "Ideas, eh? Care to share some of them with us, Krasus?" After a few seconds, he decides to take a guess. "It wouldn't have anything to do with some of the dragon fugitives of your world, would it?"
"Weeeellllll....let's see..." Lizomon started. "Four years ago we've been through many strange things and big battles. For instance, we had to fight off the Devas and the Sovereigns who had turned evil. There has also been Diaboromon..."
"And the Burning Legion. More specifically Erisonar." Regan finished on a dark tone.
Lizomon's expression darkened heavily. As for Kari, she looked like remembering some really dark memories. Even Gatomon looked displeased.

"I doubt that there are any black dragons that have come to the Digital World for I made every possible attempt that the Digital World do not reach out to Azeroth. My world has already much of its struggle, and it would not be good if the troubles already present on my world would spill out to the Digital World.
My main thought on the possible evil has the Burning Legion being chief among them. They already made an attempt in invading this world long ago. The losses were catastrophic, though not as much as what my world suffered during those invasions.
Yet...what worries me the most...it would be...The Old Gods..." Krasus finished on a dreadful tone.

"You know, I can't help but think that there could have been another evil that could have been behind all those troubles in the Digital World. What if it could be the case?" Regan said after a while.
"I got to go take something Regan. I'll be back." Lizomon said to Regan.
"Okay." Regan said as Lizomon flew out of the room and up the stairs.
Flora shudders a bit. "Digital food? You're kidding, right? We're live human beings, not electronic pets!" She sighs and sits down.
Gatomon looks at Flora and sighs. She then looks at Kari's Gatomon. "I can tell something's bugging you, and if you don't wish to share it with us, we'll respect that."

"Eh, who?" Jijimon says with a hint of confusion.
Evan almost started laughing. "Not You the Digimon!" Evander yelled. "Great, Now let's skip to lunch." Ladybugmon said. Evan looked at Ladybugmon. "You can't skip to lunch!" Evander yelled.
"Why not?"
"Because you'll get sick." Evander answers. Jessica sighed.
Evander then looked around. "I don't know where Jijimon and them are?"
"It's a meeting, Evan," Mario says. "Jijimon said so, and I doubt it'd be nice to bust in on them, so don't get any ideas."
Flora raises an eyebrow. She hadn't really seen such a side to Mario like this. She's seen him happy, confused, and a bit bored, but never a side where he was somewhat of a smarty-pants.
Regan sat nearby while trying to rest a bit. "Evan, you're way too impatient." Regan said.
"Those who rush blindly into battle willingly march to defeat." Lizomon calmly said.
"Lizomon, I don't think we really need those kinds of philosophical words..." Gatomon said.

"It is a terrible evil that has existed ever since everything began. Very few actually know of them, even among our kind. Of course, my Queen and the Aspects know of them.
But know this : If we can protect the Digital World, then we can hold this evil back. They seek the Digital World's destruction for it may allow them to gain freedom." Krasus explained.
Evander said, "I'm not impatient, impatient....I'm stressed." Ladybugmon walks over to Regen. "What does Stressed mean?" Ladybugmon asks.
Krasus sighed. "It is a very long story, that goes back to when my world was created. It once was ruled by the Old Gods, and because of them, the elements of the world were always in chaos.
When the Creators came to this world, there has been a battle of cataclysmic proportions.
In the end, the Old Gods were sealed away, bound to remain imprisoned away from everything.
However, they have been trying to free themselves.
Around 10,000 years ago, they attempted to make use of the Burning Legion's first invasion to free themselves through the Well of Eternity, a powerful lake of infinite magic on my world.
However, they failed, and because of so much of the chaos that happened, the Well imploded, consuming itself and huge parts of the world's single continent.
So you see what I mean when your world had been lucky at the first invasion from the Legion. The Digital World never suffered such damage as Azeroth did.
However, as I have tried to discover why the Legion attempted to destroy this world, I discovered the truth.
Four years ago, Lizomon made out an interesting theory that he explained to the Digidestineds : He spoke about that both the Real World and the Digital World had multiple 'layers', or different versions, along with a True Digital World.
With the Digital World, it could be possible to go to possibly any place in the entire universe.
His theory is no myth. And that is why the Old Gods would see profit in the Digital World's destruction.
If the Digital World were to be destroyed, it could allow the Old gods to open a path out of their prison."
