"...Why in the world am I tired?" Zai grumbled lowly, shutting her eyes for a few moments, then sighed softly, "...when are we leaving?" her eyes flickered to Syn. Or... where Syn had been.
Syn was hopping around the kitchen, snooping about the room with a strange, crazed expression on her face, then seemed to randomly stand up perfectly straight, "uh... I forgot what I was doing..." she scratched her head a little, "um... hn... oh well! It was fun!"
"Now, You just tell Mario and them to get out of here. " Evander said.
Meldmon: Come on we gotta go!
Soon, Mario's Digimon and Palmon stumble into of the kitchen, getting something to eat before looking more awake.
Well after they wait for everyone to eat, soon they leave. Evander, Jessica, Tameron and their Digimon left the house and went to go look for the Crests.
Evander: So I wonder Zai's Crest is.
Tankbugmon: Maby it's Apathy, Angst, Bravery, Loyalty, Justice, Serenity, Calmness, I Don't know. But what I wonder is when is it going to Glow?
Evander: Yes, if it's a trait that she's not very good at it could be tricky.
Agumon: Don't worry about it, When the time is right it will glow.
Tankbugmon: I hope so, The Digimon we face aren't getting stronger, that's not possible but they are getting crafty. I Mean like using Human Shields.
Tameron turned to his Digimon; Meldmon.
"What Level are you at?" Tameron asked. Meldmon turned around and smiled. "I'm at the Rookie Level. As Nanomon I was at the Fresh Level." Meldmon said.
Leormon: Mabey Tameron will be the next one to go to Ultimate.
Gabumon: I can't wait to go to Mega.
Leormon: But you just now got to Ultimate, why are you in such a Rush to get to Mega?
Gabumon looked up at the orangey blue sky. "Because it's Agumon and my goal to Digivolve to Omnimon." Gabumon said.
Jessica turns around. "ZAI! ARE YOU BACK THERE!?" Jessica yells.
Evander sighs. "Well if they're not they will be....seeing as the Ridge is 20 feet from the house."
Zai seemed to walk unusually fast for how she usually stepped, trying to keep up with her cheery little feline digimon, as she exited the house, and began to follow the group. Either she was in a bad mood and just wanted to get the day over with, or she just felt like getting her crest quickly, "no, I'm frolicking in a meadow!" she shouted to Jessica sarcastically.
"Oooh! I like meadows!" Syn responded cheerfully, before stopping, and making grabby hands, to be picked up by Zai, who sighed before lifting up the little cat.
"Do you mind not yelling?" Mario asks, clearing out his ears. "Seriously, why do you scream?"
Flora sighs. "It hurts me more," she says, pointing to her cat ears.
"Same as Flora," Gatomon says.
Meldmon sweadropped. "Oh Sorry." Meldmon said.
Tankbugmon: We are here!
At the canyon's bottom, a strange slab can be seen in the stone wall. There was also a visible path to the slab.
Tankbugmon's Wheels Became Sharp swords and he rolled down tthe canyon side. "Sharp Roll!"Tankbugmon called out. "Idon't remember giving him that attack." Evander said. Ehen he reached the bottom the Slab was in front of him. "UNCLE!" Agumon called out.
No one responds.
However, the slab...seems to call out...to Zai...asking for her to come closer...
Zai sighed, using her wings to make down the canyon, holding Syn, so that she was screaming so loudly that Zai's ears were ringing. Even after her feet hit the ground, Syn did not stop, until she opened her eyes and looked around, then hopped out of Zai's arms, to stare vacantly at the slab.
"Cool," Syn murmered, staring at the slab, though, really, how many people would consider that cool?
Zai looked at the slab silently, and began to walk towards it.
Suddenly, a forcefield appears between Zai and Syn and the rest of the group.
"What the?!?" Guilmon yells as he begins to pound on it. Soon, the rest of the Digimon begin pounding, and so does Mario and Flora.
"It will do no good."
They stop upon hearing a new voice inside the forcefield. Looking inside, MetalTyrannomon could be seen standing in front of the slab now, between it and Zai.
Agumon runs up and hugs him. "Hi Uncle; Metal!" Agumon says. Agumon blinks for a moumant. "Hey, what's this?" He asks knocking on the forcefeild.
MetalTyrannomon looks up and is a bit shocked. "...Nephew?" he asks. He then looks at Zai. "One moment..." The forcefield now disappears, but a new one appears, but only around Zai and Syn, probably to keep them from the slab. MetalTyrannomon blinks. "Auggie, it is you! I haven't seen you since you were a Koromon!"
Um... well... I thought this was going to be kind of creepy... however, now we're just trapped here," Zai looked at Syn with an annoyed expression written on her face.
"Um? Hi? Metal-watcha-bobber?" Syn looked at Metal Tyrannomon, having forgotten the digimon's name for a moment, "is this family reunion time, or crest time?"
"Oh, yes, of course," he says, now turning back to Zai. THe original barrier reappears as the new one disappears. Now it's back to Zai, Syn, and MetalTyrannomon on one side, and everyone else on the other. "I am MetalTyrannomon, the guardian of the Rock of Balance. This rock has been keeping the weight of the canyon perfectly balanced. If it was ever removed, the entire canyon would be nothing but a huge rocky plain, rocky rubble for miles around. I suppose that you are the Child of Balance, is that right?" he asks Zai.
"Uh..." Zai coughed slightly, "I guess? My tag pointed us here, so... yeah?" she looked at Syn quickly, to see the little feline nod quickly to assure Zai that she was this 'child of balance'. "I am..." she spoke with a faint questioning tone to it.
Syn looked at MetalTyrannomon, "sooo... why did the rock want Zai if it'll make the canyon go poof if any of us broke it on accident?"
MetalTyrannomon sweatdrops. "It's the balance stone of the canyon. If it was removed, the canyon would destabilize and collapse under its weight. Would it NOT make sense that this is where they sealed the power of Balance?" He sighs. "I was kinda figuring it would be easy to understand..."
Agumon was silent. "Well I digivolved 5 days before I met my Tamer; Evander!" Agumon said pointing to Evander. Evander looked up MetalTyrannomon on his Digidex. Evander then turned to Zai. "Well when your Crest Glows Zai, BlackGatomon will Digivolve to Ladydevimon and then to Lilithmon. One of the 7 Great Demon Lords, each one stands for one of the 7Deadly sins, (or Syns :P ) Lilitmon's is Lust, Beelzemon's is Gluttony and..." Evander was cut off by Ladybugmon, who had Dedigivolved while MetalTyrannomon and Zai were Talking. "Any Digimon who goes to Digi-School learns that in 3rd Grade." Ladybugmon said. Evander looks at him funny. "Well you're going to school as soon as the Digital world is saved so how do you know that now?" Evander asked.
Ladybugmon: I look at your Digidex every now and then.
Zai completely ignored Evan's chatting, since she didn't really care what he said, "Syn's an airhead at times. I think we both understood the whole 'balance' thing after you explained that it held it up... she's being difficult..."
"Nooo, 'cause then it good go all colapsy on our heads!" Syn waved her arms in the air, "and if-"
"Anyways," Zai interrupted her digimon before Syn could get a chance to look even more idiotic, "yes, yes, we understand about the rock. Now... the barrier. Explain."
Tameron looked at the Symbol. "Crest of Balence, What kind of a Trait is that?" Tameron said to himself under his breath. "It must be someything." Meldmon said to Tameron. "Still, I might be like not too much work, nor too much play kind of thing. But I don't know much about Zai seeing as I just met her." Tameron thought.
"Ah, yes, the barrier. There two reasons for it. You see, after the last time the Digital World was thrown into peril, it was decided that the Crests would be hidden once again. However, they decided to have them better guarded. So, that's where this I come in. Being the guardian of the Rock of Balance, if you wish to get your Crest, you must defeat me with no help from anyone else but your Digimon. The second reason for this is to prove that you are worthy of taking the Crest from this sacred place." He pauses for a second. "Now, when you are ready, just tell me."
Evander: I'm Ready, or is it Zai who must face you alone cause it's her crest?
MetalTyrannomon sweatdrops again. "If I'm the guardian of the Crest of Balance and Zai's the Child of Balance, what makes you think that the challenge that will get the Child of Balance the Crest of Balance was for you?" He sighs. "...Look, I'm sorry for my behavior, but...I've been waiting for the Child of Balance for a long time...and I mean, a LONG time. About twenty of your Earth years, give or take a millinium."
Evander looks at syn and giggles. "OK, but I really think Syn's gonna lose." He says.
"This sounds so... troublesome..." Zai sighed some, staring dully at MetalTyrannomon, "who says you aren't just going to step on Syn? I mean, I think she's small enough, and you're large enough. Easy win, no? Why should I put my digimon at risk? At least I've got her."
"Please, Zai? I promise, I won't lose! It really would mean a lot if I could help the others more in fights! I mean, you said it yourself, I'm not very big! I can't do much to help like this! It really means a lot if I can get it! Say you're ready! Pleeeeaaaase!" she had crawled back onto Zai's shoulder and was screeching 'please' in her ear, but then paused for a second, to look at Evander, "I won't lose! I can't!" she shook her head wildly, making herself dizzy for a few seconds.
"Yes, Evan, please have a little faith. If you say she's going to fail, then she's going to most likely lose the fight, and you'll have been the one to plant it in her head that she didn't stand a chance... and she does... sooo.... I guess..." Zai let out a faint sigh, "wish us luck, we'll really need it to pull off this one..." she shook her head slightly, "I'm ready...."
MetalTyrannomon nods. "Then let us begin..."
Suddenly, the forcefield disappears, and everyone who was in it had vanished.
On the other end of the canyon, too far away for any of the others to see or reach in time, Zai, Syn, and MetalTyrannomon appear on a huge stone slab balanced on top of a tall, narrow rock, acting like an unstable plateau.
MetalTyrannomon quickly adjusts his weight distributation so that the rock wouldn't shift, but made sure that Zai didn't notice how unstable the rock was or his weight shift. "So, Child of Balance, are you ready to learn about your test?" he asks, smiling a little.
Evander looks around. "uhh...what just happend. Augie, is your uncle an Wizard?" Evander asked. "I think we just ended up at the end of the Canyon." Agumon said.
"I'm ready, if Syn is," Zai took a glance at Syn, who nodded some, "then, tell us about this test?"
"Rocky, rocky, rocky, rooooccck!" Syn sang aloud for a few seconds, then stopped to hear the guardian.
Mario and Flora look around.
Flora sighs. "This world gets stranger and stranger every day..." She then looks at Mario. She begins to think about his...abilities. Should he know about them? Rightfully, he should, but how would he handle it? Would he just consider them crazy? ...She needed to talk with the others on this...
MetalTyrannomon nods. "Simply put, you and I are going to battle on top of this rock. Sounds simple, right?" He smiles more. "Well, it's not. You see, balance will be a key role in this battle, because both of your lives depend on it. The rock we stand on is great unstable, and any sudden changes to the distributation of weight will cause this rock to fall off the rock spire this rock is centered upon. Defeat me without losing your balance on this rock, and you will be recognized as the True Child of Balance." He now shifts his weight a little to cause the rock to shift a little to prove his point, but the shift wasn't too major. "So...are you still ready?"
BATTLE NOW!
"So... we have to keep our feet on the rock?" Syn pointed at her feet, Zai's wings, then, for unknown reasons, Syn's ears. "It actually sounds a little easy anyways. I'm a cat. Balance is my thing... and... I'm hoping Zai is good on her feet."
"I don't think we have too big of a problem," Zai sighed, shifting her footing a little so that she could keep fully balanced when the rock was moved a little, "we're here already, you've asked many times if we were ready, and my responce is the same as my previous ones..."
He smiles. "Very well then. Nuclear Laser!" he yells as a laser pops out of his shoulder after a metal plate slides inward. The laser shoots at Zai and Syn, looking like it would sting should it connect.
"Uhhh.... Syn... are you understanding this whole weight distribution thing? Because, if there's a giant dinosaur on one end of a balancing rock, and a cat and teenage sized person on the other, why isn't the rock tilting towards hi-- oh shi-- move!" Zai had started a question, but noticing the lazer, she darted towards the side a little, in attempt to avoid being hit, and keep her balance at the same time.
"I don't know... oooh! Lazery!" Syn shouted, running to the opposite side of the slab as Zai, trying to even out the weight slightly, to help prevent Zai from falling from the slab.
"Sooo... if the weight shifted... in our favor?" Zai's eyes flickered to Syn, who instantly gained a similar idea.
"Ding, ding, I think we might have an idea, here!" Syn spoke in a childish and mischievious tone at once.
Evander Stomps on the Ground. "Darn! I Wish I could watch the Fight!" Evander said. Evander walked over to Mario. "So...uh...what do you want to do while we wait?" Evander asked.
MetalTyrannomon had heard their earlier talk. "Why do you suppose I was made the guardian of the Crest of Balance? I may be big, but I have learned how to be light on my feet and distribute my weight in ways to keep this rock from tilling. Fire Blast II!" He then fires a large fireball at Syn.
Syn looked at MetalTyrannomon, then to Zai, before suddenly hearing his attack, and darting towards Zai, but stopped where she had been at earlier, when they had started, as the slab tilted towards Zai.
Zai sighed, using her wings to keep her a little lighter on her feet, as she rushed to Syn's side, to keep the weight a little more even, "be careful... apparently, we'll have to work a little more on the whole 'weight' thing... but it may be an advantage, even if he's trained..." she spoke lightly.
BlackGatomon: Lightning Paw! Lightning Paw! Lightning Paw! Lightning Paw!
MetalTyrannomon took some Damage.
MetalTyrannomon: Nuclear Laser!
BlackGatomon took some Damage.
BlackGatomon: Cat's Eye Hypnotism!
MetalTyrannomon dodged it.
MetalTyrannomon: Fire Blast II!
BlackGatomon Dodged it.
MetalTyrannomon uses Fire Blast II again, then follows up with Nuclear Laser. He wanted them to try and dodge, keep their balance. It was for sure that he was expecting something of them, but what, it wasn't clear to see.

Mario sighs. "I don't know, Evan..."
"SECRET STASH!" Guilmon yells as he pounces on Mario.
"Ow!"
"...Palmon, what is Guilmon talking about?" Flora asks.
"Well, Guilmon secretly hid a stack of pancakes in Mario's backpack so taht he would have a stash of food should he be hungry," Palmon explains.
"I hope the syrup and berries are still good!" Guilmon says as he begins to dig around.
"YOU PUT MAPLE SYRUP IN MY BACKPACK?!?" Mario yells, now looking really angry.
"Oh yeah, he put that in there as well," Gatomon adds as if she didn't really care, but she was finding this amusing.
"FLIP IT! YOU KNEW THIS AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!?"
"Oh boy! The blueberries haven't been squished!"
"GUILMON, GET THAT FOOD OUT OF MY BACKPACK!"
"...Should we help?" Agumon asks Flora.
"...This might be amusing...but yes, we should."
Silence.
"...Well, are we going to help him?"
"I never said when."
"FLIP IT! YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF DESERTERS!"
Evander couldn't helpbut giggle at the Sitcom lke situaton. "I Want some. GIMMIE!" Ladybugmon yelled pushing Guilmon out of the way. "Ungh!"
Agumon andTerriermon were trying toget dome as well.
Jessica looks at Leormon. "It seems as if getting the Crests are going to be just a little Differently then on the Anime." Jessica said. Leormon was scratching his head with his right hind foot, then he looked at Jessica. "Well it looks like we're going to get a little battle break." Leormon says. Jessica looked at Evander who was pouting because he couldn't watch the fight. "I don't think Evander is going to like that very well though." Jessica said.

"Ooooh... hey, is that legal?" Syn pointed at the laser and Fireblast with a vacant look.
"You idiot! Move!" Zai shouted, grabbing Syn's paw, and pulling them down close to the rock, as she shifted her out of the way, "just don't shift too much with the rock, push your weight the opposite way that this is tilting down..."
"M...kay..." Syn mumbled, trying not to get hurt.
MetalTyrannomon continues to use Nuclear Lasers and Fire Blast IIs, but is slowly moving closer to Zai and Syn.

"I SAID...GET OFF!" Mario yells.
Suddenly, his eyes go blank. His screams stop.
It was the same way he was the night before when Parrotmon attacked. Could the dragon be coming out?
Flora sees this and freezes. "...Oh flip..."
Evander starts to get scared again but this time hides it so that noone would Dark Digivolve. Even though it would need to be extreeme fear for a Dark Digivolution to happen. Jessica doesn't see because she's playing tag with her 3 Digimon.

"Frig..." Syn mumbled out, "one last shot?" she whispered softly, with Zai nodding a little. "Running?" Syn questioned, to make sure the same idea planted in their heads.
Within a few moments, Zai was standing up, and walked towards the attacks, hopping back repeatedly to keep out of the line of fire. She could probably be hurt less, since the heat wouldn't kill her as easily, she figured.
Syn, however, had a different plan, and started darting towards Metal Tyrannomon, further on the other side of the slab than Zai, to keep it even. She was short, so she was hoping he's keep his attention more on Zai, who was taller, making him, hopefully have the attacks at a high enough range she could skid beneath the attacks that would really hurt, and tried to strike at least once before they lost, or she could get hit, but wasn't sure how it would turn out, "lightning paw!"
MetalTyrannomon, somehow, blocks the attack with his metal-covered arm. He does seem to take damage, however, seeing that he recoiled a little. It might be because there was some electricity in that attack that was conducted by MetalTyrannomon's metal covering.
Back at the slab, Mario seems to clench up in his trance.
Guilmon is silent before getting off him, slowly backing away. "...Is he...?"
"...I think...he is..." Gatomon responds.
"...He's transforming..." Palmon says.
Then it truly begins as his skin turns red, and the transformation undergoes.
Evander gathers courage and goes and does a Tibetan teckneek that makes the person fall unconscious if pinched in the right place. Evander pinched his wing.
Zai sighed, walking to the middle of the platform, think... think... how do we win? she thought of something. The unbalancing. He said we had to balance on this rock... but this rock is touching another, so it could still be considered, by some, this rock... so... if we could get him to fall... she moved a few steps towards Metal Tyrannomon, to get the rock to shift down towards him a little, "Syn, aim your attack at this part of the platform..." she grumbled, keeping her feet sturdy on the rock, "the force may send it down just enough..." she sighed.
((Let's Kick it up plays in background.))
"W-what? Insane moment?" Syn shouted.
"Do it, and come right back here!" Zai snapped.
Syn nodded a little, huffing, as she landed on the ground, and quickly jumped in the air as high as she could, "lightning kick!" she shouted, aiming straight at the ground, in case the rock hadn't tilted enough when Zai had walked closer. The second she would hit the ground was the second she was going to dart into Zai's arms and start screaming.
Zai's idea was a little odd. They had to make it to the rock spire before they could fall with the platform, which would have to be sheer luck and speed, if the idea even worked.
The rock begins to tilt dangerously. Soon, it reaches the point of no return.
MetalTyrannomon is a bit surprised, but he is too late to change the balance. Of course, it was suicide, what Zai did. But then again, she could have a plan. He couldn't help but smile as the rock fell away, and him with it.
What Evan did indeed did something, but instead of knocking Mario out...it made him angrier.
In a second, he roars loudly and tries to take a snap at Evan.
Evander just punches him in the Chin. "Bad Dragon! I'm Not afraid of you anymore!" Evander fussed.
Jessica: Guys Digivolve, just keep him buisy untill he turns back into a human.
Evander and Jessica: Digi-Modify! Matrix Digivolution activate!

Zai felt the rock tipping, just as Syn lept into her arms, she spun away, and started darting to the other end of the rock, that was tilted up a little. "Hold on," she muttered to Syn, who had started screaming like a baby that couldn't get something it wanted.
Zai's eyes narrowed a little as she jumped from the platform, her eyes on the rock spire. Her wings spread slightly, to prevent her from falling quickly, as she reached the spire, trying to keep on it. (if she made it, it's sort of up to Mario if she reaches the spire...)
Mario, in a matter of seconds, manages to dodge every attack thrown at him. He then finds himself a target and the lunges at it.
Flora.
Flora is like a deer in headlights, but she soon recovers. She was thinking, it seemed, weighting her options. Suddenly, she darts at Mario, poised to attack him, like he was to her.
"FLORA!" Palmon and Gatomon yell.
Zai manages to land perfectly on the rock spire.
The rock platform hits the ground below, shattering upon impact, but there was no sign of MetalTyrannomon.
Uhn...? Huh?" Zai let out a soft sigh, trying to look down without losing her balance, but couldn't see MetalTyrannomon.
"Hnn...hnnn...." was the only sound Syn could emit, after realizing they weren't falling, and her throat hurt from screaming.
Suddenly, Zai and Syn find themselves among the rubble of the destroyed rock platform after a flash of light. A figure was behind them. It was MetalTyrannomon, and he didn't look happy.
Gatomon and Palmon were wide-eyed.
Guilmon and Agumon's jaws had dropped.
When Flora and Mario charged at each other, they didn't expect to see what had happened.
Right when Mario was about to slash Flora...
She hugged him.
For about five minutes, it was like this. Flora was slowly tearing up, hugging Mario. Mario just looked really confused, but for now he seemed to have been calmed.

They Attacked before he hugged her. Evander rolled his Wheelchair in the Way of the attacks. Evander get's blasted aside and into the Canyon wall which shatters a bit and Rocks come tumbling down about to crush Evander. "EVAN!!!!" Everyone screamed.
Suddenly, Mario's eyes flash, turning from red to about his normal eyes. He then pulls away from Flora and in an instant plucks Evan from his wheelchair before the rocks came down.
Mario lands not too far away, but then collapses after setting Evan down. He doesn't revert back, even though he looked out of it now.
Evander was struggling to get up but Attacks from 6 Ultimates and 1 Champion proved to be too much and he got knocked out.
The Digimon, Jessica and Tameron ran over to Evander. Tameron and Jessica were tearing up as well as the Digimon.
"d**n! We should've waited before we attacked!" MetalGreymon said.
"I know, We're the worst partner Digimon in existence!" Tankbugmon yelled.
"Speak to us Evan speak to us!" Jessica yelled. Tameron put his Head on Evander's Chest and noticed that he was still breathing. "He's still alive, but he won't survive if we don't get him to a hospital in File City." Tameron said. Jessica looked down.
"Evan, why do you always seem to find a way to injur yourself." Jessica said. MetalGreymon picked Evander up. "No, Herbs and 2 days at My House might help. I'll go tell my Mother right now!" Metalgreymon said flying toward the house. "Come on Evander, hang in there. You have always seem to overcome death before." MetalGreymon thought remembering the times like, Hornetmon's attack, Shellmon's Meteor, and Tyrannomon and He Devolved to koromon and was at the doorstep. "Bubble Blow!" He attacked the door because he couldn't knock on it.
Zai and Syn blinked, noticing the rubble. Zai, having spotted the look on Metal Tyrannomon's face, bit her lower lip slightly, before opening her mouth to speak but, unlike her usual dull/upset tone, it was a little softer, "...we stayed on the rock... is that what you expected from the child of balance, or no?"
Syn kept silent, but a grin formed on her face for a moment, "we soooo won..." she murmered, really softly, since she seemed to have temporarily lost her voice.
Greymon answers the door and is shocked by what she sees. "Oh no! Another injury?" she asks. "Just what did you do now?"
In the canyon, Flora rushes to Mario. He was only sleeping, but something had definitely happened. Did he...actually save Evan?
She looks at the others. "...Maybe...when Mario reverts back and wakes up...we should tell him about...his......abilities..."
Silence.
Then MetalTyrannomon bursts out laughing. "Oh ho ho! That was more than I expected! You passed with flying colors, but before we head back, perhaps I should tell you what the point of this test really was."
"Wait... what? That wasn't the actual point of the test?" Zai sighed a little, somewhat confused, and a little tired from hopping around on something she had to balance on, "...yeah, it would be nice if we knew..."
Syn's jaw dropped, "we did that for nothing, didn't we...?"
Koromon starts to cry. "Freindly fire...from 6 Ultimates and a Champion, he needs needs healing herbs immediately!" Koromon yelled.
"Could you take him up to my bedroom and put him on my bed please, I would but I'm at my In-Training stage." Koromon said.
"Well, it WAS about balance, but not the type of balance you were thinking of. It wasn't a test of your ability to keep your center of balance. It was to test your balance of abilities and skills. Today, you used wits, agility, and defensive maneuvers among many other things, and that shows that you have a well-balanced character. That was the purpose of this test, and you have proven yourself to be the Child of Balance," MetalTyrannomon says.
"Oh dear..." Greymon quickly takes Evan inside.
"Oh my, what happened?" Tyrannomon asks. Apparently, he woke up after the group left. Allomon was also there, sitting on the couch, where he watched the scene unfold.
BATTLE OVER!
Jessica nodded. "OK, we'll tell him. I hope he belives us." Jessica said.
Allomon decides to help and helps Greymon in the kitchen with retreiving medical items. Tyrannomon quickly gets up and takes Evan to the bedroom.
"So... we still did that... and could have almost died... for practically nothing?!" Syn tried to shout, but the second her voice rose, it squeaked a little, and turned into a whisper.
"..Well... that could describe the faint headache..." Zai mumbled, "so... now what? Do we return to where we started, or is there something else that we didn't know about, or something of the sort?"
"Oh, but of course we will return to where the Rock of Balance is. It is there that you will absorb the Crest of Balance from the rock." Another forcefield appears around the group, and they warp once more, appearing just in time to see Flora rush to Mario's side as a dragon.
Evander's Digimon come into the bedroom and look worried.
Tankbugmon pulls the Wheelchair and Puts it back in the Bedroom. All of Evander's Digimon are now with him. Jessica and Tameron had also went back into the house. Jessica and Tameron were in the living room while Evander's Digimon sat in Augie's Bedroom waiting for him to heal.
Everyone devolves to In-Training.
"Rocky, Rocky!" Syn tried to shout, but as they reappeared by the rock, she had a dizzy look on her face, "can't you give us a warning before we do that?"
Zai looked over towards Mario, then Flora, "okay... we missed something big here, didn't we?" she sighed a little, then looked at MetalTyrannomon, "wait... did you say 'absorb'?"
"I meant that it will collect the Crest," he adds before looking at Mario and Flora. "Well...this is not what I expected either..."
Flora looks at Zai. "Mario got angry when Guilmon put pancakes and syrup in his backpack. So angry, he transformed into a dragon again...but...it was...different this time...after I managed to calm him down, he then saved Evan..." She was apparently not sure what to do.
One thing was certain, though. Mario looked very tranquil with his head on Flora's knee.
"Okay..." Zai murmered, taking a glance at MetalTyrannomon, before to Flora and Mario, "pancakes? What type of idiot would put pancakes in somebody's... uhn..." she shook her head, not bothering to finish her question. Guilmon was a genius. To do something that stupid. "Well, he seems to be rather peaceful, and probably comfortable, there, so you shouldn't worry too much for right now... trying to explain what happened when he 'blanked out' is going to be the thing you should worry about right now..."
"Pancakes?" Syn blinked, looking around, then sighed, not seeing pancakes.
Mario's backpack was nearby, and pancakes were hanging out of it, and so were some berries. A syrup could definitely be distinguished.
MetalTyrannomon turns to Zai. "Zai...it is time. Step before the Rock of Balance."
Finally, Syn had spotted what she had heard. "Pancaaaaakes!" she cried out, waving her arms a little to try to get the pancakes, but hearing MetalTyrannomon, she seemed to instantly forget the gooey syrupy goodness she had seen seconds before, and hopped out of Zai's arms, deciding that clinging to her leg was a better idea, since her foot moved. Like an amusement park ride! Just... less air, and thrill, and three-hundred sixty degree loops.
Zai blinked some, and nodded, "alright..." she murmered lightly, and stepped towards the rock that was known as the 'rock of balance' by the digimon.
For a few seconds, nothing happens. Then, the Rock glows. A strange symbol appears on the rock, which appeared to be a balanced scale. The symbol glows red before shrinking down a lot. The symbol then flies to Zai's Tag as it finishes changing. The tiny plate that had formed around the symbol now slides into its slot in Zai's Tag, flashing once more before going to rest at last.
Zai had gotten the Crest of Balance.
A light then shines around Syn, and in an instant, she is filled with a great energy.
CREST DIGIVOLUTION
Evander's Goggles Appeared to be shatterd from the crash, but Koromon knew how much those Goggles meant to him so he went into his Closet and got some Sqwear ones.
Syn let go of Zai's leg, feeling weird. Like... fuzzy weird. "Uh?" she made a questioning sound.
"BlackGatomon digivolve to... Lady Devimon."
Zai looked at her tag, now holding a crest, then looked at Syn as she felt the, no longer little cat, digimon clinging to her. "...Whoa... is... that part normal?" she seemed to be questioning anyone that could answer her.
"This is different..." Syn blinked some, and looked at her arms, "weird..."
MetalTyrannomon smiles. "That is the power of the Crest of Balance. You see, when you first receive a Crest, the owner's Digimon are filled with a lot of energy, allowing them to digivolve into their Ultimate form immediately. It's a pretty nice bonus that was added."
Flora is a bit shocked. "Wow...so that's LadyDevimon..."
Suddenly, she feels Mario move a little. He was beginning to wake up.
Flora notices and looks at him. "Hey! He's waking up!"
Bedmon went and got some bandeges and wrapped them around his head. "Please wake up soon." Bedmon whimpers.
"Uh... I feel all... weird..." Syn mumbled. She was used to being the size of a cat, which was smaller than this. She turned to look towards Mario, and blinked a few times.
"Lets hope he's still going to be calm when he gets up," Zai said, and nodded a little at MetalTyrannomon's explaination to why Syn had digivolved.
After a few seconds, Mario's eyes slowly open, blink a little, and then close. He then groans. "Oh...my head..." he says in his normal voice.
Flora and the Digimon were shocked. Could it be?!? Mario had regained control, but while he was still a dragon?!?
A half Hour Later Evander slowly opens his eyes. "Uhh...what happend, the last thing I remember was Mario turning into a Dragon again and then everyone tries to attack him, I got in front of the Attacks and then I ended up here." Evander said. Evander gets up and sees that his Wheelchair is right beside the bed.
Bedmon: Hi, I'm Glad that your not dead. Tyrannomon will be here any muinet.
Evander: Uhh...yeah..me too.
Evander had bandeges wrapped around his head.
Evander looks over to his goggles and is shocked. "Well, there goes another pair. " Evander said. Koromon hopped on the bed and has the Sqwear Goggles wrapped around one of his ears.
Koromon: I got you some new goggles....well no they aren't exaclty new but they aren't broken and they just now came out of the package. I just never used them.
Evander teared up and he hugged Koromon. "I love you Koromon!" Evander said.
Koromon: You'll be ok, you just got the wind knocked out of you. Plus being knocked back has healed your feet too.
Bedmon: We're sorry we attacked without thinking.
Evander: Hey, it was my fault that I got in the way of the attacks.
Gummymon: Wow, you really meant what you said about getting in the way of attacks for your freinds.
Evander blinked. "Yeah, I did. But what what happend to Mario?" Evander asked. Bedmon coverd up with a blanket and layed down on a pillow. "He saved you." Bedmon said.
Tyrannomon soon returns with the medicene. "Sorry it took so long. It turns out that I had to run to the market to get more herbs." He then sets a tray down, showing a very delicious-looknig lunch.
Evander looks at the food. "That looks yummy." Evander said.
"Uhm... Mario, are you feeling okay?" Zai questioned, curious on if he realized how he looked.
"Whoo! My arms can do this!" LadyDevimon began waving her arms around, then stopped, "well... I feel... akward..." she murmered after a short pause,
"Who is that?" he mutters from his position, still waking up. "Was that Zai?"
"Mario!" Flora yells as she hugs Mario. "You're back!"
"Back?" he asks as he tries to push himself up from the ground. Something felt different, but he couldn't really tell at the moment what exactly. "Back from where?"
Flora is silent. She didn't know how to break it to him. He would find out any second now, so they would have an easier time helping him ease into it...hopefully.
Evander takes the medicine and is soon feeling better. "Wow, I feel alot better." Evander said
Evander walks into the Living room with the others. "Don't worry, I'm healed now, Only 3 attacks hit me. if they all hit me I would've died no doubt. So are we going to find the next crest?" Evander said.
Jessica ran up and hugged him. "I'm glad that you are ok. Oh, and to what you just said, as soon as someone's tag glows. I'm worried about the others though, I hope that they get back soon." Jessica said.
Tameron nodded. "OK, I'll go check on them." Tameron said. Tameron and Meldmon took off to the Ridge. Meldmon help Tameron down the Canyon side. "Hey, what's happening?" Tameron asked when he got there.
"No, I'm a flying penguin here from fairy land to grant you a wish," Zai sighed, shaking her head, then looking at Flora.
"Tell him to look at his reflection in something, perhaps a syrupy mirror if he has one? I know I'd love to see how creepy I probably look right now!" Syn looked at Flora, as if figuring what she was thinking, or she wanted to just scare the life out of Mario...
Meldmon looked up at syn. "hello sexy!" He said. Tameron looked around. "Where's the Penguin!? Where!?" He asked.
Mario is confused. "My...reflection? Why? Did someone draw on my face?" He brings his hand to his face to see if he could rub off any marker, if there was any. He froze.
What he saw was a red, scaly hand with ivory claws.
"...Wha...What the...?" he studders as he looks at his other hand. He then notices how different he felt. Bringing his hand closer to his face, he then felt his snout. He then begins to feel his entire body for other changes. A few seconds later, he finds the tail, which he can actually feel being touched by his own hands. As he continues, he finds the wings, which soon fold up around his torso as he finishes his search. "...What...what have I become?" he asks, tears in his eyes.
"...Mario?" Flora asks. "...It...will be alright..." Truthfully, she wasn't sure if he would be alright. He seemed to be taking it hard.
