Blink ("the app," "we," "our") is a screen-time awareness app for Android. This policy explains what data Blink collects and how it is used.
Data Collection
Blink does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics services, no advertising identifiers, and no network requests of any kind. Everything Blink does happens entirely on your device.
Permissions and Why Blink Needs Them
Display over other apps: Used to show the full-screen break reminder on top of whatever app you're using. Nothing is recorded or transmitted through this permission.
Notifications: Used for the ongoing "Blink is monitoring" status notification and as a fallback reminder if the overlay permission isn't available.
Run in the background: Used to keep the continuous-use timer running while you use other apps.
Usage access: Used to read your device's own screen-time history (the same data your phone's built-in screen-time tools already track) so Blink can show you Insights graphs and recognize when you're on a call, in a video meeting, or navigating. This data is read on-device only and is never transmitted anywhere, stored outside your device, or shared with any third party, including the developer.
Third-Party Services
Blink does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.
Children's Privacy
Blink does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
