Basic Shape Movement

Here is a GIF I made using basic photoshop animation skills. The basis of this was to create a frame animation and have it move in some way through the screen. For this, I used a square and made it walk around before sinking downwards.

"Pong No Paddle"

The idea for this GIF was to make a Pong game with no paddle, hence the blue ball bouncing over Gogeta from Dragon Ball. My teacher said we basically have as much freedom as we want when doing the project as long as it follows the guidelines of the assignment. So here, we have a Pong ball trying to fight Gogeta, all while still following the rules of a ball avoiding a "fence".

"Pong With Paddles" (+ personal twist)

Just like the last one, I had to make a GIF that resembled a game of Pong. However, my own artistic freedom allowed me to make a little fighting match with Goku and Vegeta against Android 21 from Dragon Ball Fighterz. Again, it follows the directions by having three moving objects interact with each other, but with my own personal additions.

Banner

This is a banner GIF I made to test my skills a little more. It involves animating words to move around the screen. Due to going to Salinas High School, the term was "GO COWBOYS!" because of our mascot.

Muybridge Animation

This is a project I made using some of the images of the photographer Eadweard Muybridge. The goal was to create a story using some of the various motion picture images he took. My story was pretty simple, one fighter challenges another fighter into a duel, overall winning the battle in a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Layer Mask X-Ray

Here is a GIF showcasing animation with layer masks. Layer masks are editing tools that can only erase and show portions of something without getting rid of it entirely. For this assignement, I had to simulate an x-ray of some sort. In my case, it's how Frieza refers to the Saiyans in Dragon Ball, monkeys.

Layer Mask Alter Ego

Here is a layer mask animation that shows a character turning into another character. In this case, the voice actor Christopher Sabat turns into one of the many characters he voiced, Roronoa Zoro. Something I noticed when making this is how well the two images blend together, Christopher Sabat himself explained that he projects a lot of himself into voicing the character Zoro sometimes.
