To get started on YouTube you’ll need to create a channel to host your videos. Uploading video content will not automatically make you money, however. 

So, be sure that you enable monetization in your settings as you’re configuring your account. This will give you the possibility of making money from your YouTube videos down the line. At that point, you can decide which monetization tactics to work with.
