The 4 tween Digidestined and Evander took seats. Agumon, Ladybugmon, and Terriermon were in the corner of the room assorting paperwork. "Needless to say, we're going to need an explanation." Emmett said.
Naturemon walked to the middle of the room and cleared her throat. "This is going to be LOOOOOTS to unpack, so you'd better grab drinks and some snackies." She said before turning to Martin. "Marty Hearty? Do you have drinks and snackies?" Naturemon asked. Martin looked confused. "Umm…no?" He responded. Naturemon started stomping her left foot. "Marty Hearty! Go downstairs and get some drinks and snackies! If you don't, everyone will have rumbly tummies by the time I'm done!" Naturemon said in a scolding tone. Emmett adjusted the glasses on his face. "Naturemon, that's not really necessary. Just tell us what you remember." He said.
Dovemon flew up and landed on the table in between both couches. "Allow me. So, Sharkmon, Naturemon, Coalmon, and myself are all creations of every single Yggdrasil in every single version of the Digital World in the multiverse. They created us because there is a coming threat; an organization called All For One World who plans on annihilating every single universe save for one. Initially, we were all one Digimon called Harmonymon." Dovemon explained.
"We didn't know anything about anything when we first woke up, but Kari kindly taught us. She taught us many things; what Digimon are, what humans are, what Digidestined are, what various kinds of foods are, and many other things we didn't know. She even told us about her family and shared some of her adventures as a Digidestined in her own universe." Sharkmon added.
"We were in a test tube for the longest time. It was soooooo boring in there, but whenever Kari visited, it made us so happy. She not only taught us many things about the Digital and physical worlds, but she helped us pass the time. We had to wait until we were fully powered up before we could leave." Naturemon added.
"Unfortunately, before the processing could be finished, All For One World attacked with an army of Gizumon and other Digimon. They wanted to destroy us because they knew Harmonymon would stand in their way. Kari and T.K caused their Digimon to digivolve to fight off the intruders, but outside, a large group of Omnimon Zwarts were working on cutting the divine tree down. The divine tree is a very large tree which is Yggdrasil's main domain. The laboratory we were in was on one of the floors of that tree. It's really rather like a tree shaped tower." Coalmon explained.
Kari was rubbing her Gatomon's head. Gatomon was curled up like a typical sleeping house cat. She looked over to it and then over at the 4 kids. "The Royal Knights fought to defend the divine tree, but they were too late. It toppled over. That's when Harmonymon's test tube shattered. Harmonymon wanted to fight to protect us, but she was too weak to even stand up. I knew I had to protect her, so I used a program that I got from my friend Izzy. Izzy said to use the program in just that scenario should it ever occur. It would cause Harmonymon to split apart into 4 different consciousnesses and automatically send them to the human world." Kari explained. Naturemon put her fist up to her chest and frowned at Kari. "That really hurt lots and lots." Naturemon said, her lips almost puckering. Kari continued to pet her Gatomon, who appeared to be enjoying it so much that she was literally purring. Kari frowned at Naturemon. "I know. I'm sorry. I hated seeing you in that much pain." She said. Sharkmon jumped up into Kari's lap and gave a big grin with his sharp jagged shark teeth. "Don't worry about it, Kari! You did what you did to protect us! Besides, if you didn't use Izzy's program, I never would have met Taylor! She's a lot like you. She's a girl, she's got brown hair, and she's nice. And….she has a digivice!" Sharkmon said. Taylor raised an eyebrow. Being brown haired females who were nice made her a lot like Kari? Kari smiled, "Oh, and which one is Taylor?" She asked. Sharkmon turned around and pointed at the goggle wearing girl with his stubby little leg. "She is." Sharkmon said.
Evander and Taylor were both rubbing their chins listening intently to the explanations, taking it all in. "So…basically, you guys were this one big Jogress Digimon who was supposed to be the most powerful Digimon in all of existence to fight some coming threat that will destroy the multiverse which - what a bombshell, it actually exists - and Kari sent you here after that threat attacked." Taylor summarized. Sharkmon nodded. "Yep!"
Kari leaned forward and folded her hands, looking Taylor directly in the eyes. She looked at the goggles on top of her head and smiled. She thought of her older brother Tai and her friend Davis who also wore goggles. Her face then went serious. "Taylor, you and your friends are probably the most important Digidestined team to ever come to be. Digidestined in other universes have saved their Digital World, their human world, or both, but never has nearly every world been at stake." Kari said. Taylor took a big gulp. That was a lot of pressure! T.K had been silent the whole time. He was leaning back resting his eyes. Truth be told, he was kind of bored. He opened his eyes and sat up straight. "All 4 of the consciousnesses that derived from Harmonymon were assigned Digidestined partners. This was the will of Homeostasis. She knew that with Digidestined partners and digivices, 'The Elemental Four', as we like to call them, would digivolve back into Harmonymon again some day." T.K explained.
"Yggdrasil said this would be faster than letting the Digimon digivolve back into Harmonymon naturally." Kari added.
Taylor raised her finger and smiled. "Makes sense. Natural Digivolution can take months and sometimes years. Digimon need to win lots of battles and/or meet other conditions to digivolve. Very few ever make it past the Ultimate stage." Taylor said, again showing off her knowledge of Digimon and being blatantly proud of it.
"So what about the Crusaders Against Digimon? How did they get Gizumon and Red Stones? Are they collaborating with All For One World?" Evander asked.
"We think Crusaders Against Digimon are a pawn of All For One World, or AFOW. You see, they're absorbing Digimon data using the Gizumon and infusing it into Deity Stones, or Red Stones as you call them. The stones get more powerful the more Digimon data is infused into them. Since Crusaders Against Digimon want to rid this world of Digimon anyway, they were easy to manipulate." T.K said.
Taylor then reached into her pocket and brought out her Digivice. She flipped it around to display the back. On the back of her Digivice, there was the blue metallic pendant with waves engraved on it. It snuggly fit into a circular slot on the back of the Digivice. "Bokomon told you to give me this. Why? What is it? And why does it fit so snugly into the back of my Digivice?" Taylor asked. "That's your Crest of Water." answered T.K's Patamon, who was flapping in mid-air a couple of feet over T.K's head. Taylor tilted her head and put her finger over her lips, looking confused. "Crest?" Kari had stopped petting Gatomon, to her annoyance. Gatomon sat up and turned to look at Taylor. "Homeostasis created four pendants to represent each of the four elements. In our universe and in yours, Crests represent character traits like courage, friendship, knowledge, etc. In this case, they represent elements. In order for your Digimon to Digivolve to the Ultimate level, rather than display or grow into the trait represented by your crest - as has traditionally been the case - you'll have to become one with the element of your crest." Gatomon explained.
Everyone was silent for a moment. All of this was a lot to take in. Agumon, Terriermon, and Ladybugmon were still sitting in the corner, but they had stopped sorting paperwork a long time ago. With all these bombshells being dropped, how could they continue? They sat there quietly listening to the conversation. At that moment, it occurred to Agumon to ask a question. He raised his arm in the air and asked "Excuse me, Kari. Why didn't you contact us before now?" He asked. Kari looked back at the little orange Digimon and smiled. Thoughts of her brother came up again. He also had an Agumon as a Digimon partner. "Simply put, we just didn't know where Harmonymon's four consciousnesses ended up. We had to a bit of searching." Kari responded.
T.K grabbed his crutches and stood up. "Honey, it's getting late. We should go." he said looking over to his wife. Kari raised her hand. There was one more thing she wanted to tell them. Kari got up and walked over to Taylor. Kari reached into her pocket and handed her a legal pad with some numbers and other things written on it. "T.K and I are part of an organization called World For Us All, or W.F.U.A. We're a recently formulated team that ensures peace and harmony endures in the multiverse. Our headquarters is in a space that's…well….not in space. When all four of you have successfully bonded with the forces of nature and digivolved your Digimon to Ultimate, enter the coordinates on this paper to visit our base." Kari said.
At A Tower Nearby….
Rumiko Shinigaki walked into a large tower that looked like an office building, both on the outside and on the inside. She walked up to the secretary at the front desk. The secretary was a black haired human woman. "Oh, hello Mrs. Shinigaki." She said. Rumiko looked around to see if anyone was watching her or listening in, then she turned back to the secretary. "The meteor that's largest hits hardest." Rumiko said. What did that mean? It was a password. The secretary nodded and reached into her desk, pulling out a special card. The card had the physical feel of a credit or debit card, and it had the C.A.D logo on it. The secretary handed the C.A.D card to her with a serious look on her face and said, "The meteor that's largest hits hardest indeed."
This was a two way password to ensure that no one got this card who wasn't supposed to. Despite being the head of the organization, Rumiko set up this password system just in case anyone with any shapeshifting technology might attempt to infiltrate them. If they didn't know the password, it didn't matter how much they looked and sounded like Rumiko or any other C.A.D member. They weren't getting the card without the password. Rumiko placed the card in her pocket and walked over to one of the elevators. She pushed a button and waited for the elevator doors to open. When they did, Rumiko walked in and inserted the card into a slot just below the floor buttons. Rumiko then pressed several buttons on the floor; 6167352. These were ordinarily pressed to get to, say, the 6th floor, or the 2nd floor, but pushing all of the elevator buttons in this specific order with the C.A.D Card Key in the slot caused the elevator to descend to a place that did not officially exist; the C.A.D underground! Rumiko nearly lost her balance as the elevator jerked a little as it went down. No need for alarm though. It always did that. Rumiko grabbed a handle bar on the side of the elevator's interior to keep herself from falling. When the elevator reached its destination, the doors opened, and Rumiko stepped out into a room that was the size of a airplane hanger! Many inactive Gizumon XT lined the sides of the room and in the center, like a sleeping robotic army ready to march whenever anyone gave the order.
Rumiko smirked as she walked past the Gizumon XT. These artificial Digimon would be just what they needed to rid the world of real Digimon. Rumiko walked up to a wooden door on the far side of the room opposite the elevator door. She opened it and inside was a room just as large as the one she had exited. This room had boxes, and boxes, and boxes full of Red Stones! There had to be thousands of Red Stones in total! Rumiko again went to the other side of the room and walked through another door. This room was more like an auditorium. There were a large number of C.A.D members in the room, of every gender and race. Male, Female, Humans, Mermaids, Mermen, Rokusapiens, Cerebrenians, Felinciuses, Demi-Felinciuses, Reptilionus, and even a few Devillians in the audience. These huge rooms were all underground; underneath a tower that served as an attorney office building as a front.
Rumiko got up on the stage and stood behind a microphone on a podium. She began to give a speech; "That detective and his brat are making our mission more and more difficult. We haven't been able to eradicate as many Digimon as we'd like because when we send out a Gizumon or two, they get destroyed. The only thing they haven't been able to stop is the collateral damage the rampaging Red Marked Digimon cause. They always cause at least a little bit of damage before those kids - those Digidestined - even arrive. To keep the law off our backs, we've played it safe; sending out one or two Gizumon, causing maybe one Digimon to become Red Marked a day. But now is the time to stop playing it safe! Our benefactor has given us all of the Gizumon and Red Stones we could possibly ever need! We can launch an all out war on Tokyo!" The crowd of varied races cheered as they listened to their leader's words. "For far too long, Digimon have plagued this world. The super intelligent ones have basically robbed every IT person in the world of jobs, they have killed innocent people, they battle in the streets and cause damage to homes and businesses, and the government hasn't done a thing to stop it. That is why Crusaders Against Digimon exist! We will rid this world of these pests! What do you do when you have a roach infestation? You don't befriend the roaches! You exterminate them! WE! WILL! EXTERMINATE!" Rumiko said. The crowd in the auditorium got more and more riled up.
"First, we'll Red Mark every Digimon in this city and cause them to go on a mass rampage. I'll be sure to keep them away from your own homes and businesses. No C.A.D member will suffer from this. But with a mass riot of Red Marked Digimon, the Japanese government…no…all the governments on Earth, or even all the governments on every planet will awaken from their slumber which has blinded them to the truth! Digimon are dangerous! Digimon are pests! They will practically beg us to unleash our Gizumon to take care of them!" Rumiko continued, holding her arms out as she spoke. The crowd cheered again.
Rumiko was practically being energized by her own speech, not to mention the cheers of the crowd. "Yes! Yes! We will save this world from the vermin that are called Digimon! Short for Digital Monster! Ironic, isn't it? The word 'monster' is even in the name! We will unleash Project Red Mark Riot tomorrow afternoon! Every C.A.D member will be equipped with bazookas that are loaded with Red Stones and a fleet of Gizumon XT for protection. And don't you worry about those children OR their parents. Even if they free a few Red Mark Digimon, they won't be able to stop the widespread damage, and the fear and hate of Digimon that will arise in the populace as a result!" The crowd cheered some more.
Rumiko reached into her jacket pocket and brought out a photo of herself next to a man and a young child standing in front of them. "Junichiro, Kota…I will have justice for you soon." She thought to herself as she stared at the photo.
The next day….
Taylor and Sharkmon were at the bottom of the ocean swimming around in circles, giggling and laughing. They were engaged in a game of tag. Sharkmon was trying to touch Taylor, but she kept evading his little hands. "You'll never catch me!" Taylor teased before giggling. "I….won't….give UP!" He said before unleashing a powerful fart that propelled him forward and gave him just enough momentum to poke Taylor in the belly button. "Tag! You're finally it!" Sharkmon said. Taylor had a facial expression that can best be described by the phrase "What the frick?" Sharkmon looked her in her goggle-covered eyes. "What?" He said. "Did you….just…win by farting?" She asked. They both were silent and stared at each other for 2 seconds before they both burst out in laughter. Sharkmon turned around to start swimming in the other direction. "Now try to catch me!" Sharkmon said before taking off. Taylor smirked and swung her mermaid tail down hard to get a good start. She chased him around a little bit.
"Rolling Shark!" Sharkmon shouted before making his fin glow and curling up into a ball. He began rolling across the ocean floor, leaving a groove in the sandy ocean floor as he went. "Hey! No fair!" Taylor said. She could never keep up with that little guy when he used his Rolling Shark attack for travel. Sharkmon got some distance from Taylor. "Ha! You'll never catch me now!" He said before resuming swimming normally. He was swimming while looking behind him at the young brunette mermaid trying to catch up, so he didn't see the blonde mermaid in front of him. He rammed into her belly face first. "Watch where you're going, you loser!" It was Brittany Dousington. Taylor stopped in her tracks, her happy and perky demeanor turned sour. "Brittanny. Just great." She said. Brittany looked over to Taylor so smug. "Playing a game of tag? What are you, a child?" She said. Taylor scowled and folded her arms. "Well, yeah! I'm 11!" She said, stating the obvious.
"11 what? Months? Days?" Taunted Brittany.
"11 years!" Taylor responded angrily.
"You mean you're that old and you haven't even gotten a clam shell top yet? Oh, but of course not, you have nothing there to even cover. You're as flat as last week's soda." Brittany taunted.
Taylor didn't say anything but just growled and scowled. Brittany wasn't done. "As if those goofy goggles over your eyes weren't bad enough, all you have is a black tube top. You could at least TRY to pretty yourself up a little more. Get yourself some pearl bracelets, maybe a necklace. You can even put one around the base of your tail like moi." Brittany taunted. Brittany had a sparkling goldish clam shell top over her developed breasts, and she also wore bracelets on each wrist with beads that looked like pearls. She wore a necklace that sported various different sea shells, and she had a beaded bracelet around the base of her mermaid tail. Taylor rolled her eyes. She was a bit of a tomboy and she knew it. She wasn't really into dressing up girly. For her, a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and just any ole' sneakers were enough while on land, and the tube top was enough for her while in the ocean. Though she did look forward to the various different kinds of clam shell coverings she could get once she…developed.
Taylor then got a beeping noise on her Digivice. She took her Digivice out of her satchel and answered the call. No one had called her on her Digivice before. "Umm….hello?" She said. When she answered, holograms of the other 3 Gen Alpha Digidestined showed up above the Digivice, but just their faces. The Digivice was projecting holograms of different screens, so the other children looked like they would on a video chat. A video chat in 3D. "Taylor! It's Emmett! Have you seen the news!" Taylor tilted her head. "No, why?" She inquired. "Red Marked Digimon are attacking Tokyo, Shibuya, and Akihabara in droves!" Drusilla told her. "It's like every Digimon in the city has been Red Marked!" Dovemon said. Taylor looked surprised. "Every Digimon! I can't believe it!" Taylor exclaimed. "Not to sound like a certain ninja protagonist, but believe it!" Drusilla replied.
"Dovemon and I are in the Digital World right now on our way to join up with Drusilla and Martin." Emmett said.
"Be careful. Don't get hurt. Please." Martin said. Taylor smirked a little. "You worried I might die before you can confess your feelings to me?" Taylor said. Martin blushed a deep red color. "F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-Feelings?! W-w-w-w-w-what feelings? I-" He was flustered. Everyone hung up.
Taylor turned to Sharkmon about to tell him the situation, but as she looked, she saw a very large group of Sangomon, Ikkakumon, Mermaidmon, and Piranimon all surrounding Sharkmon and Brittany. Brittany grabbed onto Sharkmon and hugged him tightly like a child gripping a teddy bear in the fear of a dark night. "Sharkmon! Protect me! Do your job as a partner Digimon, you useless thing!" Brittany exclaimed. "I can't unless you let me go!" Sharkmon replied. Brittany let loose and they both swam over to Taylor, Brittany cowering behind Taylor. Taylor looked intently at all of the Digimon. Each one of them had a Red Mark on the forehead area and glowing red eyes. Her eyes were darting all over the place, looking specifically at each Digimon. She was whispering numbers under her breath. "There are about 25 Digimon in all!" Taylor said. "Can I really handle that many by myself?" Sharkmon wondered. Taylor took a hard gulp staring at the group of Digimon before them. "You'll have to." She said.
Taylor held up her Digivice and the word "DIGIVOLUTION" scrolled across the screen in big green letters.
"Sharkmon digivolve to….Jawsmon!"
Jawsmon stood and glared at the group of Deep Savers Digimon. Brittany had stars in her eyes and her hands clasped. "That's what Sharkmon digivolves into!? He's so…ripped!" She shouted.
"Nothern Cross Bomber!" One of the Mermaidmons shouted before launching the golden anchor she was holding in her hands at Jawsmon. Jawsmon caught the anchor with both of his hands and tossed it aside. "Shark Body Ram!" Jawsmon shouted, using his powerful legs to propel himself through the water at 70 miles per hour at the opponent. Jawsmon rammed into Mermaidmon, butting his head up against hers, and force of the blow instantly deleted her Red Mark. But before Jawsmon could turn to fight another Digimon, he got hit with a golden anchor in the back! It came from one of the other Mermaidmon. She retracted her golden anchor and twirled it a couple of times before hurling it at Jawsmon again. "Nothern Cross Bomber!" She shouted. Jawsmon jumped up and dodged it, but immediately after, one of the Ikkakumon hit him with a "Harpoon Torpedo!" This attack is when the horn on Ikkakumon's head sheds and a missile comes out. Jawsmon got hit with the missile and grunted in pain. Jawsmon launched himself over to the Ikkakumon with his powerful legs and let out a flurry of punches. "Power Pummeling!" The Ikkakumon grunted as it got hit with punch after punch after punch from Jawsmon's powerful arms. Suddenly, one of the Mermaidmon grabbed Jawsmon from behind and put him in a choke hold. She opened her mouth wide and moved her jaw in close, as though she were a vampire about to suck blood from her prey. Taylor gasped. "Jawsmon! Don't let her bite you or you'll be Red Marked too!" She shouted. Jawsmon reached behind him and grabbed the mermaid Digimon by the head. He threw her over his shoulder and slammed her down on the ocean floor.
Jawsmon then punched the Mermaidmon right in the forehead, causing the Red Mark to vanish. Mermaidmon looked relieved. "Thank you….Jawsmon, was it?" She said. "You can thank me by teaming up with me and helping me fight." Jawsmon replied. The Mermaidmon nodded. "Right." She said before getting up and surveying the battlefield. "By the way, you can call me Kanami. We in The Mermaidmon Clique all have nicknames." She said. Jawsmon nodded. "Kanami, I'm counting on you to have my back." He said.
Kanami saw one of the Ikakkumon coming at her. "Nothern Cross Bomber!" Kanami shouted as she hurled her golden anchor at its Red Mark. It hit, but it didn't do enough damage to delete it. Kanami retracted her golden anchor, twirled it a couple of times, and then hurled it again. "Northern Cross Bomber!" Again, it hit. The Red Mark started glitching and fizzling. One more hit ought to do it. "Nothern Cross Bomber!" The Ikkakumon was freed from the Red Mark's control. "Whoa! What a weird feeling!" The now freed Ikkakumon exclaimed. "Ikkakumon! We're outnumbered! Please help us!" Kanami pleaded. Ikkakumon nodded. "You got it, missy." He responded.
Jawsmon was engaging one of the Piranimon. "Calamity Vise!" The Piranimon shouted as it clamped its powerful jaws on Jawsmon. Jawsmon grunted and winced in pain. "This is like a baby teething compared to my bite." Jawsmon said. Jawsmon then bit down hard on Piranimon, right on top of the Red Mark. "Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon shouted as he bit down. The Red Mark took a little damage, but wasn't destroyed. "Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon shouted as he repeatedly chomped down on Piranimon. Peesh! The Red Mark vanished. Piranimon let go and looked Jawsmon in the eye. "I guess I ought to thank you, and help you fight." It said. Jawsmon said nothing.
Taylor gasped, realizing what had just happened! Piranimon had bitten Jawsmon! A Red Mark suddenly appeared on Jawsmon's belly and his eyes turned red. "Oops. Uhh…my bad." The Piranimon said.
Kanami was fencing with another Mermaidmon with their anchors. "Harumi! I promise that'll I set you free from this thing!" She said to other Mermaidmon. A third Mermaidmon that had been freed came to Kanami's aid. She punched Harumi in the forehead over and over and over. "Nobody! Messes! With! The Mermaidmon Clique!" She said while she punched. Eventually, the Red Mark on Harumi was freed. She hugged the third Mermaidmon with a look of relief on her face. "Asami! Thank you!" She said. Kanami shrugged her shoulders. "Hey, I helped too, Harumi." She said.
Suddenly, the Red Marked Jawsmon grabbed Kanami's head and pinned her to the ground. Asami and Harumi gave each other a knowing nod. They both hurled their anchors at Jawsmon simultaneously. Jawsmon grunted as the two anchors hit him in the back. He turned around and glared at the two Mermaidmon. He was about to counter attack, but before he could they both hit him with a "Nothern Cross Bomber!" right in the Red Mark! The Red Mark disappeared. "Thanks for that." Jawsmon said.
Taylor threw her fist up in the air with a joyful look on her face. "Alright, Mermaidmons!" She cheered.
Jawsmon then turned to another Ikkakumon that was Red Marked. "Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite! Titanic Bite!" Jawsmon attacked over and over. Ikakkumon tried to jab him with his horn, but he dodged it. "Power Pummeling! Power Pummeling! Power Pummeling!" Jawsmon shouted as he punched the Red Mark on Ikkakumon over and over and over. The Mermaidmon Clique all guarded his rear and fended off Digimon who wanted to attack Jawsmon while he worked on Ikkakumon. The Red Mark on the Ikkakumon was glitching up and fizzling wildly now. "This will do it!" Jawsmon said before delivering one final punch, dissolving the Red Mark completely.
Taylor smiled brightly. "Wow! I thought Jawsmon would have to take care of all of these Digimon by himself, but he doesn't! The Digimon he frees are helping him! The more Digimon he frees, the more help Jawsmon has. And the more help Jawsmon has, the faster and easier this will go!" Taylor thought to herself.
Taylor's eye caught a glimpse of a bright blue glow. It was coming from her D-Eco. She turned it over and saw the Crest Of Water in the compartment on the back. It was shining a big blue light like there was a special at K-Mart. "My D-Eco? My Crest Of Water? Does this mean Jawsmon is about to…" Taylor wondered aloud as she glanced at the shining pendant. Then, the light faded, as did Taylor's smile of anticipation.
The fighting went on for 15 more minutes. Eventually, all that was left was one more Ikkakumon. Jawsmon grinned, showing all of his massive, sharp, jagged teeth. "One more and we can regroup with our friends." Jawsmon said before taking off running towards the Ikkakumon's direction. "Shark Body Ram!" Jawsmon rammed into the Ikkakumon's Red Mark and it dissolved.
Taylor was punching the water above her with a huge grin on her face. "Whoo hoo! Way to go, Jawsmon! Way to go Mermaidmon Clique! Way to go, everyone! Whoo hoo!" She cheered. Brittany sighed. "We're safe….at last." She said softly. Taylor turned to Brittany and looked at her smugly. "Well? I'm waiting." Taylor said. "Waiting for what?" Brittany asked. "I'm waiting for you to thank me for saving your tail. You'd be fish food if Sharkmon and I weren't here." Taylor explained. A look of disgust came across Brittany's face. She rolled her eyes and groaned. She didn't want to do it, but Taylor did help her. "Ugh. Fine. Like, thanks, or something." Taylor closed her eyes and grinned, and let out a slight giggle. "Oh, you're welcome, Brittany. It's my job as a Digidestined." She responded in a condescending tone.
The Mermaidmon Clique turned to Taylor and each one of them flashed her thumbs up. "Well, now that the fighting's over, it's time for The Mermaidmon Clique to get back to doing what we do best; seducing attractive Aqualian men so they'll give us their treasure!" Kanami said. All three of them crossed golden anchors, Three Musketeers style. "Kanami", "Asami", "Hurumi!" Each one said their names aloud. "Mermaidmon Clique, away!" They all shouted in unison as they turned around and swam off. Jawsmon had a big sweat drop roll down his head with a disgusted look on his face. "Wonderful. So I was assisted by honey trap thieves." He said. Jawsmon's stomach growled. He turned to Taylor. "Taylor! I'm hungry! Let's go get something to eat!" Jawsmon said.
"We can't. We still have Red Marked Digimon back on land to fight." Taylor said. Jawsmon started sulking. "Awww! Come ooooooon! I'm wastin' away here!" He complained. Taylor giggled. "If you're a good boy, I'll let you have the leftover curry I'd been saving." Jawsmon perked up and began flexing. "Hungry? Hah! Hungry for battle, I am!" He said. Brittany got stars in her eyes again when Jawsmon started flexing his muscles.
They then heard a familiar voice from behind them. "Taylor!" They turned around to see Jessica Glovion; Taylor's Mom. She was in her mermaid form and had blue clam shells with white stripes covering her breasts. She swam over to Taylor and embraced her. "Oh! My baby! Are you ok?" Jessica asked. "Mom! You're going to make my goggles go cockeyed!" Taylor complained. "It's absolute chaos on land right now." Jessica said in a serious tone. "There are Red Marked Digimon EVERYWHERE! Taylor, I need you and Jawsmon to stay here in the ocean. Go into Plankton City and see if they're under attack too. I'd have you join your own Digidestined team and do it myself, but unlike you, I don't have any Deep Savers Digimon. Pawnchessmon can even drown in a bath tub!" Jessica said.
Jessica could very well just use her Poseidonic powers to fight, but in a densely populated city like Plankton City, she feared that going all goddess-of-the-sea on them would do more harm than good. Although she could control her powers so as not to destroy the entire planet, her skills at wielding the trident were still less than what she desired. And in the 11 years since the Kappamon/Ophanimon Falldown incident, she didn't have a lot of opportunities to practice.
Taylor left Jessica's embrace and looked at her with a determined expression. "Then I'll fight down here, and you go fight on land." She said.
Jawsmon was facing away from Taylor. He looked back at her with a smile, and tapped the shark fin on his back with his left thumb. "Hop on." He said. So Taylor swam up and grabbed Jawsmon's shark fin with both hands. "Hold on tightly." Jawsmon said. She did, and Jawsmon used his powerful legs to start dashing through the water at incredible speed! Jessica watched as her daughter and her Digimon went in Plankton City's direction. "Good luck, my little guppy." Jessica said.
