Whole Class Digital Citizenship Activities

Reasonably-sized activities that can be done in about 10 minutes.

Overview:

Just because kids have phones and computers, it does not mean they are inherently good digital citizens. They aren't always nice to each other online, sometimes they take other people's ideas without permission, and many students waste time researching because they just don't know what they're doing.

We know that you are busy teaching EVERYTHING ELSE, and yet, we know that teaching kids to be good digital citizens is important.

We have combed through lessons made by Common Sense Media, pulled out the essential learning from a few of them, and turned that into a bank of 10 minute digital citizenship lessons* addressing several digital citizenship issues.

Please take a few minutes to address digital citizenship in your classroom.

*Each lesson has a link that takes you back to the original Common Sense Media site and the full version of the lesson (for details, answers, resources, etc...).
