Delete Your Digihostel Account
If you no longer wish to use Digihostel, you can request permanent deletion of your account and associated data at any time — even if you have already uninstalled the app.
How to Delete Your Account
Send an email to: [sqlcollection48@gmail.com], with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Include the following details in your email so we can verify your identity:
--Your full name
--Your registered phone number
--Your role (Student / Parent / Warden)
--Your hostel name/code
Confirmation: We will reply to confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days, and ask you to confirm ("Yes, please delete my account") before we proceed — this is a final confirmation step to prevent accidental deletion.
Processing: Once confirmed, we will complete the deletion within 7 business days and send you a final confirmation email once it is done.
Note: This action cannot be undone. Once your account and data are deleted, they cannot be recovered.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a confirmed deletion request, we permanently delete:
--Your name, phone number, and profile information
--Your Google account linkage
--Your attendance and check-in/check-out history
--Your outing pass requests and complaint submissions
--Your linked guardian/parent contact details (for student accounts)
What May Be Retained, and Why
Fee and financial records: Fee payment history may be retained for up to 3 years for accounting, audit, and legal record-keeping purposes, even after your account is deleted.
Legally required records: Any information we are legally required to retain (e.g., for tax or regulatory purposes) is kept only as long as legally necessary, then deleted.
All other personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request.
