Purpose
This website is the home base for the ICE 2018 Presentation: IRL Designing Digital Learning Experiences, as presented by the faculty and students of National Louis University 2017-2018.

Victoria (Tori) Alland
Tori Alland is a fourth grade teacher at Hawthorn Elementary School in Vernon Hills. She is a level 1 Google Certified Educator and gaining membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success through National Louis University.
She will earn her Masters in Learning Technologies by June 2018.
She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in 2013 with an endorsement in middle school mathematics.

Mia Gutsell
Mia Gutsell is a social science teacher and instructional technology coach in Illinois, as well as a Google for Education Certified Trainer.
She will earn her Masters of Technology in Education by June 2018.
She earned her B.A in History from Loyola University Chicago in 2012, along with her B.S in Secondary Education.

Douglas Van Dyke
Doug received a B.F.A. in Theater Education from The Catholic University of America and an M.A. in English Literature from De Paul University. He is currently on a path towards doctoral studies in Learning Sciences and Educational Technologies at National Louis University.
Doug has twenty-two years’ experience teaching high school ELA, speech, and theatre in public, charter and Catholic schools in Chicago, New York City, Jersey City and Bethesda, MD. He has served in various leadership roles at the schools in which he has worked, including six years as Professional Development Coordinator and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. He is a certified chair for Practice-Based Inquiry, leading teams of Chicago educators on week-long PBI visits of CPS high schools. He now runs his own education consulting organization, providing support to schools in curriculum, instruction, assessment, leadership coaching, and professional development.

Dr. Angela Elkordy
Dr. Angela Elkordy, is Director, Learning Technologies at National Louis University and Chair of the newly formed Learning Sciences program area. Dr. Elkordy has been a teacher educator for over a decade, and shares her knowledge through professional networks and conferences, including ISTE, ICE and MACUL. She believes that learning should be collaborative, engaging, innovative and.... fun!
Dr. Ayn Kenneman
Dr. Ayn Keneman, is Program Director, Early Childhood Education at National Louis University. Dr. Keneman has been a teacher educator for over twenty years and shares her knowledge through professional networks and conferences, including presenting at the International Literary Association conference and attending the National Technology Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. She believes in the importance of collaborating and creating together to engage all diverse learners to learn and have fun!!
