Evander and Jessica were tirelessly walking down the grassy trail. "Gee, Mabie, those guys noticed we were gone." Jessica said in a teasing tone. "Gee, Ya think?" Evander said sarcastically.
Evander folded his arms behind his head and looked up at the sky while he was walking. "Maybe I shouldn't have left so soon, I mean they might be in the Native forest searching for us as we speak." Evander said. Ladybugmon was flying next to Evander. Ladybugmon was flying at the same speed that Evander was walking so the two were next to each other the entire time they were moving forward. "Well, do you want to call them on your Digivice?" Ladybugmon asked. Evander replied, "Oh, ok. but maybe in a minute." Ladybugmon looked to his left and then looked to his right with a concerned look on his face. "Can we really find Yukio? I mean we don't even know where to look." Ladybugmon asked. Evander put his arms down to his side and turned his head to look at Ladybugmon. "Don't worry about it, Ladybugmon." Evander said. "Oh, ok." Ladybugmon said.
Agumon looked at Evander with a confused look on his face. Agumon was walking to Evander's left while Ladybugmon was flying at Evander's right. Terriermon was perched up on his shouler. Agumon said, "Hey, um....instead of just looking around, shouldn't we be calling his name as well?" Evander knew that Agumon was right. "YUKIO!" Evander called out, cupping his hands up to each side of his lips in order to help his voice carry farther. No answer. Agumon called out "Yukio! Where are you!?" Still, no answer. Agumon sat down on the ground. He was really tired. So tired that he didn't want to walk anymore. "Evander, I'm really tired." Agumon said. "Well, Let's just continue just a little bit further." Leormon said. "OK." Agumon said. Then they came across a lake.
A bright smile came across Jessica's face. "Yes! A lake to rest and relax!" Jessica exclaimed cheerfully. Evander put his fist under his chin for a moment and looked down. "Relax? We shouldn't relax. We've got to find Yukio." Evander said. Terriermon, who was still perched on Evander's shoulder, patted him on the face. "Don't worry about it. It's ok to take a little time off. Besides, if we stay put for a little while, maybe the others will rendevouz with us. Or maybe Yukio will show up." Terriermon said. Evander wasn't sure. He didn't want to sit still. He knew finding Yukio was important. Agumon and Ladybugmon both stood in front of Evander and gave him sad puppy dog eyes. "Pleeeeease!" They both said in unison. Evander sighed. "Fine. But only for a couple of hours." Evander said. Evander's three partner Digimon smiled brightly. "All right!" They all cheered, throwing up a fist in celebration.
Jessica began lifting her shirt. When Evander saw this, his face turned red and he began waving his hands back and forth with sweat drops comedically flying off of his head. "J-J-J-J-J-J-JESSICA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Evander exclaimed. Jessica turned to look at him with a puzzled expression on her face. "Changing." Jessica said. Jessica had her shirt in her hands halfway lifted off of her torso. "Right in front of me!?" Evander exclaimed. Jessica could see how embarrassed she was and knew she had some explaining to do. "Evander, remember that I'm a mermaid. My kind aren't shy about showing skin for one thing. For another, I already have on a bikini top and an Aqualian loin cloth underneath my clothes." Jessica explained. Evander calmed down a little, but he was still blushing. He tilted his head in confusion, "A quail in a loin cloth? What need would quails have for loin cloths?" Evander said. In his mind's eye, he was picturing a bird wearing a loin cloth. Jessica laughed, finding the misunderstanding amusing. She took the rest of her shirt off, folded it, and then set it gently on the ground while she laughed at the funny image Evander had just put in her head. "Not a quail in a loin cloth. Aqualian loin cloth. Aqualian. Aqualia is the name of the planet where I'm from. You see, we mermaids can shift between legs and tails at will, but because of the way the mermaid tail is formed, any kind of clothing that goes in between the crotch area will be ripped apart at best or hault the transformation at worst. Thus, we need to wear loin cloths, or skirts that will allow our two legs to fuse together as one limb." Jessica explained. Jessica then took her pants off to reveal a small skirt. It was like a tiny miniskirt and was dark blue in color.
Jessica then turned around, and closed her eyes. She was focusing. In a matter of seconds, her human legs transformed into a green, scaly, mermaid tail with two fins on the end. Jessica used her tail to spring herself off the ground and dive into the lake.
Evander put his fist up to his chin and went into thought. "I didn't exactly bring a set of swim trunks with me." Evander said. Evander then said, "Well, I guess my underpants will have to serve as a substitute." Evander said before stripping down to a pair of black briefs and jumping into the ocean.
Agumon and the other Digimon jumped in as well, except for Gabumon and Ladybugmon. Gabumon gripped one of his arms and said, "You guys go ahead. I'll stay out here."
"Hey Agumon, Do you want to have a swimming race?" Evander asked Agumon. "OK Evander, I'll take you on." Agumon said. Evander looked over to Ladybugmon. "Hey, Ladybugmon come on in the water's fine!" Evander said. "Well....maybe in a minute." Ladybugmon said, having a look of uncertainty on his face. Jessica sprang up from underneath the water. "Come on..." Jessie said. Ladybugmon looked over to her. "But...I can't swim..." Ladybugmon said.
Evander was in the midst of a swimming race with Agumon. He was swimming faster than Agumon and they were swimming around the lake. "HAHA! slowpoke!" Evander bragged. "I'm not slow!!" Agumon yelled. Suddenly, Jessica passed both of them and said, "You're both slow. You two had a head start and I'm passing you!" She teased. Evander scowled. "Hey! That's no fair! You're a literal mermaid!" Evander complained. Evander's eyes widened as he saw Jessica's green mermaid tail bob up and down underneath the surface of the water. It was still so surreal to him that his long time childhood friend wasn't even a human, wasn't even from his planet. This was the second time he had seen Jessica's tail and it fascinated him.
Jessica put her hand on a rock on the other side of the lake. She smiled and threw her hand up in victory! "I win!" Jessica said. "Great Job, Jessie!." Evander said, smiling at her. Jessica smiled and looked down at the water. "Thanks. But…I do kind of feel like I cheated. I can't swim very well in legged form, but we could have a rematch that way if you'd like." Jessica said. Evander smiled and chuckled a bit. "Are you kidding? Stay in your mermaid form. It'll be like playing on hard mode." Evander said.
Evander, Jessica, and Agumon had another swimming race. Jessica won again.
Terriermon came running and jumped into the water. "Cannon Ball!" Terriermon yelled making a splash. "Wow, for a little guy you sure do make an effective cannonball." Evander said. Terrermon giggled. Evander put his goggles over his eyes and decided "I Think I'll go dive Under water now." Evander thought as he put his goggles over his eyes. Jessica decided to go with him. Evander was holding his breath as he swam down to explore what kind of hidden treasures he may or may not find under the lake. As he swam, he looked over and saw Jessica waving at him. She wasn't holding her breath at all. She didn't need to. In this form, not only did she have a tail, but she had gill slits on the side of her neck as well. Evander and Jessica swam up towards each other and interlocked fingers. Jessica smiled at Evander gently. "I know you have to hold your breath, so I'll keep this short. I'm glad you finally know everything about me." Jessica said. But as soon as she said it, she realized something. He did NOT know everything about her. There was still one more secret she was keeping from him.
Betamons, Syakomons, and Gomamons were swimming around them. Evander smiled and nodded. Evander popped his head up to get some air. "Hey Leormon, come on in!" Jessica yelled. PawnChessmon jumped in. "What about Gabumon." Jessica asked. "He's to Shy." PawnChessmon said. Evander went back under and caught a fish with his bare hands.
Well, after swimming, Evander, Jessica, and the Digimon dried off. "Time to cook dinner." Ladybugmon said. Evander gave the fish to Jessica and she put the fish on a thing that you turn and you cook things with. "Pepper Breath!" Agumon started the fire he was to cook with with his fireball attack. "Thank you, Agumon." Evander said. "You're welcome, Evander." Agumon said. After a while, the fish was ready. "Supper's Ready!" Jessica called. "Come on! Let's go eat!" Evander told his Digimon. They started eating the fish. "Wow, Jessie you sure do cook a nice fish." Evander said. "Thank you, Evan." Jessica said.
Evander put down his kabob. They had makeshift kabobs out of twigs they found lying around the area. Evander smiled and rubbed his belly. "Oh Boy, that hit the Spot." Evander said. "You betcha." Ladybugmon said with a big smile on his face and also rubbing his belly. Evander was still clad in his black briefs and Jessica was still clad in her light blue bikini top and Aqualian loin cloth.
Jesscia was feeling some weird vibes. "Umm...guys, it's been a little too peaceful around here hasn't it?" Jessica asked. Evander furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" he asked. Jessica was looking around. "I get the strange feeling we're being watched." she whispered. Evander got annoyed. He stood up. He knew that the others would be looking for them. but why wouldn't they just come out and say something? "Come on, Regen, Mario, Kari, Flora, I know you're hiding somewhere!" Evander called.
"Would you shut up?" Zaiaku mumbled, appearing almost as if out of nowhere, standing a short distance from the digimon, and their tamers. Actually, she had been in earshot moments before and could hear the small group talking, "I bet if I would have been a mile away from here, I could still hear you!"
The still un-digivolved Nyaromon bounced up behind Zaiaku. Truthfully, Syn had wandered off and got lost, which took Zai up until recently to manage to hunt down the lost digimon, so they hadn't really been bothering with trying to get her to digivolve. It wasn't necessary to her. Nyaromon was finally a little calmer, and digivolving could make her hyperactive again.
"What'd you say?" Evander asked. Evander turned to see Zai. "Oh, it's Zai, not anyone important." Evan joked. "What are you doing here and why did you leave?" Ladybugmon asked.
"Oh haha," Zai mumbled dryly, before glancing around, "Weren't there more people last time I saw you?" she crossed her arms, ignoring Syn hopping around in circles.
"Wow! We haven't seen you guys in... forever! Forever's a long time, too!" the little Nyaromon shouted, slightly hyper.
"You've had a little to much sugar haven't you?" Ladybugmon asked.
"Well, Yukio has gone missing, I have no time to explain who that is, but yeah we just went swimming." Evander replied.
"Nooo.... well.... maybe.... yes... how'd you know?!" Syn asked, and shouted at the same time, while hopping around Zai.
"I can...tell... and I also heard. You guys were loud enough for anyone within a mile to hear, I'm almost sure of it," Zai smirked some, and shook her head.
Evander shrugged his shoulders and smirked. "We were having fun, you might want to try it sometime."
Agumon walked over to Zaiku. "Hello, my name is Agumon. What's yours?" he asked. "This girl is kind of Gothic looking, and what is with the wings?" Evander thought. "I'm hot aren't I?" Evander asked, trying for an Ego boost. Jessica looked shocked.
Nyaromon bounded a few inches forwards, "We did have fun! I got lost, and, and... and... yeah! I got lost! Then we wandered around! That's fun... right?"
"It's hard to have fun when on your home world, fire is seen everywhere, and then you find yourself someplace that would be probably considered freezing there..." Zaiaku sighed slightly, then looked at Agumon, "I'm Zaiaku, Zai for short, and uh... Syn's the bouncy one..."
"Haha!" Syn shouted randomly, bounding around in circles.
Zaiaku looked at Evander and smiled some, "oh yeah, you're so hot you should have sunburn..." she answered dryly.
Jessica sat down. "Well, does that mean you live in Hell?" Jessica asked. "I used to live on Aquila until I moved to the Atlantic Ocean." Jessica said. "Oh Yeah, I hope we don't fight soon, it's such a lovely day." Jessica thought. "Fire!" Agumon yelled running around. "Not here Augie." Evander said. "I got it!" Evander said.
Zaiaku snickered some. Hell? Oh yes, she lives with the dead, and Satan. "No, it's a place called Devilis. Not pleasant if you hate the heat. Wait... Aqualia? Isn't the atlantic ocean on earth? How'd you get there?" her eyes flickered to Agumon, "...and I thought that Syn was odd..."
"Whoo! Fire!" Nyaromon shouted, copying Augie.
"Eh... nevermind..." Zai shook her head, and pulled a small container out of her backpack, labeled Sunblock, and held it out for Evander, "heh... I don't use sunblock much, so this is pretty full. Take it," she sighed. These people were crazy.
Well after some weirdness with Syn, and getting some sunblock from Zai, they decided to swim some more. Ladybugmon was sad because he didn't know how to swim so Syn tried to show him but to no use.
Meanwhile, in the deepest part of the lake, a sinister force felt the presence of several trespassers in his waters. How foolish they were. A pair of red eyes open, the creature ready to begin the hunt.
Jessica turned her head and saw a red fin come out of the water. Fear gripped her before the creature came up and revealed itself to be a cute, round, green creature with four stubby legs. Jessica took a sigh of relief. "Nah, it's just a Betamon." Jessica said.

Evander got out of the lake and went to sit down by Ladybugmon. "I've been in the Digital world for 3 days and already I feel indecisive, I would have hoped to have found the main problem of the Digital world so at least I would know what we were up against. But I'm sure that everything will be OK. I mean the good guys always win...well...maybe not at first but in the end good wins. I mean the Digital world holds some amazing secrets that might help with the fight." Evander thought to himself. He was lying on the ground looking up at the clouds.
Evander sat up a little bit to see the others having fun after thinking that there was evil in the lake. "Darn, I wish that Yukio would show up soon." Evander said.
"Hn..." Zaiaku shrugged some, "a little digimon is nothing to worry about..." she picked up Syn and stepped out of the water. It was never like her to really enjoy water much, so she hadn't planned to be in very long.
"Aww.... no more speed boat?" the little Nyaromon whined a little, and squirmed some, before stopping and staring at Evander, "who's Yukio?"
Zaiaku smiled some, then looked at Nyaromon, shaking her head, "she's lying... I think..."
Syn looked at her, "hey! I've got enough energy to digivolve! Do it so I can chase him!"
Zai sighed some, taking out her digivice, and shaking her head, "whatever, just... don't eat him like you tried the last one..."
Syn nodded some, "Nyaromon digivolve to... Salamon!" The little rookie shook some, as a dust flew off her coat revealing that her fur was actually black (I've checked wikipedia, black gatomon's rookie form has black fur). Almost as if ignoring her digivolution, she rushed after Augie, shouting, "Let me eat you!"
"This Puppy is Insane!" Augie yelled. Evander stood up. "Hey, that looks like fun." He said as he tugged at Zai's Arm. "C,mon let's go play." Evander said. Jessica turned back into human form and started Chasing Zaiku. "I'm gonna get you!" she yelled.
Salamon continued chasing Augie, "haha! I'm going to eat you!" Syn shouted.
Zai shook her head. Airheads, the bunch were, weren't they. It included Syn, too! Of course, when she got Syn, the insanity was already there. It couldn't hurt to have a little fun... she guessed. Anyways, to keep away from the insanity, she joined into the little game and began running from Jessica. Jessica tagged Zai. "You're it!" She said cheerfully. Zai was expressionless, but it was her turn, so she chased after Jessica.
Agumon looked down. "Spit Fire Blast!" Agumon attacked the ground to blast him into the air and a little ways away from Syn. Evander saw it. "Nice one Augie!" Evander yelled. Ladybugmon tagged Syn. "YAY! I tagged her!!" Ladybugmon cheered. Terriermon started running from Gabumon. "Forget about it! I'll win!" Terriermon said.
Syn's speed picked up a little after being tagged, "aww!" she whined playfully, before continuing her chase to catch Augie, swerving to the side, and 'pawing' (tagging) Evander, and darting away quickly, with a snicker. Zai merely shook her head some, and watched Syn.
Evander: Oh Snap!
Evander ran after Salamon. "I'm Gonna get you, Perito!" Evander yelled. "Burrito..." Terriermon said. "It's Spanish for Dog. I learned it from Mario." Evander said. "Dang, this Digimon's Fast, I'm not sure if I can catch up to her...." Evander thought. Evander closed his eyes with intensity because he was giving out. but he wasn't looking where he was going so he tripped and fell on Jessica who fell on Zaiku.
"II'm a burrito?!" Syn questioned, continuing to run, glancing back, she soon found herself hitting a tree, shaking her head, and slipping off to the side, "oooh... pwetty birdies...."
Zaiaku watched the Salamon for a second, before looking at Evander, catching onto the domino effect quickly enough to do the simplest thing. Step to the side. She had been used to sidestepping everyone on her planet that tried to attack her, so she had done it out of pure instinct. Luck in this case. Zai shook her head, "you two okay?"
Syn laughed some, "haha! You tripped!"
Evander sat up, rubbing his head. "oops." Evander said.
it was becoming dark. "Well, we might want to get dressed and camp out here for the night." Evander said. Evander went behind 2 trees and took his briefs off before putting his jeans over them. It would take time for his underwear to dry. He then put on his shirt, cap and goggles. Jessica did the same. Evander walked over to Zaiku. "I had a lot of fun today, we might want to do that again." Evander said. Ladybugmon walked up to Evander. "Why don't you help us search for Yukio, I mean 20 eyes are better than....never mind I haven't been to school yet, I'm still just a Baby." Ladybugmon said. "OK, Since we are staying the nite here, I think that we should take turns standing guard." Evander said. "I'll go first."
Zai nodded some, and slipped behind a tree to change. It took her only a moment to be standing back where she had been before, "Couldn't hurt to help you find... that... person..." she shrugged, having lost interest in Yukio's name too quickly to memorize it.
Salamon bounded around quickly, "so when.... do I... get to... help... guard....?" she asked between hopping up and down to try to reach the same height as the humans, but failed at actually getting that high.
Evander went to sit on the ground. Augie went to sit with him while the others got ready for sleep.
Evander closed his eyes and lowered his head. "Evander, you don't want to fall asleep on your first night watch!" Agumon said. Evander rubbed his eyes. "My eyes won't stay open. I'm going to the lake and splash some water on my face." Evander got up, walked over to the lake, and cupped some water in his hands before moving his hands up to his face to soak it. He did this a few times before turning around and going back to sit down with Agumon.
"So, I wonder when I will get to Digivolve to the Ultimate Level." Agumon said.
"I don't know, but in Japan it's call the Perfect level." Evander said.
"Well, I'm a dub Digimon I guess." Agumon said.
"Yeah, I guess so." Evander said.
"Gabumon and I promised eachother that we would help become Omnimon someday." Agumon said.
"Well, You both have to get to Mega first." Evander said.
"What are all the Level's names in Japanese?" Agumon asked.
"Baby-Fresh, Baby2-In Training- Child-Rookie, Adult-Champion, Perfect-Ultimate, Ultimate-Mega." Evander replied.
"Cool." Agumon said.
The two were silent for a moment, then Evander looked over at Agumon and said. "Hey, Augie? Can I ask you a question?" Evander asked. "You just did!" Agumon replied with a big grin on his face. Evander turned his head and chuckled a little bit. "Funny." He said. Turning his face back to Augie, he said, "What is your mother like? Do Digimon even have parents?" Agumon nodded. "The answer is both yes and no. Digimon don't give birth like females in your world. We go through a never ending cycle of hatching from DigiEggs and then going back to DigiEggs when we die. However, stronger Digimon have been known to adopt weaker Digimon in their own digivolution line to help care for them until they're good enough fighters to go out on their own." Augie explained.
"Are you one of them? One of those Digimon who got adopted, I mean?" Evander asked. Agumon nodded. "I sure am. My mom is a Greymon and my dad is Tyrannomon." He replied. Evander smiled. "Cool, Where can I meet them?" Evander asked. "In Meridell." Agumon replied. "That sounds neat, Augie. Perhaps in our search for Yuko, we'll come across your folks." Evander said.
"What are you parents like, Evander?" Agumon asked.
Evander laid back and folded his arms behind his head, gazing up at the stars. He smiled a little, then replied, "Well, my mom's blonde and my dad is a brunet. Mom's a good cook. Maybe if we get to back to my world some day, you can come with me and have some of her home cooking." Evander said. Agumon looked over at his tamer and smiled. He rubbed his claws together thinking of the yummy meals Evander's mom might make for him. He started licking his lips in delight. "That's a day I look forward to!" Agumon said cheerfully.
Evander then noticed something. He saw Jessica walking over to the front of the lake in her blue bikini top and Aqualian loincloth. Evander sat up and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Jessie? You going swimming some more?" Evander asked. Jessica looked back at him and shook her head. "No. I'm going to sleep underwater for tonight. It's something I haven't done since before I came to Earth. I don't have to worry about being found out here." Jessica replied. Evander smiled and nodded as the orange haired girl caused her legs to become a mermaid tail. Jessica went underwater.
Zaiaku grabbed Syn, and soon found a place on a tree branch, sitting upright. Plainly, she wasn't tired. Salamon seemed to be, though, and was curled up in a ball, sleeping soundly on Zai's lap. Zai sighed softly, glancing around. It had been a while since she had actually been around people without fighting. It was actually nice, but she knew that when she went home everything would go back to normal.
Evander got up. "OK, It's Zaiku's turn." Evander said. Agumon went to find Zaiku. "Zai?" Agumon said, trying not to wake anyone.
Jessica woke up and splashed out of the lake. "Surprise!" She yelled coming up.
At that instant, Syn fell off of Zai's shoulder with a yelp, and did a little twitching thing for a moment, before being picked up by Zai.
Zai smirked slightly, "well you seem awake. Aren't you tired when you first wake up?" she pat Syn on the head, before looking at Jessica.
Jessica got out of the Water. She perched herself on the side of the lake, her mermaid tail not disappearing. She flapped her mermaid tail up and and down slightly, making little splashes in the water. "Well, I slept really late yesterday." Jessica said, responding to Zai's question. Jessica looked up at the sky. "I'll just try to get myself sleepy again by stargazing and listening to the ocean on the Beach nearby."
"Hn.." Zai blinked a few times, and shrugged slightly, "Don't get too much sleep though, it isn't healthy. And think of what might happen if you get too much. You may end up as hyper as Syn..."
"Water!" Syn turned her head to the lake, instantly running to the edge of the water, and splashing her paw into it several times.
"Well I tried to get a drink of water last nigt, and I got lost in a bunch of Cobwebs, I passed out when I saw Dokugumon's. Evander woke me up. We had to fight them as well as an Arukenimon." Jessica said. she looked over to Evander. She remembered what she said earlier about her having no secrets left that she was keeping from him. "I'll tell him in the morning..." She said under her breath.
"Oh..." Zai nodded some, and walked over to Syn, sitting down near the water, to make sure that the, now wide awake, Digimon didn't fall into the water. She looked at Jessica, "hey, are you and..him a couple? I mean, when I see you, he's always with you, and vice-versa."
Syn continued to paw at the water, almost losing her balance, but caught it at the last second.
Jessica turned red. "umm....no..umm...I I mean yes...no...umm...maybe..umm..." Jessica stuttered. "Well...I've always had a crush on him since 5th grade."
"Zai stared blankly for several minutes, "He has no idea you like him, does he?" she shook her head, "fifth grade... and.... what grade are you in now?"
Syn wound up falling into the water, splashing a few times from shock of falling in, and slowly climbed out, looking like a drenched rat, before shaking off, then puffed out like a giant black cotton ball.
"umm...no and we're in 7th." Jessica said. Jessica laid back and started staring at the stars. "I mean, we've been good friends for a while and I don't know if he likes me the same way." Jessica said. Leormon got up a little bit. "OK...I'm thirsty." Leormon said, coming over and sipping out of the lake. "What are you girls talking about?"
"So... you like him... and you won't tell him that? Do you ever plan on saying anything?" Zai sighed. On her planet, if somebody stated they liked another for more than a friend, they'd be treated as outcasts, teased, and sometimes asked if they had a deathwish. On a planet that allowed such an emotion, the people were too scared to say anything!
Syn noticed Leormon, and stared at him for a few moments, "hallo!" it wasn't an answer to his question, but still…
"um...Hallo?" Leormon asked, confused. "What's love like on your planet?" Jessica asked.
"Are you wide awake like them? Or are you sleep walking?" Syn tilted her head slightly.
"Love on my planet is.... a deathwish..." Zai took a deep breath, "on my planet, if you love somebody, it's better to stay silent, or you may wind up finding out that the whole saying to let somebody you love go, really should be kept. Saying it is as if asking to be a misfit, and possibly never be capable of talking, or breathing, again." she paused, "so, I think, that you shouldn't hide your feelings, if you're on a world that doesn't hate love."
Jessica sighed. "That's so sad." Jessica said. Leormon wobbled back to bed. "Good....Night...." Leormon said. Evander woke up and walked over to Zaiku. "OK, It's my turn to stay watch." Evander said. "Hey, whatcha talkin about?"
Evander sat down beside Jessica. "What was that all about?" Evander asked. Jessica looked down. "if you live without it, you stop caring about it." Jessica thought about what Zai said. what Zai said. "I.....Love...." Jessica started. "You love....what?" Evander asked. "I....love.....Pizza! Hey I like meat lovers. What do you like?" She said. "Supreme?" Evander asked a bit confused. "I.....Love....You! " she said. Evander's eyes widened and he blushed. "um....yeah.......me...too.." he said a little shocked and relieved at the same time. "I mean...I...think it's a crush on you that's developed over time. I've only recently discovered that I had such feelings for you. Lately every time I see you, I feel like….there's butterflies in my stomach. I've had moments of bashfulness, and….well….seeing you every day makes me happy. I sometimes feel a little sad when we're apart." Evander explained. Terriermon woke up and walked over. "OK, Love Birdramons, let's get to watchin, no kissy face ok?" Terriermon joked. "OK Terriermon." Evan giggled.
Zai smirked some. She didn't need love, but humans, and anyone from earth, obviously did. That's why there was that emotion. To put it simply, that emotion wasn't in her memories, except for people that stated it to others, then were shunned for saying such.
She and Salamon watched from a short distance for a moment, before Syn smiled, "you did something nice, Zai. You helped somebody say something they really really needed to..."
"Don't get used to it. I still don't like people..." Zai glared at the small Salamon, before Syn curled up into a ball, "they're cute together!" Syn said childishly.
Evander laid back and looked at the stars. He always loved stargazing. "This is nice, I'm glad you said somthing cause I know I would've never come forward." Evander said. "Yeah, Thanks Zai." She said before going to sleep in the lake.
Deep in the lake, the dark presence from earlier watches, waiting. He made sure to keep his presence hidden. None of them could see him in the lake, not a chance. He would strike soon, when they would least expect it.
Evander woke up and walked over to the lake. "MOM!!!! We're...out.....of peanut butter." Evnader was sleep walking. His yell woke everyone up. "WHAT!?" they yeled. Evander woke up. "Hey! I'm still in Digiworld." Evander said. "Yeah...I'm tired." Ladybugmon said.
"Aww... But what about the five foot long claws? And the elephant trunk for your trademark attack? Nose Blast!" Syn shouted, using Nova Blast as a base for the name, "and you don't wanna know how icky the enemy will be after they find themselves covered in that, and it'll clear up your sinuses! Oh, and..."
"That's enough, Syn," Zai sighed, as she covered the Salamon's mouth.
"Pweanut Bwutter? I wants Pwenut Bwutter!" Syn mumbled, muffled by Zai's hand.
Evander rubbed his head Anime style. "Oh, I'm sorry." Evander said. "Well don't do it again." Agumon said. Jessica woke up and swam out of the lake. "What's all of the noise about?" She asked
"I bet PawnChessmon's next form'll be called PawnCheesemon!" Syn shouted, getting loose from Zai's grip, "now, where's the peanut butter?"
"...I don't know you people..." Zai mumbled lowly, shaking her head.
"So....why are we awake?" Evander asked.
Syn shook her head, "you shouted peanut butter, and woke everyone up, you dolt!"
Zai looked at Syn, then to Evander, "what she said..."
Jessica swims around deep under the lake.
The shadow opens its eyes. Here was its moment. While this one was unaware of the danger and the others unable to see, he would strike. In a matter of seconds, the shadow slowly swims around to circle his body around the little mermaid and then suddenly darts for her, his mouth wide open.
BATTLE NOW!
Jessica swam up and was trying to get away from Seadamon. "HELP!" Jessica screams. Evander is shocked and Dives in to save her. "Agumon Come on!" Evander yelled. Agumon jumped in. "Claw Attack!" Agumon thought as swiped his hand at Seadramon.
Zai watched silently, picking up Salamon to prevent the little digi from jumping off into the water.
Salamon squirmed, trying to get loose, but wound up giving up.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon attacked. but nothing came out. Agumon forgot about his attack and water. Evander dove into the water and punched Seadramon's head just as he was about to bite down on her. Seadramon recoiled a bit and swam away.
"Hmm...."Evander smirked. Evander and Jessica swam back up on land. Jessica caused her mermaid tail to turn back into legs and she ran some distance away from the lake. Evander looked back and down at the water. "Hey, Scared Digimon...up here you numb-skull!" Evander taunted. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Terriermon asked. "We'll be able to beat him easier if we are out of water." Evander replied. Agumon came up and got out of the water too.
Syn looked at Zai, "why aren't we helping? I wanna help!" she whined childishly.
"Because... land is probably its weakness, figuring it resides in water, if you reside in water as something that never leaves it, then somebody else goes into the water, who do you think has the advantage?" Zai sighed, trying to sound reasonable.
"Then Jessica would be good at this fight..." Syn blinked some.
"No, I don't think Jessica stands a chance against a large digimon..." Zai shook her head.
"You got that right." Jessica said.
Ladybugmon looked down at the water.
"Super Sonic!" Ladybugmon shouted as he sent out a series of sharp, compressed waves of air that would slice the enemies. "Super Sonic!" Ladybugmon continued. "Pepper Breath! Pepper Breath!" Agumon exclaimed, shooting two consecutive fireballs out of his mouth. "Bunny Blast!" Terriermon exclaimed, shooting a series of small green fireballs out of his mouth. "Blue Blaster!" Gabumon exclaimed, shooting a small stream of blue fire out of his mouth.
They attacked the water he was in to try to get him to come up. "Is it working?" Evander asked.
"Don't attack the water! Idiots! Wait until it comes up by itself, by the looks of things, it planned to, attacking the water might not help!" Zai snapped at them, then looked at Syn, "stay put... I don't need you getting eaten..."
Syn gulped at the last sentence, "E-eaten? Ack! You're going to get eaten!" she yelped at Evander, Jessica, and their digimon.
Seadramon is not seen anywhere under the water. Suddenly, a muffled voice is heard. Whatever it was saying was gargled by the water, making it impossible to understand. However, at that moment, a large beam of ice is seen zooming up through the water right at the Digidestined and their Digimon!
"OH NO!" Ladybugmon yelled as he was frozen. he was in the air so he sank down to the bottom of the lake. "OH NO!!!! LADYBUGMON!!!!!" Evander yelled. "That does it." he said.
A word scrolled across Evander's orange D-power in green letters against a black background
"DIGIVOLUTION"
"Agumon Digivolve to....Greymon!"
DIGIVOLUTION
"Terriermon Digivolve to....Gargomon!"
DIGIVOLUTION
"I'm glowing." PawnChessmon thought.
"PawnChessmon digivolve to....Gladimon!"
"Gabumon digivolve to....Garurumon!"
Greymon jumped into the lake. He grabbed Ladybugmon and swam out of the lake. "Nova Blast!" he attacked Ladybugmon to defrost him.
DIGIVOLUTION
"Ladybugmon Digivolve to....BoxerIncectmon!"
"Now let's wait till he comes up, everyone stand back!" BoxerInsectmon said.
Salamon kept tight in Zaiaku's arms. Squirming slightly, she watched the water as the beam shot out of the water.
Zai grumbled something, possibly curse words, as she distanced herself from the other digidestined.
Nothing happens. Perhaps Seadramon had retreated. Or perhaps he was waiting. Planning.
Evander just stood there, he had a look of frustration on his face. "If BoxerIncectmon could swim, he could use Rapid Punches on Seadramon, maybe he retreated but I'm not so sure." Evander thought. Evander was actually using his head for once. if Boxerincectmon could swim he could be Seadramon easly. "I'll try...." Evander mumbled so no one could hear him.
Flashback.
Jessica was 9 years old and they were in the Human world.
"It's easy, just relax, kick your legs and move your arms." Jessica said. Evander tried all sorts of things but still couldn't swim. "I can't do it." Evander said disappointed. "Just believe you can...and you will." Jessica said And Evander did it.
END FLASHBACK.
Evander looked over to BoxerIncectmon. "Believe you can swim...and you will Boxerincectmon!" Evander coached. "OK! I'll do it!" Boxerincectmon said. he jumped into the water and looked for Seadramon. "Why did you do that?" Jessica asked. Jessica looked over to Gladimon. "Gladimon I want you to be Boxerinccectmon's backup." she said.
Boxerincectmon comes out of the water. "I have now come to the conclusion that he has retreated. Now let's get out of here before he gathers some courage." Boxerincectmon said.
"Hmm...." Gargomon hmmed. "Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon started shooting around the lake hoping to hit him so he could know where he was. "STOP!" Evander yelled. "What's wrong?" Gargomon asked. "You might hurt some good Digimon."
Seadramon waits on the bottom. Being a predator, he liked to play with his food.
"I'm too big for Seadramon to eat so i'll go down and wait for him to come." Greymon said as he approached the water. "Be careful." Evander said. Greymon went into the lake.
"Idiots... this isn't logic, ever consider that Seadramon can take just one bite and split your precious digimon in half?" Zai glared at the stupid tamer. Allowing his digimon to go into something that dangerous? Zai would probably put Syn into dangerous situations, but nothing too over her head, "and ever consider that in water his attacks are weak, pitiful excuses of nothing?"
"Oh! Don't let him get eaten!" Syn cringed.
DIGIVOLUTION
"Leormon Digivolve to...Leomon!"
Leomon said "Now I'm ready."
Syn carefully slipped out of Zai's arms, standing cautiously at the girl's feet, before slowly walking towards the lake. Something told her that the digimon wouldn't leave so suddenly. Just instinct. A digimon wouldn't attack, then run away without putting up a fight, unless they wanted to be considered a coward.
"Syn, get back here. You'll get eaten..." Zai sighed, shaking her head some, as she spotted Syn's cringing, and darting behind Zai's foot quickly, and carefully, for fear of finding herself in the stomach of another digimon.
Suddenly, another beam of ice comes out of the water, aiming for the Digimon in it. Greymon shot a powerful white stream of fire out of his mouth. "MEGA BURST!" He aimed it at the Beam of ice to counter it.
"I guess he likes frozen food." Evander joked.
Syn stared at the ice beam, "I knew it! A digimon like that would never, ever just attack and run!"
Zai sighed, flicking a rock at Evander's head, "Ever consider he'd rather just rip us to shreds than eat anyone? We were in its lake, and I think it made him mad..."
Evander turned to Zai. "Well, he needs some Anger Management, cause he's an Idiot for trying to rip the Digidestennd!" Evander scolded. Evander knew he was mad. If his home was invaded he'd fight too (Naturally). Gargomon looked towards the lake. He wanted to eat breakfast, so he was going to finish the job. "GARGO LASERS!!!!!" Laser beams came out of the gatling guns on Gargomon's arms.
The beams run into the lake. After a few minutes, it grows silent. Perhaps Seadramon had been put to rest.
Evander put his fist down with a shocked look on his face. "...did....did...did we win?" Evander asked.
"Don't count your digimon before they hatch," Syn mumbled, her eyes staring into the water, "I don't think a digimon like that would go down so easily...."
Zai blinked some. Syn was actually making some sense here, and wasn't being hyperactive. "She's right. I think this may just be starting... of course, it's just our opinions against the digimon's..."
"Well let's go to the beach, if he's still alive we don't wanna stick around Anymore." Evander said. Jessica put her shirt on. "You? Turning down a fight." Jessica asked. Evandeer turned to her. if he was going to be a Tamer. he'd have to be responsible. Evander said. "OH BOY! Salt water!" Jessica yelled. "Come on guys." she said.
Suddenly, before anyone could do anything else, Seadramon bursts out of the water. "Ice Blast!" he yells as he suddenly blasts a huge blast of ice at the group.
Evander ducked. Greymon ducked also but the other digimon got frozen. "Little Nova Blast." Geymon said defrosting them. "Well that stunk." Boxerincectmon said. "Everyone attack at once!" Jessica said.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon shouted as he shot a huge ball of fire out of his mouth.
"Sonic Boom!" BoxerInsectmon shouted as he flapped his wings and sent powerful, sharp, compressed slices of air out of his wings.
"Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon shouted, firing the gatling guns on his arms and shooting a plethora of bullets at Arukenimon.
"Fist of the Beat King!" Leomon shouted as he punched the air, causing a stream of red and orange energy in the shape of a lion's face to come out of his fist.
"Wheel Dash!" Gladimon shouted as he spun around with his sword extended, going towards the enemy like a rolling ball.
Seadramon dodged most of the attacks with ease. With his serpentine body, wriggling around to avoid Greymon's Nova Blast and Gargomon's Gargo Pellets was a breeze. He did get hit with Leomon's and Gladimon's attack, and recoiled a little from the pain.
Syn just stood there, her eyes staring coldly at the Seadramon. Zai and her were distanced a little from the group from the first ice blast, and managed to avoid getting hit because of this. Zai merely watched the digimon. It wasn't like Syn would be of much help, so both decided to merely watch.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon shouted as he shot a huge ball of fire out of his mouth.
BoxerInsectmon flew up to Seadramon's face. "Rapid Punches!" He shouted as he sent a flurry of punches to Seadramon's face that were so rapid that the eye couldn't keep up.
Gargomon jumped up and hit Seadramon from under his chin in an uppercut. "Bunny Pummel!" Gargumon shouted.
"Beast Sword!" Leomon shouted, lunging at Seadramon and swinging his sword.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted before sending a large stream of blue flames at the opponent.
Seadramon manages to evade all but BoxerInsectmon's attack, but it doesn't even faze him. "Ice Blast!" he yells again as he releases a blast of ice at everyone.
The rest of the team dodged and Boxerincectmon almost got out of the way but his feet got frozen. He struggled to get free. Grunting. "Ugh....uhh...a little help." Boxerincectmon said. "Slamming Attack!" Garurumon shouted, slamming his body into Seadramon. "Wheel Dash!" Gladimon attacked. "MEGA BURST!" Greymon attacked with a powerful, white stream of fire. Seadramon dodged Garurumon's and Gladimon's attack. As for Greymon's, he dove down into the water to avoid it before coming back up.

BoxerInsectmon continued struggling. "Get me free already! Come on I'm in danger!" He shouted.
Syn sighed, "noisy, noisy. Help me, help me. Is everything all about you?" she shook her head, and walked towards Boxerincectmon. She couldn't attack Seadramon, but maybe she could break the ice. "Petty Punch!" she aimed a punch at the ice, concentrating her strength into it.
Zaiaku shook her head, "should have used puppy howler. Your voice is much more annoying. The sound could probably shatter glass, mirrors, and other things... your voice alone gives me a headache..."
Boxerincectmon thanked Syn, then flew up towards Seadramon and picked up the speed. "Rapid Punches!" he attacked. followed by a: "Sonic Boom!"
Seadramon just waits there, smiling as BoxerInsectmon got closer. Finally-
"Ice Winder!" Seadramon yells, releasing a focused beam of subzero ice directly at BoxerInsectmon, which is near impossible to dodge completely from this distance.
Boxerincectmon froze and fell, he started rolling untill he hit Greymon. "Ow..." Greymon said as he was knocked over like a bowling pin. Greymon looked up at Seadramon and started running towards him with his head lowered and his horns extended. "Great Horns Attack!" Seadramon's serpentine body moved off to the side to avoid getting impaled by Greymon's horns. Then, Seadramon slapped Greymon back with his tail. Greymon fell on his back and grunted. Greymon stood up and looked in Seadramon's direction. "MEGA BURST!" Greymon shouted, sending another white colored stream of raging fire at Seadramon.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted before sending a large stream of blue flames at the opponent.
"Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon shouted as he fired the gatling guns on his arms.
"Okaaay.... attacking a little quickly..." Zai shook her head slightly, pulling out something. Was it a card? It wasn't made of the same material as the ones on earth, but sure enough, it had a picture of a BlackGatomon on it, "you know lightning kick, right?"
"Duh..." Syn sighed some, "no, I just learned it from a penguin in the antarctic regions of earth, who taught me karate..."
"Well, tell the penguin he better be good, because I'd like you to use that..." Zai remarked.
"Fine, fine..." Syn sighed, "Lightning Kick!"
Seadramon managed to dodge every attack except the Lightning Kick, which really hurt him. Seadramon falls backwards into the lake, kicking up some water. The waters calm down as nothing happens. Had Seadramon been defeated? Suddenly, Seadramon bursts back out of the lake, using a great Ice Blast into the air, one which would be of no danger to the Digidestined. While Seadramon's head's up like this, though, a red mark of some sort is visible on the side of its neck. Seadramon then turns toward the group, its eyes full of rage.
Greymon ran up realy really really really close to SEadramon. he looked up at the red mark. He thought that he would attack that. "MEGA BURST!!!!!" Greymon yelled as another white stream of raging fire shot out of Greymon's mouth. "Wheel Dash!" Gladimon aimed for his Chin.
"Heh..." Syn smirked, "alright... fun..." her eyes glared at the Seadramon. Looking for a weakness... looking... ooh, what was that? A red mark? "Zai, what angle would take the least damage to me from Greymon's attack, while still letting me attack the same thing he's aiming at?" she spoke quickly.
"Hn... probably around there..." Zai mumbled after a moment, pointing to a spot close to the water, "either lightning paw, or kick, whichever, I don't care."
Syn nodded some. She had her own ideas of the fight. Right after Greymon's attack either hit or missed, she'd be right there, to try to get an attack on the Seadramon. That way, if Greymon hit, she possibly would, resulting in more damage to Seadramon, while if he missed, with her being at a different angle than him, there was a slim chance she wouldn't. She darted to the area Zai had pointed at, and quickly made her move towards the same target as the Mega Burst, but a little away from it, "Lightning Paw!"
"The heck... she'll eventually kill herself attacking like that..." Zai shook her head some, letting out a 'hmph' sound.
Seadramon dodges the attacks from Evan's Digimon, but it doesn't see BlackGatomon in its blind spot. Before it can react, the red mark is struck. Hard. Seadramon begins to thrash around, looking like it was in great pain. The mark begins to glow brightly with a red hue as Seadramon goes from roaring to crying. Suddenly, it stops. The mark stops glowing and Seadmon stops thrashing. Seadramon just sits upright for a while before starting to tilt toward the shore. Suddenly, Seadramon goes from tilting to falling, slamming into the shore. A large cloud of sand is kicked up, blocking Seadramon from sight for a moment. As the sand settles, Seadramon is clearly out cold, the red mark seeming to pulse. At a closer look, the mark seemed to be what looked like a Digivice.
Syn rushed to Zai's side, the second after she hit the ground, "it worked. Did you see? It worked!" she spoke quickly, trying to be acknowledged by Zai. All she wanted was for Zai to think she wasn't a waste of energy and time.
"Yes, I saw," Zai rolled her eyes, placing a hand on Syn's head, before looking carefully at the fallen Seadramon, "what is that?" she mumbled, walking towards the digimon, where the mark was, Syn close at her side. Syn blinked some, reaching out her paw, in an attempt to touch the pulsing mark, nervously. They were both curious about what it was…
The red Digivice mark suddenly flares up, glowing a brighter and brighter red, before red smoke starts to come from it. As the smoke came out, the mark disappeared. Now there was a cloud of some strange red coloration. It looked crimson like blood. It looked...evil. The cloud suddenly turns into a shadowy color before forming into what looks like a monsterous head. The head screeches at the Digidestined before turning back into the red cloud from before. The cloud then implodes, leaving nothing of it behind. Seadramon is still knocked out, though.
After a few seconds, Seadramon begins to stir. After a few minutes, it opens its eyes and raises itself back up. It realizes that it had been freed. It then looks at the children and their Digimon. After a few minutes of silent staring, Seadramon dives back into the lake, disappearing into the depths.
BATTLE OVER!
Evander sighed. "It's over." he said. "Bye, we're sorry about swimming in your lake!" Jessica called. Evander looked shocked. "Don't apologize to him." Evander said
It seems that Seadramon never actually meant to do that. It wasn't the digimon itself, something else was behind it's actions... whatever created that mark..." Zai watched the Seadramon head back into the water.
"Innocent digimon probably came here for playing in the water, or drinking it. Whatever made Seadramon do that, made him pretty much enraged. It seemed like he'd do whatever came near, by what I'm figuring. So think of all the digimon that probably came here, Seadramon noticed them, and attacked the poor digimon..." Syn blinked a few times.
Evander shook his head, he had his suspicions who might have controlled him but he didn't want to jump to conclusions. "Let's get out of here." Evander said calmly.
