I am a tenure track researcher at Inria in Montpellier, France, working on the development of Machine Learning / Computer Vision methods to solve Earth observation and environmental problems.
Short bio
2022 - today: Junior professor at Inria Université Côte d'Azur (University of Montpellier antenna), France.
2021 - 2022: Assistant professor at Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
2019 - 2021: Post-doctoral researcher at Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
2017 - 2019: PhD candidate at Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
2015 - 2017: PhD candidate at University of Zurich, Switzerland.
2011 - 2014: MSc on Computation Sciences and Engineering, EPFL, Switzerland.
Research interests
My main research focus is on developing:
Computer Vision methods that are more inherently interpretable, mostly around applications for species identification (fine-grained classification).
Species Distribution Models based on citizen science and Earth observation data.
