Diego Manco (he/him)
I'm a Posdoctoral Associate at the University of Western Ontario where I'm a part of Chris Kapulkin and Dan Christensen's group. Previously I was a PhD student at the University of Oregon where my advisors were Angélica Osorno and Dan Dugger. Here is my CV. You can contact me at dmanco at uwo dot ca
I'm interested in the interplay between Higher Category Theory, K-theory and Homotopy Theory. I am currently interested in the foundations of Multiplicative K-theory through the use of Multicategories, Operads and similar gadgets.
I'm also interested in (non-analytic) philosophy of mathematics, particularly in the work of Cavaillès, Lautman, Zalamea, Meillassoux and Cassou-Noguès.
Before doing my PhD I was a Master's student at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, where I wrote a Thesis under the advice of Fernando Zalamea. Before that I was an undergraduate student at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, where I wrote a Thesis advised by Carlos Mario Parra. At that time I was mainly interested in Mathematical Logic.
