Several days had passed since the battle with RumikoGizumon. Evander, Taylor, Agumon, Gabumon, Jessica, Leormon, Sharkmon, and the entire Glovion household sat on two couches in their living room watching the news on TV. Shmorphagorph Kellyborphmaru was reporting; “The cyborg woman responsible for the deaths of 100 Digimon has been identified. She is Rumiko Shingaku; an Attorney at Shinigaku Law Firm. Police have released official statements concerning Mrs. Shingaku’s activity. Detectives Evander Glovion and Kyoko Kuremi have been investigating an organization called Crusaders Against Digimon, or C.A.D for short for several weeks now. The Kuremi Detective Agency have made their findings publicly available now that the case is closed. Crusaders Against Digimon have been responsible for both the rampaging Digimon incidents as well as the large mechanical creatures called Gizumon who have targeted Digimon and permanently killed them. The identities of several C.A.D members have been identified, and over 20 of them have been arrested by local officials. Construction companies estimate that the collateral damage is 20,000,000,000 yen in damage. Investigators are still trying to figure out all the details. How many people were involved in C.A.D? How many Digimon did their Gizumon destroy in total? And have we seen the last of them?”
Taylor looked at the TV and frowned. "So many Digimon dead….permanently dead." She said. Sharkmon made a sad little noise. He was curled up in Taylor's lap getting petted like a kitty cat. "But we stopped them. That's the important thing." Sharkmon said. Taylor sighed. Taylor looked over to her mother sitting on the couch directly in front of her. There were two couches that each faced each other with a coffee table in the middle. The TV was off to the side up against the wall. The two couches sat in the corner of the room near the first floor window on the right side of the house. Jessica could see that something was on Taylor's mind, so she decided to ask her. "Taylor, what's wrong? You should be happy about all this. This evil organization is finished because of you and your friends." Jessica then let out a big grin. "Jawsmon looked really cool. I think that's the first time I had ever seen him in battle!" Evander got a smug look and put his thumb on his chest. "Well, it was MY second time. And yes, Jawsmon is really cool." Evander said. Sharkmon laid on Taylor's chest smiling and enjoying the praise. Taylor looked up at her mother, who was in a white bathrobe. It was early in the morning and everyone was still in their pajamas. "Even though she was a bad person and even though she hurt many innocent Digimon, I can't help but feel like we did something wrong in killing her." Taylor said.
Jessica got up and went over to give her daughter a hug. "Honey, that's natural. Killing SHOULDN'T be easy. It SHOULD weigh on your heart, even when it's justified. Life is sacred, and it's clear to me that you understand that." Jessica said all the while embracing Taylor. She stopped hugging her and sat back down on her side of the couch area. "Another thing you should consider is that you and Jawsmon never actually intended to kill her, did you?" Jessica asked. "I know I didn't." Taylor said. "I just wanted to make her unable to fight anymore. I would have been happy just knocking her out." Sharkmon said.
Evander took a sip of his coffee. His coffee mug had v-pet sprite art of Agumon, Terriermon, and Ladybugmon on them. After he took a sip, he set his mug down on the coffee table. "Taylor, you have nothing to feel bad about. She was an evil serial killer and a xenophobe, and if you hadn't stopped her, she might have hurt even more Digimon, and maybe even people. As a detective, I've spoken to a few cops who have had to shoot people down on the job. One guy was threatening to slit the throat of a hostage before the officer put a bullet between his eyes. Another was a mass shooter who tried to mow random civilians down in a mall. What you and Jawsmon did was no different. So, please, try not to feel too guilty. Like your mother said, it's good to have it weigh on your heart to some extent, but remember that it was justified." Evander said.
"Ok." Taylor said. Agumon perked up, "Oh, by the way. Isn't school out for a while?" Agumon asked.
"Yep! And I'm going to take us all on a family vacation!" Taylor said.
"But what about All For One World?" Sharkmon asked.
Taylor looked down at Sharkmon with a smile and a giggle. "Did you forget what my crest is? I plan on using this trip to become one with the element of water so you can Digivolve to Ultimate. Everyone else can relax." Taylor said.
"Why don't we go to the Digital World? I heard there's a magnificent resort on the shores of the Folder Continent." Gabumon suggested. Taylor put Sharkmon over off to the side. She picked up her coffee mug that said "Daddy's Little Mermaid" with a heart on it. She took a sip of her coffee and then placed the cup down. She then let out a big smile like the (^_^) emoticon and said "That sounds good to me."
The next day….
The Glovions and the Glovions' Digimon were standing in the living room with suitcases and other bags packed, all except Evander's Agumon, who was absent. Evander's eyebrows furrowed and he looked over to the staircase which led up to the bedrooms. The Digimon all had a bedroom of their own, Taylor had her bedroom and there was the master bedroom reserved for Evander and Jessica. Evander put his hand on his hip and started tapping his foot. "Where's Augie? We need to check in by 10:00 am." Evander said in an annoyed tone. Taylor smiled at her dad and giggled. "I think I know. I'll go check on him." She said before turning around and running up the stairs. Taylor was carrying one of her bags on her person. "Hey! No running on the stairway! You could get hurt!" Evander cautioned. Taylor looked back at him and let out another giggle. "You're starting to sound like Martin's Mom." She said. By that, she meant overprotective. But she was only teasing. She knew her dad was right in cautioning her not to run up the stairs. Taylor walked up the stairs at a reasonable pace and walked up to the Digimon bedroom door. She opened it and peaked in. "Agumon?" She said. Agumon was trying on different pairs of swim trunks. He was in the process of pulling a pair down when Taylor peaked in. Agumon looked flustered and shouted, "Hey! I'm changing in here! Knock first!"
Taylor giggled some more. "What are you talking about? Agumon, you never wear clothes anyway!" Taylor said. Agumon stopped looking so embarrassed and laughed while rubbing the back of his head. "Oh yeah!" he said. Agumon had several small pairs of swim trunks laid out all over the bed. Some had flame imprints, others had different Deep Savers Digimon imprinted on them, and others were plain red, blue, green, and yellow. One pair had fire trucks imprinted all over them, and another had a floral pattern. "I just don't know which pair to wear. They're all so stylish! I thought I had decided on the floral pattern, but since we're not headed to Hawaii, I've changed my mind." Agumon said. Taylor reached into her bag and brought out a pair of blank swim trunks with an imprint of Omnimon on the left leg (the wearer's left anyway) and the name "Omnimon" going down the leg of the right leg. She held them up and smiled. "Agumon, why don't you wear these? You can use them as a springboard to flirt with girl Agumons and brag about how you used to be a member of the Royal Knights." Taylor said. Agumon folded his arms and shook his head. "Technically, Digimon are genderless. For another, no girl is going to be impressed that I'm a FORMER Royal Knight who had to be let go because I can't maintain that form permanently." Agumon argued.
"TAYLOR! AGUMON! LET'S GOOOOO!" Evander's voice yelled from downstairs. Taylor sighed. "We're booked for a whole week anyway. Just bring all of them and wear one a day." Taylor said. Agumon sighed. "Fine." He said, before picking up the different pairs of swim trunks and putting them in his suitcase.
Taylor and Agumon went downstairs and rejoined the group, all standing around in a circle. Taylor reached into her pocket and brought out her D-Eco. "Now, for this to work, we all need to hold hands and chant some spells in Latin. Does anybody know Latin? I don't want to summon Beelzebub like last time" Taylor joked. Terriermon tilted his head confused. "When was a Beelezemon here?" He asked. Taylor's attempt at humor had failed. "Ugh. Never mind." She said before twirling her Digivice's knob and selecting the "Open DigiGate" option from her Digivice menu. "Digi-Port Open! I always wanted to say that. Tee hee." Taylor said before giggling some more. She was giggling a bit excessively today, even for her, Evander thought. Then he smiled thinking that that must mean she's even happier than usual. She must be excited for this trip and the opportunity to train with her Digimon in a tropical area. A green portal opened up in front of them and they all walked through it. "Here we go! Ooooh! Ooooh! Ooooh! Oooh! Oooh Ooooh! Hey what's up superstar? Looks like you're going far." Ladybugmon sang as he flew through.
They exited the portal and found themselves on the beach of Folder Continent. A huge resort was nearby. Lots of Digimon were playing on the beach, and in the huge pool on the mainland. A little bit out to sea were a plethora of overwater bungalows (i.e houses on wooden structures floating above the ocean water). There were many humans, mermaids, and other races walking, running, jumping, and playing around too. Just as many Digimon came and went from the Digital World to the "human" world, the reverse was also true.
Taylor's eyes lit up when she saw the overwater bungalows. She clenched her fist and smiled a really big smile before jumping up with one leg curled in. "This resort looks amazing!" Taylor shouted. The Glovion family went up to the registry of the main building of the resort. Behind the desk was a boy with cat ears. He appeared to be around 15 years old and wore a dark green shirt that was open. He had some sea shells on a necklace and was wearing a pair of denim shorts. He was a demi-fellincius. The Glovions walked up to the front desk. The teenage boy with cat ears smiled. "Hello, how can I help you?" He asked. Taylor reached into her bag and brought out some paperwork and laid it on the desk. "I'm Taylor Glovion. I booked bungalow number 15." She said. The demi-felincius took the paperwork and examined it. "Yes, Miss Glovion." He said. He then reached over behind him and started searching for a key. "Now, where did I put number 15's key? These keys are never in the right order because of that new guy." He said. The keys were on the wall behind the front desk in a glass case. The cat-eared boy had his back to Taylor the whole time he was searching. Taylor noticed that the boy didn't have a tail. His shorts were too short to conceal a tail, so did he not have one? The boy looked back and saw Taylor looking at him. He turned back to start looking again. He finally found the key and said "Ah, here it is!" He turned back around and placed the key on the front desk.
"Thank you very much, sir." Taylor said. The clerk smiled at Taylor. "I saw you checking out my butt." He said. This caused Taylor to blush. Evander covered his face. "Has the time come for her to start being interested in boys? Oh, daddy's heart can't take this on top of all his other stress." He thought. "I-I-I-I no, you got the wrong idea! I was just wondering where your tail is! You don't seem to have one! Do you have one? If you don't, why don't you have a tail!?" Taylor said, motioning her hands back and forth. The boy chuckled a little bit. "Oh my gosh, Taylor! You can't just ask Demi-Felinciuses why they don't have tails!" Sharkmon scolded. "No, no. It's fine. I'm used to it. You see, I'm what's called a Catfish. We're a special breed of Demi-Felincius. My mom is a mermaid from Aquallia and my dad is a Felincius from Felinica. We catfish have cat ears, but no cat tails." He explained.
Taylor looked surprised. She had never heard of a catfish before. Immediately, Martin came to mind. If the two of them ever got married and had a kid, their child would probably be a catfish.
After the Glovions had unpacked their suitcases in their overwater bungalow and settled in, Taylor ran out to the front porch and immediately stripped down to her black tube top and a blue skirt. She turned to Sharkmon and said "Let's start bonding with nature!" Sharkmon gave a big toothy smile. "You got it, Taylor!" Sharkmon said. Taylor pulled her goggles over her eyes and then jumped off the porch of the bungalow and manifested a mermaid tail while in mid-air. Sharkmon followed suit.
Jessica also stripped down to a purple clam shell breasts covering and skirt. On the left side of the clam shells were V-Pet sprite art of Gabumon, Leormon, and PawnChessmon. They noticed them. Gabumon pointed at Jessica's left boob. "Hey, Leormon! Look! It's us!" Gabumon said. Leormon looked over and smiled. "You have sprite art of us on your clam bra?" Leormon said with a happy look on his face. Jessica nodded. "Yep. I had this custom made." Gabumon started jumping up and down. "Yayuh! I'm on a bra! Uh. I'm on a bra! Uh. Uh. A clam shell bra! Uh. A clam shell bra. Uh. Uh.!" Gabumon rapped. "That's awesome, Jessica!" Leormon said. Evander took his shirt off and pulled his pants off. He was wearing his swimsuit underneath. Evander was actually in quite good shape for someone in his 40s. He had no dad bod. He wasn't ripped, but wasn't chunky or skinny either. Mildly muscular might be best to describe him. His swimsuit had sprite art of Agumon, Terriermon, and Ladybugmon imprinted all over them. "Jessica's not the only one with their partners on swimwear." Evander said, smiling proudly. Agumon walked out of the bathroom with his Omnimon trunks on, which were actually the size made for a young child. Agumon looked surprised at Evander's swim trunks and Jessica's mermaid bra. "Umm….well, this is awkward. Now, I feel narcissistic." He said. He had himself on HIS swim trunks. Well, him and Gabumon.
They all went and jumped into the water.
Sometime later, Evander was floating in the ocean water in an inner tube, sipping on some lemonade. He had sunglasses on and was just chilling. "Now, this is just what the doctor ordered. I needed some rest and relaxation after all my detective work." Evander said. Terriermon swam by Evander doing a backstroke. Jessica then popped out of the water and folded both arms on Evander's inner tube. She put her chin on her arms. "My, my. What do we have here? A sailor has come by. I'm such a love struck mermaid. He's so handsome. I must have him. I hope I don't drown him like the last one." Jessica said, before grabbing the inner tube and flipping it over. She had made a reference to one of the myths about mermaids that she debunked in her book; namely the one about them falling in love with seafarers and dragging them to their deaths. She thought about singing "Jolly Sailor Bold", but she didn't know the lyrics. Evander came up out of the water and wiped the water from his eyes. He smirked at his wife. "Arrg! I'll get ye for that, ye sea witch! Nobody sinks me ship and gets away with it!" Evander said, impersonating a pirate. He dove at his wife and embraced her. "Now, ye shall suffer the penalty! Death by a thousand kisses! Arg! Arg! Arg!" He then proceeded to kiss Jessica's cheeks over and over while she giggled.
Agumon was nearby talking to another Agumon with prominent eyelashes and lipstick. He was on the beach leaning on an ice cream stand. "Yeah, I was a member of the Royal Knights. Gabumon and I, BUUUUT we died in the line of duty, got reborn and were assigned Digidestined partners. We can still become Omnimon, but only temporarily. Digivice induced digivolutions, You know how it is, babe. I can show you my Grey Sword sometime if you're interested." Evander's Agumon said. The lipstick wearing Agumon giggled while putting her claws up to her mouth.
Elsewhere, Taylor and Sharkmon were sitting on the ocean floor meditating. Taylor was sitting on a rock with her eyes closed and her hands together while her tail rested to the right of her. Sharkmon sat to her left, also mediating. They were perfectly still. "Are we one with the water yet? I'm bored. I'm also getting really hungry." Sharkmon said. Taylor didn't move, but she said "Don't talk. We need to concentrate. Also, you literally ate an hour ago." She said. They continued staying perfectly still. Perfectly still. They sat, and sat, and sat.
Just then, the boy who was at the front desk of the resort swam up to her. He indeed did have a mermaid tail and cat ears. He smiled and joked. "Boy, the statues in this area are almost lifelike." Taylor opened her eyes and saw the cat eared teen just floating there. "The desk clerk?" She said, obviously not expecting him to be there. Beside him was a little black haired mermaid, a small child. "Marnie?"
"This little girl said she was looking for you. A man named Kinandon came in and dropped her off. She says she's your cousin." The cat eared merman explained. Marnie was wearing a green tube top, a golden tiara, and gold arm bands on both of her arms, and her tail was the same light blue color as her dad's. Marnie smiled and swam up and hugged Taylor. "Taylor!" She said. She then let go and floated back some. "Daddy said I could stay with you and Uncle Evander and Aunt Jessica during your vacation." Marnie said. A look of realization came across Taylor's face. "Oh yeah! Mom told me you'd be joining us later." She said.
Marnie then began twirling around with her arms up high in the air with a big smile on her face. "Digimon World is so cool! There are so many Digis here! We don't have many Digis back at home." Marnie said. It was true, although many Digimon had begun living on Earth, not many had moved to any other inhabited planets. A few did, but finding a Digimon was a rarity.
"My name is Nekoroshi. Nekoroshi Sakanamaru." He said. He held his hand out to Taylor. "My shift is over. I came here to escort Princess Marnie to you. I figured it wouldn't be good to let a little girl come by herself." He said. Taylor shook Nekoroshi's hand. "Nice to meet you, Nekoroshi." She said. "And I'm Sharkmon; Taylor's partner Digimon!"
Nekoroshi then reached into his satchel and brought out a map. "Actually I had an ulterior motive. This is a treasure map. My father is an archeologist and he dug this up in some ruins here in this Digimon World. I was wondering if you'd like to help me search for the treasure." Nekoroshi said. Taylor frowned a little. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm in the middle of something very important." Taylor said. Sharkmon raised a little fin. "We're trying to become one with water so I can digivolve to Ultimate! You see, Taylor needs to become one with nature for that to happen." Sharkmon said. Nekoroshi frowned. He bowed his head in disappointment. "I see." He said in a saddened tone of voice.
Marnie swam over to Taylor and started pulling on her arm. "Taaaaayloooor, come oooooooon. I want to look for the tweasure!" Marnie whined. Taylor tilted her head and gave a sympathetic yet confused smile. "But you're literally a princess. Aren't you rich already? What do you need to find treasure for?" She asked before looking over to Nekoroshi, "And why don't you just go find it yourself?" Nekoroshi blushed. "Well uh….I…." he then bowed his head in shame. "I'm scared of going it alone and I thought your Digimon could protect me." Marnie looked up at Taylor with puppy dog eyes. "Please, Taylor! Pretty pretty pretty please!" She pleaded. Taylor repositioned her mermaid tail as it was beginning to fall asleep and gave her that pins and needles feeling. She closed her eyes and clasped her hands. "I need to become one with the water. Sharkmon digivolving to the Ultimate level is more important than any treasure." Marnie then scowled and started crying, although the tears weren't evident since they were already under water, and although the Digital World is different from the human world, it still doesn't run by Spongebob physics. "You're mean! I'm going to tell my dad that you were mean to me you….you….meanie!" Marnie said while crying. Marnie wasn't used to not getting her way. Taylor looked annoyed, eyes still closed and hands still clasped. "Fine." She said.
She then folded her arms. "If we're going to hunt for treasure, let's at least do it right. I'm Captain Anastasia Posiedon of the S.S Knowledge." Taylor said before pointing to Sharkmon. "This is me Gunner; Sharp-Toothed Shane!" She was speaking with a pirate accent. She then pointed to Nekoroshi, "And you are me sailing master; Cat Eared Joe!" She then pointed down at Marnie. "You are me first mate; Scully!"
Sharkmon looked upset. "Hey, why can't I be your first mate? And what's a Gunner?" He complained. Taylor looked back at him and giggled. "A gunner is someone who manages the artillery on a pirate ship. I figure if we get attacked by some Digimon, that's exactly the kind of role you'll fill. Except your artillery are your teeth and fists." Taylor explained.
Nekoroshi also looked upset. "I'm the one who found the map first, why can't I be the captain?" He asked. Taylor looked over to find a rusty trident laying on the ground. She also grabbed a handful of orange seaweed (apparently, such a thing exists in the Digital World) and put a handful of it on her head, tucking it in between the straps of her goggles to hold it in place. She picked it up and held it up high. "Arrggg, because I be no mere pirate! I am Anastasia Poseidon! Goddess of the sea! If ye don't like it, ye will walk the plank!" Taylor responded. Nekoroshi sighed and put a hand on his hip. "Aye aye Captain Anastasia! Cat-eared Joe reporting for duty!" He said.
Taylor looked around, "Argg, now where's me ship?" She looked over to see a Kommondomon swimming by. Taylor's eyes lit up and she clasped her hands next to her face, and squealed. "Kommondomon; a Champion Level beast and cyborg Digimon. This Digimon is mainly used as transport for Digimon throughout the Digital World. Kommondomon hates getting dirty and loves getting washed. If it is attacked while transporting passengers, it will fight back with its Wi-Wiper attack!" Taylor explained. Taylor then shook her head and raised a fist, making an intimidating looking facial expression. "I-I mean, arg, there's me ship!" She said, realizing she had broken character to geek out over a Digimon. Taylor then swam over to the Kommandomon. "Hello, Kommondomon? Look. Uhh….some friends of mine are playing a game of pretend. We're pretending to be pirates looking for treasure, would you like to play with us and pretend to be our ship?" Taylor asked. Taylor thought it was a long shot. Kommondomon basically acted as Digimon Uber services in her version of the Digital World, and she was worried he might be on his way to pick someone up. Additionally, as soon as the words left her mouth, it occurred to her that although Kommondomon are intelligent, they don't possess the capacity for speech. They bark and whimper like dogs. How would Kommondomon communicate his (her?) answer? Taylor soon realized she was overthinking. The Kommondomon nodded yes to Taylor's delight. She smiled "Oh, thank you, Kommondomon!" Taylor said in a cheerful tone before giggling.
Soon, Captain Anastasia (i.e Taylor), Sailing Master Cat-Eared Joe (i.e Nekoroshi), gunner Sharp-Tooth Shane (i.e Sharkmon), and First Mate Scully (i.e Marnie) were off, sailing on the S.S Knowledge (i.e Kommondomon). The orange seaweed Taylor had put on her head as a makeshift wig to mimic her mom's hair was flowing as they traveled on the back of Kommondomon. Taylor looked back at Marnie. "Arrg. First Mate Scully, we've made it past the Betamon reef. Where to next?" She asked. Marnie looked a little nervous. "Umm…I don't know how to read yet." She said. Everyone looked worried. Were they really going the right way? Marnie noticed how worried they looked and smiled nervously. "Oh! But I can read the little squiggly line on the map at least. I don't know what the next place is called, but on the map where the X is are pictures of broken boats." Marnie explained. Taylor/Anastasia raised her fist. "Arg! Arg! Arg! That's me first mate for ye! That thar be an abandoned shipyard! Definitely treasure be thar!" She said.
Just then, they came across a group of Betamon attacking a small green scaly Digimon with a duck like bill, a blue cape, and webbed hands and feet. It was Kappamon! "Arg! That young mermaid out at sea be in trouble! Gunner! Fire the artillery!" Taylor said as she looked at the young Digimon getting attacked. Sharkmon looked at Taylor and saluted. "Aye aye, Captain Anastasia! Sharp-Toothed Shane is on it!" Sharkmon said before jumping off the Kommondomon and heading towards the group of green assailants. "Rolling Shark!" Sharkmon attacked. One of the Betamon got hit and got knocked back. Sharkmon kept rolling and headed towards one of the other ones. There were about 5 in the group. "Rolling Shark!" He yelled. The Betamon went sailing through the water! Sharkmon then turned towards another Betamon. This Betamon had readied itself for a counter attack, "Electric Shock!" Betamon shouted as it sent out 1 MV of electric current to strike the opponent. Sharkmon got hit and shouted as it got electricuted. Sharkmon then stood up, glared at the Betamon that attacked him and growled. "You'll pay for that! Baby Bite!" Sharkmon bit down on the Betamon and it cried out in pain. "Ahh! Stop! That hurts!" The other two Betamon looked nervous. "Let's-Let's get out of here!" It said. They then took off running. Kappamon stood up and walked over to Sharkmon. "Thank you for saving me." She said. "Why were those guys attacking you?" Sharkmon asked. "Because they think I'm ugly. It happens a lot." Kappamon replied.
Taylor then leaned over the railing on the back of Kommondomon and waved. "Yo! Kappamon! No time no see!" Kappamon looked up and saw Taylor waving. "Taylor? Is that you? My, my, you've grown! So humans really do digivolve like us!" Kappamon said. Taylor cleared her throat. "Excuse YOU, I am only HALF human on my father's side!" She said. Nekoroshi's eyebrows shot up. "So…you're just like me? A hybrid?" He said in a surprised tone of voice. Taylor looked back and smiled. "Yep." She then placed a hand on her goggles. "And these eyes of mine are my dad's. They can't handle salt water, so I wear goggles to keep water out. I used to be really embarrassed about this, but a good friend of mine told me that my human and mermaid features are proof of my mom and dad's love for each other." Taylor explained.
After Kappamon was on the back of Kommondomon, she explained why she was being attacked. Taylor frowned. "That's terrible! I'm so sorry." Taylor then looked over to Sharkmon. "Sharkmon, this is Kappamon. She's an old friend of my mother's. They met before I was born. Kappamon, this is Sharkmon, my Digimon partner." Taylor said. Sharkmon hopped over to Kappamon and extended a claw for a shake. "Nice to meet you, Kappamon." "And it's nice to meet you too, Sharkmon."
Nekoroshi swam over and knelt down. "I'm Nekoroshi. It's nice to meet you." They shook hands. Marnie also swam over to shake Kappamon's hand. "And I'm Marnie. I'm Taylor's cousin. By the way, I don't think you're ugly at all!" Marnie said. Kappamon then looked over to Taylor with a confused facial expression. "Taylor, I've been meaning to ask you this since the moment I first saw you; what in blazes is on your head?" She asked. Taylor looked confused initially, then reached up and touched her head. She had forgotten that she put orange seaweed up there to mimic her mom's hair. She blushed. "Oh, uh…well….I'm kind of pretending to be….my mom. Well, my mom if she were a pirate captain. Captain Anastasia." She explained.
"And I'm the Gunner; Sharp-Toothed Shane!" said Sharkmon.
"I'm the First Mate; Scully." said Marnie.
"And I'm the sail master; Cat-Eared Joe." said Nekoroshi.
Taylor smiled and then giggled. "We're pretending to be pirates. Buuuuut, we ARE on a real treasure hunt. Want to come aboard?" Taylor asked. Kappamon smiled and nodded. "You bet!" Then she stood up and saluted Taylor. "I-I mean, it would be an honor, Captain Anastasia!"
Taylor then turned to Nekoroshi and pointed at him. "Arg! Then set sails, Cat Eared Joe! To the treasure!" She said, resuming her pirate accent. Nekoroshi saluted. "Aye aye, Captain!" He replied. The Kommondomon took off again.
Before too long, they came across the abandoned shipyard. Ships broken in half were all over the place. Rotting sail ships with holes in them, moss growing over them, and other signs of decay littered the area. Nekoroshi smiled and said "This looks like the spot, captain." Taylor nodded. "Arg! That it be, Cat Eared Joe. That it be." She said.
Taylor, Sharkmon, Kappamon, Marnie, and Nekoroshi swam into one of the ships. Their eyes lit up as they saw a HUGE pile of golden coins mixed in with diamonds, pearls, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. "There really is treasure! Hot dog!" Nekoroshi exclaimed happily. "Hot dogs!? Where!? Where!? I loOOOOOOVE hot dogs!" Sharkmon exclaimed, looking around frantically expecting to find a plate of hot dogs. Taylor turned and grinned. "Arg! Arg! Arg! We did it, crew! Now let's plunder the place and divide up the shares equally!"
They turned, swam over to the large mountain of treasure, and started filling their bags with it. Taylor grinned. "Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Whoever's ship sank here must have been filthy stinking rich!" Taylor said. "Indeed. I might be able to stop working at the resort with all this loot. I might not ever need to work again." Nekoroshi said. Sharkmon bounced up and down with a happy smile on his face. "Be sure to buy me lots of hot dogs, okay, Taylor?" Sharkmon said. Taylor looked back while continuing to scoop treasure into her bag. "Ok, Sharkmon." She said.
"WHAT?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY TREASURE!?!?!?" Boomed a deep raspy voice from behind them. The gang looked to see a buff humanoid fish looking man. He had a long fishlike body for a head, very muscular arms, sharp teeth, golden armor coating his head, a sharp spike for a weapon in his right hand, and a lobster claw for a left arm. He appeared to be about 15 feet tall! Taylor gasped. "Regalecusmon! He's a Mega level Digimon of the Deep Savers field. Fun fact; when I first saw a Regalecusmon in a book, I thought he would be in the Dragon's Roar field as well as Deep Savers, but it turns out he isn't. He's a virus type, and is known for pirating loot from Digimon across the Digital World." Taylor said. Regalecusmon grit his teeth and tilted his head off to the side. "You seem to know a lot about me, girl." He said. Taylor smiled and put her thumb on her chest right in the middle of her black tube top. "Well, I AM going to be a Digimon Researcher when I grow up." She said. Regalecusmon growled. "Why are you stealing my treasure?" He asked. Taylor and the others looked surprised.
"Y-YOUR treasure?" Taylor said.
"That's right. All of this belongs to me." He said.
"No, it doesn't!" shouted another voice. They all looked to see three Mermaidmon floating near the entrance. They crossed their golden anchors Three Muskateers style.
"Kanami!"
"Asami!"
"Harumi!"
They said their names individually before raising their arms and saying in unison, "We're The Mermaidmon Clique!" A look of realization came across Sharkmon and Taylor's faces. They remembered these three from when C.A.D had unleashed Project Red Mark Riot. They helped Jawsmon fight other Red Marked Digimon after Jawsmon freed them from Red Marks of their own. The three blonde mermaid Digimon looked angry. One of them pointed to Ragalecusmon and shouted, "This guy is a thief! All of that treasure belongs to us! He came into our hideout and stole every bit of it right from under our noses!" Another nodded with her arms folded and her eyes closed. "That's right." Taylor took the orange seaweed off of her head. She didn't want to look ridiculous in what she was anticipating to be an intense fight. She reached into her pocket and brought out her Digivice. "These Mermaidmon are our friends. If you stole from them, then we will help them get it back." Taylor said. "That's right. I may look small now, but just wait until I digivolve! Stealing what belongs to others is wrong!" Sharkmon said.
Ragalecusmon laughed. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking, girly? This treasure isn't rightfully mine, I'll admit that. I DID steal it from The Mermaidmon Clique, BUT…it aint theirs either! They stole it from a wealthy businessman who happened to be visiting the Digital World. All I did was steal what was already stolen. So…in a way, I aint done nothin' wrong." Ragelecusmon said. He spoke with a sort of western southern accent, like a Texas Outlaw.
Taylor put her index finger and thumb over her chin and rubbed her chin. "I see. Yes, I can see how you can make the argument that property rights aren't violated if the victim doesn't have the right to the property to begin with. Violation of one's property rights presupposes them having rights to that property to begin with." Taylor said. One of the Mermaidmon's angrily pointed at Taylor. "HEY! Whose side are you on! Don't forget that we helped you recently! Show some appreciation and help us get our loot back!" She shouted. Another Mermaidmon lowered her arm for her. "Calm down, Asami." She said.
"I, Kanami; head of The Mermaidmon Clique, will fight for our hard earned loot!"
"And I, Asami, shall assist you."
"And I, Harumi, will give it my all."
Kanami hurled her golden anchor at Regalecusmon. "Nothern Cross Bomber!" She shouted. Ragalecusmon scoffed and simply deflected the large golden anchor with the huge lobster claw on his left arm. "Pathetic." He said before swimming over to her. "Briona Strike!" He shouted! This attack pierces the enemy using the sword in its right hand, along with a flash of lightning. Kanami had brought her golden anchor back and was able to block the sword, preventing it from piercing her, but she still got shocked by the lightning blast. Kanami screamed in pain as the lightning coursed through her body. "Kanami!" cried one of the three. Ragalecusmon turned to the one who cried out Kanami's name and lunged at her. He grabbed her by the throat with his lobster claw hand. "You're Asami, aren't you? You're about to feel a little pinch, but it'll be over quickly." He said tightening his grip around the Mermaidmon's throat. She grunted and winced in pain. He was going to decapitate her.
Taylor held out her Digivice and the words "DIGIVOLUTION" scrolled across the screen in big green words across a black screen. Then light shot out and enveloped Sharkmon.
"Sharkmon digivolve to….Jawsmon!"
Jawsmon used his powerful muscular legs to lunge at Ragalecusmon at 100 miles per hour! He slammed into the big sharklike, lobsterlike man Digimon and sent him flying 50 feet outside of the sunken ship! Asami the Mermaidmon dropped to the ground. Taylor swam over to assist her. "Asami, are you ok?" Taylor asked. "Yeah. Somehow." She replied. She rubbed the parts of her neck where Regalecusmon had begun squeezing.
Outside, Ragalecusmon counterattacked by kicking Jawsmon off of him. "I was plannin' on leavin' you alone. I only have beef with the Mermaidmon, but…" He hit Jawsmon in the jaw with his large lobster claw of a hand before finishing his sentence, "I've changed my mind!"
"Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon shouted as he bit down on Ragalecusmon. Ragalecusmon was being bitten on the lobster claw. He didn't act like he was experiencing too much pain from the bite. The other hand held his sword. Ragelecusmon planned on impaling the Digimon while he was busy munching on his arm. "Brionna Strike!" Jawsmon, however, reached up and grabbed Ragalecusmon's sword arm and stopped the sword from impaling him. Jawsmon then threw Ragalecusmon over his shoulder and slammed him back first on the ground. Ragalecusmon got up and dusted himself off. He chuckled, "Not bad, boy. Not bad at all. But you're still gonna lose this." Ragalecusmon said.
Inside the ship, the merchildren and Mermaidmon watched Jawsmon's fight. Marnie tugged at Taylor's satchel with a worried look on her face. "Will Jawsmon be ok?" She asked. Taylor looked down at her and smiled. "Of course. Jawsmon is really strong." Taylor replied.
Asami stopped rubbing her throat and looked over to her other Mermaidmon friends. "We can't just let him do the fighting for us. Our pride as pirates will be crushed if we don't get the loot back ourselves." She said. They nodded. "Well said, Asami." Said Harumi.
They all swam towards Ragalecusmon and hurled their golden anchors at them at the same time. "Northern Cross Bomber!" They all shouted simultaneously. Ragalecusmon jumped upward and dodged all 3 of the attacks. He then swam over to The Mermaidmon Clique at blinding speed. He grabbed Kanami by the neck and threw her to the ocean floor! Then he started stomping on her abdomen over and over! Kanami's eyes went wide with shock and pain. The other Mermaidmon came up from behind and tried to rescue Kanami by banging him in the back of the head with their anchors - their Nothern Cross Bomber - , but before any of their anchors could make contact, Ragalecusmon jumped up again, and their anchors slammed right into Kanami's gut! "KANAMI!" Asami and Harumi shouted. Ragalecusmon then swam over to Harumi. "Brionna Strike!" He shouted as he swung his sword which was crackling with lightning. Harumi got slashed and fried with the sword! She screamed in pain, and she had a large slash wound oozing dark blue blood into the water! Before Harumi could recover, Ragalecusmon delivered a hard jab to her abdomen with his large lobster claw.
Jawsmon came up from behind and tried to put Ragalecusmon in a choke hold. "Wouldn't you rather fight me than some little girls?" Jawsmon taunted. Ragalecusmon grabbed Jawsmon from behind and slammed him on the ground in front of him. Ragalecusmon tried to impale Jawsmon with his sword, but Jawsmon rolled her quickly to evade it. Jawsmon stood back up and prepared for a counter strike. "Power Pummeling! Power Pummeling! Power Pummeling! Power Pummeling!" Jawsmon shouted as he punched his enemy with his big muscular arms over and over. Ragalecusmon put both his arms up and simply blocked the punches. As powerful as Jawsmon's punches were, and as big and muscular as his arms were, his punches didn't seem to be doing that much damage.
Taylor swam over to Harumi and examined her injury. "Harumi, please be ok!" Taylor said. Harumi got back up, about to go rejoin the fight, when Taylor grabbed her arm. "Harumi, please! Don't! He's too strong for you! He's a Mega!" Taylor said. "This is also about our pride as pirates. I can't just stand back and watch. Besides, I can't let Jawsmon do this alone! He helped us when C.A.D had us under the control of the Red Marks. I couldn't live with myself if he got hurt fighting a battle that's ours." Harumi said. Harumi then swam off in Ragalecusmon's direction. Taylor looked down and closed her eyes. She held her hand up to her chest. "A mermaid who wants to protect Jawsmon? I get it. I've been there. When Sharkmon was getting stomped by that Gizumon XT, I couldn't sit back and do anything either. I rammed into it with my own body, just hoping I could do SOMETHING to help. In the end, I did help…by being Sharkmon's source of digivolution." Taylor thought to herself. Taylor opened her eyes, lowered her arm, and lifted up her head. "Very well, go for it, Harumi." Taylor said under her breath.
The Crest Of Water began glowing slightly in the back of Taylor's digivice!
Jawsmon stopped punching Ragalecusmon. "Heh heh! You gettin' tired, boy?" He taunted. He then took his sword and started swinging it at Jawsmon over and over with Jawsmon jumping back to avoid every slash. "You're quick on your feet, boy! But how long can you keep this up?" Ragalecusmon said while swinging his sword. Eventually, one of the slices hit Jawsmon's arm, sending out some dark blue blood oozing into the water. Ragalecusmon smiled and laughed. "You can't beat me! You see this sword I'm usin'? The sword that just cut you? I made it from the horn of a Zudomon that I killed." Ragelecusmon bragged.
Ragalecusmon kept swinging his sword and Jawsmon kept dodging. Jawsmon then tripped over a rock and fell on his back! "You're mine, boy!" He shouted before bringing his Zudomon-horn-sword down upon Jawsmon. Taylor watched in fear, "Jawsmon! Dodge!" She shouted. Harumi and Asami came up from behind him and both of them hit him in the head with their golden anchors. Ragalecusmon held his head and grunted, "Ah, that's smarts!" He then turned around and slashed all three of the Mermaidmon multiple times with his sword.
The Mermaidmon cried out in pain as they floated down to the floor on their backs. Taylor looked aghast at the sight of blue blood filling the water. "Ragalecusmon is just too powerful!" Kappamon said. Ragalecusmon looked down at the three Mermaidmon. "Pathetic." He said. Jawsmon used this as an opportunity to jump up and bite down hard on Ragalecusmon's shoulder. "Titanic Bite!" He shouted. However, he had bitten the arm with the lobster claw like armor, and his bite didn't even leave any dents! Ragalecusmon reached up, grabbed Jawsmon and threw him down to the ground.
Taylor looked really worried. "Darn. We can't seem to beat him! If only I could become one with the water somehow!" Taylor said. Jawsmon looked over to Taylor. "Taylor….I think you're already one with the water! You're a mermaid after all! I haven't known you for more than a few weeks, but I know that if anyone deeply loves the ocean, it's you. You've befriended many Deep Savers Digimon back in your world, including me. You've even befriended dolphins and crabs." Jawsmon said, as he was running over to her. Taylor placed her hand on one of Jawsmon's hands and looked Jawsmon in the eyes. "But…if that were enough, you'd be able to digivolve to Ultimate already. I don't think just being a thalassophile is enough. " Taylor said. Jawsmon looked confused. "A Thalalalawhat?" Taylor giggled. "I just mean that simply loving being in the water is not the same as being one with it." Taylor replied.
The Mermaidmon managed to have gotten up and swam over to Taylor, their wounds still oozing blue blood. "What…does it mean to be one…with something? It seems to me….that you're unified with it, in sync, you know what I mean? Like me and my sisters. We…we coordinate our attacks in perfect sync. We don't even need to verbally communicate most of the time." Kanami said. Harumi nodded. "Yeah…Kanami might be onto something. if you can get in sync with us…who are aquatic creatures…maybe that's what your crest needs." Harumi said. Taylor took their words into consideration. "Alright. Then I want you all to follow my commands. I'll tell you which attacks to use and how, and then you do it. I can't be too explicit with the details, so you'll have to use your heads to some extent to figure out what I mean. Maybe that way our hearts can become as one." Taylor said. Everyone put their hands/claws together. "Let's do it." they said. Kappamon swam over and put her paw in the group as well. "Don't leave me out." Kappamon said.
Ragalecusmon was just standing there with his arms folded. He looked like he was getting pretty annoyed. "Y'all strategizin' over there? I hope y'all realize that that's about as pointless as tryin' to herd cats. It's as pointless as gettin' blood from a turnip." Ragalecusmon said. Taylor and all of the Digimon turned to face their 15 foot tall sharklike foe. Taylor had a very determined expression on her face. "Let's do it! Jawsmon! Eat a lobster dinner! Harumi and Kanami, I want you to catch a tiger by the toe! If he hollers, let him go! Asami, anchors away dead aHEAD! Kappamon! Go in ARMED!" Taylor said.
They all looked at her confused. What did she mean? It was like she was speaking in riddles. Indeed, she was. A look of realization came across Jawsmon's face. Eat a lobster dinner? Of course! Ragalecusmon's arm! Jawsmon used his powerful legs to jettison himself in Ragalecusmon's direction. He took a big bite on his arm. But he bit the lobster arm in such a way as to close the pincers shut and prevent it from opening. Harumi and Kanami also realized what Taylor meant by "Catch a tiger by the toe." They swam up to Ragalecusmon and grabbed a hold of his shins. Kappamon looked at what Jawsmon and the Mermaidmon were doing and inferred that Taylor's plan was to pin Ragalecusmon down so that Asami could fire an attack at him without him dodging. Kappamon swam over to Ragalecusmon and grabbed his sword right out of his hand and swam off with it! He was too busy trying to fend off these two Mermaidmon and one Jawsmon that were sticking to him like leeches to even notice Kappamon approaching, so it was easy! While the Digimon were doing this, Taylor's crest of water, snuggly tucked into the slot in the back of her digivice, began glowing more brightly than before. Asami, however, didn't realize what was going on. "Asami!" Taylor called out. Asami looked over at Taylor, a concerned expression on her face because she didn't understand Taylor's command. "I said…ANCHORS away!" Taylor was pointing down to the golden anchor she was holding. Asami's eyes widened and mouth opened in realization. "Oooh!" Asami then hurled her golden anchor at Ragalecusmon's head. "Nothern Cross Bomber!" She shouted.
The anchor hit Ragalecusmon in the head, right between the eyes. He grunted in pain as the huge metal anchor slammed into his head at high speed. "Don't stop! Anchors away!" Taylor shouted. Asami the Mermaidmon attacked Ragalecusmon with her golden anchor over and over and over. It's not so much that the Digimon had successfully pinned him down. Ragalecusmon was too large and strong for a couple of Mermaidmon or even Jawsmon to stop his movement. But they were an annoyance, and he was so busy trying to get them off of him that he wasn't paying attention when Asami began attacking him. Taylor's Crest Of Water then began to shine even more brightly.
Ragalecusmon then slammed his lobster claw up against a large black anchor that was nearby. He slammed Jawsmon into it over and over until Jawsmon's grip on Ragalecusmon's claw loosened and he was freed! "Annoyin' varmints!" Ragalecusmon said. He then reached down and began pummeling the Mermaidmon clinging to his legs over and over. "Y'all Mermaidmon are prettier than a peach. I hate hittin' pretty little thangs like you, but I can't stand women who are more clingy than flies on a pile of manure." Ragelecusmon said as he pounded the two Mermaidmons over and over with his lobster claw and hand. They refused to let go. "Kanami! Harumi! Fall back!" Taylor shouted. The two Mermaidmon did as they were told and got some distance between them and their foe.
Taylor then shouted, "Let's go on a trip!" They floated in the water for a moment puzzled. Taylor then decided to add another clue, "Let's go on a trip. Perhaps in the FALL!" The Mermaidmon figured it out! They swam around Ragalecusmon quickly in circles and used the chains attached to their golden anchors to tie him up! Ragalecusmon tried to hit the Mermaidmon as they all swam around him, but his swings missed every time. When the three Mermaidmon began swimming away from Ragalecusmon, he tried to chase after them. "What are you varmints doin'!?" He shouted. He then noticed that he couldn't move his legs forward! He fell over right on his face!
Taylor then looked over to Jawsmon, "I want to watch The Titanic!" She shouted. Jawsmon didn't even have to think about this one. He realized she was referring to his attack name; Titanic Bite. Jawsmon swam up and chomped down hard on the fish like body extending from Ragalecusmon's head. Taylor's crest was becoming more and more luminescent. Ragalecusmon reached back, grabbed Jawsmon, and hurled him! Jawsmon slammed into Taylor and knocked her back into the wall of one of the sunken ship. Jawsmon quickly got up and looked down at his partner. "Taylor! Taylor! Are you ok!?" He asked in a panic. Jawsmon gasped as he noticed that Taylor's goggles had gotten cockeyed on her face! "Taylor! Your goggles!" He said. Taylor stood up and took the goggles off of her head. Through force of sheer willpower, she opened her eyes and let the salt water come flowing in. She grunted and moaned as the water stung her eyes. "I won't let a little sea water stop me! Go! Fight!" Taylor said. Jawsmon nodded. Jawsmon used his powerful legs to jettison himself in Ragalecusmon's direction. He jumped up high and then came down on Ragalecusmon. "Shark Body Ram!" Jawsmon shouted before slamming into their foe.
"Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon attacked over and over.
Ragalecusmon managed to get the chains the Mermaidmon had wrapped around his legs off of him. He stood up and then grabbed Jawsmon with the pincers of his lobster claw. "I'm gettin' real tired of this! I'm gonna end this." Ragalecusmon said as he walked towards Taylor, the Mermaidmon, and Kappamon. Nekoroshi and Marnie were in a corner. Neokoroshi had taken her there to keep her away from the battle so she didn't get hurt.
Electricity started crackling around Ragalecusmon's lobster claw. Taylor saw this and looked over at everyone. "Touch the black anchor!" The three Mermaidmon, Kappamon, Taylor, Marnie, and Nekoroshi quickly swam over to a big metal anchor that was in the room and placed their hands on it. "Reactor Discharge!" Ragalecusmon shouted! A large blast of lightning shot out of his pincer and hit Jawsmon at point blank range! Jawsmon shouted loudly as he was sent back several feet, being fried by the lightning coming out of Ragalecusmon's claw. Taylor gasped. "Jawsmon!" She shouted. Jawsmon laid there. He had completely lost consciousness. He was burned from head to toe. The electricity spread to everyone else in the area too, but Taylor, Marnie, Nekoroshi, and The Mermaidmon Clique avoided being electrocuted because they used the sunken ship's anchor as a ground. The electric current went into the anchor and greatly reduced the amount of shock they received. Taylor's crest was now shining.
Taylor looked in distress over at Jawsmon who was just lying unconscious on the ground. "Jawsmon! Get up! Now!" She shouted. Ragalecusmon looked over at the group touching the anchor. "Touchin' a metal object to ground yourselves was a wise decision. You certainly are a smart little mermaid." Ragalecusmon said. Ragalecusmon started walking over in their direction. "Alright. If I can't shock you, I'll just pummel you to death!" Ragalecusmon said. Taylor looked over to Jawsmon. "JAWSMON!" She shouted. Taylor's crest was now shining so bright that it blinded Ragalecusmon. He held his lobster arm up to shield himself from the blue light coming from the pendant.
Taylor's Digivice then had the words "DIGIVOLUTION" scroll across the screen. One of the streams of blue light from the pendant shot off of the digivice and enveloped Jawsmon! Jawsmon's eyes opened wide immediately upon being hit by the light!
"Jawsmon digivolve to….WarJawsmon!"
WarJawsmon looked like Jawsmon, but was now holding two gatling guns in each arm. He wore a dark green army helmet on his head, and had two bandoliers going across his chest. He had a missile strapped to his back. On his right shoulder, "Taylor Glovion" was written in DigiCode. Everyone looked excited. "He did it! Jawsmon digivolved!" Nekoroshi observed. "Kick his butt! Kick his butt!" Marnie cheered.
WarJawsmon aimed his gatling guns at Ragalecusmon. "Great White Gatling!" WarJawsmon shouted, firing a plethora of bullets from his gun. Ragalecusmon got hit with the bullets and grunted in pain. "Ah! That really stings!" He shouted. Ragalecusmon then saw his sword. He picked it up and lunged at WarJawsmon. "Brionna Strike!" Ragalecusmon shouted, piercing the enemy with the sword in his right hand along with a flash of lightning. WarJawsmon blocked the sword strike with one of his gatling guns. He dug the other gatling gun into the ground to prevent electric shock. WarJawsmon then smacked Ragalecusmon with the gatling gun he had dug into the ground. WarJawsmon grabbed Ragalecusmon's face and then used his powerful legs to jump forward. The two traveled a bit away from the group and got into an open ocean area. WarJawsmon then let go of Ragalecusmon's face and jumped back. He hunched over and shouted "Marine Missile!" before firing the missile on his back fired at Ragalecusmon! The missile exploded when it hit. The explosion enveloped everything within a 100 yard radius! Ragalecusmon fell to the ground, grunting and moaning in pain. "Alright! ALRIGHT! I give up! You win! Take the treasure and go!" Ragelcusmon said.
Above the surface, Evander, Jessica, and their Digimon were playing around in the water. Some bubbles came up in the water from behind Agumon, who was with the feminine looking Agumon from earlier. Evander's Agumon blushed. "Th-that wasn't me! I swear!" Agumon was telling the truth. The bubbles were an after effect of the large explosion under the ocean a few miles away. The feminine looking Agumon giggled.
WarJawsmon had made it back to the sunken ship area where everyone else and the pile of treasure was. He was carrying Ragalecusmon like a wounded soldier. WarJawsmon set Ragalecusmon down on the ground. Taylor looked at her newly digivolved Digimon and she smiled brightly and her eyes sparkled. She swam up to WarJawsmon and gave him a big hug. "Wow! That was amazing, WarJawsmon! Just amazing!" She said. WarJawsmon smiled. "Me? Who coordinated all of those attacks and made the riddles easy enough for us to understand, but not Ragelecusmon? Taylor….you aren't just one with us sea creatures…you're really intelligent!" He said.
"He's right. Having us grab that big metal anchor so we wouldn't get shocked was quick thinking." Nekoroshi said.
Taylor's eyes were really bloodshot from being agitated by the sea water. She was starting to look a little bashful. "Well, I, you know…"
"Hey! You have your eyes open underwater without goggles!" WarJawsmon observed.
"Yeah, well…it's REALLY hurting, but I decided to endure it until we beat him." Taylor said. Taylor then turned to The Mermaidmon Clique. "I want you to take this huge pile of treasure and return it to the people you stole it from." Taylor said. "Aww!" "No way!" "You serious?" They complained. Taylor folded her arms and scowled. "Hey! You owe us for saving your tails!" She said. Kanami sighed. "Fine. I guess we do owe you. But just this once." WarJawsmon looked surprised. "Really? You're going to return it?" He asked. Harumi winked at him. "Hey, who says there's no honor among thieves?" She said.
Later…
Taylor and Sharkmon, as well as Marnie, Nekoroshi, and Kappamon had returned to the beach. It was late in the day. "Even though we didn't get any treasure, it was still a lot of fun." Nekoroshi said. "I agree, aside from Regalecusmon." Taylor said. "We're going to head back now." Sharkmon said. Taylor, Sharkmon, and Kappamon were headed back to overwater bungalow number 15. Nekoroshi waved at them, seeing them off. "Let's hang out again sometime!" He said.
