Episode 4: Reunion! (Part 1)

The new Digidestined and this older tamer named Regan and his partner Digimon, Lizomon, were on their way to Toy Town after hearing a report on FIBN News that a dark shadowy figure had appeared. A Gatomon was walking with a Patamon. It wasn't Flora's Gatomon, but a different Gatomon. "Well, I came here because Krasus told me that Kari was here. And it's really doubtful that he's the kind of guy to make jokes. So, I'm going to find her, and quickly." Gatomon replied.

Her ears twitched again slightly. "Wait a minute...I think I hear her...and someone else..."

A brown haired girl was near the area with a boy. This girl was Kari, and the boy, Brian. "Perhaps...but we'd need to find our digimons first Brian. We won't be able to do much without them.

*sigh* Perhaps I should have asked Gatomon to follow me in the Real World, just like Lizomon did with Regan. Lizomon actually managed to follow us when we returned to our world, and he spent the last years with Regan. Actually, that helped him in making visits to me..." Kari said, with a very slight blush coming on her cheeks.

"Yeah...that's her!" Gatomon said after a while. "Come on Patamon! If we can find her, maybe we can find BJ!"

With that, Gatomon quickly jumped toward the source of the voice.

"Brian?" Patamon shouted with a big smile on his face. He took off and followed Gatomon.

"So Kari you and Regan still going out? After all these years? Wow that's neat I wish we could have kept in contact.. along with all the other digidestineds.. Do you remeber my sister? She's doing ok maybe she'll come back to the digital world too."

Brian gave a smile to Kari and began to walk down the empty streets of Toy Town.

Kari blushed again when Brian mentioned about Regan and her still going out, then she controlled herself more.

"It would have been nice indeed if we could have kept in contact...but we're not even in the same reality. Only Regan was from my own...and yeah, I remember Ghelsey. Perhaps she'll return as well." Kari said as she started following BJ.

But then just after, something nearly dropped on her. "Kari!" it shouted. It took a little while for Kari to realize it was Gatomon.

"...Gatomon..." Kari muttered as she looked at her partner, then hugged her with a few tears coming out of her eyes. "I missed you so much..." Kari muttered.

"I missed you too..." Gatomon replied, hugging Kari.

Brian smiled at the site of Kari and Gatomon's reunion. "Brian!" a small voice shouted. Brian looks up and something jumps off a rooftop of one of the houses, then spreads its wings and glides at Brian. Brian's eyes widened when he realized who was heading towards him, "Patamon!!" Brian caught Patamon and gave him a great big hug. "I've missed you so much Brian!" Patamon shouted. "Me too! I mean I missed you too not myself." Brian said with a giggle in his tone.

The shadowy figure from above watches. "A reunion. How touching." He chuckles as the shadows around him start to disperse. "Too bad it won't last long." He slowly lowers in altitude until he could still watch the reunion and be close enough to launch his surprise attack.

After hugging her, Kari looked back at her partner. "What's happening here Gatomon?" she asked.

"I'm not sure, but I think the Digital World is in trouble again." Gatomon said.

"Do you know what is causing it?" Kari asked. Gatomon shook her head. "If only I could. Sorry Kari."

"It's okay...But do you know what could have caused Toy Town to be empty?" Kari asked.

"I only know what I heard from the FIBN news, speaking about a shadowy figure that had appeared here. I really wonder what it is, but I'm sure that with you and Brian back, we can beat it." Gatomon said.

"Have you seen Regan? I've been told that he would come into the Digital World." Kari said.

"Sorry, I haven't seen him. But that would be great if he could come." Gatomon said.

"Perhaps he's already there...I hope I'll be able to see him soon..." Kari said with a hopeful smile.

Ah, how sweet," a dark voice projects mockingly. "I'm afraid, however, that your reunion is going to be cut short. Evil Wing!" A wave of darkness suddenly shoots out from every alley and street, all targeting the group.

Meanwhile, Flora stops at the town boundaries. She looks back at Mario and the Digimon, who had barely kept up with her. She grins a bit. "Not bad for amateurs."

"AMATEURS?" Mario yells, breathing hard. "With the running I did just now, I bet I could have broken a world record in track!" He leans over a bit to catch his breath. Seconds later, a voice is heard inside the town, not talking to them, but apparently someone else. The voice suddenly shouts out and gusts of darkness blow out of the town entrance, rising up into the sky and creating a blanket of darkness that not even the sun could penetrate. "Ah gee..." Mario mutters.

Gatomon's reaction was half-automatic when she heard the attack. Especially since the name of the attack was familiar...

"Gatomon, digivolve to...Angewomon!!!"

Angewomon quickly grabbed Kari before flying upward, her own body generating a small amount of light, but not much to try to see around.

"Angewomon! Where's Brian?" Kari asked.

"Sorry, I couldn't see him. I thought it was better that I helped you, but knowing his partner, I doubt he's let him down." Angewomon replied.

Kari then heard a beeping on her X-D3. She managed to bring it close to her face to see what it was.

"Angewomon! There are digivice signals! Outside the town! Bring us there!" Kari said.

"I'll try...but once there, I'm going back." Angewomon replied.

"What?" Kari asked.

"I believe the one who did that is...LadyDevimon..." Angewomon replied.

Ryumon and Regan arrived above the others. Then Regan's digivice started beeping.

"Ryumon! Two digivices signals inside!" Regan said. Then he interrupted himself, as he felt something.

"...Kari's there!!!" he suddenly said.

"You're sure?" Ryumon asked.

"Absolutely!" Regan replied.

"Okay...Anyway, we can't really see anything within the smoke Regan. What should we do?" Ryumon asked.

"We'll have to go in!" Regan replied. "Even if the smoke's blinding you, you can still rely on smell and hearing."

"Good point...but I don't like about an enemy hidden there. It must be strong." Ryumon said.

"I think I know what you mean, and want. Okay! Go for it! Digivolve!" Regan said as he raised his right hand who started glowing red before making a strong flash, followed by Ryumon glowing.

Then electricity and data circles started flowing around Ryumon as he extended his arms and his claws started being covered in metal, followed by the rest of his arms up to his torso. Metal spread from his torso to his legs, head and tail, turning the dragon into a bigger cyborg dragon.

"Ryumon, digivolve to...MetalRyumon!!!"

MetalRyumon let out a mighty roar, then he opened the multiple jet ports on his body before charging in the smoke, using his senses of smell and hearing to better guide himself against whatever enemy there would be...

A loud roar was heard by both Kari and Angewomon. "Did you hear that?" Kari asked.

"Yes...that's...MetalRyumon!" Angewomon said surprised.

"MetalRyumon?!?!?" Kari repeated. "Then...Regan's here!!! We have to find him!"

"All right!" Angewomon replied.

Zaiaku walked to where she was standing a short distance behind Mario, holding onto Nyaromon, or Syn as she was now known as. Zai looked at Mario, "eh... track?"

"Weird... yet cool..." Syn mumbled, still in Zai's arms, as the darkness rose into the sky.

"Very... interesting..." Zai mumbled lightly, holding Syn tightly enough to prevent her from hopping out of her arms and running off.

Still hugging Patamon, Brian heard the attack, "Gah put the reunion on hold Patamon!" Brian quickly released Patamon, "Ready? Let's do this!" Brian shouted. "Right!" Patamon replied. Brian grabs his digivice and gives a grin, "Digivolve!"

("Patamon digivolve to.... Angemon!")

Angemon grabs Brian and takes off into the sky, Brian sees Kari and Angewomon in the air, "Kari! Angewomon!" Angemon heads towards the two at full speed.

"Didn't that voice sound familiar?" Angemon asked as he headed towards Kari and Angewomon.

Zai stared blankly towards the town, wondering what was happening, since she couldn't see a thing within it, "Syn...what's going on? Is this town supposed to be like this? It doesn't seem very... hn.... toyish...."

Syn squirmed, a little, nervously, "I don't know, it's not supposed to be like this! I think something just attacked the area, I've never seen Toy Town like this... it's definitely not normal."

Evander stood there in the dark. "It hasn't been this dark since that ice storm last Christmas." Evander said. "this is no time to joke around." Jessica said. "I'm no joking, you remember back near christmas and...." Evander was cut off bye Jessica. " Yes, I remember." Ladybugmon flew out of Evander's arms. "Come on. Maybe we can walk around using my sonic waves as, like…sonar.." Ladybugmon said. Evander looked confused. "YES! Just like a bat! It's brilliant!" Evander said.

"Yes." Angewomon replied. "I think it's LadyDevimon."

"But Angewomon and I just heard something else. A roar. I think it's MetalRyumon! Regan's digimon!" Kari added.

Mario looks at the darkness and sighs. He couldn't maneuver through this stuff unless it was cleared. He looks at his Digimon. "Do you think we can maneuver through this?"

Guilmon looks at the darkness and back to Mario. "If it's not flammable, we can probably blast through it. If it is, let's not take the chance of blowing everyone to kingdom come."

Mario nods in agreement.

Flora chuckles a bit. "Good thing I got my nose. Gatomon?"

"Same here," Gatomon says. She sniffs a bit and seems to pick up something. "I'm picking up several people and Digimon in there. I can recognize Regan and some of the others, but there's about four or five that I'm having a hard time recognizing. Must not be familiar to me, yet."

Flora nods. "Yeah, same here." She turns to Mario and the other Digimon. "Alright, put your hand on each other's shoulder and then we'll move in like a train. We'll sniff out a path and get us through the town to whatever is going on."

The group does so. Mario puts his hand on Guilmon who places his hand on Agumon who places his hand on Palmon who places her hand on Gatomon who grabs Flora's tail.

Flora twitches a bit. "Off...the tail..."

"Oh, sorry," Gatomon mutters and lets go.

Flora sighs. "Alright, let's go." The group walks into the darkness.

The shadowy figure watches the new Digidestined entering the town. Good, the shadowy Digimon thought. More victims. The shadow would make his move soon

"Why is it that I have a horrible feeling about this?" Zai sighed lightly, looking at Syn, who she knew was in her arms, since she felt Syn shift a little.

"How are we going to find our way around?" Syn shifted a little, not liking holding still, but fearing getting lost if she hopped down.

Zai moved one of her arms so that she could take off her jacket, allowing her black wings to show, though in the smoke they wouldn't, and sighed, "My wings will help so I don't hit things around me, and I'll rely on my other senses for the rest, like hearing," she mumbled lightly, shutting her eyes, since they were of little use in the smoke, and walking towards the town, with a slightly panicked Digimon in her arms.

"Brian I'm gonna put you down on the ground... I may have an idea." said Angemon. Angemon landed on the ground still in the darkness, Brian stood still hoping not to fall. Angemon looks up at the sky. "What do you plan on doing?" Brian asked.

"I plan on brightening things up." Angemon replied as he pulled his arm back and prepared to attack. "Hand of Fate!" Angemon shoots out a bright light that tore through the darkness. "Look! You made a whole in the darkness!" Brian shouted as happy as can be. Angemon gave a smirk and prepared to attack the darkness again.

"Kari! Maybe Angewomon can use her arrows, to tear through the darkness too!" Brian shouted hoping Kari would hear her.

Angewomon nodded as she landed too and dropped Kari as well, then she rose up and prepared an arrow to shoot.

"Celestial Arrow!" she shouted, then released her light arrow into the surrounding darkness.

The arrow tore through the darkness before exploding a little away, having cleared up some amount of the dark mist.

"Geez! Watch out there!" someone shouted. The voice seemed to come from a certain proximity from where Angewomon had shot her arrow.

"Who is it?" Angewomon asked, readying another arrow.

"Geez...you don't even recognize us Angewomon?" another voice asked, deeper in level and was rumbling.

Coming into the small mist-cleared area to make itself visible, MetalRyumon with Regan on him came into view.

"It's me, MetalRyumon!" MetalRyumon shouted.

"MetalRyumon?" Kari heard. She looked toward the mist-cleared zone to see the metal dragon. "Regan?" she shouted.

"Kari!" Regan shouted back, waving from MetalRyumon's back.

"Reunion times will have to wait guys! We should deal out with this mist first!" MetalRyumon interrupted.

"Hey Angemon!" the metal dragon added. It obviously showed that he knew that Angemon was there. "Perhaps you could digivolve to Ultimate and try to use Gate of Destiny to suck up that mist!"

"He may be right." Angewomon added before throwing out a "Heaven's Charm!" attack, sending out waves of pink holy energy which cleared up other parts of the shrouded sky.

Brian jumps up and down with excitement, "Regan! MetalRyumon! Hey!" Brian couldn't stop smiling at the site of his old friend. Brian heard the idea, and nodded, "Sounds like a great idea! Angemon let's do it!" Brian lifts his digivice into the air, and a bright light shot out of the digivice, along with the digivice Brian's crest began to glow and shot a beam of light.

Both beams combined into one, and hit Angemon.

"Angemon digivolve to.... MagnaAngemon!"

MagnaAngemon gives a smirk, then lifts his hand into the air, a purple beam like sword, appears on MagnaAngemon's right hand. "Gate of Destiny!" MagnaAngemon shouted as he made a circle before him. A golden gate appeared before him and opened, sucking up all the dark mist.

Kari looked relieved when she saw the mist being sucked in MagnaAngemon's Gate of Destiny. When the sky finally cleared, MetalRyumon landed near Kari as Angewomon also landed.

Regan quickly jumped down from MetalRyumon and ran up to Kari, who also went up to him. And as soon as they arrived to each other, they hugged themselves before kissing each other.

"Great...the lovebirds are reunited..." MetalRyumon said with a moan.

"MetalRyumon frankly, you can't just deny the fact they love each other." Angewomon said with some annoyance.

"I know. Do they need to do that often? They should get a room." MetalRyumon replied with a little mischievous tone.

Angewomon sighed. "You haven't changed at all MetalRyumon."

MetalRyumon smirked. "If 10,000 as being only a spirit hasn't changed me, what makes you think a measly 4 little years can do some changes on me, even if I have a body?"

The group makes its way through the maze of streets and alleys as the mist is sucked up. "Finally," Mario says, rubbing his eyes. "I didn't know how much more of that mist I could take."

"Ditto," Gatomon says, rubbing her nose. "It was starting to irritate my nose."

Flora sighs and looks up at the new Digidestined. "Great. More newcomers."

Gatomon smirks. "Not really. They're both Ultimate, so they must have been here a while." She then looks at Angewomon. "Heh, that's my Ultimate form right there."

"What?" Flora asks.

"If I get enough energy," Gatomon replies, "I become that."

Flora looks at Angewomon and shrugs. "She's not all that special."

Not far away, the shadow smiles. "Now that they're all together, it's time to attack." The shadow moves out of the alley and hovers above the building tops. "Not bad, Digidestined, but I'm afraid that your efforts stop here." The shadow laughs as the darkness around him recedes to reveal Devimon.

Both Regan and Kari separated from each other as the dark newcomer spoke. "Devimon?" Regan asked.

MetalRyumon growled a lot. "You got some nerves to show yourself again devil Digimon." he said, then multiple cannons revealed themselves on his body, especially near the shoulders, front legs and the top of the dragon's body. All cannons were aimed at Devimon.

Angewomon also took a more offensive stance. "So, you're the one who frightened all the inhabitants of Toy Town? Just what exactly do you plan here?"

Kari made a little check on her X-D3 about Devimon. The digivice showed her that Devimon was a Champion Digimon.

"Actually, that digimon is the first threat that my brother and the other digidestineds faced the first time they came to the Digital World. I wonder how he's back. And it's just a champion." she said.

Devimon smiles. "I'm afraid you don't know the whole truth. You see, I was deleted, but I was later resurrected by the evil one. We all were, and now all of us are stronger than ever before. As for what we are planning, I'm afraid you'll have to figure out yourself." He hovers nonchalantly, grinning like a chester cat as he turns toward the Digimon. "Do you honestly think that I would be scared of your little sticks, Angewomon, or your tiny guns, MetalRyumon?" He chuckles. "Go on, give it your all. I'll send it back with a hundred times of the force."

BATTLE NOW!

Ladybugmon flew at Devimon. "Super Sonic!" He shouted as he flapped his wings and sent out sharp, condensed slices of air. "Super Sonic!" Ladybugmon attacked again, sending more waves of sharp air slices at Devimon. Terriermon decided to attack also. "Bunny Blast!" Terriermon exclaimed while firing multiple small green fireballs from his mouth.

Devimon didn't move as the attacks hit him, unfortunately with no effect.

"Fools, do you think such petty attacks can stop me?" With that, Devimon tries to knock Ladybugmon and Terriermon away. Ladybugmon and Terriermon were both knocked down and hit the ground. "Ladybugmon! Terriermon!" Evander cried out, concerned for his new digital pals. Evander turned his attention from his Digimon who were on the ground to Devimon. He reached into his pocket and brought out a card with a picture of a huge cannon on it. He swiped it through his orange D-Power. "Digi-Modify! Positron Laser Activate!"

Ladybugmon suddenly found himself now holding the large cannon that was pictured on Evander's card. Ladybugmon pointed the cannon at Devimon and shouted "Positron Laser!" Before firing a large blast of white and yellow plasmalike energy.

Evander took out another card. This one had a black drill on it. He scanned this one with his orange D-Power as well. "Digi Modify! Iron Drill Activate!" Terriermon suddenly grew a large black horn on it head which began spinning like a drill. Terriermon ran towards Devimon attempting to headbutt him with the drill spinning and hopefully bore a hole straight through him.

"Bah!" Devimon yells as he smacks the laser beam into a nearby building, which collapses seconds later. As for Terriermon, Devimon just jumps to the side to avoid his headbutt. "You're wasting my time! I want to fight the Ultimates! They would fare better against me than you pathetic weaklings!"

"That's it!" Terriermon said. Terriermon ran up to Devimon and attempted to stab him again with his drill. "HAH!" Terriermon exclaimed. "Positron Lazer!" Ladybugmon cried out, again firiing another blast of yellow and white plasma like energy from the cannon he was holding. Jessica's Leormon ran up to Devimon from the side and swiped him with his claw. "Leo Claw!" Leormon exclaimed. Devimon again deflected the Positron Laser with his hand. As for Terriermon, rather than dodging the attack this time, he kicked the little bunny away. As for Leormon's attack, he simply took it head on. Leormon's claw hit Devimon's leg and did absolutely no damage.

MagnaAngemon lands behind Brian and watches the battle that Terriermon and Ladybugmon were having with Devimon. "Obviously those two digimon have a death wish.. Unless they digivolve those attacks won't do anything.." said Brian.

"Ok then leave it to me.. I'll take care of that Devimon.. I mean an Angemon took him down before.. I'm stronger than Angemon.. Plus Angewomon is here too. So he's as good as dead.." MagnaAngemon said with a smirk on his face. MagnaAngemon walked past Brian and onwards towards Devimon. "Be Careful MagnaAngemon.. He may have something planned.." Brian said with a bit of uncertainty.

MagnaAngemon kneeled down a bit and took off into the air.

Zaiaku kept a short distance from the rest, trying to keep from view, knowing that a Nyaromon wouldn't be able to help any, and figuring Syn, she'd want to try hopping into the little fight. It was best to leave this to stronger Digimon, rather than risking what may happen to Syn, who was squirming a little in her arms.

"Geez, his Digimons are crazy or what? They can't do any damage on him." MetalRyumon thought.

His eyes narrowed at Devimon. "Obviously he planned something. I'll have to be extra careful.

Fortunately, I'm not limited to Ultimate, but I'd prefer to go higher as last resort..."

"You may claim to be stronger Devimon, but have you forgotten that holy digimons are very powerful against you?" Angewomon said. She then looked at MetalRyumon which nodded.

Angewomon opened a pink gateway over herself as she raised her arms, then MetalRyumon turned to face the portal and pointed his cannons at it. "Strato Cannons!" he shouted, then opened fire in the portal.

All the energy of MetalRyumon's attack was transferred to Angewomon as she readied a glowing white arrow on her arm. "Let's see how you'll handle this! Celestial Arrow!"

MetalRyumon had a serious look on his face as he gave a side glance at Angewomon. She understood well the meaning of it.

Angewomon then released her arrow at Devimon.

Devimon smiles as the attack comes toward him. "Very impressive." He then glides off to one side, dodging the arrow. "I'm afraid you'll have to do better, however."

Mario and his Digimon only watch. This battle was out of their league. They decided to stay nearby anyway so they could offer assistance, just in case.

Flora wanted to do something, but she could only watch the battle take place before her. She sighs and sits down near Mario, feeling a bit strange in his presence.

MagnaAngemon flies straight for Devimon preparing to tackle him, "You may have dodged Angewomon's arrow, but you won't dodge this!" MagnaAngemon shouted as he neared Devimon.

Meanwhile, Evander was preparing for another plan of attack. He brought out a modify card with a picture of WarGreymon's brave shields on it. Then, he brought out a card that had a picture of Omnimon's sword on it. He scanned the cards through his orange D-Power. "Digi-Modify! Golden Shield Activate!" "Digi-Modify! Omni Blade Activate!"

Ladybugmon's cannon had vanished and in its place was now a large shield that could be broken into two halves it one wanted. It was the same shield a WarGreymon had on its back. He also weilded a large sword with DigiCode written on it. DigiCode was the written language of Digimon. Ladybugmon flew towards Devimon with his sword and shield. "Grey Sword! Grey Sword!" Ladybugmon shouted, swinging his sword twice.

"Terrier Tornado!' Terriermon shouted, spinning around rapidly and creating a vortex of wind which he subsequently sent towards Devimon. Jessica's Leormon decided to attack again as well. "Leo Claw!" Leormon Attacked. Devimon dodges the first sword swing and catches the second with his hand. As for Terriermon's and Leormon's attacks, he gets him with them directly, once again taking no damage whatsoever.

MagnaAngemon continues charging at Devimon preparing to tackle him then he notices the smaller Digimon, "Stop attacking before you guys get hurt! You should sit this fight out!" MagnaAngemon shouted as he rushed at Devimon.

Devimon smacked Ladybugmon away with his hand, sending him flying back a few dozen feet. He also kicks Leormon away. Ladybugmon looked up at MagnaAngemon and shouted, "No I'm tired of being treated as a weaker digimon!" Then he turned to Evander with a look of desperation on his face. "Evan! I want to become stronger! I want to protect you! Please help me!" Ladybugmon yelled. Evander got a determined look on his face and nodded. Then he noticed his digivice glowing! ! "Huh I said as his Digivice glew! Suddenly, a word scrolled across the black screen in all caps and green letters.

DIGIVOLUTION

"Ladybugmon Digivolve to.....BoxerIncectmon!"

In Ladybugmon's place was now a much taller Digimon. This Digimon appeared as a humanoid and was about 6 feet tall. He had a red beetle shell on his back covered in black polka dots. He wore boxer shorts and had boxing gloves at the end of four arms, meaning he had two sets of boxing gloves on. This was Ladybugmon's Champion form; BoxerInsectmon, who Evander had drawn a picture of earlier. Boxerincectmon faced Devimon and flapped his insect wings, sending out large and condesnced slices of air that would cut the enemy if it made contact. "Sonic Boom!" BoxerInsectmon shouted as attacked.

Devimon rolls his eyes after seeing the Champion. "Not very impressive," Devimon says as he takes the hit head-on as well and comes out unscathed! He then turns toward MagnaAngemon. "You, you are a slight bit more impressive, but not so much." He then shoves his hand out in front of him to stop MagnaAngemon with it alone.

BoxerIncectmon ran up to Devimon. "Rapid Punches!" He exclaimed as he hit Devimon with a barrage of punches so rapid that his arm movements could barely be seen with the naked eye! He followed it up with another "Sonic Boom!" Devimon just laughs as he stood there taking all of BoxerInsectmon's punches and his cutting air waves. "You call yourself a Champion? This is pathetic!" Devimon taunted.

"Out of the way!" roared MetalRyumon. He bashed in BoxerIncectmon, Leormon and Terriermon, sending the three flying away then he turned back at Devimon.

"Now with the little ones out of here...Strato Cannons!" MetalRyumon shouted as he backflipped then opened fire with a wild spray of energy blasts from his cannons all aimed at Devimon.

Angewomon flew above the others, and prepared another arrow. "Celestial Arrow!" she shouted as she sent it at Devimon.

Devimon laughs as he just absor. "Is this it?" With his free hand, he swats at the cannon fire, knocking every bullet away from their mark and into the surrounding buildings. After he finished with that, he reached out and caught the arrow by the shaft before tossing it aside. "I don't think you understood what I meant when I said I am stronger than ever before. I'm strong enough to be a fusion of ten Megas!" He laughs again.

Boxerincectmon got hit by some of the stray bullets that Devimon had deflected with his hands and shouted in pain!

Terriermon turned back to Evander and said, "Evander, I want to help too! I have to become stronger! Please! Make me digivolve too!" Evander held out his digivice, trying to pour all of his emotions into the little device. "Terriermon! Digivolve!" Evander exclaimed. Then his digivice glowed again, and once again the word "DIGIVOLUTION" scrolled across his digivice in big green letters against a black background.

"Terriermon Digivolve too......Gargomon!"

In Terriermon's place was now a larger rabbit. He wore denim jeans and had large gatling guns on his arms as well as a bandolier around his chest. On his face was red war paint. This was Gargomon; Terriermon's Champion form. Gargomon looked happy. "I did it I digivolved!" Gargomon said before pointing his guns at Devimon. "Now, take this! Gargo Pellets!" The guns on Gargomon's arms began spinning rapidly and shooting a plethora of bullets.

Devimon got hit with the bullets, but he held up his hand to block them. "How many times do I have to tell you? It's useless!" Devimon responded before flapping his wings and sending waves of darkness at the heat packing rabbit. Gargomon got hit with the attack and cried out in pain, being sent back a little bit.

Boxerincectmon flew up to Devimon again, flapped his wings again, and sent more waves of sharp, condensed slices of air at him while shouting "Sonic Boom!" Devimon got hit with the attack! The sonic waves hit him in the chest and face. However, again, the attack didn't phase him! Jessica's Digimon, Leormon ran up to Devimon and swiped at him again with his claw while shouting "Leo Claw!"

Jessica reached into her pocket and brought out a modify card that had a large, black drill on it, like the one Evander used on Ladybugmon earlier. She scanned it through her blue D-Power. "Digi Modify! Iron Drill Activate!"

Leormon ran up to Devimon all all fours with the large drill spinning on his head. "Iron Drill!" He shouted. Devimon just kicked Leormon away as he had a couple of times before.

MetalRyumon kept his expression analytical at Devimon.

"What we might need is that MagnaAngemon uses a Gate of Destiny to deal with Devimon...

Or we summon out a digimon stronger than a mega...

That would mean digivolve even more...

Great, as much as bio-merging is a nice thing to do, it may not always be the greatest thing to constantly do...But Regan's strong. He can handle it." MetalRyumon thought as he gave a side glance at Regan.

Regan frowned a bit.

"Brian, I think we should try out the Gate of Destiny again, but if it ain't working as well, we'll have to make our digimon digivolve even more." Regan said.

"But Devimon is claiming to have the strength of ten megas. Can that be enough?" Kari said.

"If UltimaRyumon, Magnadramon and Seraphimon aren't enough...there's still more..." Regan said.

Bit Kari clearly understood what Regan meant.

Zaiaku glanced around, barely noticing much of her surroundings, still holding Syn, who wouldn't stop squirming, "You won't do any good, okay? Listen to what the thing is saying, he, I think it's a he, is a lot stronger than you, and if you can't do damage to him, you can't even use smarts to outwit him, since it wouldn't matter much."

"I know, but I want to help. It's my world too. I want to do somethi-" Syn was cut off as Zaiaku threw her jacket over Syn.

"Shut up, you can't do anything, so stop trying to help, you'll get in the way and make things worse," she hissed in a whispering tone, trying to keep Syn quiet.

Evander stood there as he could do nothing. Devimon held up his hands towards Evander's and Jessica's Digimon. "Death Hand! Death Hand! Death Hand!" Devimon shouted, repeatedly blasting reddish black energy out of hit hands. BoxerInsectmon, Gargomon, and Leormon all got hit and took major damage! They screamed in pain and were blasted back in the wall of a building which then had craters created by the partner Digimons' bodies. Devimon wasn't done yet, he flew up to the Digimon and began pummeling him with a barrage of claw slices from his glowing red claws, "Deadly Nail! Deadly Nail! Deadly Nail! Deadly Nail!" Devimon shouted as he repeatedly slashed BoxerInsectmon, Gargomon, and Leormon. Evander had tears start to swell up in his eyes. He lowered his head and squinted his eyes. "BoxerIncectmon! Gargomon! Come back before you get Deleted!" Evander yelled. "You too, Leormon!" Jessica called out. Devimon turned around and began walking away from the newbie Digimon partners. BoxerInsectmon grunted in pain as he slowly stood up. "No….I'll never turn back!" BoxerIncectmon said weakly. "BoxerIncectmon…" Evander thought. "Ladybugmon's just a baby. He shouldn't be fighting in the first place. How could I send him into battle without even thinking of his wellbeing or what he wanted?" Evander thought crying silently. He then collected himself, rubbed the tears from his eyes and looked forward towards Devimon. Evander felt a fierce anger come over him. He ran up to Devimon with his fist reared back, preparing for a punch. "You bastaaaard!" He shouted. Jessica watched in shock as she watched Evander running towards the black devil humanoid Digimon. "Evander! What the heck are you doing!?" Jessica shouted. Gargomon's eyes widened with shock. "Evander! No! Stay away! You can't beat him!" Gargomon shouted. Evander didn't listen to any of them. He continued to run towards Devimon, intending to break his jaw.
