Episode 15: A Word Of Digivice!

Evander and the crew were walking toward a Beach. "Well, now what are we going to do?" Ladybugmon asked. Agumon, who was walking beside him looked at Ladybugmon quizzically. "We have to keep searching for Yukio. Although, what we have to do and what we want to do are two different things. Seadramon woke us all up pretty early. I'd like to take a nap." Agumon said. Ladybugmon shook his head. "tsk, tsk, tsk, I can't believe one of the simple pleasures were interrupted again by a Digimon." Ladybugmon replied. Evander looked back at the Digimon and started thinking about a rest stop. "Wel,l guys we can stop near the beach if you'd like." Evander said. "Oh, Ok." Ladybugmon replied. Terriermon looked at Jessica. He was sitting on Evander's shoulder as usual. That was his favorite spot. Then he turned and put his mouth near Evander's ear and whispered "Jessica might need a rest too. You ought to think about that now that you're boyfriend and girlfriend"

Zaiaku had merely followed Syn, who had insisted to follow the other digidestined, and digimon. So fun. Not.

"Zai... my paws hurt..." the BlackGatomon's eyes flickered to Zai, with a slight whine in her voice.

Zai shook her head slightly, picking up Syn, but kept silent.

Evander started sweating. "OOHHHH......it's.....so, hot!" Evander moaned. Somehow the heat and humidity drastically changed. It wasn't normal. Dragon Eye Lake wasn't that far from the beach. The temperature here should be the temperature there. But, then again, this is the Digital World. Things that would make sense in the real world don't always have to apply here. Jessica fell to the ground. "Jessica!" Evander yelled shocked. Evander ran over to Jessica who had fallen on her butt. Evander was worried that she might have collapsed from heat exhaustion. Jessica wasn't unconsious, but she did look miserable. She was drenched in sweat and moaning. "You'd think that living in South Carolina since age 5, I'd be used to this heat." Jessica said. Evander knew that he needed to cool her off. He cared about getting her cooled off first before him. "is Jessica OK?" Agumon asked. "No, she needs to get cooled off." Evander said. Jessica frowned. She hated that she was slowing everyone up again. Agumon looked around. "Umm...where's Zai and Syn?" Agumon asked. "Who knows, she's kind of strange if you ask me." Evander replied. "No one did." Agumon said. Evander looked over to the ocean water. "JESSICA! I'LL GET YOU TO THE WATER! DON'T WORRY!" Evander yelled. Why he was yelling so loud, no one knew.

Terriermon cringed severely. He rubbed his two bunny ears and looked to be in pain. "Hey, these giant ears of mine are sensitive! Don't be so loud!" Terriermon said. Terriermon was sitting on Evander's shoulder, so he was really close when Evander began shouting. They went to the beach. Jessica removed her shirt and pants again, revealing a light blue bikini top and dark blue Aqualian loin cloth (which is really just a skirt). Jessica ran into the ocean and turned her legs into a mermaid tail. Evander watched Jessica as her mermaid tail bobbed up and down in the water. Jessica smiled, like a look of relief had just washed over her. "This cold water feels so good." Jessica said from just underneath the water's surface.

Zai had been only a short distance from the group, and heard what they had been saying, and sighed softly, "Strange, huh? He should look in a mirror..."

Syn had fallen asleep only seconds after being picked up, proving to be rather tired.

She sighed, seemingly appearing by Evander, but once again, had merely gone unnoticed. Her eyes were shut, but her hand was balled in a fist, aiming down at Evander's head.

"OW!!!!!!!" Evander yelled before turning around. "WHO'S THE WISE GUY WHO PUNCHED ME!?" Evander yelled. He had a fist clenched and a scowl on his face. When he turned, he saw Zai. Evander rubbed his head where Zai had hit him. "Oh, it's just Zai again, WOW you hit like a girl, which in measure is about like dropping a planet on someone's head." Evander said. PawnChessmon looked around panicked when Evander yelled. "Is it a Digimon!?" He exclaimed.

Zai smirked some, "and our lesson today is, don't call somebody strange in earshot. Especially when violence where they're from is a good thing..."

"Technically, it's Wise Girl. Not Guy...." Syn murmured lazily, as she cracked an eye open, glancing towards PawnChessmon, "no, it's not. Just a Fallen Angel hitting a Human on the head..."

Ladybugmon, Agumon, and Gabumon took a nap. Well, a really short one. They tried to take a nap, but then Evander yelled and woke them up just as they were dozing off. Ladybugmon, Agumon, and Gabumon looked over to Evander and glared at him angrily. Evander smiled nervously and sweat dropped. He gestured over towards Zai and said "Umm...Look it's Zai!"

"We already know that. We have eyes, you know." Ladybugmon said, sounding irritated that Evander had woken them up from their nap.

Agumon laid back down on the sand. "As a reptillian Digimon, I can take the heat pretty well. You guys can go take a dip to cool off if you want. I'll stay here and nap." Agumon said.

Evander wiped some sweat from his brow and sighed. "Yeah I'll do that. I can't wait to get in there, it's HOT out here." Evander said. "Zai can go first." Agumon said. "Great." Evander said.

Zai sighed some, and shook her head, "I think I'll pass this time..." she was resisting the urge to push Evander in, but inched away from the water, to prevent anyone from getting that idea themselves.

Syn sat in Zai's arms, staring, "cat.... plus water... equals... Error... Error..." her last two words mimicked a computer voice.

Ladybugmon looked over to Syn. "Come on....you got in there last time when you were Nyaromon."

Evander slipped behind a tree and changed into his black briefs, which he had previously stuck in his pocket since they were wet from swimming in the lake the day before. It wasn't like they had packed swimwear or anything. The digidestined swam in their underwear instead. Evander ran toward the water and when he was far enough, out he jumped in there. "WHOO HOO!!!!!" Evander yelled.

Syn sighed, slipping towards the water, but careful not to get in it.

Zai seemed to disappear, once again being unnoticed at departure, soon after to return, picking up Syn, who let out a slight 'mew' when she realized Zai was in her underwear. Zai's bikini top and panties were made of a special kind of material that could only be found on Devilis. Clothing from other planets had a tendency to burst into flames easily.

"Z-Zai... what are you doing?" Syn whined slightly, squirming nervously.

"Making you get in the water, whether you like it or not..." Zai smirked some, walking into the water, with Syn clinging to her arm.

Ladybugmon was swimming at high speed. "WEE!!" Ladybugmon yelled. "I can finally swim!"

Evander looked at Zaiku. "Those to act like sisters the way they get along." Evander thought. Evander looked over to Ladybugmon. "Do you want to have a swimming race?" Evander asked. "You bet ya." Ladybugmon replied. So they started racing up and down the shore. Jessica walked up to Zaiku. "Umm...Zai?" she asked.

Syn stopped whining, her ears drooping at the sight of water, "evil water... water baaaaad for Syn..."

Zai blinked some, and looked at Jessica, "what?"

"Thank you...Again for the boost of courage to tell Evander my feelings for him." Jessica said.

Evander put his hand on a rock to show that he won. "I won!" Evander bragged. "Aww." Ladybugmon whined. Evander patted Ladybugmon on the head. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get better at it." Evander said. Evander got up and walked toward the beach spot. Evander suddenly stepped on something. He picked it up and it was a Gesomon card. "Huh? Well, well well, Gesomon what I found?" Evander said with a Rim Shot.

Zai nodded slightly, "yeah... don't mention it..." her eyes flickered towards Evander.

"Don't try to be funny, Evander," Syn sighed some, shaking her head, "you probably dropped the card yourself, figuring that digimon don't own digimon cards..."

Evander looked towards Zai. "No, I didn't. In fact I do have one of these on Earth but I don't have it with me." Evander said. Evander put the card in his case. "Finders, keepers." he said. He was telling the truth. He didn't have a Gesomon card on him prior to this moment. But he hadn't seen Zai or Flora use modify cards. Digimon probably didn't exist as a franchise on their planets, so despite the D-Power having the capability to transfer effects of modify cards from the Digimon TCG, Zai and Flora probably didn't have any to use. Mario probably did, but he had only engaged in a single battle so far; their first one against the Pagumon rioters. Who could have dropped this card? Maybe it was Jessica. Or maybe it was another digidestined they hadn't even met yet. Evander put it out of his thoughts and slid his goggles over his eyes. Evander then turned around and went back into the ocean.

Jessica got a mischievous grin on her face. She elbowed Zai and said, "Hey Zai when Evander comes back up let's dunk him."

Zai shrugged. She didn't care that Evander found a card, it wasn't of any use to her, if it disintegrated the second she got on her planet.

Syn blinked some, releasing her grip on Zai, and swimming around, her gloves slowing her a little.

"Alright..." Zai smirked slightly, glancing at Jessica.

Evander came up from under. "Spleh!" Evander said. Jessica walked over to him. "1...2...3....and go!" Jessica said. Jessica and Zai both pushed down on vander's head and sent him back into the water. Evander flailed for a few seconds while Jessica and Zai held him under. Some bubbles could be seen coming up to the surface. They both let go as to avoid drowning him.

Evander came up and pushed Jessica into the water. "Hey!" Jessica yelled. "I'm gonna get you!" she yelled, chasing Evander. Well they started rolling around.

Jessica made her legs turn into a mermaid tail and chased Evander through the water. When she caught up to him, she grabbed him and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

After some time had passed, Evander and his Digimon went to lie down on the sand to take a nap, since the Seadramon at Dragon Eye Lake had deprived them of a good night's sleep the night before.

Jessica started to bury Evander in the sand. Evander laid there while a gentle breeze blew over him.

Suddenly, some distance away, something bursts out of the water. After it does, it is visibly a Shellmon. It swims toward the beach where the group is, but not right at the group. It swims toward a place farther up the beach and then pulls itself onto the beach. After pulling itself up so far, it lies down, closing its eyes and seeming to sleep. Perhaps the Shellmon had simply came onto the beach to rest.

Jessica bolted up. She was alarmed initially, but when the Shellmon went for a nap, she sighed. Perhaps this Digimon wasn't hostile as she initially assumed. "That's great, Jessica. Now you're paranoid. Not every Digimon in this world is out to get you." She said to herself. The tween mermaid stretched and yawned. "I think Shellmon has the right idea." She then said as she rubbed her eyelids.

Gabumon started digging in the sand. "Diga diaga diga diga dig!" he sang as his claws dug through the beach's sand. Suddenly, Gabumon spotted something. It was a modify card. Gabumon looked over to Jessica and said, "Hey, I found a Card that has a blue flame on it." Jessica ran over to pick it up. "This one's mine since Evander got the last one." Jessicas said.

Pawnchessmon looked over at Gabumon and Jessica. How strange. Another modify card. PawnChessmon's stomach started growling. He looked around to see if there were any trees bearing fruit in this area. He knew this area pretty well and knew that fruit trees were abundant. The Digimon who lived here would often eat from them. He saw a tree with some bananas dangling from them. It was up too high for him to reach. He would have to use his head. "Chess strike!" he tried to strike a tree with bananas and while his spear hit the bananas and caused them to fall as he intended, the bananas fell onto Shellmon's head. PawnChessmon hadn't realized he gotten this close to the aquatic Digimon.

"Oopsy poopsy. sorry." PawnChesmon said. "oopsy.....poopsy.....?" Jessica asked almost laughing.

The Shellmon stirs from the strike. It then opens one eye. "Could you please be a bit more careful? I'm trying to sunbathe." It then closes its eyes and goes back to sleep.

PawnChessmon says "Yes, I'm sorry."

Jessica shook Evander a little to get him up. "Honey....wake up." She said. she then kissed him right on the lips. "Wow! that's a nice way to wake up!" Evander said.

Evander got up. "OK, I'm glad your not some cranky Digimon who wants to fight us. We've been running into a lot of them." Evander said.

Zai had gotten out of the water, carrying a drenched black feline... or so it seemed. Syn looked soaked, her ears drooping a little, being brought in Zai's arms.

"Bleck... too much water...." Syn whined, rolling onto her back, while in her arms, "my fur is soaked... and I don't think I'll ever get all of the water out of my ears!"

"You whine too much..." Zai sighed some, shaking her head.

Evander layed down. He saw some Airdramon flying overhead, there had to be 4 or 5 of them. "Hmm, Look Airdramon. I wonder where they are going. This is my 4rth day in the Digital world." Evander thought. Evander raised his arm while he was lying down and pointed at the Airdramon in the sky. "Hey Zai, look at the Airdramon!" Evander said. "Ohh...cool." Agumon said, laying down with Evander.

The Airdramon pass overhead, not even stopping.

However, they were meant as a distraction.

Hidden some short distance away in some of the bushes was a Lopmon, looking a bit miserable. "Oh, I can't believe that she has me do this..." she whispers softly before taking a red stone with an indent resembling a Digivice out of the small bag she brought. After a few seconds to make sure she wouldn't be noticed, the Lopmon chucks the stone at Shellmon before picking up her bag and discreetly leaving.

The stone hits Shellmon on its right arm, just above the elbow. Upon contact, the stone goes from red to gray, the red travelling onto Shellmon's arm and shapeshifting into a Digivice mark. Shellmon suddenly screams, looking in intense pain as this happens. Suddenly, he stops and just lies there, as if unconscious. Suddenly, his eyes open, flashing red for a second. He gets up and looks at the group, roaring before pulling himself swiftly into the water.

Evander and the others all stood up and faced Shellmon with astonished looks on their faces. "Shellmon are you alright!?" Evander asked. "Did someone attack you!?" Agumon asked. The Digimon, Evander, Jessica, and Zai watched Shellmon as he disappeared into the ocean. "I hope that he's OK." Gabumon said. "Me too." Agumon replied.

BATTLE NOW!

Zai watched the Airdramon for a few moments, before hearing the Shellmon, and jumped a little, looking over to the digimon.

"What just happened? Is he mad about something? Maybe we were too noisy?" Syn blinked some.

Suddenly, Shellmon shoots up out of the water, flying into the air and seemingly in his shell. "Slamming Attack!" he yells as he comes flying down, but in the ocean and not anywhere near the group. However, this kicked up a pretty good-sized tidal wave that was heading for the group!

Jessica and the group yelled as they got soaked. "Guys, I think that this is just like that Seadramon crisis." Jessica said. Evander looked to his Digimon. "guys, you know what to do." Evander said. "Right." They said, giving Evander a knowing nod.

"Nova Blast!" Greymon shouted as he shot a huge ball of fire out of his mouth.

"Sonic Boom!" BoxerInsectmon shouted as he flapped his wings and sent powerful, sharp, compressed slices of air out of his wings.

"Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon shouted, firing the gatling guns on his arms and shooting a plethora of bullets at Shellmon.

"Fist of the Beast King!" Leomon shouted as he punched the air, causing a stream of red and orange energy in the shape of a lion's face to come out of his fist.

"Wheel Dash!" Gladimon shouted as he spun around with his sword extended, going towards the enemy like a rolling ball.

"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted before sending a large stream of blue flames at the opponent.

Shellmon withdraws into its shell, all of the attacks striking but leaving no marks. "Aqua Blaster!" Shellmon yells after coming out of its shell, releasing a jet of water at the group.

Everyone dodged the Attack. "MEGA BURST!!!!" Greymon attacked with powerful raging stream of white fire. Shellmon once again withdrew into his shell. Greymon's Mega Burst hit Shellmon's shell, protecting Shellmon from harm. "What's wrong with you Shellmon?" Jessica asked with a worried look on her face.

Zai and Syn quickly slipped out of the way of the attack, "Think you can help, Syn?" Zai's eyes flickered to the, still soaked, feline digimon.

"But there's water!" Syn whined lowly, "Get me an inner tube, and I'll throw it at the digimon!"

"Sonic Boom!" BoxerInsectmon shouted as he flapped his wings and sent powerful, sharp, compressed slices of air out of his wings.

"Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon shouted, firing the gatling guns on his arms and shooting a plethora of bullets at Shellmon.

Shellmon withdraws into its shell again to avoid damage. However, as it is coming out, it hears what BlackGatomon says and looks right at it. "Aqua Blaster!" A jet of water flies at BlackGatomon.

Zai looked towards the attack, then Syn, moving to cover her digimon, and take the hit herself, since Syn had frozen in place from surprise.

Syn shook her head slightly, noticing Zai was going to take the hit, her eyes flickered to the other digimon, "Attack while it's attacking somebody else!"

Evander ran over to the attack and covered Zai.

Gladimon looked over to BlackGatomon and said, "You got it." Then he took his swords and began spinning and flying towards the opponent. "Wheel Dash!" Gladimon shouted. Gladimon was traveling towards Shellmon at such a high speed that he looked like a silver blurr.

"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted as he shot another large stream of blue flames out of his mouth.

Shellmon once again withdraws into its shell, which is incredible since it did it so fast. It was a speed a Shellmon could never normally accomplish. As it pops back out of its shell, the red mark is seen on its right arm, just above the elbow. "Aqua Blaster!" Shellmon yells as it launches yet another water jet.

Boxerincectmon flies up to Shellmon. "Rapid Punches!" He shouted, unleashing a flurry of punches at the red mark. BoxerInsectmon punched the red mark 300 times in 30 seconds!

Syn walked away from where Zai and Evander were, and looked towards Shellmon, "You're a chickenmon, rather than a Shellmon! Hiding in that shell and attacking from a distance!"

Zai looked at Evander who had shoved them both out of the way of the attack, "...you're going to get hurt if you get in the way of attacks to protect somebody..."

Evader got up and looked at Zai. "That's what a friend does." he said with a weak smile and a thumbs up.

"Hn..." Zai shut her eyes for a few moments, her face expressionless, "I don't have any friends..." her voice spoke without emotion, as she opened her eyes, and looked at Syn, "it's only me and my digimon. That's all I need..." she sounded dead serious, "I didn't have real friends on Devilis, so I don't have them here. It's the fate of anyone on my world. And if I did have a friend, I wouldn't be able to even tell... would I?"

"Well Syn's your friend isn't she?" Evander asked.

Greymon ran toward Shellmon. "Claw Swipe!" He shouted as he swiped at Shellmon with his claw, hence the name of the attack. Shellmon hadn't come out of his shell to attack again. Greymon's claws hit his shell and did no damage.

"She's my partner, not my friend, nothing more, nothing less. We both know that. It's fated that I don't have friends. Fallen angels don't make good friends. Trust me, I am one," Zai's eyes flickered to her digimon. The thing was, was she denying that she was friends with her digimon, or was it truly merely a partner-relationship?

Syn's tail twitched, as she cringed some, "water... I hate you... water...."

Evander looked at his digimon. He was friends with his. "You lonely creature..." he mumbled.

"What was that?" Zai's eyes flickered to Evan, her eyes mixed with hate and sorrow. Nobody could really tell with her eyes what she was thinking. She was either thinking of killing somebody, or herself, probably, figuring with her. "I don't know the meaning of friends, so apparently, I don't need them..." she shrugged some.

Syn was just tapping her foot on the ground, and letting out a whining mew every few minutes.

Evander sat down and watched the fight. "Oh...OK." Evander said. He didn't mean to offend her. Although in hindsight, he could see how condescending he sounded.

Zai sighed some, picking up Syn, "you can fight a Seadramon, but not a Shellmon..." she shook her head, and walked over to Evander, "I do owe you, now, since you blocked that attack... so, I guess, I'll have to stay around until I can pay you back... unless you'd rather me leave..." she bit her lip slightly. Her being in debt to Evander would give her a reason to stay with other people.

"Well... Seadramon was different... and he wasn't made of a giant shell..." Syn whined.

Evander turned to Zai and said, "Please stay." Then turning to Shellmon, he said softly. "If I can get inside that shell…" Evander got up and started running toward Shellmon but stopped when he saw the digimon fighting. Evander then had an idea. Perhaps he should use that Gesomon card he found on the beach earlier. He ran over to where he had put the card (in his pants pocket, which he wasn't currently wearing). He then scanned the card through his digivice. "Digi-Modify! Gesomon's Coral Crusher Activate!" Evander exclaimed.

Greymon got Gesomon's Tentacles for arms. "Coral Crusher!" Greymon shouted as he attacked the mark.

Shellmon, instead of withdrawing into its shell, blocks the attack with his left arm, and even then it didn't seem to be hurt very much. The red mark is seen in a quick glimpse as it withdraws into its shell afterward. The shell bobs below the water for a second before shooting up into the air, disappearing overhead.

Greymon tried to whip Shellmon again with his squidlike tentacles. "Coral Crusher! Coral Crusher!" Greymon shouted.

Boxerincectmon unleashed a flurry of multiple punches at extremely high speed while shouting "Rapid Punches!"

Gargomon tries to bonk Shellmon on the head with one of his gatling guns. "Bunny Pummel!"

Leomon tries to slice Shellmon with his sword, "Beast Sword!"

"Slamming Attack!" Garurumon shouted as he attempted to ram his body into Shellmon.

All of the attacks miss, Shellmon not visible due to being so high up.

Evander looked frustrated. "Nothing's working! That defense of his is just too tough!" Evander complained. Greymon then looked back at Evander with a concerned look on his face. "There's something strange about Shellmon. As you can see, he just jumped so high into the air that we can't even see him anymore." Greymon said. Evander nodded. "So..what are you saying?" He asked. "I think someone or something may be amplifying his fighting abilities. They may even be controlling him." Greymon speculated.

But the fight wasn't over. Whether Greymon's hunch was right or wrong, he knew they had to defeat him to stop him from rampaging. Greymon looked at Gladimon and grabbed him. Gladimon looked rather alarmed. "Oh my word! What in the world are you doing, Augie!?" Gladimon exclaimed. "Use Swords Dance when I throw you." Greymon replied. "Oh..a strategy." Gladimon said. Greymon then threw Gladimon up at Shellmon. "Swords Dance!" Gladimon attacked.

Evander thought about the weight but then thought about Shellmon, what was he doing skydiving? He should've come down by now. Suddenly, a speck is seen overhead. All of a sudden, a scream is heard. "Slamming Attack!" Shellmon smashes into the beach at a very high velocity, kicking up all of the sand on the beach and destroying it.

Let me describe the intensity of this crash; Imagine a meteor of epic proportion hitting the beach! That is pretty much what has happened. So they could not dodge it or terminate it with an attack! Even though Shellmon wasn't aiming at the group, the crash into the beach did cause a lot of destruction!

Evander shouted "LET'S GET OUT OF HERE NOW!!!" but it was too late.

Evander tried to stand his ground but the force was too strong. The children and the Digimon were bombarded with ocean water, dirt, rocks, and other kinds of debri that Shellmon's impact had kicked up. "ugnh......AHH!!!!" Evander yelled flying far back. Greymon, Gargomon, and BoxerInsectmon all wrapped their arms around Evander, kind of like in a group hug, in order to shield him from the result of Shellmon's devastating attack. Garurumon ran over to Jessica with Leomon and Gladimon. The shielded Jessica with their bodies. As the massive tsunami of water and debri pounded them, the Digimon took a lot of damage. They were taking damage not only from the rushing water and debri but also from the shockwaves of the Slamming Attack!

The digimon took so much Damage that by the time the attack dissipated, they all de-digivolved to their In-training forms. "Bedmon, Koromon, Gummymon!!! I've got you!" Evander yelled, kneeling down and picking up his fallen Digimon partners. Jessica knelt down and grabbed Cubmon and Motimon (Leormon's and PawnChessmon's In-Training forms). But then, Shellmon looked over to Tsunomon and shot another Aqua Blaster at him. This one, far more powerful than the previous ones. Tsunomon got hit and flew toward the Ice-lands. "TSUNOMON!!!!" Jessica yelled as she reached for her partner. The digimon were all unconscious.

"Syn, don't move," Zai spoke quickly, her eyes flickering towards the Shellmon. They weren't supposed to be that strong, were they? She stood up quickly, moving backwards, before the digimon hit the ground, causing her to fall back, her back was now facing the beach and Shellmon, her body covering Syn. It looked like nobody could actually stand against that type of force hitting the ground. Syn was shivering, terrified, as Zai's wings pulled up over the two, to protect them from some of the debris, Zai covering her digimon. If Syn had been fighting, her energy would have probably dwindled down to the in-training form, but luckily, she hadn't, but she had de-digivolved to rookie, which wasn't too much better.

I guess all those fights probably paid off, for me... it looks like everyone else is nearly unconcious... Zai's eyes flickered towards where the others were, barely able to see them from under her wings, and that , but we can't do anything in this state... she had been in a lot of fights before, but something as powerful as that? She'd be lucky if she could even stand, or at least get onto her knees, truthfully, she was barely conscious.

Shellmon comes out of its shell and looks over the damage it did from the center of the crater it made. It smirks, but grimaces seeing that two were still conscious. No matter. Shellmon turns toward Zai and Syn and yells, "Aqua Blaster!" Another jet of water heads for the two.

Syn slipped out from Zai's protection, and quickly tugged on her tamer's arm, managing to get Zai to narrowly shift out of the way of the attack, to where it had only hit her foot, which still wasn't pleasant.

Syn quickly darted away from Zai, to hopefully get the Shellmon primarily focusing on the little rookie, "P-Puppy howl!" she shouted, somewhat weakly, as she let out an ear-piercing howl.

Jessica struggled to even get up. she felt a pain in her arm. "Where....is...Tsunomon?" She asked. She looked toward Shellmon. "WHERE IS TSUNOMON!?" She yelled. "Zai, I think my Arm's broken."

"D-Deal with it!" Zai hissed out, shifting her foot a little, "we'll find.. Tsunomon in a little bit...'' She paused a few times, trying to sit up, but decided to stay how she was then. Laying on the ground. "If you broke your arm, wouldn't you cry? I mean, less violent means more easily injures, and it seems like it'd be more painful..."

"It is...I can...barely move it....uh." She fell to the ground and shut her eyes. was was fully conscious but she was really tired. In truth, she had only bruised it. "I'm really worried about him." Evander struggled to sit up. "Well....how...are we going, to win." Evander paused a couple of times because he was tired. Evander saw Jessica's Arm. "Oh, that looks like it hurts." Evander said. "It does." Jessica said. The Digimon slowly woke up. They saw The little Salamon fighting. "Bedmon got on his feet but struggled. "Petit Sonic!" Bedmon attacked sending very small sonic waves at the Shellmon intended to cut him. "It only hurts, I may be a girl but I aint a Wuss." Jessica says.

Meanwhile in Freezeland….

"WOAH!!!!!" Tsunomon yelled as he flew threw the air. "OOF!" he yelled as he hit some snow. "brrr...." Hey, where am I?" he asked.

Back at the beach, Shellmon looks at them all after blocking with its left arm. It then prepares for an Aqua Blaster.

Suddenly, Shellmon pauses, its eyes began flashing red on and off as it seems to struggle. It seemed to be fighting for control, but it was obvious that it was losing. Nevertheless, it was pausing itself long enough for any good upcoming attack to hit the mark.

"Petit Sonic!" Ladybugmon's in-training form attacked. "Petit...sonic!" He attacked a little weakly. Evander couldn't sit up. "Bedmon...it's no use...we're finished. there's no way we can win....look everyone is at their In-Training or Rookie form, we're all drained from the shock waves and debris and...and...and and we just can't win." Evander said. "That's quitter talk!" Bedmon said. "You may have given up but I haven't" Bedmon said. Bedmon started sprinting toward Shellmon. "I might use up all of my energy and revert back to an egg by doing this but I won't let the Digital World down." Bedmon thought. "Petit Sonic!" Bedmon attacked. "Evander got worried. "BEDMON NO!!" Evander yelled.

"S-Stop attacking!" Syn spat towards Bedmon, her eyes narrowing, as she darted towards the Shellmon. If she was in a close range attack with Shellmon, Bedmon wouldn't dare attack, would he? She doubted he'd do anything to cause her to become too badly injured, "Petit Punch!"

Zai finally managed to get the strength to sit up, and looked towards Bedmon, then Syn, "be careful, you two."

Surprisingly, both attacks hit the mark, causing it to glow brightly. Shellmon cries out for a second, but its eyes flash red again, the mark now back in control. Hitting the mark must have strengthened its control. Shellmon looks at both Syn and Bedmon. "Aqua Blaster!" Shellmon yells, releasing a jet of water at the group.

Bedmon got hit and flew back and hit Evander in the face. "Ow." Evander whined. Evander grabbed hold of Bedmon as he tried to take off again. "OH NO!! you are not doing that again!" Evander fussed. "LET ME GO!!! I MUST DESTROY HIM!!!!" Bedmon yelled. Evander looked shocked. it reminded him of attacking Devimon.

"HEY! I'm the one holding on to him and what about Syn huh?" Evander said. Evander looked at Digimon. "This is hopeless I'm contacting Mario." Evander said. He started pressing a button on his Digivice. "Hello Mario? We need you could you come over and bring your Digimon. Shellmon is destroying the place and us." Evader said on the walky talky thing on orange D-Power.

"Which is why we should hold back until Mario gets......here!" Evander strained trying to get the wiggling Bedmon to stop wiggling. Koromon slowly came around. His vison was blurry. "Oh..." Koromon said. "What happened?"

Hey, is Jessica okay? She's being rather...uh... quiet..." Zai noticed, "...I can probably try to... hn... help try to take care of her arm..." she sighed, "Syn, get back here..." she mumbled, as Syn backed up, rushing over to Zai, and hopping up into her arms.

"Bedmon, stop! Don't get hurt!" Syn shouted at Bedmon. She didn't want the digi to get loose.

Evander looks over to Jesscia. "She's asleep." Evander said he then looked down to Bedmon. "Look, Listen to Syn." Evander fussed. Bedmon wasn't listening.

He tried Digivolving but ended up fainting.

(Bedmon's name means Bed Bug)

Suddenly, Evan's Digivice cracks into life. [i]"Evan? Is that you?[i] came a voice across the Digivice. The voice was clearly Mario's but from the amount of static that played with the voice on Evan's Digivice, it sounds like his Digivice could be close to broken, and the connection could at some point cut off.

"Yeah, Mario?" Evander asked. "it's me, we could use your Digimon now before we get destroyed. We're at the beach."

Syn looked at Bedmon, and blinked some. Digivolving. Maybe she could. "Salamon digivolve to... nothing..." she mumbled after a short pause, then looked, glaringly, at Zai, "Well, can't you make the digivice do the glowing thingy now?!"

Zai shook her head, "Sorry, pup, can't, or I would have already..." she shrugged. Her eyes flickered back to Evander's digivice, "you know... Shellmon isn't doing anything really, by the looks of things, right now... why don't we try to get out of here? At least long enough to give our digimon back to their strength, and check out Jessica's arm..."

Evander nodded. "Yes. Let's retreat for now." Evander said.
