The "Draga International Film Fest" is organized by the Fălticeni Cultural Association with the primary objective of promoting and supporting Romanian cinema. The fourth edition of the festival will take place in Fălticeni from August 25 to August 31, 2025.
Festival Sections
The festival includes the following sections:
a) Competitive Section:
Fiction Film
Documentary Film
Fiction Film by High School Students
b) Non-Competitive Section
c) Special A.I. Section - The Special A.I. Section is dedicated to exploring and showcasing the innovative use of artificial intelligence in filmmaking. This section welcomes submissions from filmmakers worldwide who utilize A.I. technology in any aspect of their film production process, including but not limited to scriptwriting, animation, editing, visual effects, and sound design.
The organizer reserves the right to move a film to a different section of the festival than the one chosen at the time of submission, including moving it to a non-competitive section.
General Conditions / Submission
The competitive section (a) is open to all film directors, producers, and co-producers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, TV creators, film schools, and high school students.
The non-competitive and special sections (b, c) are open to filmmakers internationally.
Only submissions completed by August 14, 2025, will be considered, and must include:
The film form (which must include a synopsis + film duration)
A portrait photo of the film's creator (.jpg, 300 dpi)
The film's poster / 3-5 images from the film (.jpg, 300 dpi)
The film submitted via the FilmFreeway platform
Documentaries created for advertising and/or propaganda purposes of any kind are not accepted.
A creator may submit multiple films to the competition. Only the film with the highest score will enter the competition.
If the film contains dialogues in a language other than Romanian, it must be subtitled in Romanian.
The festival reserves the right to use the submitted films for educational and non-commercial purposes, within the cultural events of the Fălticeni Cultural Association.

Pre-selection and Announcement of Finalists
Pre-selection for official entry into the festival will take place from July 14-16, 2025, for films submitted by July 13, and from August 15-16, 2025, for films submitted by August 14.
The announcement of the finalists will be made on August 17, 2025.
The Fălticeni Cultural Association provides accommodation and meals for participants during the festival. To benefit from this, please send an email by August 1st with the name of the film, the filmmaker, and the period during which you wish to attend the festival to dragafilmfest@gmail.com .

Various special awards will be given for outstanding contributions and achievements in the non-competitive and special A.I. sections. These awards recognize unique storytelling, technical excellence, or innovative use of artificial intelligence in film creation.
The awards aim to recognize and celebrate the talent and creativity of filmmakers participating in "Draga International Film Fest."
