Pete has been coaching the DHS baseball team since 2000 when the team had a runner-up finish at the state tourney. The following year he coached his team to the first ever state championship for Dickinson High. That same year he was honored as “Coach of the Year” in Class A High School Baseball. The Midgets have 5 State Championships since the NDHSAA included baseball as a sanctioned sport. The Midgets also have 2 runner-up showings at the State Tournament. Pete is a 1988 graduate of New England St. Mary’s and received his undergraduate science degree from Dickinson State University while playing baseball for the Blue Hawks. Pete currently teaches science at Dickinson High School and assists with the wrestling program. Pete and his wife, Joyce, have 5 children: Michael, Sarah, Zachary, Beth, and Samuel. They lost another very special son (Michael’s twin) during the 2000 baseball season.
