My Career Goal

Engineering is a very interesting concept when you think about it and realize all the amazing things you can build and make and create with your inspiration and ideas. The career that I chose to pursue is engineering on base. I chose this career the summer before my freshman year of high school. I decided to choose this path because I thought back to when I would get learning-based boxes in the mail, and I did the engineering boxes. I found it really interesting, started tinkering, and realized engineering was what I wanted to do.

Some classes I have taken in the past and am currently taking that will help me achieve my goal. These classes are computer science discoveries, computer science principles, honors geometry, honors algebra two, and chemistry. I am unsure which way I am going with my program studies. I have taken honors geometry, computer science discoveries, and computer science principles that will help me with the future of my career.

I have participated in 4H outside of school, which has helped to teach me teamwork, patience, leadership, accuracy, and precision. I have not been in any activities outside of school that will help me with my career path. I have not been employed before, so I do not have job experience that will help me in engineering.

Upon graduation from high school, I plan to go to a four-year college for engineering for a degree in engineering. A degree in engineering will help me have better knowledge in the subject which will help me get a good job and hopefully an engineering job on base. I will continue on this path and will not change it, as I am set on this career, as it aligns with my arts and crafts hobby and my interests in robotics.

After achieving my career goal, it will affect my life and the lives of my parents, as I will be able to be financially responsible and be able to help them with money if they need it. This job will not affect the society I live in, in my opinion, but if it does, I hope it is for the better. I hope I can make a positive impact on the world and that I will be able to help others.
