The Gizumon XT fired its laser at the trembling nun Digimon. Just then, just then something stopped it. Sistermon Ciel looked to see an orange haired woman floating in mid-air. She had a mermaid tail, a clamshell-like bikini top, and was glowing a golden aura. She was holding a trident. It was Jessica. "I saw the news 5 minutes ago, so I swam over here as fast as I could. Sorry, I'm late." Jessica said. Five minutes! It took her five minutes using her Poseidon powers to traverse the Pacific Ocean and swim to New York! She swung her trident, unleashing massive shards of ice and thoroughly destroyed the Gizumon in seconds!
Later, Jessica, Emmett, Dovemon, and Lopmon were all sitting in the living room of the Liberty Residence. Jessica had just finished explaining everything to Emily and Emmett. Jessica was sitting in a chair adjacent to the couch that the blonde mother and son and their Digimon were sitting on. Jessica had a towel folded up on the armrest of her chair which she had used to dry off. She was wearing a pink clam shell bra/bikini top and an Aqualian loincloth. "I see. So the children of the other Digidestined also became Digidestined themselves." Emily said. "And you think some organization is using these Red Mark things and Gizumon for something?" Dovemon summarized. Jessica nodded. "Yes. We're still gathering various clues. But it's obvious that the Digital World is reaching out to our children for help, partnering them with Digimon and giving them Digivices. A child doesn't receive a Digivice unless he is destined to save the Digimon from something terrible." Jessica said. "That explains the name Digidestined." Dovemon observed. "Among the clues we've gathered is that all of the Digimon partners correspond to the four elements of nature; Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. It's pretty obvious that Dovemon represents air. Another clue is that every enemy that they first defeated was an Ultimate level Digimon. They won the battle while only digivolving to the Champion stage. While it isn't impossible for Digimon to defeat Digimon at a higher level than they are - type match ups, attributes, and strategy can make a big difference - nevertheless they won with so much ease that we think they're strong for their Digivolutionary stages. A third clue is that all of the new partner Digimon are absent from the Digimon Analyzer. And a fourth clue is that each and every one of them is afflicted with amnesia. All of these things are things that the new partner Digimon have in common with each other." Jessica said.
Dovemon raised one of her wings. "Yep. I can't remember anything beyond the past few days. I appeared in this world and wandered around aimlessly until I met Emmett." She said.
Emily looked to her right and saw that Emmett's arms were severely bruised from the wrist to the elbow. Emily grabbed one of his arms gently and inspected it. "This is from where you tried to catch me earlier, isn't it?" Emily observed. Emmett winced at the touch. "Yeah." He said. "Emmett, I think you should live in Japan for a while. When Digidestined are on a mission, it's good for them to stick together." Emily said. Emmett looked surprised at the suggestion. "No. I don't want to leave you alone." Emmett said. Lopmon cleared her throat. "What am I, chopped liver?" She said, sounding annoyed. Jessica stood up and walked over to stand in front of both of them. "That won't be necessary. Emmett's digivice can open a portal to the Digital World, we believe. If you can make it to File Island, that can be a rendezvous point for all of you. Additionally, you might be able to exit and appear in a different place in the physical world. Essentially, it might be like a DigiWorm phone with an extra step." Jessica said.
Jessica suggested this over DigiWorm phones. Everyone knew why. DigiWorm phones had started to have an adverse effect on the fabric of space due to how many people were using them at this point, so Kinandon built newer models that limited the amount of times they could be used per week. 2 times per week. This was enough for one trip to your desired destination, and one trip back. The Digivice method seemed more efficient.
Later that night, Jessica was in her mermaid form swimming back to Japan. She was swimming at lightning fast speed. Because of how many towns, cities, and villages that Aqualian immigrants had made, she had to zig zag around physical people and objects constantly. But she could perceive all of this with lightning fast cognitive processing, sort of like The Flash. Jessica's stomach began growling. She placed her hand over her tummy over the belly button and grimaced. "Hunger pains. Maybe I ought to stop for a bite." She said out loud. She stopped in a densely populated city. This underwater city in the Pacific Ocean was teeming with all sorts of mermaids and mermen. It was like an underwater version of New York City, where Jessica had just visited. Jessica reached into the satchel around her waist and took out her digivice to check the time. "10:00pm. Makes sense. I spent hours debriefing Emily and her son on what's going on." Jessica said under her breath. She swam into a fast food restaurant. Lots of different kinds of fish and other sea food recipes were on the menu. Jessica swam up and surveyed what might be sea critter free. "I'll have a sea weed salad with extra tomatoes."
Jessica got her order and swam over to her table. She got out her smartphone, which was water proof, and looked at her messages. She got one from Taylor. "You were awesome out there, Mom! Cell phone videos of your fight against Gizumon XT are going viral! I'm so proud of you! You're such an awesome mom and I'm proud to be your daughter!" Jessica smiled. She loved getting praise like this from her little girl. "You're an awesome mom huh? A pretty smokin' hot one too if I may say so." Said a masculine voice from across the table. Jessica looked over to see a merman sitting at one of the tables directly in front of her, looking in her direction. He was blonde, and on his chest was a tattoo of an Agumon sprite with a cancel symbol over it, and under the Dot Agumon were the symbols C.A.D. Jessica looked concerned. Also, how did he know what his daughter's text said? He was across the room! "I'll bet you're wondering how I knew what your text said. It was simple. The moment before you trashed that Gizumon XT, one of my peers had it sling a microchip onto your satchel. There, it crawled into your bag, attached itself to your phone, and installed a special kind of spyware that I designed. I also tracked you down to this location" The merman said. Jessica was surprised that a C.A.D member would show himself so easily. "What is it you're after, C.A.D?" She asked. "That's for us to know and for you to find out. I only came to warn you. Tell your daughter and her friends to stay out of our business. If they do, we'll spare them and their Digi-pets. But if not….well, let's just say you won't hear the word 'Mom' anymore." The blonde merman said.
Jessica's blood began to boil. He was threatening his daughter's life. Her mama bear instincts started kicking it. She almost got up to attack him. She knew she could go Posiedon and end him right then and there, but then thoughts ran through her mind. C.A.D is working in the shadows. If she killed this man, it would likely be seen as a murder. She gritted her teeth, before getting up and swimming over to him, grabbing him by the arm. She wouldn't kill him, but she would take his slimy ass over to the Kuremi Detective Agency for questioning. "Whatever you're thinking, don't. I have 10 Gizumon XT all lying in wait outside your home. You so much as make a scratch on me, and your house will blow up along with everyone you love." He said. "You're bluffing." Jessica said. "Maybe. But are you willing to take that risk?" The merman responded. Jessica released his arm. "That's a good girl. You know, you're even hotter up close." Jessica looked at him with utter disgust. This guy was a total sleazebag.
Back at the Glovion residence, Taylor was in her bedroom reading Sharkmon a bedtime story. She was lying down under the covers, and Sharkmon was there with her. She had a book opened titled "The Three Little Pigs". "...and they lived happily ever after." Taylor read, before giving off a big smile and closing the book. "The End!" Sharkmon smiled. "Wow! That was a great story, Taylor! But I think those pigs should have digivolved and fought the wolf instead of hiding in their brother's sturdier house." Sharkmon said. Taylor giggled. "Maybe there'll be an action movie version of this story some day that does just that." She said. She sat up from under the covers and put the book back on her bookshelf. She was wearing aquamarine pajamas. "Ok, it's time to sleep." Taylor said. Suddenly, Jessica burst into the room, ran over to Taylor and wrapped her arms around her. Taylor was taken aback by the suddenness of it.
The next morning, Evander and Jessica were sitting at the breakfast table. "What!? He threatened to blow up our house!?" Evander exclaimed, outraged. Jessica shushed him, not wanting to wake everyone in the house. "I don't know if he was bluffing or not. It might have just been a fear tactic, but I couldn't risk putting you all in danger." Jessica said. Evander scowled and looked off to the side. "That bastard." He then looked over to Jessica. "Have you told Taylor?" He asked. "No. I don't want to frighten her." She replied. Little did they know, Taylor and Sharkmon were nearby listening to whole thing. "Don't worry about us! I'll protect Taylor with my life! I will stay by her side at all times, and if anyone tries to harm her, they'll get a taste of my massive jaws!" Said Sharkmon. Jessica smiled. "I'm counting on you, Sharkmon." Jessica said.
Later, Taylor was in the bath tub lathering her hair up with shampoo. She was thinking about everything her mom told her dad that day. So THAT'S what the sudden burst into her room last night was about! "Do they really know where I live?" Taylor said to herself out loud. "Who knows? But all trespassers will be ripped to shreds." Said a familiar voice. Taylor smiled and nodded. "Yep. No one can stop Jawsmon." It was a delayed reaction, but she over and saw Sharkmon swimming around just enjoying the shower. "This water is so warm, Taylor!" Sharkmon said cheerfully. Taylor shrieked and covered her chest. "Sharkmon!? What are you doing!?" She asked, blushing. Sharkmon looked over to her and smiled. "Like I said. I'll be by your side at all times." Sharkmon said with a smile. "I'M NAKED! GET OUT!!" Taylor screamed. Taylor was actually covered up by steam and murky bath water. Strategic Covering. "No way! I need to be by your side to protect you." Sharkmon said, still looking up at her with a smile. Taylor bent down and picked Sharkmon up. She hurled him out of the tub. SLAM! He face planted into the bathroom door. Sharkmon fell back on his back, sat up and rubbed his snout. "Ow!" He said. He looked back at Taylor. "Taylor, you're mean!" He said. "And you're a pervert!" Taylor shouted back.
After she had gotten dressed, she entered her room. She walked over to Sharkmon who was looking kind of sad. She placed her hand on his back. "Hey, sorry about a while ago. I realize you only wanted to protect me because you care about me. Besides, as an animal type Digimon, you probably don't even have a concept of nudity. I overreacted. Please forgive me." Taylor said. Sharkmon was silent, but Taylor picked him and up and started snuggling him like a baby. "Pweeeeaase!" She said. Sharkmon smiled. They then heard a tapping sound on the window. They both started and screamed. Taylor walked over to the window slowly, not expecting what would be behind it. She quickly flew the curtains back and saw her best friend Drusilla hovering behind the window. Taylor gave a sigh of relief. "I should have known. She always does this." Indeed. Taylor's bedroom was on the second floor of their house, and ever since Drusilla learned how to fly, she would often come visit Taylor by flying up to her window and knocking on it. Drusilla was holding something though; a Bokomon!
Taylor opened the window and the gothic bat winged child came through. The Bokomon hopped down out of Drusilla's arms. He was a small Digimon the size of a 5 year old. He had white skin, a beaklike mouth, a large pink band around his waist, and small brown fingers and toes. "Hello. You must be Taylor Glovion. I'm so happy to meet you. I'm an old friend of your father's. Is he home?" Bokomon asked. Sharkmon answered before Taylor could, "He went to work! He's a detective!" Sharkmon said.
Taylor smiled brightly and picked Bokomon up like a child. "I know what you are! You're a Bokomon! Bokomon are Rookie level Digimon. A knowledgeable Digimon scholar, it possesses the 'Monoshiri Book', which has things about the Digital World written in detail, but it barely ever shows it. As it is poor at fighting, it is usually boisterous and lively, but when push comes to shove, it becomes surprisingly reliable, instantly taking on a serious look. Its Special Move is running away at tremendous speed while feeling it can't win (Nigeashimou Dash)." Taylor said. Bokomon looked surprised. "Wow! You seem to know a lot about my species." Bokomon observed. Taylor giggled and gave a confident smile. "Indeed, I do! In fact, you can digivolve into a variety of different Digimon, which isn't unusual as Digimon typically have more than just one solid throughline. But my favorite Bokomon digivolution line is Wizardmon to Wisemon to Jijimon! Wisemon's probably the coolest of them all. The Digimon Reference Book that I stole from Sharkmon says and I quote 'A Digimon completely shrouded in mystery, it can appear anywhere in time and space via the Book. Treating the Book as a spiritual vessel, it frequently alters its shape to appear anywhere within the spaces and times which the Book has connected, and it is said that its true form remains within a separate dimension. Among researchers it is rumored that it is in the same family as Piedmon, and of the same Demon Man type. The Space-time Stones it holds in its hands are able to playback a record of a space, preserving every event or object of the Digital World within space and time. Its Special Moves are repeatedly preserving opponent's attacks within space and time and then performing a high-speed playback (Pandora Dialogue), and confining the opponent within the Space-time Stones for an eternity (Eternal Nirvana).' End Quote.' Wisemon is soooooo cool! If I could be a Digimon, a Wisemon is what I'd choose to be! Well, then I couldn't spend as much time in the ocean. Maybe if I were a Digimon, I'd be a Mermaidmon, but Mermaidmon isn't as knowledgeable as Wisemon. Hey, I wonder if there's some Wisemon/Mermaidmon Jogress Digimon out there." Taylor said.
Bokomon just stared at her and blinked a couple of times. The child had done quite a bit of talking! Taylor giggled. "You'll have to forgive me. I'm a bit of a Digimon Nerd. In fact, my goal is to become a Digimon Research Scientist some day!" She said with a big eyes-closed smile across her face.
They went to the Kuremi Detective Agency in Nakano. Evander, Evander's Digimon, Kyoko, Taylor, Sharkmon, and Bokomon, were all sitting on the two couches in the office. Evander stared at Bokomon intensely. "You said you were an old friend of mine, but…I really don't remember you at all." Evander said. Bokomon chuckled. "Oh, of course you wouldn't recognize me. I'm Jijimon!" He said. Evander looked surprised. "What!?" He said. Bokomon nodded. "Yep. I died a couple of years ago due to old age and reverted to a DigiEgg. My adopted Granddaughter, Hudiemon, bawled her eyes out when it happened from what I heard. But, fortunately, I was one of the rare Digimon that retained their memory from one life cycle to the next, so I remember everything!" Bokomon explained enthusiastically.
"What did you come to the human world for?" Sharkmon asked. Bokomon took out a blue round pendant with what looked like ocean waves engraved into it. "A woman who called herself Kari handed this to me a week ago. She told me to give it to 'the mermaid'. She was very cryptic because she told me that her enemies might be watching. I only knew of one mermaid and that's Jessica. Though….I suppose with your daughter being half mermaid and now being a Digidestined herself, Kari might have been referring to her." Bokomon explained. Taylor and Evander both put their thumbs and index fingers on their faces simultaneously, both of them scratching their chins at exactly the same time. "Kari. That name. Naturemon mentioned a woman by that name. It was one of her few memories. Kari told Naturemon to run and hide." Taylor recalled.
"Is there any other information about this Kari woman you can give us?" Kyoko asked. "Well, she had a Gatomon with her and her Digivice was pink. She called it a D-3. She used it to digivolve her Gatomon to fight an enemy that attacked us immediately after she gave me the pendent. I was able to escape to this world because of that mighty Angewomon." Bokomon said. Evander had a look of realization on his face.
Digimon was a franchise in his universe, spawning TV shows, card games, video games, and toys. For the longest time, that's all he thought it was. He later learned that Digimon were real when he went to the Digital World for the first time in 2006. Evidently, a man discovered the Digital World on accident when messing around with computers in the late 80s. When he returned in the late 90s to the human world, he used everything he learned about Digimon to market the idea to Bandai as a franchise. No one knows exactly how the Digital World came to be. Some theorize it evolved as a result of humanity's growing digital technology. Others think it came about as a world of its own, and it was just digital technology that allowed us to tap into that world. After all, other planets could access the Digital World like Aqualia and Felinica, so if it were just a world that existed inside the internet on Earth which humans invented, that wouldn't make much sense. Evander had met a girl named Kari in 2006 who was accompanied by a man named Regen. She was in a relationship with him. He was surprised to realize she actually existed and wasn't merely a fictional character in his Saturday morning lineup. "Is this the same Kari we met?" Evander asked. Bokomon shook his head. "I don't think so. Kari said her last name was Takaishi. I asked her about Regen and she said she had never even heard of him before." Bokomon responded.
Taylor raised her hand, "Gatomon is a champion level Digimon with a holy ring on its tail and she looks like a cat. A couple of her attacks are Lightning Paw and Cat's Eye Hypnotism. Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon; a holy angel Digimon who looks like a beautiful woman. The holy ring on Gatomon is now worn around Angemon as an ankle bracelet. Angewomon's primary attack is Celestial Arrow which-" Taylor said before her mouth was covered by Drusilla. "Enough, Professor." She said.
Evander got up and walked over to his daughter. He bent over and gave her multiple kisses on the forehead. "Daaad." Taylor complained as the showers of kisses came down. Evander smiled brightly. "Sorry, but you were looking so darn cute while giving your explanation that I couldn't help myself." He said. Evander too back up. "Put that blue pendant in a safe place. I'm not sure if it belongs to you or Mom. But I have a feeling we'll need it in an upcoming battle. It's…kind of how these things go." Evander said. He then rubbed his little girl's head, messing her hair up. "Now, it's almost 7:00am. You've got school, my little mermaid, and I've got a case to solve. And don't forget how much I love you." Evander said. Taylor looked annoyed and nodded. She blushed. "Yeah. ok." It was a little embarrassing for her dad to be so affectionate in front of company. Bokomon chuckled. "Oh, my heart is so warm! The love between a father and daughter! It makes me think of my little Hudiemon back in File City." Bokomon said before furrowing his eyebrows, "Well…she's much taller than me now, so maybe I shouldn't call her little."
Evander pulled his phone out of his pocket as he walked over to Kyoko's desk. "I think it might be more convenient to make a group chat so we can all learn about all of these new developments in the case at the same time." He said. "But what if C.A.D infects our phones with the spyware he put on Mom's?" Taylor asked. "An old friend of mine named Arata Sanada came over before you woke up. He's installed a powerful firewall on all our devices." Evander replied.
At school….
Taylor Glovion again sat at her desk near the window, peering out of it. She felt a finger poke her in the shoulder. It was Martin. Martin didn't say anything, but pointed his pencil in Professor Agumon's direction. Agumon was lecturing about the holy ring. "The holy ring is a ring that can be found on many holy Digimon, some of them angel types, others not. Among the Digimon that holy rings can be found on are Gatomon, Gatomon X, Angewomon, MagnaAngemon, Salamon, Cherubimon, and Leormon. In Gatomon's case, if the holy ring is removed, Gatomon will have the same power level as a Rookie level Digimon. For some reason, not all holy Digimon have a holy ring. Patamon for example. And of the Three Great Angels, only Cherubimon has holy rings. He has his on his ears." Professor Agumon explained. Taylor raised her hand. "Yes, Taylor?" Professor Agumon said. "Technically, they're The TWO Great Angels, since Ophanimon fell to evil and my mother had to revert her back to an egg, which she did when she fused with her Omnimon to become MarineOmnimon." Taylor said with a smug smile on her face. She had obviously pounced on this opportunity to brag about Jessica.
Professor Agumon nodded. "Yes, that is a sad fact. That Ophanimon fortunately lost her memories and is now a Gatomon, being raised in the celestial sphere by Seraphimon and Ophanimon. Hopefully, she'll take a better path this time around."
After School….
Taylor was jumping around in the street while walking home from school "That's the end of school for this week! Tomorrow's Saturday! I'm going to spend AAALLLL weekend in a tail and a tube top. I've been dry for far too long!" Taylor said. She reached out in the direction of the sea. "The sea! The seeeaaa! It's calling out to meeeeee!" She said dramatically before giggling. Sharkmon was happily skipping along on his short stubby legs. "I'll spend the whole weekend with you too. We can play with the Sangomon at Plankton Park again." Sharkmon said. Sharkmon then looked up at Taylor and asked "Maybe your Dad can come too." Sharkmon sad. Taylor stopped in her tracks. Her bubbly demeanor vanished. "Umm…yeah. Maybe. If he has time." Taylor said in a sad voice. Taylor reached into her pocket and took out the blue emblem Bokomon had given her earlier. She stared at it, wondering what it could possibly be for.
"Oh, good! You've received it!" Said a voice that sounded like two female voices speaking as one. Taylor looked up and saw a feminine Digimon with fair skin and blue hair wearing a blueish grey helmet with yellow insect-like eyes and light blue armor cut to expose its thighs. The armor has a yellow fur-trimmed collar. It also has large blue butterfly-like wings on its helmet, and a blue showgirl skirt cut like a butterfly's wings. The Digimon landed in front of the two. "I'm-" The butterfly Digimon began to speak before being cut off by Taylor. "Hudiemon, a Champion level insectoid Digimon. One of Wormmon's digivolved forms. Your Infinity Dream attack involves you flapping your wings that causes scales to fall down on your enemy. This either poisons them or paralyzes them, but you also can heal your allies with them. Your other attack is Flying Kick which, as the name suggests, involves you flying up high into the air and coming down to give the enemy a big kick! Wow! You're even prettier than the pictures I've seen of you in my Digimon research books!" Yep. Taylor was nerding out again. Hudiemon had one big sweat drop come down the side of her head. "Y-yes. That's correct. My Grandfather Jiji-I mean Bokomon gave that to you, right?" Hudiemon said. Taylor nodded. "Yep." She replied. "Good. I just wanted to make sure he got it to you safely. Well, I'll see you around." Hudiemon said before flying off.
When Taylor got home, she saw Drusilla, Martin, Emmet, Coalmon, Naturemon, and Dovemon there. Jessica and Evander hadn't gotten home yet. Taylor looked confused. "How did you guys get into my house? And who's the blonde kid and the bird?" Taylor asked. Emmett held his hand out for a handshake. "I'm the final member of your team. I'm Emmett Liberty. And this is my Digimon, Dovemon." He said. Taylor shook his hand and said. "I'm Taylor Glovion. And this little guy is Sharkmon." "Your Mom helped us out last night with the Gizumon." Taylor giggled. "Dad was right. We do need a group chat."
Taylor noticed The Holy Ring on Dovemon. She did just learn about it in her Digital World class after all. Everyone got a ring on their phones. They all took their phones out at the same time and saw news coverage of a plethora of bug type Digimon causing havoc in the suburban area around Takaido Park. The anchorwoman was a green skinned woman with three eyes and tentacles. "Tokyo News reporting. Bug type Digmon have suddenly gone on a rampage in the suburban areas around Takaido Park. This is the third incident of Digimon going on a rampage this week." The green anchorwoman said. There were a couple of dozen Dokugumon, a few Kuwagamon, and one familiar looking butterfly humanoid Digimon. "H-Hudiemon?" Taylor said, her eyes widening with surprise. The Kuwagamon were destroying houses while the Dokugumon were trapping innocent people in their webs. Hudiemon was just committing random acts of violence; punching and kicking anyone she laid her eyes on."Everyone seeing the red marks on their heads?" Emmett asked. Everyone nodded and gave an affirming answer. "Yep." "Mmhmm." "I see them." Everyone looked at each other and gave a knowing nod. They all took their digivices out of their pockets and ran out the front door.
"How far is Takaido Park, Marty Hearty?" Naturemon asked as she stood alongside her partner. "Too far." Martin answered. Drusilla spread her batlike wings. "Not if we fly." Drusilla said. Taylor went into her garage and brought out hover bikes. "I have three hover bikes here. Martin, Naturemon, and I will ride on one, with Sharkmon in the basket of mine. Drusilla, you fly with your own wings and carry Coalmon. Emmett, if your Digimon gets bigger when she Digivolves, have her carry you." Taylor said, taking charge.
So, they got on their hover bikes and took off to Takaido Park. Dovemon digivolved to Harpymon and carried Emmett in her talons. "Umm! Harpymon! I-I'm not sure about this! What if you drop me?" Emmett said, nervous. "Don't sweat it, Emmett! I won't drop you!" Harpymon assured him. When they got to the residential area near the park, they saw that the place was covered with spider threads. Some homes had been destroyed, and ones that were still intact were currently in the process of being wrecked by several Kuwagamon! Taylor got off her flying bike and took her digivice out of her pocket, she held it up and shouted. "Sharkmon, let's go!" Martin took out his red digivice and held it out. "Naturemon, do your best!" Martin said. Naturemon gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Of course, Marty Hearty!" She said. Drusilla got her digivice out. "Ok, Coalmon! Let's rock the house!" She said. She made a pun, but then realized it was pointless as her mother wasn't here to enjoy it. Coalmon flexed her small coallike muscular looking arms. "I'm getting fired up!" Coalmon said.
On all of the kids' digivices, the word "DIGIVOLUTION" came across the screen in big green letters. Beams of light shot out of their digivices and enveloped their Digimon.
"Sharkmon digivolve to….Jawsmon!"
"Naturemon digivolve to….MotherNaturemon!"
"Coalmon Digivolve to…CoalGolemon!"
Jawsmon ran up to one of the Red Marked Kuwagamon laying waste to one of the houses. A small family of 4 were huddle together in a corner as they watched the large red Digimon rip the roof off and start destroying the objects inside. Jawsmon jumped up high into the air and landed in front of Kuwagamon's face. "Power Pummeling!" He shouted as he punched the Red Mark over and over with his powerful muscular arms. The Red Mark wasn't destroyed from any of the punches though. "Power Guillotine!" Kuwagamon shouted as he leaned in to clamp Jawsmon with its powerful face pincers. Jawsmon caught the two pincers with both of his hands. With each of Kuwagamon's pincers in each of his hands, he threw the Kuwagamon up high into the air! While the Kuwagamon was in mid-air, Jawsmon jumped up and bit down hard on the Red Mark. "Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon lifted up and looked down to see if the Red Mark was still there. It was. So he bit down again, and again, and again, "Titantic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon shouted as he attacked. They both landed on the ground, with Jawsmon on top of the Kuwagamon. The Red Mark still hadn't vanished, but it started to glitch and fizzle. The Kuwagamon quickly stood up and tackled Jawsmon, sending the both of them into the wall of a nearby house. "Power Guillotine!" Kuwagamon shouted as it clamped its powerful face pincers down on Jawsmon again. Jawsmon shouted in pain as the pincers dug into his flesh. He whipped his head around and bit one of the pincers. Kuwagamon recoiled, allowing Jawsmon to escape its grasp. Jawsmon jumped up again and unleashed a "Power Pummeling!" onto the Red Mark. This time, the Red Mark completely vanished.
Taylor ran up to Jawsmon. "You just damaged a house in the course of your fighting!" Taylor scolded. Jawsmon looked over to her. "It's hard not to do more damage while fighting, but I'll certainly try." Jawsmon said.
Nearby, MotherNaturemon was contending with a horde of Dokugumon that came her way. "Tree Twirl!" MotherNaturemon shouted while spinning around rapidly, looking like she was doing a pirouette. The tree branches protruding from her back slapped all of the Dokugumon surrounding them and hit their Red Marks, though they didn't disappear right away. MotherNaturemon jumped up as one of the Dokugumon sprayed venomous acid at her. MotherNaturemon narrowly evaded the acid attack. "Tree Twirl! Tree Twirl! Tree Twirl!" Naturemon attacked repeatedly. The Dokugumon all got hit repeatedly by the tree branches. After enough blows, the Red Marks on their heads vanished. The Dokugumon groaned and looked around, appearing confused. "What happened?" One of them said. MotherNaturemon smiled. "It's ok. You're free now. Go back to your nests." She said in a gentle and benevolent tone. Just then MotherNaturemon fell over and found herself being dragged across the ground. She propped herself up with her arms and looked back to see even more Dokugumon with Red Marks. They had managed to wrap some spider thread around her legs. One of the Dokugumon bit down hard on MotherNaturemon's right leg. MotherNaturemon grunted in pain and winced. Then she looked the Dokugumon that bit her in the multiple eyes. "It's ok, I forgive you. I know you're being controlled, you poor thing." MotherNaturemon said. Two more Dokugumon came up and bit down on both of her arms causing her again to moan and wince in pain. MotherNaturemon managed to rip one of her arms free and punched the other Dokugumon biting down on her other arm. She reached into her quiver and got out an arrow. She rolled over on her back and fired a couple of arrows at the Dokugumon that had threads around her legs. "Nature's Arrow! Nature's Arrow!" MotherNaturemon shouted as she attacked.
The arrows hit the red marks dead in the center and destroyed them. MotherNaturemon then used one of her arrows to cut the thread connecting to the Dokugumon's mouths. She jumped up high into the air and kicked one of the Dokugumon that bit her with her legs. She kicked the Red Mark multiple times, trying to destroy it. "Poison Sting!" The Dokugumon attacked. MotherNaturemon got hit in the arm with a poisoned needle. She grunted. She pulled the needle out of her arm. "Nature's Arrow!" She shouted, firing an arrow at the Dokugumon. The Red Mark vanished. All of the Dokugumon looked confused. "I-I'm sorry!" The most recently freed one said. MotherNaturemon looked down at the Dokugumon lovingly. "Like I said, I forgive you. It's not your fault. You're being controlled." MotherNaturemon said. "Poison Sting! Poison Sting! Poison Sting!" The Dokugumon behind her shouted as it shot three consecutive poisoned needles into MotherNaturemon. MotherNaturemon then span around and shot an arrow into the Dokugumon's Red Mark, freeing it. MotherNaturemon put her left hand on her left hip and smiled. "Looks like that's all of them." She said. She had some tiny streams of dark blue blood flowing from the puncture wounds she had received.
MotherNaturemon's eyes then widened and she dropped to her knees. She began shivering violently. She then threw up a little. "Damn! The poison!" She said. Martin ran over to MotherNaturemon looking excited. "MotherNaturemon! You were great!" He said. Martin's happy look turned dour when he noticed that his Digimon was hunched over on the ground shivering. "Huh? What's wrong?" He asked.
Jawsmon and Taylor ran over to where Martin and MotherNaturemon were. "Oh no! This isn't good! You got injected by Dokugumon's poison, didn't you?" Taylor said, concerned. Martin nodded while looking at Taylor. He was kneeling down next to MotherNaturemon and had his hand on the womanly Digimon's left shoulder. "MotherNaturemon, can't you heal yourself with your Motherly Love? Like what you did to Triceramon?" Martin suggested. MotherNaturemon shook her head. "I can only use that technique to heal others, not myself." She said. Martin began to look more concerned. "We-we need to get you to a Digimon Hospital then." Martin said.
Digimon Hospitals had popped up all over the world now that Digimon were living among humans (and other races on Earth). They were hospitals specifically designed to treat injured Digimon.
Nearby, CoalGolemon was punching and kicking enemy Kuwagamon's Red Marks. She didn't want to use any of her magma or fire attacks because she didn't want to risk damaging the area any further. The Red Marked Digimon did a good enough job of that themselves.
MotherNaturemon's flowers covering her legs started to grow a dark brown color, and even the roses over her breasts started growing brown. She threw up a second time. "M-Marty Hearty….I'm scared! Please help me!" MotherNaturemon pleaded. Martin nodded. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." Martin said. He bent down under MotherNaturemon and tried to help her stand.
Just then, in a flash, Hudiemon showed up and kicked MotherNaturemon right in the jaw, sending her falling on her back. She was Red Marked as well. "You must not get in the way of Crusaders Against Digimon's objective or you will be eliminated." Hudiemon said. Hudiemon got on top of MotherNaturemon and started stomping on her belly over and over. Martin looked horrified. "Stop!" He shouted, before lunging at Hudiemon. Hudiemon just did a roundhouse kick and sent Martin to the ground. Jawsmon growled. "That does it! You're going down!" He said. Jawsmon lept over to Hudiemon and unleashed a "Power Pummeling!" attack. Hudiemon gracefully dodged every single punch before doing a flip and kicking Jawsmon in the Jaw, knocking him back. Hudiemon then reared back and flew straight into Jawsmon's stomach, tackling him and sending him flying back a few feet!
Jawsmon managed to grab Hudiemon's left arm and tossed her into the air. Jawsmon stood up and leapt into the air. "Titanic Bite!" He attacked, aiming for the Red Mark on her belly. Just as he was about to clamp down on her belly, just the split second before, Hudiemon punched him hard in the nose and sent him back down to the ground. "Jawsmon!" Taylor called out.
Harpymon and Emmet had come over, having finished taking care of some Dokugumon of their own. Harpymon flew up to Hudiemon and spread her wings. "Wind Seeker!" Harpymon shouted as she flapped her wings to release a gust of wind so strong it cut like a giant knife. Hudiemon turned around and flapped her wings, unleashing a powerful gust that negated Harpymon's attack. "Is that seriously the best you've got? Are these the enemies we at Crusaders Against Digimon are so worried about?" Hudiemon said. She obviously wasn't doing the one speaking. Whoever was controlling her was speaking through her. Taylor looked at Hudiemon angrily. "Crusaders Against Digimon? Is that what the C.A.D stands for on the logos of your uniforms?" Taylor asked. Hudiemon nodded. "Yes. Digimon are pests. In India last week, a boy was crushed to death when a Tyrannomon he was playing with tripped and fell on him. In New York City a year ago, a restaurant owner lost his entire business after diners got sick with e coli poisoning because of the Numemon and Sukamon who frequently dined there and touched all the surfaces with their nasty hands. You know what these Digimon frequently handle. And in South Korea, a Breakdramon lost its temper and leveled a whole city in his rage. These are but a few of the woes Digimon have brought upon us." Hudiemon said.
Drusilla took a step forward. "Digimon might make mistakes, and Digimon might do bad things sometimes, but that makes them no different than anyone else!" Drusilla said. Hudiemon flapped her wings, sending a gust of wind, knocking them all over. "Enough. Stand down or you will perish." Hudiemon said. Taylor clutched her digivice firmly in her hand, looking at Hudiemon with a determined look on her face. "Never! I'll never let you hurt Digimon!" Taylor said.
MotherNaturemon was looking more sickly than before. Her skin was pale white like a ghost and the flowers on her chest and legs continued to look more withered. Martin bent down and held his Digimon's hand. "MotherNaturemon….please. Hang on." He said.
CoalGolemon looked over at Hudiemon. "I don't think I ought to hold back any more. Molten Blast!" CoalGolemon said before firing streams of lava out of her mouth and hands. Hudiemon dodged the attack by flying up high into the air. Jawsmon and Harpymon also had to get out of the way. "I think we should attack together!" Harpymon said. "So do I!" Jawsmon said.
"Titanic Bite!"
"Wind Seeker!"
"Molten Blast!"
Hudiemon again dodged all of the attacks. Hudiemon then flapped her large wings and sent scales raining down on the Digidestined's Digimon. "Infinity Dream!" Hudiemon shouted. All of the Digimon suddenly became immobilized. "What the? I can't move!" Jawsmon shouted. "Neither can I!" CoalGolemon shouted. Taylor looked at Hudiemon just hovering in mid-air. "I don't understand. Hudiemon shouldn't be this powerful." Taylor observed. "Maybe the Digimon Reference Book got her stats mixed up with some other Digimon?" They then all heard a voice from behind them. "I'm afraid that's not it." They turned around to see Bokomon. "The Red Stones have the ability to increase the fighting power of the Digimon they mark drastically. Back in the day, I distinctly remember being hit by a devastating hit from your father's MetalGreymon and having barely a scratch on me." Bokomon said. Bokomon was recalling the events of 2006 when a 12 year old Evander digivolved his Digimon to the Ultimate level for the first time and fought against Bokomon who was a Jijimon at the time.
Martin looked over at Bokomon with a concerned look on his face. "Bokomon, does that mean we can't win?" He asked. Bokomon shook his head. "No, it doesn't. It does mean that you'll have to fight as hard as you can. It also means that whoever is controlling my granddaughter must be the head honcho. It takes skill to use a Red Mark not only to control a Digimon, but to increase its power as well. I'd be willing to wager that's why some of your battles have been easier than others." Bokomon said.
While they were talking, Hudiemon had flown down to the paralyzed Digimon and was unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks on them. "Die! Die! Die! All pests will be exterminated!" Hudiemon shouted. Jawsmon got so beat up that he dropped to his knees. Hudiemon flew up high into the air and then came down, "Flying Kick!" Hudiemon shouted before kicking the back of Jawsmon's head with the back of her foot. Jawsmon fell over, now laying face down. "I….just can't move!" Jawsmon complained.
MotherNaturemon continued to lie on the ground suffering. The group of Dokugumon crawled over to her. Martin looked at them angrily. "Stay away!" He shouted. "It's ok! We're not Red Marked anymore. Please, let us help her." One of the Dokugumon said. "Put her on my back. I'll carry her to a Digimon Hospital ASAP." Another Dokugumon said. "We want to atone for what we've done." Another Dokugumon said. Martin tried lifting MotherNaturemon to the best of his ability, but he couldn't. Not only was she a nearly 6 foot tall woman, but she was dead weight. The poison had rendered her unable to move. "MotherNaturemon, please de-digivolve so you're lighter." Martin said. MotherNaturemon wasn't conscious anymore. Martin started feeling sick to his stomach. He thought he might lose her, but he knew she was still alive. After all, she hadn't reverted to a DigiEgg yet.
Jawsmon was looking over in MotherNaturemon's direction. "MotherNaturemon….you're always so kind to everyone. I…." He said before standing up and letting out a mighty roar. "Let me help you!" He leapt over to their location and picked up MotherNaturemon with ease. He put her on the Dokugumon's back, stomach down. "Here, take her to get help." Jawsmon said. Jawsmon then turned back to the Hudiemon that was flying quickly in his direction. "Flying Kick!" Hudiemon shouted. Jawsmon reached out and grabbed Hudiemon's leg before her kick could make contact. "Haha! I have no idea how you broke free from the paralysis of Hudiemon's Infinity Dream, but you're still going down!" She said, speaking in the third person because it technically wasn't her doing the talking. Jawsmon spun around while holding Hudiemon's leg. After he got enough momentum, he let go and slung her into a wall.
"Harpymon! Now!" Jawsmon called out. Harpymon flew up to Hudiemon and kicked her to the ground with her talons. Hudiemon hit the ground hard, landing on her back. Harpymon hovered directly above Hudiemon for just a second before unleashing a "Wind Seeker!" attack. The attack hit Hudiemon's Red Mark. The Red Mark wasn't yet destroyed, but it started to glitch and fizzle. CoalGolemon came up from behind "Fire Frenzie!" She shouted as she shot streams of fire out of her arms. The fire streams struck the Red Mark, finishing the job.
Taylor smiled brightly and jumped up in the air while holding a fist up high. "All right! Way to go!" She cheered. As soon as Hudiemon regained her senses, she got back up and hurriedly flew off somewhere. "Hudiemon! Where are you going!?" Bokomon called out. "I need to hurry." Hudiemon thought to herself. She looked down and saw the Dokugumon carrying MotherNaturemon off. She quickly flew down to them. Martin was alarmed for a second, but noticed the Red Mark on Hudiemon's belly had disappeared. Hudiemon flapped her wings and sent some scales down upon MotherNaturemon. "Infinity Dream." She said. MotherNaturemon's flowers began to revive, the color in her skin returned, and she opened her eyes. MotherNaturemon propped herself up. "Marty Hearty! I feel better!" She said in a cheerful tone with a big smile on her face. Martin ran over to her and gave her a big hug. "Oh, MotherNaturemon! I was so worried!" He said. "Marty Hearty, can we get some ice cream now?" She asked. Martin pulled back, looked her in the eye and nodded. "Anything you want." He replied.
Later that evening as the sun was going down, Hudiemon and everyone were standing in front of Taylor's house. "I know it wasn't my fault, but I still want to apologize for attacking you." She said. Taylor clenched a fist and held it up. "I promise that we will stop C.A.D from hurting any more Digimon." Taylor said. Martin was standing adjacent to her typing away furiously on his smartphone. He hit enter. It was a message in the group chat explaining what just happened and saying that now they knew what C.A.D stood for.
