Martin was now in the final part of his test. He had to figure out which among 10 copies was the real Naturemon. Each Naturemon tried to convince Martin that she was the real one. Then it occurred to him; he should use his acute sense of smell! Martin remembered all the times Naturemon would glomp him. Martin ran up to one of the Naturemons and started sniffing her. It seemed to weird her out. "Marty Hearty, what are you doing?" She asked. "You don't smell like her at all….so don't call me Marty Hearty." Martin said. Martin then went over to another Naturemon, and then another, and then another. None of them smelled like his Digimon partner. Martin kept sniffing Naturemon copies until he had one more left. He turned and looked at her. This Naturemon smiled and clasped her hands together. "Ah, I see. So you've been using your acute sense of smell. As a Demi-Felincius, it's much stronger than that of a human's. Since I'm the last one, obviously I'm the real deal!" She said. Martin smiled lovingly toward his Digimon. He then began walking towards her. "Maybe. But I'll need to sniff you to make sure." He said. Martin leaned over and sniffed the final Naturemon. Martin's eyes widened with surprise. He stood upright and took one step backwards. "Hey, you don't smell anything like Naturemon either! What's going on here?" He asked rhetorically and in an indignant tone of voice.
Just then, the Naturemon he just sniffed tackled him to the ground and got on top of him. Martin pushed the fake off of him and got back up. He had caught a wiff of the real Naturemon! "I can smell her!" He said under his breath. Martin put his nose to the ground and started walking on all fours, sniffing the ground like a drug sniffing airport dog. He was following the trail of Naturemon's scent. Following the trail lead him to the tree that all of the Naturemon copies were standing in front of. Martin stood up and sniffed the tree trunk. "Her scent is the strongest here." Martin said. He touched the tree bark and was slightly surprised to see that his hand went through it! "This is…a hiding tree!" Martin said. Hiding Trees were false trees that grew throughout the Digital World. They were hollowed out trees that looked metallic on the inside. All one had to do in order to enter a hiding tree was simply walk into it. They would appear like they were phasing through the tree bark. Normally, these trees were used by weaker Digimon who were trying to escape an enemy or a predator, hence the name, "Hiding Tree".
Martin took one step and his body appeared to completely phase through the tree bark. He found himself inside a hollow metallic looking tree, face to face with the real Naturemon. Naturemon smiled exuberantly and giggled. "You found me, Marty Hearty! You found me!" Naturemon exclaimed before glomping her partner, causing them to both fall out of the hiding tree and onto the ground. Naturemon showered Martin with kisses. "Wizardmon told me to go into the Hiding Tree and be super duper quiet. Then he made clones of himself and used his magic stick doohicky to make them all look exactly like me! He said you had to figure out the real one! Wasn't that fun!? It was like a game!" Naturemon said, still embracing her partner on the ground. Martin smiled and chuckled a bit. "Well, I'm glad you had fun." Martin said. All of the Naturemon copies behind him disappeared except for one. That last one remained and transformed back into Wizardmon. Wizardmon gave the cat boy a round of applause. "A game? Well, that's one way to think of it. And since you won the 'game', get ready to receive your prize!" Wizardmon said. Martin knew exactly what he was talking about. He reached into his pocket and brought out his D-Eco. He turned it over and looked at his Crest Of Earth on the back. It was shining brighter than it ever had before. Naturemon, who still had yet to get off the boy, was enveloped by the green light. Naturemon then stood up and looked down at her hands. "I….I feel really weird!" She said.
"DIGIVOLUTION"
"Naturemon digivolve to….MotherNaturemon!"
"MotherNaturemon digivolve to….Vineyardmon!"
"Vineyardmon mega digivolve to…..Chlorismon!"
Where Naturemon once stood was now a taller, womanly figure. She had a shapely, womanly figure. Instead of flesh on her body, there was wood. Her skin was made of wood from head to toe. Unlike her prior forms, Chlorismon had no vegetation or flowers to act as clothing. The fingers on her hand resembled tree roots as did the toes on her feet. Her hair was a much darker shade of green now and was short in length. She had pointy ears like that of an elf, and coming out of her back were a plethora of large tree branches covered in leaves. She also had a couple of twigs growing out of parts of her head. The twigs growing out of her head had small leaves on them. She was quite taller than any of her previous digivolution stages. Whereas MotherNaturemon and Vineyardmon were the height of the average human woman, Chlorismon was the height of an average tree!
Martin stood there staring at his Digimon in awe. "N-N-N-Naturemon!?" He exclaimed. The wooden woman smiled. "I am Chlorismon; Naturemon's Mega form. My Splinters Of Death sends multiple shards of wood out of my hands to impale my enemy! My Razor Leaf Blizzard will send a storm of leaves from the trees growing out of my back to slice and dice my opponent!" She explained.
"Chlorismon. Like Chloris, the Roman goddess of flowers?" Martin said, still in awe of seeing his Digimon's Mega form for the first time. Chlorismon shrugged her shoulders. "I guess. I didn't come up with the name, I just learned it upon Digivolving." Chlorismon replied. Martin grinned. "You know, Chloris is known by a more common name in Roman mythology." Martin said. Chlorismon tilted her head. "And what name is that?" She asked. Martin paused for a moment, then said, "Flora." Chlorismon's face said it all. "That's your mother's name!" Martin nodded. "Yep." "What an interesting coincidence!" Chlorismon said. Martin brought it up because he too found it to be an interesting coincidence. He thought back to when he was packing to leave for World For Us All HQ, and Flora had told Naturemon to essentially be her proxy.
Chlorismon then looked away and blushed. She reached up and scratched her cheek with one of her twig-like fingers. "So…umm….Marty Hearty….what do you think of my Mega form?" She asked. "I think you look beautiful. You look like nature personified. And I'm sure you're powerful too!" Martin replied. Chlorismon grabbed her partner in her hands and nuzzled him up against her large face! Given their size difference, Martin was like a small kitten in a human adult's hands. "Oh! Marty Hearty! You're so sweet!" She exclaimed cheerfully with a huge smile on her face. "Hey! Careful! You're going to give me splinters!" Martin exclaimed. Martin then reached out and wrapped his arms around Chlorismon's face. He smiled thinking about no matter how many times she digivolved, Naturemon was still Naturemon; bubbly, childlike, gentle, soft, and very benevolent.
Chlorismon then took off running towards the direction of the beach. "Naturemo-I mean, Chlorismon! Where are we going!?" Martin asked, still in the wooden giantess' arms. "I want to show the others how cool my Mega form is!" Chlorismon answered.
Earlier….
While Martin was undergoing his trial, Witchmon had taken Emmett and Dovemon to Sky Town, the floating town somewhat adjacent to 404 Island, but was nonetheless considered a part of it. It was a small town with buildings, houses, and roads all over the place. Lots of bird and other Digimon that could fly lived here. There were Biyomons, Falcomons, Birdramons, Peckmons, Dracomons, Airdramons, Megadramons, Unimons, and other kinds of flying Digimon walking around town going about their day. Dovemon looked around. "Wow! Looks like there's mostly flying Digimon here!" Dovemon said. Witchmon tipped her hat upwards with her thumb. "Of course. Not many can come and go to Sky Town easily without the ability to fly." Witchmon said. Emmett was standing in front of Witchmon, looking back and forth surveying all of the flying Digimon like his partner was. Then, Emmett turned around and faced Witchmon. "So, what tests will you have us do?" Emmett asked.
Witchmon turned to the edge of town and held out her hand, and then she started chanting something in Witchish. Soon, lots of large golden rings appeared in the sky around the perimeter of Sky Town! "First, you'll need to fly around Sky Town collecting these large rings that are floating in the air. You'll need to compete against a flying Digimon. Your goal will be to collect more rings than your opponent before time runs out. Whoever has the most rings when the timer goes off will be the winner. Make sure the rings go in the baskets." Witchmon explained. In addition to the large golden rings, Witchmon had caused two large nets to appear on a floating platform. Emmett nodded. "Ok, that sounds straightforward enough, but who will we be competing against?" He asked. Then they heard a feminine voice respond. "That would be me!" Emmett and Dovemon turned their heads to see who spoke to them. It was Angewomon! "An Angewomon?" Dovemon observed. The Angewomon frowned and stomped her foot twice. "No, not 'an' Angewomon! It's me from the Holy Angel Castle!" She said angrily. Emmett looked pleasantly surprised. "Really!? You're THAT Angewomon!?" He asked. Angewomon walked over to them with her hands on her hips. "That's what I just said. What? Are you hard of hearing?" Angewomon replied. A big smile came across Emmett's face. "So that must mean you conquered your fear of heights! I knew you could do it!" He said. Angewomon blushed and put her hands behind her back while looking off to the side. "Yeah, well…I couldn't do it without you, Emmett." She said.
Witchmon cackled. "Mirei had told me that you made friends with this Digimon right around the time you activated your crest the first time around. I thought you'd like to see your girlfriend again and compete against her rather than just any old feathered Digimon." Witchmon said. Emmett blushed and jerked his head back to look at Witchmon. "Girlfriend!? No no no no no! You've got the wrong idea!" Emmett said. Angewomon scowled. "You think I'd be interested in a pipsqueak like him!?" She said indignantly. Witchmon cackled louder and longer than before. "I knew that would get a rise out of you!" Witchmon said. Tageor sighed. "Witchmon, I think it'd be wise not to provoke the holy angel Digimon with the giant arrows of light. Especially considering you're in the Nightmare Soldiers field." Tageor said, still sounding unenthused as ever.
Witchmon then held her palm up out in front of her and chanted something in Witchish again. This caused a timer to appear in her hand. Witchmon turned to the edge of town and said, "That's enough small talk. Let's get on with the trials." Emmett got a determined look on his face and nodded while clenching his fists. "Right. Mom is counting on me to save her." Emmett said. Witchmon turned to Emmett and said, "Oh, by the way. You'll need to ride your Digimon somehow. Cling to her legs while she flies, piggyback, whatever you have to do, just be sure you're with her while she collects the rings. If you fall off, you'll be disqualified." Emmett nodded in understanding. "Got it." He reached into his pocket and brought out his Gold D-Eco.
"DIGIVOLUTION"
"Dovemon digivolve to…..Harpymon!"
"Harpymon digivolve to…..HolyHarpymon!"
HolyHarpymon and Angewomon stood at the very edge of the floating town. Emmett crawled up on Harpymon's back and wrapped her arms around her head, linking his hands together. He was going to piggy back ride his partner. Witchmon caused a big checkered flag to appear. "Okie dokie, girls! Get ready! On your mark…get set…..go!" Witchmon said before waving the big checkered flag. HolyHarpymon and Angewomon leaped off the edge and spread their wings. The two angelic Digimon flew at top speed! HolyHarpymon grabbed two golden rings with the talons on her feet and kicked her legs backwards to toss the rings into the net. Emmett smiled. "Nice one, HolyHarpymon!" He cheered. HolyHarpymon flinched. "Easy, Emmett! Remember that you're right up against my ear." She said. "Oh, sorry." Emmett said in a softer tone of voice. Angewomon grabbed some rings and tossed them into her net as well. "I won't lose to you!" Angewomon said. Angewomon managed to grab 5 rings! While no one was looking, Angewomon had slipped her boots off and was flying barefoot. She grabbed two rings with her hands, two rings with her toes, and one ring in her mouth. She flew over and dropped the 5 rings into the basket.
Above the two nets on the floating platform was a scoreboard that kept track of who had what. It read that HolyHarpymon inserted 2 rings while Angewomon inserted 5.
HolyHarpymon grit her teeth and scowled. "Darn! If only my wings weren't also my arms! Angewomon has an unfair advantage over me!" HolyHarpymon lamented. "Don't give up, HolyHarpymon! I'll think of something!" Emmett said. Emmett's mind was racing. How could they win against Angewomon if she was able to grab 5 rings at a time while HolyHarpymon could only grab 2? Was the answer that HolyHarpymon needed to just chuck rings into the net at a faster rate than Angewomon? No, that would never work. Angewomon could perfectly match his partner's speed. Then he realized something, something that should have been obvious. "HolyHarpymon, I'll grab some rings!" He said, a bit too loudly. "Emmett! Are you trying to make me go deaf!" HolyHarpymon complained. "Sorry." Emmett said. "But, that's a good idea." HolyHarpymon said. Emmett slowly climbed down the body of his partner. "I hope you're not ticklish, HolyHarpymon." Emmett said. He basically was climbing down to his partner's body like she were a tree. He wrapped his arms around her chest and also wrapped his legs around her, and then let go slightly to cause himself to drop. Then he would get a better grasp, and repeat the process. Emmett kept Witchmon's warning in his mind the entire time; if he fell, they would be disqualified. He wasn't afraid of getting hurt though. He was confident HolyHarpymon would catch him before he hit the ground, just like last time. With her with him, he could never be afraid of the skies.
Emmett finally was able to drop and grab HolyHarpymon's ankles. He let one hand go so he could reach down and take his sneakers off. It was tricky. He was trying to take his shoes and socks off while dangling from his Digimon's leg in mid-air. He did succeed though. And soon, they were grabbing more rings than Angewomon. Harpymon grabbed one in each talon, one in her mouth, and Emmett grabbed one in his mouth, one with his free hand, and one with each foot. This meant they were able to grab a total of 6 rings to Angewomon's 5!
The competition went on, and the score became
HolyHarpymon - 50
Angewomon - 49.
Both womanly angel Digimon were giving it their all. HolyHarpymon, because she wanted to save the world and Emmett's mom. Angewomon, because she was just super competitive. Throughout the competition, the gap between their scores went between being equal to being almost equal, but with Angewomon being one ring behind.
They continued to collect more and more rings. The rings never seemed to run out. Once, when all the ring had been collected, more magically appeared in their places. HolyHarpymon kept flying around collecting rings with her partner, and tossing them into her net. Angewomon did the same.
The score became
HolyHarpymon - 140
Angewomon - 139
Emmett reached and and grabbed a ring. He looked over to the net and was about to toss it in, when he felt a drop of water fall onto his face. He looked up and wondered what it was. "Is it starting to rain?" Emmett asked. He hoped not. If they had to take this trial in the rain, it might be hard. If Emmett's hand got drenched, it might make it hard (or even impossible) for him to continue clinging to HolyHarpymon's leg. However, that was not a drop of rain, it was a drop of sweat! HolyHarpymon was beginning to sweat heavily. Her face was drenched, and she was breathing heavily. She had been flying around, grabbing and tossing rings at top speed, not slowing down once. If she did, Angewomon would surpass them. "Emmett….I don't know how much longer I can keep this up." HolyHarpymon said, sounding exhausted. "I know what you mean. The blood in my arm has drained completely down. If it gets any more numb, I won't be able to hold on." Emmett said. Angewomon was sweating too. She reached up and grabbed her helmet. She took it off and tossed it over to the floating landmass that is Sky Town. The cross engraved helmet nearly hit Witchmon, but she ducked right before it smacked her in the face. "Hey! Watch it!" Witchmon shouted angrily. Angewomon grimaced. "Sorry!"
Emmett looked over to Witchmon and asked, "How much longer do we need to do this?" Witchmon looked down at her timer and then back up at Emmett. "Five more minutes." She answered. Emmett looked up at HolyHarpymon with a concerned expression on his face. "HolyHarpymon…think you can do it?" He asked. HolyHarpymon looked down at the blonde child holding onto her leg and nodded. "We have to." She replied. Angewomon had an angry expression on her face, which was all the more prominent now that the entirety of her face could be seen. "Are you kidding me!? I'm exhausted!" She yelled. Witchmon smirked and waved her index finger back and forth. "If you complain rather than compete, you'll lose." Witchmon said before letting out another cackle.
Angewomon and HolyHarpymon continued to compete with each other. The score was 579 for both of them, and there were only 10 seconds left to the match! Each one only had to insert one more ring for either of them to win. Angewomon and HolyHarpymon were flying back towards the nets at a breakneck pace. They were neck and neck, but HolyHarpymon began to slow down. "I'm….I'm not gonna make it! I don't….have the strength left!" HolyHarpymon exclaimed. She both looked and sounded exhausted. Emmett looked determined. "Throw me." He said. HolyHarpymon looked surprised. Did he just say what she thought he said? "Throw you?" "Yes, throw me. Kick the leg I'm clinging to. Just do it!" HolyHarpymon looked uncertain. "Alright." She said. HolyHarpymon kicked the leg Emmett was clinging to as hard as she could. Emmett let go and was sent flying towards the net. He spiked the ring into HolyHarpymon's net just as Witchmon's timer went off! "Annnd that's a match!" Witchmon said.
Emmett began to fall down to the ground below. "AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" HolyHarpymon swooped down and grabbed Emmett with her talons. Then, the competitors landed on the floating landmass that is Sky Town. HolyHarpymon dropped to her knees and panted heavily. Sweat down her face and dripped onto the ground. Her whole body was soaked. It was like she had been dunked into the ocean! Angewomon just lied down on the ground, on her back. She closed her eyes. "That….was intense." She said as she breathed heavily. "Angewomon is the winner!" Witchmon said. HolyHarpymon and Emmett both looked over to Witchmon quickly in surprise! "What!? But we got the most rings in before the time ran out!" HolyHarpymon objected. "Yes, but if you remember, I said that Emmett was to be with you at all times. He let go. Doing so helped you win, but that was against the rules." Witchmon explained. Emmett looked horrified. Did that mean they failed the trial? He looked down at the ground, looking dejected. "HolyHarpymon. I'm sorry. I…failed you." He said.
Witchmon cackled. "Failed!? You didn't fail! The whole point of this little competition was to test how well you and your Digimon worked together!" Witchmon said in a cheerful tone. Emmett took his D-Eco out of his pocket and looked at the back of it. His Crest Of Air was glowing a little! Witchmon smiled. "Well done, you two. Well done." She said. Emmett raised his head, turned to look at HolyHarpymon and smiled exuberantly. "We did it! We passed the first test! We did it!" Emmett cheered before glomping his partner. "Hey, Emmett! Stop! I'm all sweaty and icky!" HolyHarpymon objected. "I don't care!" Emmett said as he nuzzled up against HolyHarpymon's chest.
Witchmon then hopped on her broom and headed off somewhere. Witchmon was headed downwards towards the mainland off the edge of the cliff. HolyHarpymon and Emmett took this as their opportunity to rest. They both laid down on their backs on the ground. "I'm coming, Mom. I'll find All For One World HQ and I'll get you out of there." Emmett thought to himself. They then heard Witchmon's faint cackling. She was returning. The two sat up and looked in the direction of the cackling. They saw Witchmon zoom over their heads, flying on her broomstick, and then she stopped mid-air and turned the broom she was floating on 180 degrees. She pointed forwards behind the blonde child and his Digimon to the cliff edge she had just come from. "You guys better get ready! Toropiamon is comin' and he's steaming mad! This is your second test! Emmett, have HolyHarpymon defeat him while you ride her! If you fall off, you lose!" Witchmon exclaimed and explained.
HolyHarpymon stood up and looked down the edge of town. She could see Toropiamon approaching. Toropiamon was a plantlike dinosaur Digimon with massive leaflike wings that enabled him to fly. HolyHarpymon knelt down and looked back at Emmett, gesturing to him to get on. Emmett got on HolyHarpymon again piggyback style and the two of them raced off the cliff edge, raring to battle.
"Petal Carnage!" Toropiamon shouted as he dispersed a large amount of explosive pollen from the petals around his neck. HolyHarpymon tried to fly away from the pollen before it exploded. However, she got hit with some of the exploding pollen particles and took some damage! She cired out in pain and fell back! Emmett, fortunately, was unharmed. The pollen that exploded struck HolyHarpymon's legs. "I've got to be more careful. Emmett is with me. If I get hit, he could be seriously hurt. On top of that, I'm exhausted and can't dodge very well. I've got to finish this quickly." She thought to herself. HolyHarpymon then raised her arms out wide and furiously flapped her wings, causing feathers to fall off and transform into light arrows. "Marian Arrows!" She shouted right before the light arrows were sent flying towards Toropiamon. Toropiamon was hit with all of the arrows and took serious damage! He cried out in pain as he was hit with all of the arrows. The good thing about Toropiamon is that while he had a lot of power, he wasn't very fast. Fortunately, for Emmett and HolyHarpymon, this somewhat leveled the playing field. "You'll pay for that! Tropical Venom!" Toropiamon yelled before spewing a gas from his mouth as his opponents. HolyHarpymon tried to fly back. Gas based attacks were never good and always did something to the opponent that inhibited them from fighting, whether it be putting them to sleep, paralyzing them, or poisoning them. Unfortunately, she couldn't fly back fast enough. Both she and Emmett inhaled the Tropical Venom. Emmett began shuddering. "H-H-H-H-HolyHarpymon, I…I feel sick. I feel like I'm…..going to….pass out." Emmett said. HolyHarpymon wasn't affected yet. Maybe it's because she's a Digimon and Emmett is a human?
HolyHarpymon looked very concerned for her partner. Her mind raced as she tried to figure out what to do. She decided in a second. The purple rosary around her neck started glowing, and HolyHarpymon put her legs together and swung her arms out to make a T pose. "Saint Air!" She shouted. Holy Light shot out of the rosary and created a barrier of light around them, reminiscent of an aurora. Tiny light particles fell down upon the blonde child and in a matter of moments, he was better. HolyHarpymon had also healed herself of this status condition. HolyHarpymon then growled at Toropiamon. "You tried to hurt Emmett! That is unforgivable!" She then assumed the T pose again, and the rosary around her neck glowed once again. "Heaven's Charm!" HolyHarpymon shouted. Holy light shot out of HolyHarpymon's body in the shape of a cross! It hit Toropiamon and sent him hurtling towards the ground screaming in pain!
Emmett smiled. "Thanks, HolyHarpymon." He said. HolyHarpymon was breathing more heavily than ever. "Of course. You're….my best friend." She said weakly. HolyHarpymon flew back towards the edge of Sky Town. She made it to the floating landmass and the second she did, she de-digivolved back into Dovemon. Dovemon sat down on the ground, still panting heavily. Emmett checked his Digivice to see if his Crest was glowing anymore, and sure enough, it was! It was now glowing even brighter than when they had passed the first trial. Emmett put the Digivice back into his pocket and then walked over to Witchmon with a concerned look on his face. "Witchmon, I don't think Dovemon can handle anymore. She's exhausted. That first trial alone spent most of her energy." Emmett said.
It wasn't that his partner was low on stamina, but that ring competition lasted for a half an hour, and HolyHarpymon was flying at full speed, grabbing wings and tossing them without a break! Witchmon frowned and nodded. "You're right. And that's my fault for setting such a long timer for the first trial. I'm sorry. I'll think of a third test that doesn't involve your partner." Witchmon said. Dovemon then stood up and slowly walked over to Emmett. 'I'm sorry, Emmett." She said in a sad tone. Emmett bent down and picked Dovemon up, starting to cuddle her. "Don't apologize. You did great out there." Emmett said.
Witchmon then started pacing back and forth, trying to come up with a new trial. "Let's see…new trial, new trial. Gosh, I didn't think I'd have to come up with one on the spot like this." Witchmon muttered to herself. She then heard a loud "Owch!" Witchmon looked down to see that she had stepped on one of Angewomon's wings. She was still lying on the ground recovering from that grueling ring collecting competition. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Angewomon yelled. Witchmon's expression changed. She looked angry. She clenched her fist and shouted, "Don't yell at me! If you don't want to get stepped on, maybe you shouldn't lie on the ground where people are walking, blondie!" Witchmon shouted. Then, it dawned on her. Witchmon grinned. "I have an idea!" Tageor said "I hope it doesn't involve turning Angewomon into a toad. I'd rather not provoke the wrath of Seraphimon and Cherubimon."
About 20 minutes later, the sky surrounding Sky Town was full of Digimon neatly lined up in two rows. The Digimon consisted of Biyomons, Hawkmons, Birdramons, Hippogriffomon, and other flying Digimon. At the end of the 2 rows of Digimon was a checkered flag on a floating platform.
Angewomon and Emmett stood next to each other. At some point in the last 20 minutes, Angewomon had put her helmet back on.
Witchmon then began to explain the third trial, "Emmett, your task is to race to that flag over there, collect it, and then come back. You'll have to use these flying Digimon to whom I paid lots of money as stepping stones. Angewomon, you are not allowed to fly. You must also use these Digimon as stepping stones." Angewomon placed her hand on her hip and leaned to the side. "I understand. I'd have an unfair advantage if I flew." Angewomon said.
"On your mark, get set, go!" Witchmon said.
Emmett and Angewomon both began hopping from flying Digimon to flying Digimon. Angewomon landed on one Biyomon and he cried out in pain with his eyes nearly bulging out of his head. "AHH! Those heels are brutal! Thank King Drasil I'm getting paid for this!" He said. Angewomon smiled. "I might not be a cat anymore, but I'm still agile!" She said cheerfully. However, Angewomon's confidence was her downfall. Truthfully, she wasn't as agile as when she was a Gatomon, and sports like this wearing heels would be difficult for anyone. She took a misstep and fell. She spread her wings to catch some air and flew. Angewomon looked terrified. "Umm….Witchmon!? Am I disqualified if I only use my wings to keep myself from falling to my death?" She shouted. Witchmon cackled. "Yep, you betcha, blondie!" Witchmon replied. "But…but…it's not like I'm using them against Emmett! Once I'm back on Flackomon or whatever his name is, I'll go back to hopping!" She said. "It's Falcomon, not Flackomon!" yelled the Digimon from off to the side. "Sorry, but rules are rules." Witchmon said. Angewomon clenched her fists and growled. She was NOT happy. "No! I wanted to win!" Emmett grabbed the flag and hopped over back to the town edge.
"And Emmett is the winner!" Witchmon exclaimed. Emmett took his D-Eco out of his pocket and his D-Eco was shining very brightly now! So brightly, it was nearly blinding! The light shot out towards Dovemon and enveloped her. Dovemon perked up. She had been sitting, but when the light hit her, she quickly stood up. "Whoa! What the!? I'm not tired anymore!" Dovemon exclaimed.
DIGIVOLUTION
"Dovemon digivolve to….Harpymon!"
"Harpymon digivolve to…..HolyHarpymon!"
MEGA DIGIVOLUTION
"HolyHarpymon mega digivolve to…..Mariamon!"
In Dovemon's place stood a figure who appeared to be a woman. She had white feathers for hair, and two wings coming off the sides of her head. Out of her back protruded much larger wings. In her left hand, she wielded a large sword, and in her right hand, she held a large shield with a red cross on it. Around her neck was a large golden cross necklace that rested over top of her breasts. Over her torso was a shoulderless light gray, skin tight body suit that had an oval shape hole in the middle to expose her belly button, and had golden wing shaped pieces of metal to cover her breasts. This new Digimon was also wearing violet covered leggings that stopped just above the knees. On her feet were golden shoes. This new Digimon also sported the Holy Ring around her right leg.
Angewomon had come back up and landed on the ground of Sky Town. Emmett looked at his Digimon in awe. "Wow! Beautiful!" Emmett said. Mariamon gave Emmett one of those closed eyes smiles and said. "I am Mariamon, Dovemon's Mega form. I am an archangel Digimon who fights for all that is righteous. The very sight of a Dark Area Digimon makes my blood boil. My special attack; Sword Of The Spirit, will make confetti out of any demonic Digimon who dares to oppose me."
Emmett ran over and gave Mariamon a big hug. "You look so awesome! Who knew that my little Dovemon would become such a badass warrior angel babe!? I can't wait to see you in action!" Emmett said cheerfully. Mariamon sheathed her sword and put her shield onto her back. She then wrapped her arms around her partner. "Why don't we go show the others?" She suggested with a smile. Emmett looked up at her and nodded, saying "Ok!". Mariamon then took off towards the beach with Emmett in her arms.
When they landed, they heard loud thumping noises. They looked over and saw a gigantic tree woman headed for them. "WHAT IN THE WORLD!? WHAT IS THAT!?" Emmett shouted with a panicked look on his face. "IS THIS WHAT IT MEANS TO MAKE LIKE A TREE AND LEAF!?" Mariamon shouted, looking just as panicked as her partner. The giant tree woman was Chlorismon. She stopped herself from running and caused a good bit of sand to be kicked up onto Emmett and Mariamon. They both spit some sand out. Mariamon tugged at the grey body suit around her torso. "Ah man, there's sand in my b-" She began to say, but was cut off by Chlorismon, "Emmett! Look! Lookie lookie look look look! I'm a Mega! I'm a Mega!" Emmett and Mariamon both looked up, cranking their necks as high as they could to see Chlorismon's face. They looked confused. "N-Naturemon?!" Mariamon exclaimed.
"In the flesh! Or, wood, I should say." She said. She then bent down to lean in close to Mariamon. "Oh, hey! Who's the pretty feather lady?" Chlorismon asked. Chlorismon then put her hands on her face and assumed an excited facial expression. "Wait….oh my goodness! Dovemon digivolved to Mega!" Chlorismon said enthusiastically. Martin was riding on top of Chlorismon's head. At some point during her run, Chlorismon had put her partner up there. "So both our partners turned into Megas, huh? So, what's her name?" Martin asked. "I am Mariamon." The archangel Digimon answered for herself.
"And I'm Chlorismon! Hey, did you know Chloris was the Roman goddess of flowers? And did you know Chloris was also known by the name Flora? And did you know that Flora is the name of Martin's mother! Pretty neat, huh?" Chlorismon said cheerfully.
Drusilla and Coalmon were standing off to the side. They hadn't undergone their trial yet because Wizardmon, like Witchmon, could only oversee one chosen child's trial at a time. "Wow! So, Chlorismon and Mariamon! You two look amazing! And Chlorismon, you're so big! I could make a tree house in one of the branches growing out of your back and live in it!" Coalmon exclaimed. Chlorismon put her hand up to her face and giggled before standing up. "You can do that if you want, but I'll charge you rent." She joked. Drusilla placed her hand on her hip and put her other hand up to her mouth. She started thinking. "Hmm…I wonder what your Mega form will look like, Coalmon. Maybe you'll turn into a giant woman like Chlorismon. With a big guitar that sends shock waves at the opponent. You'll be a big…ROCK star." Drusilla said. "Etemon wouldn't have anything on me!" Coalmon said. The two then started laughing.
Just then, Chlorismon and Mariamon began slowing, then they began shrinking. When the light surrounding their bodies faded, there were now two small Digimon that the children had never seen before. In Chlorismon's place was a little girl who was about the size of a 3 year old. She had light green hair, light green eyes with no whites or irises, and two small vines hanging off the sides of her two pointy ears. Her torso was made of wood, but her arms weren't, and she wore a big white skirt. On top of her head was a small sprout. In Mariamon's place was a small birdlike Digimon who was the size of an actual bird. "They de-digivolved!" Drusilla observed. "But into what?" Coalmon asked.
The little green haired girl spoke first. "My name's DemiNaturemon. I'm the In-Training form of Naturemon."
"And I'm DemiDovemon. I'm Dovemon's In-Training form."
"So, it's just like with Taylor's Digimon." Emmett said. Then Martin picked DemiNaturemon and started cuddling and nuzzling her. "Oh my gee golly gosh! You're so freaking adorable, I can't stand it! SQUEEEE!!!!!!" Martin exclaimed as he cuddled the little toddlerlike humanoid Digimon. "Now I know how it feels!" DemiNaturemon said as her cheeks were being squished. Her voice sounded like that of a 3 year old girl as well. DemiDovemon started looking around. "Hey, where are Taylor and Nibblemon, anyway?" She asked.
They looked over and saw Nibblemon bouncing up and down at the beach's edge. In just a moment, Taylor popped out of the water in her mermaid form. She took on human legs and walked onto the beach, holding her t-shirt, shorts, shoes, and socks in her hands. "I finally got my clothes back." Taylor said. Taylor had gone off to search for the clothes she stripped off during her own Crest trial. Emmett then looked like he screwed something up. "Oh….crap. My shoes." He looked down and remembered that he was barefoot. Like Taylor, he had to remove some articles of clothing for the sake of his trial. "Ah man, my Mom got me those." he said. "Your mom gets you everything, Mama's boy." DemiDovemon teased. Emmett scowled down at the little bird Digimon. "Yeah? So? She's a wonderful mother who likes getting gifts for her son! Besides, it's not like she dresses me or anything. She just buys my clothes. And it's not like she forces outfits on me or anything. She just knows what I like." Emmett said, trying to defend himself. "I've seen her dress you." DemiDovemon said. Emmett took a step forward with a clenched fist. "Hey! She did not dress me! One of the shirts she got me was a bit too small and I got stuck. She helped me get it off." Emmett said.
While the children and their Digimon were conversing, Witchmon and Wizardmon had made their way back to the beach to regroup. Now, the only one yet to achieve Mega was Coalmon. Wizardmon walked up to Drusilla and asked, "Are you ready for your trial?" Drusilla nodded. "I've been ready since we got here. Being the last one is so not cool." Drusilla said.
